Excelent Hotel, Good Quality, Clean Room. The only concern is the expensive breakfast Charge.

My hotel room didn't have a clock in it, so on my date of check-out, I overslept by a few hours. When I tried to check out, the guys at the front desk were insistent that I pay a half day rate. I tried to negotiate it down, but they wouldn't budge. At most hotels, you can request a lake checkout and go over a few hours....not here. I work in a similar business and I would have taken care of this charge without even blinking an eye. Not the best way to generate repeat business.

This hotel was very nice and centrally located. Close to the subway so you can get to all things Beijing. Room was clean and quiet and staff was very courteous. Concierge spoke English but very limited.

The hotel is very clean and has convenient location to most of the sightseeing places. The hotel staffs are friendly with good Chinese food. The hotel arranges sightseeing trips at very reasonable rates. The banks are very close for exchange, even the hotel has money exchange policy at a reasonable rate to other hotels.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the food was good, the coffee was bad. Staff were very helpful. The one problem was I stayed here specifically because on Expedia.com it says wifi in all rooms, this was NOT the case wifi is available in public area only, rooms have wired internet so ipad could not work in my room.

Hotel was located near to Wanfujing where all the actions and activities are. It is next to its sister hotel, the Sunworld Dynasty which is much more pricier. Room was spacious enough and clean with a flat screen TV with many channels including two or three in English.The room temperature was acceptable though the air condition was not functioning but then with temperature falling to -15 deg in winter, who is complaining. Service is lacking such as the bell hop not bothered in assisting with the luggage upon arrival.The front desk staff speaks fairly good English and the concierge is quite knowledgeable with the surrounding areas.The ever popular food street is also accessible by walking. Tianamen Square and the Forbidden Palace is nearby but not accessible by walking. Take the subway which is convenient and cheap (2 yuan) per trip regardless of distance but very crowded. Nearest subway station is Dengshikuo which is a 10 minutes walk. Did not patronize any of the restaurants in the hotel but a good eatery, Merryhome opposite the hotel serves cheap local food with excellent dumplings. Overall this hotel is value for money and would come back again if visiting Beijing again.

Quality of services needs to be improved in this otherwise very good hotel (in terms of the price, location etc)

It was quite a surprise!... lots of luxuries, but at a moderate price. We liked everything except the restaurants which were at luxury prices but rather the pits! The breakfast buffet cost about $27 dollars each. Once I had the "a la carte breakfast" which was okay, but the next time they told us the only "a la carte" breakfast was a SET BREAKFAST (w. choices) . Ours cost $13.03 each and came w. two extra black hairs.... one in the scrambled eggs, one under the plate! However, everything else was OUTSTANDING! The location was spectacular: near a 7/11, a McDonald's, a bakery, a supermarket (where we bought the eggs), and more. There were nice Chinese restaurants, one right smack in front of the hotel. There was a mall a short walk away and the subway was a short walk. (I called it a city block and a half , but my husband called it 4 blocks away!) The concierge, front office all spoke English. There was an easy-to-use large safe deposit box in the room, beautiful picture window, controls for AC and heating, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, terrycloth robes, free slippers. The room was cleaned promptly. We were given two bottles of free purified water every day. We would definitely recommend the hotel, just not the one restaurant (Sunny Cafe).

This hotel value for money, very near to Wangfujing which is a tourist must go. Many shops and eateries and a good bookstore. Also walking distance to the well known Beijing Roast Duck Restaurant.

i was in beijing only for the weekend and this hotel suited my purposes well...i initially selected it as it was a pick up point on a day trip i booked that was starting extremely early, however, i was quite pleased with my room (extra spacious) and comfy bed. Whilst it is a bit further away from the main historical sites (about half an hour walk), you would be hard pressed to find a closer hotel for the price you pay at sunworld. with that being said, it is only 5 - 10 mins walk away from the subway, and a key shopping avenue is just around the corner along with the night food markets / food stalls. overall i would recommend sunworld.

The bathroom tile was not clean at all. The carpet and bedding seemed rather dingy. I don't think they had cleaned under the bed or furniture in quite some time. The buffet breakfast we had at the hotel was not worth the price. The hostess told us one price but we were actually charged a higher price. Whenever we had business at the front desk, we were helped but the staff paid little attention to us as they continued to speak in Chinese amongst themselves. This was a little unnerving as a foreigner. Not sure that I would recommend this hotel to others now that I know of other hotels in the same area.

Hotel location is the best. It takes 5-10 minutes walking to subway station, and one-way subway ticket from any station to any station in Beijing is only RMB 2, or about US$ 0.30-0.40. There is 24 hours McDonald around the corner, 24 hours Seven-Eleven across the street, and a Chinese fast food next to the Seven-Eleven, one item is about RMB 7, and most people eat 2 items (I do), so it costs RMB 14 or about US$ 3 for one meal, some people eat 3 items.

Room - small size as we booked economy room bed size was too small, Location - 10 minutes walk to subway, 20 mins to forbidden city, 10 mins to Wangfujing shopping. Hotel reception staff spoke english. but we asked for late checkout just 2 hrs extension but they refused! Toilitries in room are bad low quality,

Its in a middle of everything. The hotel is pretty close to DENSHIKOU subway station and from there you can pretty much get to anywhere. The staff was really helpful and the rooms very clean and comfy. I would definitely stay again in this hotel

Overall we are satified with this hotel. We have stayed for 3 nights The room was clean and spacious. Despite many complains we found the matraces quite comfortable and not hard at all. Service was also veery good, however check-in desk girls have very limited English and it is sometime hard to communicate. The only complain is that they switched off air conditioning too early (we stayed from 10/9 to 10/12/12 and it was quite hot in the room). We had to sleep with open window. It was quite noisy and advertising lights very bright which prevented us from good night sleep.

