Days Inn Clayton Nm - كلايتون

We usually take 2-3trips through Clayton every year, and have learned our lesson on hotels. The Clayton days inn is always a pleasant stop. It is always clean, and the staff is friendly, with a free continental breakfast in the morning as a bonus.

Most everything about hotel was as promised. However, our family was travelling far over the holidays, and for a special treat chose this hotel for the hot tub. It was very disappointing to step into it and find out it was not working. We subsequently learned it had been out for a few days. We felt we should have been notified before arrival or when we checked-in (before we were settled in room). No discount was offered by the manager.

We were most disappointed in the breakfast buffet. There was no selection. The gravey for biscuits was watered down. The orange juice was not fresh.

Pretty much everything as expected from this level of hotel. The only real complaint is that the pool water was green.

This hotel smelled and looked clean as you check in and in our room was great. Hot tub and Pool were nice and indoors. I will go back to this hotel when in Clayton.

Our room was nice. It was clean and comfortable. There were ceiling fans in each room so the air conditioning could be better distributed in the room. I wish all hotels would do that. Our first room air conditioner was not working very well so they found us another room which was much cooler...

The kids loved the Dino statues across the street and the breakfast was great too.

We stay here every year we go to Colorado on vacation. The beds are extremely comfortable, and we love that each room has a ceiling fan! While there are many families with children, the rooms are extremely quiet. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Having an indoor pool is a winner with our grandsons (who travel with us often). There are other options in town, but we will always choose Days Inn in Clayton.

Traveling from Houston, Texas to Colorado on December 26, 2010 we stayed at Days Inn in Clayton, New Mexico on the way to Colorado. We did not get much sleep due to noise of trains next to hotel-every hour of the night. This hotel has no restraunt-on our arrival at 6:00 PM we were not able to find much to eat in town-pizza or a hamburger. We felt we were overcharged for the room due to travel during the holidays-rates were 50 dollars higher than normal-other people were complaing about the rates. We did some checking and found out in other towns and different hotels we stayed at on this trip in Texas and Colorado they were not overcharging the normal room rates during the holidays. Clayton, New Mexico does not have a lot to offer for the traveling motorist and it seams to me during this holiday the traveler was being taken advantage of due to the towns location. We travel through this area quiet often and this is our first and last time we will stay in Clayton, New Mexico. We will either stay in Texas, Raton, New Mexico or In Colorado.

The hotel was very nice, everything seemed very new. They had a pool and hot tub area that the kids really enjoyed; it was very clean and we had a great time. The breakfast was also very nice, as they had a waffle iron to make your own waffles. The only downfall to this was there was only one waffle maker, and everyone wanted to do this! So I would recommend getting to breakfast earlier rather than later if you don't like waiting in line. As for surroundings, the hotel is located in a very small town, so there is not much to do, but it is located very close to a grocery store and several restaurants/fast food places. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

The best hotel in Claton. Good stop point with inside doors to the rooms.

This hotel is one of the few between Denver and Amarillo, and seems pricey. The rooms are clean, cool and the breakfast is great. My one problem is the air conditioner never cycles on and off, needlessly to say in the middle of the night I had frost on my nose (or felt like it).

This was the best hotel in town. Book your room ahead of time. They were the first hotel in town to have no vacancy on a Friday night. The room was clean and comfortable. The inside pool was nice. The surrounding houses were run down but I never felt we were in a dangerous area and did not worry about my car being parked in the front of the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful.
