we found the staff very congenial and friendly, the room was fine for our purpose. The bedding was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again as my daughter lives in the neighbourhood.

More of a business hotel. Really not in Del Mar and quite aways from the beach areas. Nice staff.

Nice and very clean place to stay, especially if you need to be in Carmel Valley for business or an event. We were in the area for a wedding and the hotel was nice enough to upgrade our rooms since we were in the wedding party and needed a place to get ready for the big day. We didn't have time to check out the pool or the restaurant, but they seem like they would have been really nice. Parking is pretty expensive, that's the only downside.

Park behind the hotel along the street. I thought of it and parked there to fin many others had done the same. Save $18.00!

We were touring univerties and the general San Diego area. The Marriott in Del Mar was the perfect location. Nothing was more then 15 minutes away. Great hotel and an amazing value!

This hotel is modern and clean, and the staff are attentive and polite. The surrounding neighborhood does not have anything more to offer than strip malls, office buildings and highway access. Because the hotel seems to share a parking deck with an adjacent office building, hotel guests are billed $18/day for parking, which I've not experienced before in a suburban setting.

They are not included. It's $18.00 per day for self parking. $24.00 for Valet per day. Also lots of young people.

Front desk customer service needs improvement. All other employees of the hotel were friendly and helpful. $18 (we had knowledge of the fee coming in) for parking is way to much plus we got charge 3 times for a 1 night stay. They credited the extra charges. Room was excellent. I would recommend the hotel since only problem was the parking fee and the front desk customer service.

We had a party in the Ballroom and the service was excellent. The making of our reservations was easy, especially since we made them 3 hours before the stay. We had a great time. The only thing we couldn't understand was the overnight parking of $18.00. Thanks Marriott

The hotel is a little rundown and the overall service is very poor. Not worth their prices. The restaurant and bar at night time are great but avoid the breakfast buffet: blant, poorly stocked and terrible service. The Hotel is poorly staffed with inexperienced managers, none would survive one day at a Hyatt , Westin or Ritz Carlton. Try the Hampton inn across the street as it should be a better value proposition as the main atraction of this hotel is the location.and its dinner restaurant.

Extra charges for parking and internet. Price of room was far too expensive to not include subtle comforts such as internet and breakfast. Room did not have fridge or microwave even upon request. Parking is separate location from hotel. Really had to question why was this room so expensive?

This hotel was very nice. The worst thing was the charge for PARKING $18.00 a night. REDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Other than the parking, there was a spot on the carpet in the room which in my opinion should have been cleaned before giving the room out again. I didn't expect that in a Marriott Hotel. Breakfast was very good so I guess that made up for the parking charge. We would probably stay there again.

room was to small and location wasn't near to downtown nor beach. Customer service was good though

the room so clean, the bedding was very comfy.we had a great stay.will come back again.

Awesome hotel with great amenities. The pool area was very nice and attractive. Parking was close by and valet was a plus. Close to the city and freeway on ramp! really enjoyed the stay!

We loved the location of this hotel for our family of five, close to the beach,restaurants, with a pool etc. The service at the restaurant was very poor. Not a big deal..However, the hotel failed to mention a Fortune421 Party at the hotel pool on Sunday which had loud music,dancing with men and women in string bikinis and sexual references our 14 and 17 year old could not be exposed to. The hotel offered to take us to another Marriott pool in La Jolla. This was not convenient and unfortunately our "family time" at the pool was put at a stand still. Very disappointed that we did not have the information ahead of time.

Great stay. Only complaint would the double beds. They were very small.