The concierge service was excellent and very helpful giving us information to get around the city. The room was nice though the air conditioning was not cool enough for the warm temperature. The breakfast buffet was filling. The location to shopping and the subway was perfect. I would stay here again.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. Staff was helpful after finding someone who spoke English. The rooms were comfortable and fairly clean. One strange thing is that the ceilings were lower than normal in the hallways. The subway was just a block or two down and around the corner. Tiananmen Square was about a 20-25 min walk. The hotel was just a few blocks from the walking street and night market. There was a McDonald's and a KFC, each within 2 blocks from the hotel. Good location and very adequate rooms.

The hotel allowed an earlier check in, the staff at reception could speak english, the room was clean, the neighboorhood has a lot of shops and a 24H supermarket.The not so good things were that the air conditioning couldn't put up with the high temperatures in the evening and the breakfast (not included) didn't have many options - only two types of fruits, one type of cheese and one type of ham on top of omellete, chinese food, cereals, breads, ...

Very convenient location, 2 mins walk to Wangfujing Shopping Street. Currency exchange at hotel and if you need to exchage curreny late night, just go to the lobby at Crowne Plaze across the street and they have a despensing machine exchange. Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square are in the close vicinity. Overall the room have old feel but not worn out and everything is in pretty good condition.

A short walk from Metro station, shopping, and tourist sites. Very good selection at breakfast buffet. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the lady working the tour and travel desk the afternoon of May 29th (wish I could rememberher name). I woulddefinatly stay here again on a future visit.

would think hotel staff should be able to help customer with taxi calling instead of asking customer to go to call for cab at the roadside .

I was not very happy about the location. The subway station was 1( minutes walk. The staff was not very helpful. I was expecting more

Reasonable price hotel in a good location. Walking distance to the forbidden city. Subway station is a 5 min walk. Only problem is the air condition in the room - can be warm.

You will read other comments about the air conditioner issue, they are true my room was to warm most of the time almost to the point of being uncomfortable; however, if you can tolerate that the hotel is in an excellent location, has a friendly and helpful staff, and overall a great place to stay. While not hotel related, I would caution travelers to stay away from: 1) anyone who wants to show you art work, 2) anyone who wants to practice English with you over a cup of tea ( you will end up paying 700rmb for the privilege and 3) unmeatered taxi rides (1 unmetered cab tried to charge 300rmb for a 27 rmb fare) all of these are rip offs so beware travelers!

This was lower priced than other equivalent star rated hotels so I was a little apprehensive. However it was all good. Walkable to the main attractions and close to the subway. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

,location is good, room is cozy. but AC was not turned on except for a few hours before 11pm. i'm not sure about the daytime - was out all day. they turn it off at night and when i complained i could not sleep, they asked me to open my window. will definitely look for a room with a private AC next time, even if its 2 or 3 star

good location.nice rooms. friendly service. they turn off the central AC at night, so we couldn't sleep well. don't be fooled by the claim of in-room AC controls - it doesn't work when they turn it off at the main control. when we complained about it to the manager, they said we should open our window. if i am going to pay a 4star price for a hotel, i expect a 4star service. better to go to a 3star hotel with the same service and private AC in the rooms

Very convenient location. Close to shopping, sights, banks and supermarket. Taxi is not a problem. Staff are respectful and helpful. The rooms we got are good. Recommended for practical travellers. Wired Internet is free in the room but you need to go to the lobby if you need a wireless connection. Overall experience is pleasant.

SunWorld hotel is OK, nothing speciel however with location in a nice area

The hotel is within walking distance from the main sights as the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. A metro station lies also close by. The neighbourhood is otherwise quite uninteresting save for some hutongs behind the hotel (massage establishments, small shops and restaurants). For the price it is a steal.

Camere doppie spaziose ma non si puo dire la stessa cosa per le camere triple,piccole e particolarmente poco idonee a tre persone.Personale molto scortese e' cio che fa di questo hotel la cosa piu dispiacevole,situato in centro citta garantisce la possibilita di vedere i punti piu importanti di Pechino in maniera semplice e veloce.Le camere che danno sulla strada sono molto rumorose a causa del traffico.Camere pulite e comfort non sono in discussione,piu che soddisfacente.La pulizia e' ottima.

Trevligt hotell, centralt i Beijing. Ca 15 -20 min promenad till Förbjudna staden. och Himmelska friden torg. Vi var mkt nöjda med servicen också, men ett litet minus var "stenhårda" resår sängar..men även det gick att vänja sig vid! Frukosten i dyraste laget.., skall jämföras med 4 rätters middag för 2 personer inkl dryck på restaurang! Men.. Vi löste det med att handla på närbeläget supermarket! Rekommenderas!

Rummet var rent och prydligt, två breda sängar, tyvärr saknades handdusch.Vårt rum låg mot gatan med störande trafik- ihållande tutande från 6 på morgonen. Hotellet som helhet var rent och välskött. Servicen utmärkt, vi fick hjälp med allt vi bad om. Tyvärr var ju frukosten inget vidare, om man inte vill äta nudlar, så vi åt den ute.Hotellets två restauranger rekommenderas inte. 5-10 min till tunnelbanan som kan rekommenderas.

Super beliggenhed

房間由於裝修番新過，所以算是清潔整齊。唯一不足是洗手間的shower glass door 破了，只是加上一條removable的窗簾通和一般浴簾. 酒店內的中菜廳價廉味美，比旁邊的兄弟五星酒店更讚!
