The Kimberly Hotel - نيويورك

The hotel was perfect for a 6-year-old's first visit to NY with her mother and grandmother. The location was great -- easy walk to American Girl, FAO Schwartz, Dylan's Candy, Bloomingdale's and Central Park. Having a suite with kitchen for b'fast and snacks worked well for all of us. Staff was friendly and helpful. We'd love to return some time soon.

The lobby was being remodeled----but the staff was totally attentive. My room was a well appointed one room suite, It was excellent!!! I love the location. i look forward to staying at the Kimberly again. TGM from Minnesota

The hotel is conveniently located midtown near restaurants, shops and a short walk to 5th Ave and Central park. Although the rooms are supposed to be cleaned everyday, only towels are changed and the room is very haphazardly cleaned. So dirty cups, dead flowers and a finished cigar in an ashtray on the balcony was not cleaned, till a call was made each time. The furnishing is very dated and I yearned for some nice, clean lines, contemporary and uncluttered furnishings. I was promised a 1 bedroom suite with a kitchenette , instead I got a 1 bedroom suite with 2 full bathrooms!! I was 1 person staying in the room what do I need 2 full bathrooms for? I also stayed for 10 days without the promised kitchenette. It was most inconvenient. The wait for the elevators is long and the front desk is under renovation so it doesn't help with the crazy busy lobby. The roof top is very pretty with a bar and overlooking Manhattan. It is mostly enclosed so it is used throughout the year. A section is open air.

We had a room that had only 2 straight back chairs and was at the front. I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't have a small sofa or a couple of easy chairs. This was not comfortable for end-of-day or pre-dinner relaxation. They told me that the "guest rooms" didn't have easy chairs for comfortable sitting. Sorry, I thought all rooms in a hotel were guest rooms. Also, being a the front overlooking the street - we heard sirens from police cars all night. Poor glazing on the windows? Apparently there is a police station nearby. I did complain about comfort sitting and the sound and in the end they changed us to a luxury suite which was comfortable, quiet and extremely nice. Don't stay in this hotel in their basic room (guest room) if you need to put your feet up. Also, sink didn't drain and outlet for the coffee pot was not working. I put the pot on the floor to plug it in somewhere else. Bathroom tiny - the cord that lights the mirror had to be stretched on a diagonal across the lid of the toilet to plug in. Their "basic" is very basic. Pick a better room if you stay here. One big plus for us - we drove and a parking garage is directly across the street.

I did a lot of research before booking a hotel in New York City. This hotel had everything I was looking for: close to Times Square, clean rooms, friendly service, reasonable price and a safe neighborhood. I did not think it was possible to find these things, but I found it with The Kimberly Hotel. I highly recommend it. I will be definitely stay there again when I go back.

I have stayed in New York City five times within the last 4 Years and I will say The Kimberly was the nicest hotel we have stayed in. Our next trip to NYC I will be staying at The Kimberly.

The suite was very spacious and decorated nicely. Very comfortable for a family of 4. Staff was attentive. The diner next door was very convenient. I would definitely go back.

The rooms were comfortable and the location was convenient, but there was no free wi-fi, the bathroom was cramped and had no counterspace, the airconditioning couldn't keep up with the heat and the maid who brought us ice was rude and disgruntled. The doormen were excellent, the conceirge was helpful and the front desk was always willing to help. The upstairs rooftop bar was beautiful and lovely to enjoy after a long day.

Be sure to ask for room off street side! Terribly noisy all night. Sleeper sofa for extra person very uncomfortable and needs a foam topper. Otherwise a good hotel stay.

My family and i stayed at the Kimberly for a night and the girls loved the room. They are eight and hotels are trheir thing. The doormen are great and the concierge very knowledgeable. Great stay at a great hotel. When I can afford it again and I'm in NYC it is my choice.

upgraded our room - it was perfect - the room was so nice I sleep so well and our grand daughter was in heaven - great night, great stay, everything was perfect!

I loved staying here. I travel to NY all the time on business and was just referred to this Gem of a Hotel on this trip. Big spacious clean suites with a balcony. All very reasonably priced...by NY standards! Where else can you find THAT in NY?

