Everything was excellent. The only drawback was the heater which needed to go on and off throughout the night to keep the room warm and it woke us up everytime it cycled.

Very satisfied.. Comfortabel, convenient, child-friendly, athough a little over priced for the area and time of year.

I booked a room because I needed to be in Syracuse for business and wanted to drive up the night before. The temperature when I got to the hotel was -3 Fahrenheit outside. I got my room key, and went up to the room, and when I arrived there, I found a room that was absolutely frigid. The room is not centrally heated, there is a heating/air conditioning unit that has to be turned on for heat. I called the front desk and was told all the rooms are like that, so I had to sit in my winter coat for two hours waiting for the room to reach a tolerable temperature to go to sleep.

My husband and I stayed one night. It was geat!!! Bathroom was big and clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great! I will so stay here again!

Clean room , comfortable beds, although couldn't find any movies to rent off the cable.

Comfortable hotel and room. Clean, nice bathroom and shower. Heater took while to warm the room (it's November), but no big deal. Free Wifi internet in the room, which was great. Free breakfast was very much appreciated. Thought that room was supposed to have microwave and fridge, but there was only a fridge. little annoying, but not a dealbreaker. Location was ok, didn't seem like much was nearby. Over pleased, I would consider staying here again.

The hotel staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Our room was clean and well maintained. We stayed at The Inn last year, and returned this year because we liked it the first time. Should the need arise, we will stay at The Inn again. In addition, we had dinner at the Daniella Steakhouse located at the hotel and it was, by far, one of the best meals we have ever had!

I was in town for a conference and I had early classes, during my stay there was a party in the hallway which kept me awake till 3 a.m. I think management should have had more control over the quiet time . I go to motels to rest not to party. I will chose different accomadations when I visit in the future.

It was clean and neat. Breakfast was great as well.

And the price was very reasonable as well.

Enjoyed my stay very much. Everything in the hotel had been remodeled recently and was clean and new..room was very quiet as it was on the top floor at the end...which is what I like. The only issue I had was breakfast on Sunday morning. There was no food in the hot server and when he did bring the eggs out they were still cold..also the bagels were still mostly frozen...other than that it was a great stay.

I love the convenience of the location and Daniella's, the attached , though separately owned, restaurant. The plumbing and the passing trains are very noisy. I slept with earplugs. One day, niether my room, nor the rooms of friends in the same hallway were cleaned. What's up with that? I would suggest that management offer the possibility of reusing towels rather than replacing them each day for guests with stays longer than one night.

Was great while working at the State Fairgrounds during the State Fair opening weekend. Enjoyed the steakhouse downstairs. Housekeeping did a great job 'resetting' my room each day. Was disappointed that there was no pool and the cigarette smoke smell in my non smoking room.

There was no safe in the room, so when we went to dinner I placed my camera case in the nightstand of our room. The camera case contained our camcorder and camera. The next day, we had to get up very early to catch a train to New York City. We were celebrating my daughter passing her five year mark in completing her cancer treatment. In our haste to make our train I forgot our camera case in the nightstand. I e-mailed immediately from the train, and phoned as soon as we arrived at Penn Station in New York City, I called the hotel directly, speaking with the manager. I explained exactly where the case was and requested they courier it to our hotel in NYC and I would pay the cost, which they agreed to do. No-one had checked into our rooms (which was confirmed at the time), I believed there would be no problem. Three days passed and no package arrived. We were leaving NYC the next day. I called the hotel again, and spoke to the manager who “claimed” the camera case was not there, and that she had checked the room herself. She also “claimed” that she was in there before housekeeping even got in there. One of those statements is obviously false, as I knew exactly where the case was. Also, she had my phone number and my contact information at the hotel in NYC, and over that three days made no attempt whatsoever to contact me to inform me of the theft of my valuables. DO NOT STAY THERE

Clean, commfortable and curtious service. What more could any one ask for?

Very comfortable room and beds.

We have stayed here several times in the past to attend horse shows at the NY State Fairgrounds which are about a minute away. Overall, the hotel has been satisfactory for our needs. The breakfast bar is quick and plentiful, rooms are clean and staff is friendly. The restaurant staff has been accommodating and the meals, tasty. The close proximity to the Carousel Mall is great for shoppers. Naturally, we'll stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel after visiting Wells college. It w as very convient for my trip back to Boston

My biggest mistake to stay at this Best Western. They just grab your money and run, but nothing compliment in return. Very bad, rude people running this hotel that why we stay there 7-nite but parking lot always has a few cars. Breakfast items almost the same and atleast couple weeks old on everything. We had buy Mc. Donald food every morning for my kids. Do not stay at this place. Best Western on State Fair Blvd, Syrecuse, NY

Comfortable, clean and convenient.

