First the positives: Great location on the beach and 5 minutes from Broadway at the Beach. Great service. Room was very clean well except for the grout in the bathroom. Negative is the overall condition of this hotel. It's old and needs a complete remodel. The carpet is old, it's been painted a hundred times, the elevators are shared with maintenance and guests, the balcony doors wouldn't lock, grout in the bathroom was kinda gross because it was white in some places, but mostly dirty and black, bedspreads could be replaced, etc.

The refridgerator went out causing us to lose our food also carpet needed changing

We really enjoyed our oceanfront room. The room was very clean and comfortable and the hotel was within walking distance to many restaurants. The hotel staff was also very friendly. I would definitely stay there again!

I have stayed at PG on numerous occasions because of the location and the standard of the hotel. I have visited Mb overnight more than a hundred different times and most of the hotels are the same on the inside. Not many of those hotels stand out to me except PG for the price.

Suite was great, view was SPECTACULAR, rooms were nice, staff was nice, definitely would recommend and would go back!

My husband and I chose the Patricia Grand for our first trip without our kids in 17 years! I was a little bit apprehensive because there were a few negative reviews, but we could not have chosen more wisely. We got there much too early for even the early check in and the desk attendant Katie was just so helpful! She gave us ideas for things to do while we waited for the early check in and also offered the hotel amenities up to us.The room was really comfortable and updated (I had asked for an updated room because I had read a Hotels.com review that recommended it)! The indoor pools were great--very warm and clean and quite large. It was a little too cold to swim in the outdoor pool, but the pool area was so beautiful and comfortable. The ONLY thing that we had any type of problem with was housekeeping. If you have your "do not disturb" sign on the door, you have to notify the desk when you leave. Even though we actually told the housekeeper (that was cleaning next door) that we were leaving the room and that she could clean it, we arrived back in the evening to an uncleaned room. The front desk staff was quite helpful, though, offering to send someone up immediately to clean it. We just needed clean towels, though, and they got them right away for us! My husband liked the gym and I liked sleeping in while he was AT the gym! The parking was convenient and we were able to get a spot on the first level on all but the weekend days. Overall, wonderful place!!

very happy and look forward to another stay soon...very nice people and facility was very impressing to me...read many comments before arriving and was nervous but upon arrival i found all to be false ....this is a great place and i recommend

This was my second time staying here and just as the first it was very enjoyable...the front desk staff was very nice and polite. My room was cleaned daily. My only mild issue was that the lazy river wasnt heated so ALL the kids were palying around in the hot tub instead.Other than that I will be back this summer after it warms up.

It was pouring rain, and my husband and I had just drove 5 hours from meetings in NC. We wanted to spend our anniversary at the beach before going home to NV. Instead of booking us in a smoking room, the operator had "requested" a smoking room at a completely NON SMOKING PROPERTY. When I called, the operator at first told me that there was nothing that she could do, and then offered $60.00 - that's as "good as I would get". A mgr finally credited 1 night's stay. I don't need their or the hotel's arrogance - I will use another service in the future.

There are way too many nice resorts in MB in the same price range. This place had so many minor maintenance problems that it made the stay unpleasant. The evening desk clerk is awful for customer service; no etiquette; no smiles, nothing. He practically ignores guests who are standing right there at the desk. He made me wait 15 minutes,without even acknowledging my presence, just so he could dial up someone and leave a voice mail! I was livid!!! Lazy river is small and very shallow. Hot tubs aren't kept warm enough. One was very cloudy and filled with soap bubbles. Half the jets in the outdoor spa don't work and the light never worked. We had to sit out there in the dark the entire time. The unit we stayed in was dirty. I wiped off all the surfaces when I checked in. Furniture was old and broken. The heat worked well though - it was very cold during our visit. The coffee shop is only open 3 hours a day 8 to 11 a.m. The restaurant staff are also lacking in customer service. They complain that they are shorthanded, daily. Customers wait unreasonable amounts of time just to be acknowledged. They take forever to serve you, and they serve guests out of order, when they finally do get you seated.

The greatest advantage of the Patricia Grand is that it is ocean front and the staff are very helpful. The location is great because you can easily get to attractions by car and you aren't in the middle of the tourist trap shops thus it is more peaceful. The property is adequate. Paint was peeling from the walls near the windows, the plastic dollar store furniture on the patio wasn't relaxing and the shaky door locks on the patio left me feeling less than secure. Mattresses were old and lacked support & comfort. Esthetically the decor lacked warmth with it's 1980's vibe, the worn sofa and table with broken legs (with the exception of the flat screen TVs. The microwave was old, no turn table, the old coffee maker and there was no garbage disposal and the VERY LOUD heater/AC round out the need for updating. The SMALL indoor lazy river and pool ARE heated which was great as it was spring and because the property is on the beach, makes it worth the inconvenience of the room if you plan to use it only for sleeping and changing. IF you are looking for a sanctuary, you won't find it here. I was saddened that to have Starbucks coffee, I had to venture into the cold several blocks to a sister property.

Room was nice a comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding and the pool area was nice. Will stay again.

