Very convenient toVanderbilt university. Nice freindly and helpful personel.

Very convenient to Campus with Barnes & Noble, Starbucks & other food options very close.

Booked hotel thru hotels .com and requested 2 double beds they refused to give that to me.Only had kings in rooms.Then the RENOVATION AGAIN!The hotel was under construction and then to top it off I got my bill that my charge card was billed 30.00 dollars from bar that was not from me.Someone used my room and signed there name and I had them remove it after they realized that it was not my signature.Went to breakfast at hotel and the chair broke as I sat down.The staff is very unfriendly

Hallways were littered with food from room svc that wasn't picked up for 48 hours. Hallways smelling bad. Parking is difficult. Valet lines are long, but self-parking is far away, and the cost is only $1 less. No good answers here. Having said that, the hotel is in a great location, and the Holliday Inn next door is certainly worse.

The Marriott Vanderbilt off West End Ave. is a beautiful hotel that is located next to the Vandy Stadium. While close to the University, parking at this hotel is expensive and can be complicated. If you valet park (fairly easy) your car you will pay extra $$$$ on top of your room fee for overnight or you can save $3 whole dollars OFF that fee and wander through the MAZE of parking garages to find your way back to the hotel. The hotel apparently has LESS double beds than king's, so even if you reserve/request a double bed room, you may not get it. They will then stick you with the Roll Away/TORTURE TABLE Bed. DO NOT TAKE THIS BED, unless you want to store you luggage on it or perhaps a corpse!!! Impossible for an adult to sleep on this bed of nails, maybe a SMALL child or an infant, but no one over 4 should be made to do this. When you get up the next morning, you could go down to the restaurant and have an OVERPRICED breakfast buffet (most was ok, scrambled eggs were terrible) or you could sensibly leave and get a nice, much cheaper breakfast at the Wendy's across the street. You can pre-order breakfast and have it delivered to your room at specific times (still pricey) but I didn't do that. Hotel is attractive, clean and well-located, but I did not like the expensive extras they hit you with. Oh, also, you have to pay to use wifi in your room. You can do just as good somewhere else, cheaper (better value), maybe not as conveniently located. Drive a little farther, park for free, free wifi and breakfast included and you'll come out way ahead of this place and your wallet will still be somewhat intact.

Hotels location is a little tough to get parked due to traffic, but that is the only negative I have to say about it. The location was wonderful though if you need lots of food choices and drinking hole options within walking distance. The hotel was clean, everything worked in the room, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very nice stay.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Disappointed that for the price there was no hot tub in the pool area.

Our stay was uneventful, aided by very helpful and customer-oriented staff. Rooms are comfortable but a little dated We had issues with operations, which do not run as smoothly as they should: the two times we sent clothes to the laundry we didn't get them back on time, and on check-out the bellman never showed up and we had to take our multiple pieces of luggage ourselves.

The perfect hotel to take in Vanderbilt and all Nashville has to offer. Could not ask for better location, friendlier staff or cleaner rooms. While we did not come for the Hotel, the Marriott rounded out the wonderful time we had. We will be back.

We had been to Nashville 7 years ago & eaten at a restaurant we all liked but couldn't remember the name. We gave a discription of the restaurant to the fellows at the desk & they knew the place we were looking for! We ate there again, what fun! The shuttle service was a wonderful service & the driver suggested several interesting places for us to see, We had a great time in Nashville with excellant service from the hotel staff & a lovely room.

I would expect more with the price. The gym could be improved and cleaniness of the rooms. I do love the location and liked the hotel staff.

We went for the U2 concert at Vanderbilt Stadium. Little did we know that one of our rooms would be looking out at the stadium and watching the U2 stage being put together!! The hotel service was excellent. Holise, Gail and especially Craig, the shuttle driver, made our stay special with their knowledge of restaurants and activities in Nashville. Great location and a hotel shuttle service that will take you where you need to go!! Will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the Marriott, great location, across from park, walking distance to downtown!! Great time!!

Our stay was a fortunate mistake. We thought we had booked for another nearby Marriot we had stayed with before, but realized upon arrival that we hadn't. Just a short distance from all of the events of downtown and a quick shuttle or cab ride. The property was extremely nice and the room very comfortable. Self parking was a slight inconvenience, so valet parking may be a much better option. Several very nice restaurants are nearby. We will return.

Hotel is located on Vanderbilts campus, also near all the Vanderbilt sports stadiums. Enjoyed the complimenty breakfast. Nice gym and indoor pool.

Ok place but the Lowes 3 blocks away is much better for the same price

I was a little disappointed when I arrived and there were fingerprints and glass rings on the countertop in front of the television. As a consequence, I was extremely pleased when I came in the next afternoon and my room was spotless.

First the positives....Location is great...on the Vanderbilt campus. The buffet breakfast was wonderful with a marvelous selection including made to order omelets. The negatives....front desk had a terrific receptionist who unfortunately had no help for check-ins as well as dispensing information. Self parking was expensive (about $20 per night) and required a hike to the hotel. The hallyway carpet appeared to have been cleaned several days before. Out of 13 hotels where I have stayed in Europe, Asia and the US in the past three months, I would rank this hotel 12th....average at best and somewhat disappointing given my other choices.

I'd been having trouble with insomnia, and I decided to pamper myself for my trip to Nashville and stay in a four star hotel. It was worth every penny. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I slept 9 hours and woke up refreshed.