...upon arrival lady at the front desk was not very welcoming, she seemed more like to cleaner/janitor than a front desk person. ( D-) Instead of begging for the information, we just went up to our room. later that evening a young man was manning the desk, WOW... he was extremely helpful and was interested in serving the clients, also printed the information for us. ( A+) the buffet breakfast was well stocked on both mornings. Sincerely Bob & Celine.

I could not get internet service. Plug on desk for equipment did not work. If it needs to have light switch iturned on then there should be a sign on the desk to this effect.

Room was excellent, clean looked relatively new and the bed, shower, ammendites were nice. Breakfast the following day food was of good quality as well. I would stay again.

Two separate front counter staff were less than helpful and fairly rude. They gave the impression we were an imposition on their time. Their answers were curt and unengaged. There is a definite need for customer service training here. Also bathroom had not been cleaned - whiskers and hair in sink and shower.

Rooms are super clean and comfortable and the hotel restaurant is wonderful!

hotel and room smelled like chemical spray used to try to cover up dingy smell. As soon as we entered the room, we could hear everything that was going on in a neighboring room. Extra side entry door that you have to use your room key to enter.....was not locked at all while we were there !! our room was right next to it.....not a great feeling, knowing that anyone could enter right off the street. On checkout day, my son, who is medically complicated was having lots of seizures so, I asked if we could stay a few extra hours just until he was stable to move...I got the "I guess it's ok but you have to pay a half day rate up to 3pm and full day rate after 3pm" . We ended up staying an hour and 20 minutes beyond checkout and they charged me for 1/2 day. We have a small, family business so, I get that they need to make money but.....they never asked if they could help, call 911 or even if he was ok when we checked out. They were truly only concerned about training someone to charge me for the half day !!!

This was the only hotel close to the graduation that we were attending. We arrived late and got the last room available. The hotel seemed adequate but when we opened the door to our room we were knocked over by the stale cigarette odor. There was some sort of air filter running on the desk, but it had no effect. As this was the only room left, we had no choice but to stay. Happily, we were able to rise early the next morning and check out.

Overall it was great. The front desk staff were a bit slow at checking us in. It was 11pm and I had a crying baby and she still took her sweet old time which was quite frustrating.

The stay was not good. Housekeeping left my door open, did not make my bed, did not even have linen for my bed, did not refresh towels, need I say more!!!!!!

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It was newly renovated, clean, with a good room size. Our only complaint would be the loud heating/ac unit which seemed to click on every 2 or 3 minutes. The restaurant was also really good. Lots of locals eating there which says a lot! Would definitely stay again!

I wish the front doors to the hotel were automatic. Very difficult to juggle opening doors while dragging luggage. Staf at night was great, staff in the morning was apathetic.

I have stayed in the hotel for many years due to closeness to the fairgrounds. I always felt it was a moderate hotel at best with fairly clean rooms at a decent rate, and Daniella's steak house which is attached is a great little steak house with a full bar. When I checked in this year I noticed that they had renovated more in the lobby, but when I walked into the room I was amazed at the transformation the rooms had taken. Everything seemed recently remodeled. They bed was nice and firm with plenty of good pillows and a nice clean comforter on top. Not one of those thin papery ones that a lot hotels use. There was a large flat screen television and your own Keurig coffee makers with a few K cups left out on top of the mini fridge. Its not a big hotel only 2 floors and probably about 60 rooms in total. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the restaurant though very small is extremely excellent. A great place to stay especially if on business or going to the fair. I come in the beginning of April every year for the dogs shows. Don't worry they don't take dogs except service animals. However, since its right down the road for the fairgrounds where the show is held the place was full of exhibitors. Everyone noticed and commented on the great remodeling of the hotel. I'm sure it will be much harder to get a reservation for next year. Better book early!

Stayed here 3 nights for business. Wasn't sure driving in as I had never been to the "fairgrounds" area before. There's not much around the initial area but Fairgrounds, however Daniella's Steakhouse which is in the hotel is phenomenal, and very well priced for the quality of food. It's only a few minutes away from civilization and anything you could need, and if you are looking to save some money during the fairgrounds offseason, it's clean, quiet, and I'll be back on my next trip!

This is a great hotel. it is literally 3 minutes from nys fairgrounds.

The front desk was polite and helpful upon our arrival. The complimentary breakfast and staff was less than accommodating. We had to find someone to put out cups for juice, ask for hot food, no creamer for coffee and when the hot food came out, it was only eggs, not anything else(there were 3 containers, only 1 got filled). the experience was fine for our brief stay.

very nice room and tv. steak house downstairs. i will return
