The friendly staff checked me in; they were very accommodating throughout my stay. Most of the parking is covered, which is nice. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. My only complaint would be the slight musty smell generated by the AC. The hotel is within walking distance of shopping, major grocery, and restaurants, the beach. The value was perfect. Overall, it was just what I needed for my quick getaway to Galveston.

It was a nice hotel right on seawall Blvd just accross is the ocean. Right next to a healthy supply of restaraunts especially Tortuga. The hotel was pretty clean and the staff were nice. The maintenance of the hotel needs a little attention but all around good hotel for the price.

Motel under renovation. Good location.

Great hotel right on th beach strip. Room was clean, pool looked amazing. I would definitely book there again when in the area!

found a few roaches in room. stayed there last year like the improvements l the location good and staff was helpful.

I enjoyed the hotel. we had a room off to the east side so it was out of the traffic flow.

The rooms are not kept up with, the elevators are scary, the room smelled of smoke and our carpet was a little damp.

Even though the hotel room was pretty small in size, it was perfect for a one night stay to get out of Houston. The hotel itself was very clean and in a great location on the seawall... surrounded by restaurants and a Kroger for convenience. It also had a heated pool which I loved. All in all... great stay, nice staff and clean place!

The lobby is the only reason I didn't give it higher marks. If not for the curved drive up to the entrance, the single door could be mistaken for a side entrance. Handles on the door were wrapped in black fabric tape. Front desk person was courteous and friendly, said they planned to renovate the lobby. Once I left the worn lobby, it was a different world! I walked down into a courtyard with plants swaying in the breeze as birds boldly flew by. Enjoyed a quick view of the seawall and rolling waves on the way to my room. That is when I thanked God for the beautiful start to a two-day visit! Light switch by the door didn't work and and the room was a little dim with just two table lamps until the housekeeping supervisor brought in a floor lamp. She wouldn't taka a tip, said it should have been there. The room was clean and inviting. Decor was standard, pillows were fluffy and a bounce on the bed passed muster! That night, I drove a ways down to where some of the photographers in town for FeatherFest were taking night shots of the Pleasure Pier. Next morn, up at 6:30am after a good night's rest and a quick walk across the street to the beach to watch the sunrise. Back for a decent continental breakfast. They kept the food supplied. I left pleasantly full. It is an affordable hotel that has relatively friendly employees, clean rooms, free breakfast and is a short skip to the beach. I would definitely do it again!

We had an awesome time and was very pleased with the hotel. The staff was great and they really cared about the appearance of the hotel. Some kids tagged the stairwell with black spray paint our first day there. The next morning it was gone. They actually had maintenance start painting the same evening. It's right across the street from the beach and we could hear the waves as soon as we stepped out of the room. The free breakfast was great, especially the self-made waffles. Knowing that weekday rates are significantly less than weekend rates makes me want to go back just because. There are also fewer people in the breakfast line during the week also. LOL

This is a nice older hotel. Everything was clean. Nice breakfast in the mornings with waffles, yogurt, cereal, fruit, etc. The rooms aren't well insulated for sound though. That is basically my only dissapointment hearing everything going on all around us. Oh and the a/c unit kept turning off.

Had a great stay. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. The next time I'm in Galveston, I'll be sure to stay at this hotel.

Best out of three hotels we booked in Houston area, even though it was the cheapest. Absolutely great place, clean, convenient, one of the best continental breakfast I have seen

This hotel was better than we would normally stay at, and it was worth it. Nice rooms, great breakfast selection, great location, nice pool area....would stay there again.

The night started out well but I was waked up by some drunk individuals next door at 3:00 am and then continued until I left for the morning at 6:15am. Hotel seemed complacent.

We had the best time at this hotel was clean, friendly, close to beach and all other fun things to do.. I will stay at this hotel on my next visit.

