Had tv issues that were promptly fixed. Understood rooms had safes, disappointed there were none available. Ok rooms but great location. Go to Howlin Wolf next door and don't miss out on the WWII museum.

We had a fantastic experience! No downside. The service was excellent, the rooms were great, and the location was very convenient.

You will find fancier hotels near the convention center, but their prices are much higher. Very convenient location. Springhill was above average in cleanliness, facilities and the professionalism of the staff. The rooms are very large. Most travelers would find it perfectly adequate when in town on business or pleasure. There aren't many restaurants closeby. It's about a 1/2 mile walk to the tourist area.

Great hotel. Breakfast fantastic. Very clean. Location perfect to visit WWII Museum, Downtown, French Quarter. Highly recommend.

This hotel provided breakfast. Very nice rooms with sofa bed. Walking distance to streetcar which we used as our major source of transportation. Also walked and took taxi back from French Quarter. We took a cruise at end of our stay. In a old part of town.

We were disappointed with Springhill Suites by Marriot for several reasons. It is farther away from the French Quarter than we thought, so we ended up paying for taxis a few evenings. The hotel was packed as it is close to the cruise ship port and on Friday night before guests left for their cruises, the hotel was noisy with kids running around. The breakfast buffet was nice, but the lines were very long and the food kept running out faster than the staff could replace it. There was no place to sit and eat due to the crowds. Guests were taking the food to their rooms.The hotel was clean but the rooms were furnished very cheaply. The bed wasn't very firm. the TV is in a weird place between the living area and the bedroom so you have to watch it at an angle. There was no dresser for clothes. All in all, it wasn't the worst place I have ever stayed, but with all of the hotels in New Orleans we could have done much better than this hotel. We stayed here because we got an internet deal of only $99 a night and we didn't have a lot to spend on the hotel this time.

The front desk staff was very friendly, we were 4 blocks from Canal Streetcar and 3 from Riverfront Streetcar. Rooms were clean and quiet, beds comfortable, towels and toiletries good quality. Breakfast was superb, offering hot and cold items. Only complaint was the bed pillows, they looked firm and fluffy, but compressed to nothing as soon as you put your head on them. Convenient location, but neighborhood still recovering from Katrina, felt completely safe walking to all the streetcars, even late at night. Would definitely come back and plan to stay at this chain in future travels.

We were very pleased and will stay again.

I like the parking here as opposed to the more "upscale" hotels. Self park, short walk, easy access to your car, lower parking rates. If you have a vehicle you should consider this location. Great overall value.

Had a great time - loved New Orleans! Hotel was convenient to trolley lines, casino, buses and close enough to walk to places.Breakfast was delicious

Maid service was ok but the room was comfortable and close enough to French Quarter for walking or taking a taxi or the strettcar.

First impression was great, once I entered my room, noticed soiled, stained decorative cover, and stained mattresses. Shower leaked, and was more like a drizzle. Housekeeping was below average. Room did not get vacuumed, the three days we stayed. Breakfast was the same every day, either dried up scrambled eggs and dried up sausage or ham.....

It was ok the room was not cleaned well. The location was a bit industrial.

This was our fourth annual family mini-vacation to New Orleans, and the first time we'd stayed at this hotel. We will definately return to this hotel next year! The hotel and room were great. The bed was soft, everything was clean, having a fridge was wonderful and the room had plenty of room for us to relax and our 4 year old to play without everyone feeling like we were right on top of each other. They upgraded us to a balcony room (one of six) for free and allowed us to check in early. I also liked that they had a full sized hairdryer. Our only "complaint" was that the continental breakfast wasn't that great, but I suppose you can't expect a four star breakfast. We walked many times from the hotel to the riverwalk mall (for browsing and beignets), the Louisiana Children's musuem, and even to the french quarter (It's also walking distance to the acquarium and the DDay musuem). Two great restaurants within a few blocks are Pie (an amazing pizza/pasta place) and Mulate's (a seafood place-- try the crabcakes!). We caught this hotel at a fantastic price through this site.

