We enjoyed this place immensely. The service was spectacular, the room enormous and the location excellent. I loved the creek views and the pool area and the breakfast buffet was heavenly.

Quality of service was great!!!

Thought the stay was awesome! The room and bathroom were alittle smaller than expected and alittle out dated but the service and location were incredible. Would definitely go back!

We had a great time at the Sonnelap. The service was impeccable. The breakfast was better than any we have every had! The location is perfect!! We highly recommend a stay with the Sonnelap!!

Fabulous hotel and spa. Great location for both winter or summer. Skis and boots are kept for you at the base of the mountain at a ski valet, making everything most convenient. Both restaurants in the hotel have excellent food. Will definitely stay at the Sonnenalp anytime in Vail.

The only negative I encountered was the pre arrival phone call I received by a lady from your Hotel. It came across too much as a forceful sales pitch for additional services rather than trying to help prepare more enjoyable arrival. Also we asked for two he'd foam pillows, attempted to bring them twice, finally found only one and this was bad quality too. Other than these, We really like your hotel nice relaxing atmosphere, and helpfully, happy employees.

Great hotel - everything v professional.

Fantastic hotel with impeccable service which starts before you arrive. If you want to feel like you are in Europe without the airfare this is the place. Super location in the heart of Vail. There may be other great hotels in Vail but we won't go elsewhere. Worth the extra price.

Everything was beautiful. Great location. The room was lovely. The staff was professional, warm and friendly. We would come here again in a heartbeat.

I was visiting my daughter in Denver and we decided at the last minute to spend a night in Vail. A work colleague of hers recommended Sonnenalp for it's central location in town. We were enchanted with the accomodations, the service and the off season value of the room. The little bit of pre season decorating taking place was off set by the fact that we had the beautiful spa area to ourselves. Sitting in the outdoor hot tub with snow falling on our heads was an amazing experience! I have been to Switzerland and I can honestly say that Sonnenalp has captured the European Alpine ambience perfectly!

Great in every way. The staff were very cordial and helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious. But the bathroom was terrific with heated floors and a tub as big as a hot tub. The location is one of the best in the area.

Absolutely fantastic! Will stay there again! The room was beautiful and roomy. The Spa was wonderful! Entertainment in the lounge was relaxing. The staff was extremely accomodating. All of the staff was wonderful!!!

This hotel was very clean and nice. We did find some of the staff upon arrival unfriendly. Great Breakfast, great location and Close to restaurants.Our problem was it was still quite warm and the hotel does not have air conditioning. Our room was facing west, above the road and across from a remodel project. I am confused why we were placed in a room under these circumstances when the hotel was not full, knowing we would need to open the windows to cool off. we would stay again but we would be more specific about our room placement.

The hotel is a very nice looking and spacious. However, the room was way too warm and when I spoke to the folks at the front desk the next morning they informed me of some quirk with the heating and cooling system. I had no idea there was such a quirk and someone should have told me at check in how that worked. If the room had not been so hot at night, I would have slept better and probably would have had nothing but great things to say about the hotel.

The only complaint we had was that the reading lights over both beds were falling off the wall and did not work. Everything else was top notch - impeccable service, great food at the in-hotel restaurants, wonderful area for walking and shopping in the off season, and evening entertainment in the lounge

What a great hotel, our favorite in Vail. Awesome in every respect.

We have stayed at the Sonnenalps several times for a good reason, The staff is wonderful, very accommodating, the breakfast is about as close as you get to a traditional european breakfast, Yummy, and they are happy to have the whole family, including our dog lilly. It is in walking distance to both Vail village and Lionshead. We love it and will be back soon.

It was a very relaxing stay. The hotel was so well rounded in what it offered. It was not just a room.......instead it was a nice experience.

This is a terrific hotel - everything about it is top notch; beautiful and quiet rooms, great restaurants, excellent service, great location. Breakfast brunch is worth the money and the restaurant where brunch is served is bright and lovely. Staff remembers your name - that is impressive!

I travel a lot and this property rates among the best.

First time in Vail and we are confident we stayed in the best place!

I had a fantastic stay at the Sonnenalp in Vail earlier this month! The hotel is gorgeous---I truly felt as if I was visiting Bavaria or the Swiss Alps. The room was outstanding, the cuisine was superb, the spa was fabulous, and the staff was phenominal---kudos to everyone at the Sonnenalp. I will definitely return to Vail just to stay at this extraordinary hotel again!

Wonderful-recommend this hotel highly and hope to return. Not thrilled with Hotels.com and may not use again.

This hotel is one of the finest hotels ever. The spa area pools and fireplace seating areas are top notch! Beautifully decorated in old Swiss elegance with great bedding and large bathroom. The entertainment in the King's lounge was very cool. Can't wait to go back soon!

The hotel was great and the staff was very friendly and very helpful.

The whole family enjoyed a lot the stay at Sonnenalp. Great concierge, breakfasts and spa. And we loved the marshmallow bbq near the outside pool! Only a shame they couldn't put us in communicating rooms, next to each other.

Our experience was outstanding. Thoughtful and caring service.

This hotel, staff and owners define the best of what all travelers dream of when staying at their vacation destination. We felt that we had just traveled to Europe and were awarded the best of hotels. The staff were most accommodating, courteous, The room was spectacular, spacious, and as well cared for. The spa was as good as it gets and we have been to most spas in europe, US and Mexico and South America. We will stay again and again