Overnight stay in Galveston. Hotel was easy to find and right on the seawall. Just minutes from Pleasure Pier and other great restaraunts and bars. The check in/out was fast and easy. The only problem I had was there was only one very small trash can in the room and I could not get the blow dryer to work. Overall very pleased with my stay.

we were very pleased with our stay. the lobby was clean and fresh smelling, the bathrooms were clean. our room was very clean and pleasant. we were happy with the whole experience even though we only stayed over night. the receptionist at check in was very pleasant and friendly. the only thing that we noticed was that the bed could have been a little more comfortable but it was still decent. very good hotel!

I liked the hotel we stayes for 1 week affordable and cheap...the rooms are the usual average hotel room nothing fancy....they give u breakfast every morning the basics....there is a front desk clerk with a messed up weave that has a horrible attitude....the other staff workers we great. ...everytime maintenance was called they would always come....the pool was supposedly heated but was messed up for two days ...which sucked....we had to use the next door neighbors pool and gym....didnt like that....

We're used to staying at Inn at the Waterpark, so I was expecting this hotel to be the same as far as cleanliness, but it was a little outdated and not near as well-kept. The rooms were very small, the carpet was old and one of the main reasons I wanted this hotel was because they said they had a fitness room. They don't. Guests can use the next door hotel's fitness room and it didn't even open till 9am!! I like to wake up early and workout while my girls are sleeping! The breakfast was good, my girls and I liked it a lot. The convienence of it being on the Seawall was nice, and for the price we paid, it was decent. I don't think we'll stay here again, though.

This hotel is in a great location on the seawall, right next to everything. Nice clean hotel, nice pool, nice staff. Very economical! I would recommend this hotel.

Of course the price was a little higher because we went during Spring Break. But the hotel has recently been updated and has a new owner. The rooms were very clean, many of towels, the outdoor pool is heated which is great with the cool spring breeze. The breakfast is the basic cereal, sweet rolls, yogurt but they do have the machines to make your own fresh waffles. It is convenient to a big Kroger, Walmart, Golden Chorral and several eating places We enjoyed our stay - and very convenient covered parking.

This was a quick little trip for my wife and I's anniversary. We enjoyed the hotel. Was nothing fancy but it was clean and convenient. Nice rooms, and location. We would stay again. Would of liked to have a balcony, but the covered parking in the rear of hotel was very nice!!

I had a great stay. The room was nice, clean and had plenty of space. Overall, I would stay at the hotel again and/or recommend to a friend.

The location was wonderful the Hotel was fine the staff very friendly the breakfast was the usual coffee and tea were good. We would stay again if we are in the area.

I booked my hotel 11.5 months in advance for this specific weekend. When I tried to call to find out if I could check in early, I found out the hotel was no longer the Best Western I booked with. I received no notification about this change. The other issue I had was on my 2nd day there, the front desk asked if I was staying another night. My reservation was booked and paid for two nights and confirmed when I checked in on Friday afternoon. I went to the front desk just in time to have another person come in asking if they had any rooms available. They said they did, but the price was double what I had paid. I feel like the reason they were trying to see if I was staying was to see if they could book my room to another person at a much higher rate. Overall the hotel wasn't bad, but I think things could have been handled better for me to have a better experience with them

Will definitely be staying again when we come back.

We stay here often and love it! On our last stay we did have a couple of issues. We were locked out twice and had to have them redo the card keys! It was pouring rain one of those days which sucked. We had a broken chair which was quickly replaced. The wi-fi was out so they brought us a cable which fixed the problem. They were working on both elevators during our stay (we were on the top floor). Never had issues previously so it won't deter us from booking again.

location is great for not having a vehicle. Taxi service is fair,plenty to do in Galv eston.However, the hotel is in a change of hands. Need trained desk people who relate to clients rather than be concerned about their nails and smartphones and social activities. I Question the breakafast's safety, because the millk and yogurt were never on ice during the three hour breafast times! I wonder if the cappachino machino and wafffe machine got cleaned regularly or at all!!!!!!! First room I went into had a dirty stool in bathrooom. Moved to another room....found long black hairs stuck on the tub! EW!!!!!

Our stay was good for what we needed. Afew things need to be addressed by the owner and hotel staff. Example no TPin room and no staff member to bring the TP to the room. Had to go get it our self at the desk.