The hotel was nice. The room was clean. My only problems were with location (it's close enough, but the neghborhood is a bit sketchy), the limited and expensive parking and them running out of coffee all the time. Overall, it was great value for the money.

My family and I have stayed at 3 preivous SpringHill hotels, so I pretty much know what to expect from this chain. I was not disappointed with my overall expirence. The hotel is in a location that requires a little travel to see the sights of New Orelans. The on site parking is a perk, but be careful since the parking garage fill up quick, and would be difficult to navigate in some larger vehicles. Overall I would say my expirence was great. I have a family of 5 with 3 children younger than 10. This hotel works well with familys since you are away from the busy part of the city, and the on site breakfast make it easier to get ready in the mornings.

The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel did try to charge us for an extra night of parking -- so be sure to carefully review your receipts. When I pointed that out to them, they quickly removed the charge. Breakfast buffet was nice but VERY crowded -- would be helpful for the hotel to extend the breakfast hours during the weekday, especially during weeks of spring break.

This was only 2 blocks away from the convention center which was really convenient. Staff was accommodating and helpful. I only stayed for one night. Only one problem was the tv. It didn't work when I turned it on until I tightened the cable wires behind the tv, then it worked ok. Some static still on some channels.

Overall the hotel was acceptable but the room next to ours was very loud with children running the hallways late into the night. Had to call front desk and have them send security up to quiet the people down. Hotel was far enough off the main attractions to not have some quiet time but close enough to walk to all the attractions.

They have very limited parking.but overall very nice staff and hotel.

This hotel is perfect if you are taking a cruise out of New Orleans. It was clean and quiet with a great breakfast included and walking distance to the cruise ship.

This was a great hotel for the proximity to the convention center. It served a nice breakfast and had great coffee. Hot tea and beverages were available through most of the day. The rooms were fine and the extra space was convenient. Unfortunately, there wasn't much sound insulation so it was easy to hear street noise and talking in other guests' rooms.

The location of the hotel was nice but the noise from the area bars was terrible. The bars played very loud music which kept my family from getting sleep. Finally was able to sleep once the music stopped at 05:30. Was not told about the bars before hand and since we did not get the kids back till midnight, it was to late to try and locate another room. Staff was very nice.

We had a wonderful stay. It was close to everything we wanted to do, or easy to access a taxi to get there. Breakfast Buffett was best hotel breakfast we had been to. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others.

Good place, clean and comfortable. Great value for NOLA. Just a quick tram ride, or cab from French Quarter and all attractions. Parking was a bit difficult and a pain but other than that, a really good place. Definitely good for families. Nice little bar across the street, good selection of local/nola brews. Nice place to wind down after the craziness of the quarter.

Room 304 was next to elevators and i assume the mechanical room was very close. If you can sleep with a constant whining sound you'll love this room. I asked twice to be relocated and was told hotel was booked. I am a Marriott platumn member and find this hotel not up to standards!

The hotel room was refurbished nicely. We made use of the pool as it was quite warm in October. Breakfast was generous. We didn't explore the neighborhood at night but there are some nice restaurants/bars within 3 blocks. Parking at the hotel is quite expensive, I would suggest the 2 parking lots on the same street (one is $10 per day, one is $5 per day). Parking on the street requires you to wake up early to move your vehicle - I wouldn't bother with the hassle. Easy check-in, nice staff, stylish room (we booked the studio) ... I liked it here.

Great hotel, The staff was friendly, The rooms were clean. Great continetal breakfast incuding waffles. The entire hotel features stylish decor. Another plus is the closeness to the Convention center, I could even see it from my room. Great restaurants close by and the Street Car staion is just three blocks away. I have absolutely no regrets about booking this hotel. Great place to stay in NOLA.
