I enjoyed. The concierge was helpful and on point.

The hotel staff was wonderful and very accomodating but the beds were very small and felt like a regular size bed, not a queen sized bed.

Overall, a wonderful experience. Was told at time reservation was made that hotel allowed pets. Upon checking in, discovered hotel allows only service pets - that was a big disappointment as we were prepared to have our pets with us. Also, all the rooms with king size beds faced the road, the nosier side of the hotel. Would recommend the hotel provide some rooms with king size beds on the river side of the hotel. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly, very helpful, and made the stay very pleasant.

Comfortable and quiet. The kitchenette was a nice bonus. The room was WAY too hot for comfort at night and the thermostat didn't seem to be adjustable. Very friendly staff.

We liked the room except for the beds, they could be updated....alittle on the worn out side...also please extend the hot tub and pool hours even if you have to close it at nine for children...for those of us who travel for work often don't get back to our rooms until after 7 or 8 and then finish up some work and it's already closed....otherwise staff was nice and a well kept hotel.

The physical hotel is very good. The pool was indoors & lovely. The laundry room was a necessity for us & was clean, neat and good machines. The "dock" behind the hotel was a big winner. This is a huge boardwalk all along the river, interconnecting with many other properties (not hotels). It is raised up & you can watch the 'combat fishing'! Our 3 & 4 yr. old grandsons were fascinated! Breakfast was good. We expected a more utilitarian hotel but found the rooms & amenities to be well worth the money. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Overall a good place to stay. Generally quiet & a number of restuarants within 5 min walk. The breakfast left a bit to be desired. Nothing but waffles, breads & cereals to chose from. But if you just need a quick bite each morning & don't mind the same thing over & over... it's OK. Don't get me wrong, I'll certainly stay at Aspen again, But I'll just make plans to eat out in the am.

Bathroom knob was loose and couldnt lock door Continental breakfast is really blah, what happened to ur good breakfast? Waffles are alwayd great

Definitely a wonderful stay and exceptional value. One low point though: breakfast - hardly anything on offer. And if you prefer something savory, nothing at all - even cream cheese was "strawberry flavored" (??)

The bathroom lighting is too dim. The coffee pot did not work in room. Other wise no complaints.

We booked early and got a tremendous deal; hotel was very clean, especially the rooms; all staff, from front desk to housekeeping to maintenance, were friendly and helpful all four days.

This hotel was reasonably nice and comfortable. What is great about it is that it's right on the Kenai River in Soldotna. So... kind of a like a hot dog tastes like a gourmet meal when eaten at a baseball game.... this hotel is fantastic because it's reasonably good while being located in a little fishing town in Alaska. It has some perks too, including free wi-fi, a pool/jacuzzi and a free continental breakfast.

HORRIBLE!! They have a fish cleaning set up on the back side of the hotel right outside of my room. Had people cleaning fish right outside of my room most of the night. At 1:30 the room above me was extremely loud finally called the front desk at 2:30am only to have nothing taken care of. At 5am people thought it would be ok to slam their door eveytime they left and came back to their room. Got about 4 total hours of sleep. This is the second HORRIBLE experience I have had at this hotel and will NOT stay there ever again. I would recommend driving a little further and stay in Kenai.

Nice place. Easy to get there and the river walkway ends (or begins) at the hotel. From the walkway are steps down to the river, presumably for fishing access. Room was clean and nice. Not much of a view from the river side, but a really nice view of the parking lot from the other side.

We had the best time here!! It was clean and the staff was so nice. We were able to check in early with no problems. Breakfast could have been a little more but it was free so, you know the saying, you get what you pay for!! :) We will be staying again!!! :)

We always stay here on our trips to Soldotna. Best place in town.

Found the hotel to be clean, and the staff very helpful. Needed a little first aid and the staff was very responsive. The room was comfortable. The bed was a bit soft and broken down but all else was good. Bathroom clean and quite large for a hotel of this type. Huge disappointment was that apparently kids sporting teams often use this hotel, and a couple different soccer groups were with us. The kids dominated the pool and hot tub so regular visitors could not use it. Also the pool closes early - 9pm we could not even go later after the kids should have been in bed. Call ahead to ask if there are large kid groups staying if you choose this hotel to use the pool. We asked if they could stay open later for adults only and were told to make the suggestion to their head office. Also the free breakfast is all carbs - bagels, waffles, oatmeal and sugar cereals. Some yogurt or boiled eggs would have been nice to balance out the carbs.

The one item I would have negative comments about would be the parking. Being right against the building and with poor snow and ice removal. Consider placing a sidewalk between the building abd the parking running the length of the front side (if there was one It was not visible).

If you are staying in Soldotna then this is the place to stay, our room was spacious, clean and incredibly comfortable. The staff was warm and inviting and the waffles for breakfast sealed the deal. Can't miss with this hotel.

Newly renovated rooms with plenty of space.

Nice little town ,friendly and helpful. If you have time do the River walk just behind the hotel and runs North to a Park . Very new and well done. Many places to eat in town not fancy but good. If I'm ever back in the area again I would stay there again .

Hotel room is clean, staff is friendly, booked a regular room however was upgraded to an extended stay suite free of charge, due to the regular rooms were all booked. The extended stay suite comes with a separate living area, which is a good size. It also comes with mini-kitchen and refrigerator. Hotel provides free breakfast, however you can find just the basics (juice, coffee, cereal, and waffles), do not expect a gourmet one. Convenient location, it is placed in the downtown Soldotna. Most of them are within 5 minutes drive. I have stayed at this hotel 3 times, and will continue to do so when I am in the area. Recommended.

Enjoyed the stay in the hotel and wish we had booked room for another night. The contential breakfast was plentiful and good. Had a great time, everyone was helpful and very courteous. We'll definitely reccommend and stay there again.

This is one of the better hotels on the Kenai Peninsula and is conveniently located on the close to all available amenities. Most hotels are small and locally owned and operatered.