The Kimerbly Hotel in New York City is right in the heart of mid town Manhattan on E. 50th x Lexington. It offers very large rooms and suites, with kitchenettes and decks. I travel to New York City on business twice a year, generally stay at least 4-5 days and always stay at the Kimberly when I bring along my family. We also enjoy the gratis health club priviledges. In the suites, the bedrooms are separated from the living room/kitchen and the unit is actually better then two separate hotel rooms -more like a one bedroom apartment. Our suite had three very large closets as well. The beds are very comfortable with feather pillows and good matresses and bedding. The hotel itself is very quiet, especially on the higher floors, and even in the rooms facing the street. The sofa bed in the living room was fairly uncomfortable, but there is more than enough space for a roll away in the living room and those are more comfortable. The one bathroom in the suite is small and could use remodeling, but there is lots of storage space in the bathroom and great water pressure. The Hotel, although very comfortable and clean, is a little tired. The electric outlet in the bathroom was temperamental, and the televisons were old and not that great. Some of the rooms have been refurbished, and they plan to refurbish all the rooms eventually. Our room was next in line to be upgraded. The service is also very good. Every special request we made, was instantly met. The roof top bar is also fun and interesting, although on some nights (Thursdays and weekends) it was filled with 20 somethings and very noisy.

The location of this hotel was perfect! Walking distance to Rockefeller plaza, central park, Times Square and the Chrysler building. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! We stayed in the deluxe suite and it was perfect! It had a kitchenette, separate living room area and the king size bedroom was very comfortable. They have a roof top bar as well but we didn't get to experience that because it was being use for a private event. We would definitely stay there again! Hopefully soon!

At first I wasn't too sure about staying in midtown but once we arrived we were glad we did. It is in a much quieter area, but still convenient to everything. There is a great little deli next door and plenty of pubs within a couple of blocks. But now for the truth about the stay. The room was incredibly spacious and clean. The elevators were down the first night but the hotel management more than made up in gesture. The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful. It is the first time in a long time I have stopped by the lobby after checking out to shake the staff's hand and say thank you for the hospitality. Upstairs bar is awesome but watch out for the prices... Strongly recommend this hotel.

The Kimberly Hotel is located in an area convenient for business and leisure. The rooms are well appointed. I travel frequently and the Kimberly offered one of the most comfortable hotel stays I've experienced in years.

We were only there one night but the staff treated us like long stays. Valet parking was a plus and very affordable. Very beautiful room with comfortable beds with lots of pillows and nice linens and lovely duvet cover. Left the cable to my digital camera behind. I called housekeeping the next day and they mailed it to me.

top of the line.... great value... beautiful views from the penthouse.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were amazing- They were friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped. The only complaint we had was the hide a bed needs replacement. Other than that we were very happy.

I have stayed at the Kimberly a few times now. This is the first time the hotel struck me as a little run-down. A handle from the shower had come off and was resting on the edge of the bath, and the toilet paper holder was broken. The toilet paper issue is trivial, but hey, how difficult can it be to keep that maintained properly? I didn't realize the shower handle would be an issue until I took a shower & had trouble getting the handle to work at all. Eventually succeeded, but was getting a little nervous, esp. as I had to get to work and this was a delay. I like the hotel - and like the spacious rooms/suites and it is generally clean. But I will keep an eye on the maintenance issue in the future. I told the staff about the issues on the way out. Hoping that the room condition is better next time.

We have stayed at the Kimberly a number of times. I continued to be amazed at how wonderful the whole hotel experience at the Kimberly is. Great service, rooms, restaurants, wonderful staff.

My family came away feeling like we found a diamond in the rough. The Kimberly was fantastic and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this hotel and will absolutely stay here again.

Great when traveling with a family- lots of closet space, comfy bed, two TV's, balcony. Nice staff. Two rooms and a kitchen.

The standard rooms at the Kimberly are huge by NYC stanards, but dated and worn. The living room furniture and carpet looks like it may not have been replaced for decades, and the room sure could use a fresh coat of paint. That being said, the bathroom seemed to be clean and the beds were comfortable. Room temperature could not be controlled.

