very nice

Nice area, very good hotel and staff member!

Pro's: 5 minute walk from the excellent Madrid Metro. 10 mins by taxl from airport. Good food. Good beer. Friendly/helpful. CONS: Beds were stiff. Single beds instead of doubles, placed together to be a double bed, but were made up as single beds. Could here everything from others rooms because of wooden floors, and lack of sound proofing on the furniture. Restaurant opened at 8:30pm, and had the same menu as the small bar area. Beer selection, only 1 beer to choose from. WiFi was slow in the evening.

Nice, moderately priced hotel. Clean and in fairly good condition. Restaurant offers only a basic, limited selection (sandwhiches mostly) but the food is quite edible and ambience simple but pleasant. Bed is hard and pillows are flat, maybe not a problem for some guests but not too comfortable for me. Room was clean and everything worked. Staff not overly friendly but efficient. Location is not for tourists wanting to see Madrid, but convenient for business travellers wanting to be near the airport and convention centre, about 20 minutes by taxi from each. Beware of refund policies at certain times; I had to leave a day early but had to pay the last night anyway, which was in their policy but still annoying.

The service was excellent. The room was great. You can pay 20 euros more and have either breakfast, lunch or dinner and a late check-out which is very convenient. The hotel is not far away from the airport, 15 to 20 minutes away, paying around 21 euros for the ride. It is a bit far from subway/metro when you are carrying heavy luggage but there are two buses that stop right in front of the hotel!

Nice 4 star hotel. two metro stations near by PIO XII and Duque de Pastrana. 30 mins to the airport and city centre. Friendly and helpful staff

Stay was good, even spent an extra night - unfortunately not at the same rate as the first. This was my first time using Hotel.com so did not think to let you know I needed the extra night. Sad cause the E26 made such a difference to my mood as I was told by the member of staff that it would be the same price. However the next day a male member of staff was just so stern insisted I paid the full rate. Not a smile or appology just you have to pay. I liked all the female staff who were very polite.

Comfortable hotel, good breakfast spread, nice and quiet neighborhood. NOT near the center of town, if that matters to you. More like a convention hotel. If you don't mind a short walk to the Pio XII Metro station, this is the place to stay. The Colombia Metro (different line from Pio XII) is just another block or so more, and it's a direct line to the Airport. (€2.50 one way). ROOM PROS: Windows open, which is important since one of the ROOM CONS is that the heat can't really be controlled. Another ROOM PRO is the double-shower-head situation in the shower. Very comfortable. Unfortunately, our room had a CON in that the shower leaked all over the floor every time due to the instability of the glass partition "attached" to the tub and the floor drain was on the other side of the bathroom. Another ROOM PRO that we enjoyed was the in-room safe and the easy-to-use free Wi-Fi. One CON for me was the rock-hard mattress, but this was a PRO for my spouse...so they'll cancel each other out. We traveled by train, so the parking situation is unknown. The breakfast spread was great. Food was tasty, variety was good. If you want to get your own food, there's a supermarket down the street, with restaurants a few blocks more. The in-room fridge is big enough to keep supplies, and free bottles of water are provided daily. We would definitely stay here again next time in Madrid. Close proximity to the Chamartin train station (with access to Cercanías and RENFE trains) made daytripping very easy to El Escorial, Avila, Segovia, and more. Get a 10-ride Metro ticket and save some money coming and going from this hotel. Staff was VERY friendly every time we came and went. :)

Confortel Pio XII in Madrid is a high quality, clean modern hotel near the Chamartin station. very convenient for our clients offices in Madrid. Recommeded.

Nice stay at this hotel. Although the service could be better. I asked for a meeting room and they couldn't provide me one because I should have asked for one day in advance (and there were plenty rooms unused!!)