Stayed here about 13 yrs ago and was not impressed at all. Many upgrades made for an excellent stay. No major complaints, great view, good all around choice!

Most things were fine except: Elevators were slow and occasonally out of service. Maid service was unacceptable.

We stayed on the top floor. Everything was clean. The bathroom door did not lock or even stay closed, and the room door also had a problem staying closed, so those are things they should fix. the balcony floor had some cigarette burns even though you're not suppose to smoke anywhere in/ around the hotel anyway. We went mid march so it was definitely cheap and a good value for the price. The only annoying thing is that the king bedrooms (not totally sure it was a kingsize bed though? seemed smaller than our king at home) are apparently the only ones with tiny balconies/ obstructed ocean views. In fact, walking along the beach we discovered that this is the only hotel on the whole beach that has FRONT room balconies that face IN, toward each other, the front of the hotel is U shape, for whatever reason. This is also a downside because at certain times of day, the building casts a shadow on it's other half, leaving half the balconies in the shade. It's just my pet peeve. One of the indoor hot tubs needs to be cleaned. I'm not trying to say our stay was bad, we didn't dwell on any of these things as we spent most of our time outside the room and enjoyed ourselves very much!

We love staying at the Patricia Grand. They are always accommodating and close to all the must see sights.

loved it for the most part. room service kept leaving too few towels (less than the standard and on more than one day) so had to call the front desk each morning, but towels were deliverd quickly after making the call.

Their was a lot of construction going on in the hotel. Our door did not have a proper seal around it and it sounded like their was a hurricane outside our door. The maids did not do a very good job of cleaning the floors. On the flip side the view was outstanding and the hotel was not far from the boardwalk and other attractions.

I was good. Nice place, nice people, helpful discounts. The only thing i would improve would be sheet,bed and pillow quality.

I was very disappointed by my stay. I stayed back in the summer and it was wonderful. This time we were in a room that was very small. The door wouldn't lock so there was a terrible cold draft in the room. We felt uncomfortable leaving our belongings. Doors slammed all night. The clock in the room had not been set. I work in a hotel in charlotte nc and know what goes on. I realize this was the off season but I expected more from the patricia grand.

chose this hotel because it is pet friendly but when our room or bed was left unmade for half the day, my husband laid down on the bed, mattress cover was on the bed when he got up he was covered in dog hair. I think the whole bed including mattress cover should be cleaned when people check out. I called the front desk twice about our room not being made up. Finally at 5:30pm a gentleman came up and put sheets on our bed. Other than that we had a wonderful stay.

I was very happy with the hotel, it was very comfortable and had a beautiful view of the ocean. My favourite part of the hotel would be the pools, they were very well kept and relaxing by the ocean. Overall, I would stay again in the future however I would like to be on a higher floor.

The room was a bit out dated, sliding door was old and balcony was on roof top drain, that being said the hotel was fantastic, personal was very freindly and you coulnt beat the price. I was very satisfied and would reccommend both hotels.com and the Patrica Grand

Liked the room and little ammenities throughout the property. The one bedrrom suite was very nice and mostly updated. My only complaint was the front desk staff. I had booked five rooms so I dealt with them frequently. Most were trying to be friendly just completely disorganized. Really showed a lack of leadership. Go ask for help from three people and you will receive three different answers. Like I said they are almost great.

My significant other and I loved the room. The king size bed was comfortable, the fridge and microwave were very nice. Also we noticed it was very clean, as if no one had used it. The only problem for me, because I am picky, was the blankets were a little scratchy. But that wouldn't hinder me from coming here again at all.

Had a great long weekend celebrating our kids birthday! Friendly staff.

Room was large and comfortable, Hotel registration staff was very friendly and professional. Down side: Room had not been vacuumed well and shower didn't have much pressure. Overall stay was fine, location was perfect and the view was great, we had two balconies and could see not only the ocean but what was happening on N. Ocean Blvd. We would stay again.

It was a nice resort and my fiancée and I had a great time. Will definitely stay here again!!

Excellent customer service all the way around.

Room was okay. Appliances were very outdated. Some were showing rust in several spots. Maid service was bad. Towels not left, bed not made, floor not vacuumed, trash not emptied. Something different everyday. Only one day out of five was maid service done correctly. Hotel needs to be updated. Staff was friendly, courteous. Overall can't say that I would either stay there again or recommend it to anyone else.

Clean room, but poor amenities. No 'working' ice machine, few (and scattered out) vending machines. Small indoor pool/lazy river. Expensive breakfast.

The woman who welcomed us was really nice, however, in the evening, the man at the reception was not very kind, I asked him if there was a sauna in the hotel and he answered me like he was pis***. We went to the swimming pool that was supposed to close at 11 and at 10.30 a man came and asked us what are we doing there and what is our room number, he was really pis***, then he left to check the room number and came back 5 min later and said "the swimming pool is closed" as it was written everywhere its closing at 11, it was only 10.35.. I didn't really understand as we were very kind to them... We were happy about the room for the price we paid, however I would not go back to this hotel because of the people who work there, there are so many other hotel who worth to be discovered and where people are probably much nicer