I lived on the 6th floor, it was still felt very noisy.

The location is fabulous. We stayed in a suite, which is quite spacious. We requested an interior or quiet room and it was indeed extremely quiet. Very pleased with that aspect. Furnishings need to be updated; bed was hard, but tolerable. Bathroom was remodeled and nice. Folding closets are extremely outdated, but spacious. TV's are updated flat screens and large, very nice. Kitchen is very convenient. Could be an excellent hotel, but in need of updated furniture and light fixtures. Older hotel, so it is quiet. Overall, good place, but will opt for a more modern hotel next stay.

Great location in midtown. Near Rockefeller Center, and walking distance to Central Park and Times Square. Very comfortable room. Will definitely stay there again.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite, which was very spacious. Easy walking distance to shopping and Times Square. Very friendly staff and a neat rooftop bar. I would stay here again.

the room was a bit old and used, but this is true to a lot of NYC properties. Having said that, I do think it was a great value. Very very nice, cordial, helpful staff! Bed was extremely comfortable...slept like a baby. Would recommend.

The room that we got was worn out. I had known that many of the rooms have been refurbished, but that is not the one we got. I could not recommend this hotel unless I knew that the other person would get one of the "fixed up" rooms. I was envious of my sister's room on the front and refurbished. I was on the fourth floor back and felt like it was the basement. Her room was beautiful! I feel like they have tried to do a lot of things right, but the room was too warm even though the heat was off and it was cold outside. The lovely linens on the bed were filled with the down and fit for a coldness that was not there! Way too much bed covers! The sheet was almost enough! They need to have lighter inserts. The linens themselves were very, very nice. Hurry up and fix up ALL the rooms. I am also expecting free internet considering what it would cost them to provide it for us! It is time.

I hadn't realized the rooms were 1 bedroom suites! Apartments, really, with full kitchens. We had two rooms - one with a king-sized bed and the other with 2 doubles, and each room had a separate living room with a queen-sized sofa bed. The beds were extremely comfortable. Very quiet hotel...did not hear traffic or other guests. It was a nice neighborhood, but a little off the beaten track (midtown east). However, there is a subway stop one block away. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room rate was good. Overall, a pleasant stay!

Not bad for the price I paid. The front lobby is not that of a true 4 star hotel but my room was large by city standards and the overall decor was very nice. Only negative ws my room location which was a courtyard view of all the mechanicals. Always seem to get the low floor with crappy views when booking through h.com

This hotel was amazing. The outside of the building, ignoring the entrance way, doesn't look like anything special but this is misleading. The first receptionist we met seemed a bit grumpy, but the one working the next day was quite cheerful. The room was incredibly tidy, well furnished, and well lit. The abundance of windows let in a nice natural light during the day, and the bustle of the noisy streets below could barely be heard when it was time for bed. The bed was very comfortable and fresh feeling. Having a balcony was nice, but the lack of furniture out there, or suitable to bring out there was somewhat of a detractor. Its in easy walking distance to time square and plenty of great restaurants. My only regret is that we didn't get to try out the Upstairs restaurant on the roof. Perhaps next time!

The hotel staff was great, very courteous and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is a little older, but still well kept. The Upstairs lounge is a nice spot for a drink with beautiful views of the city. Considering the busy midtown location, the room was very quiet, and we had no trouble sleeping. I would stay there again, I think it was a great value. Nikki Midtown is right next door - great if you want to "see and be seen" at a "name" place in the city. But be advised, you may see "women of the night", during the day trying to get in. Not a reflection on the hotel, but still an opportunity to people watch and get a good laugh.

This was my second stay and I just love this place! THey have opened a penthouse bar and restaurant with a stunning view of the Chrysler Building and a nice wine by the glass selection. It was lovely sitting up there in a fierce rainstorm talking with very friendly people. My room was wonderful - very quiet with a large bed and robes. There was also some cooking equipment which I did not use but it was nice to see wine glasses, plates, etc. It was a perfect evening.