This hotel was a 10 in all regards! The room was great--new, marble bathroom, sitting area and comfortable beds. The staff, however, made this hotel all that it is. The desk staff were helpful in all requests, and were eager to satisfy. The restaurant was pleasant, and Jose Maria did all that he could to make guests happy. He became a good friend and answered many questions about Madrid, and he spoke excellent English. The hotel was conveniently located to the metro, bus, taxi service, and a 7 minute walk to Chamartin train station.

Away from rest, entertainment, downtown, etc... Bus #150 is close and takes you directly to Puerta del Sol. The only thing is that it does not ride as frequent as downtown buses. The Metro st. is 10 min. away. Convinient to Chamartin Train St. and Airport. Especially if you have early trip on a week day. I had to change rooms twice, because of deficiencies on the rooms.

Excellent value. Just a little off the touristic path (subway and bus station very close though). Will use again!

Bus stop near hotel took us directly to Puerta del Sol in the city center (35 minutes).

Stayed here for four nights and was a lovely hotel, very friendly clean and newly furbished. had free internet access. its location is a bit out of town but has direct bus and metro line to madrid town centre, well worth it for the price

We cannot buy the train tickets from Lisbon to Madrid, we bought bus tickets instead, and hence arrive some hours earlier at 9am, they are nice to let us a a free early checkin. You know it is tired after so called 'sleeping' by bus. The place is very safe, close to Charmatin station but suggest to go by PIO XII station, because it is even closer, you can take a bus, just 2 stop, and dont need to walk with luggage. It is close to supermarket.

Jättebra! Lite långt från centrum-men buss precis utanför direkt in i det innersta av sta´n.

Lo escogí por los comentarios, estaba de paso hacia Italia por una noche en Madrid, está a unas 5 cuadras de la estación de metro asi que la jalada de maletas es algo molesta pero no dificil, la atención muy bien, la habitación igual, internet WiFi, el baño bien, el desayuno buffet incluido estuvo aceptable. Está alejado del centro pero por metro es muy facil movilizarse, la zona es muy tranquila, hay muchas embajadas alrededor.

Udmærket hotel som levede op til alle de forventninger mand har til et hotel i middel klassen. Tænger dog smule til renovering diverse stader.

É Necessario trocar os colchoes, nao sao muito macios, nos demais quesitos o hotel é muito bom.

Muy bueno. Las instalaciones nuevas y el servicio excelente. Ubicado en una zona demasiado tranquila, no hay mucho alrededor.

Hyggelig betjening, god mat og drikke, rask servering

Tras dejar tras de mi en la habitación una sin fin lista de cables, cargadores y demás artilugios y tras una llamada a la recepción me lo enviaron por mensajero al día siguiente de forma eficiente.

Perfecto. La zona es muy tranquila. La habitacion muy amplia y moderna. No entra un ruido por las ventanas. LLegamos. Dejamos el coche en la puerta del hotel. Indicamos en recepción que teniamos reserva por internet. Pedimos cama única. Somos pareja. No hubo problemas. No nos cobraron el parking tampoco ;) que eran 15e. La cafetería cierra a las 23:00. Hay zona verde para aparcar en el exterior. La habitacion tiene de todo. Bar, caja fuerte, secador, minibar, tele, aire, calefacion, enchufes y era la mas economica (62e con iva para los dos que fuimos)

Yo fui por negocios y me quedaba muy cerca de la oficina. El barrio muy bien y el hotel muy bueno. Habitaciones espaciosas y con buena vista. El mantenimiento del hotel en general muy bueno. Además para quienes quieren hacer deportes hay un lugar cerca para hacer gimnasia y piscina. A una cuadras está el Alcampo por si necesitan hacer compras. Respecto al centro de la ciudad queda un poco más lejos, pero vale la pena porque es una zona tranquila. Además alquilé un coche y tenía estacionamiento a 15 euros por día. Todo muy bien.

Fue satisfactoria y las expectativas cumplidas. Ya lo conocía y no se ha descuidado en el trato y comodidad en los últimos años.
