Overall very well priced hotel with good breakfast.

Hotel in ideal location for catching trains to near by resorts or other cities , the staff were quite friendly , the hotel room was clean and bed very comfortable , breakfast is what you would expect for a buffet breakfast no complaints whats so ever we would stay in this hotel again

We were very and completely satisfied with our stay at the Hotel Continental Genoa. Upon arriving by train, we exited the train station and looking diagonally, we saw the hotel!! How convenient is that! We cross three or four intersections, all with ramps (great while pulling luggage) and we are in front of our hotel within four minutes. Three steps up, and you are in the lobby. Front desk, small table with menu from restaurant, fabric chairs, sofa, coffee table and newspapers. Turned out to be a nice quiet area to sit and read while waiting for your turn at the computer with internet. Charge of 2 Euro for 15 minutes. (Note to hotel: you could serve your guests much more by foregoing the charge. Nothing is more aggravating than to run out of time when trying to print out your boarding passes. Besides, does that stream of income make or break your hotel budget?!!) We found the front desk staff to be very pleasant, informed, and spoke English very well. Check in was efficient and in no time, we were on our way to our room. Up the elevator. Ah, the elevator. Some on previous reviews have negatively commented on the elevator. Yes it is from times past, yes you need to make sure to close the outer and inner doors otherwise it won’t move for you or someone else on another floor, and yes it seems past it’s time in a modern world. But yes, it also has a beautiful ornate scrolling metal cage, and yes it has wood walls and a beautiful ceiling, and yes, if you enjoy the ride and the beauty of things from the past-as a bonus, it puts a smile on your face and gives you fond memories of your stay. At no extra charge!! The room was well furnished. A key card to enter and we were surprised to see a very large room by European standards. In fact, this has to be considered a large room by many other standards. King size bed, firm but yet comfortably soft, four fluffy pillows, flat screen t.v. that had no English channels, writing desk and chair, love seat, wardrobe with safe, bench,

I spent 20 wonderful nights at the Continental. I loved the the extreme courtesy of the staff, the wonderful rooms, the daily change of bed sheets, the jacuzzi in the bath, the quality amenities, the complimentary mineral water, the moderately priced room service and over all the magic atmosphere of this lovely hotel. One of th most satisfactory hotels over the years!

The hotel has a great location, good and tiddy rooms and a nice breakfast buffet. We stayed for 2 nights during our stay in Genoa. Our little baby son got sick and the staff helped us in any way possible. The hotel has a great location.

charming hotel in a central location, especially if you need to take the train to Milan as it is right near the station. Hotel staff are very friendly and speak great English. Have already booked it again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Continental. The hotel location is great. We stayed here after a cruise. It is a 10 minute walk from the cruise terminal. It is also right by the Principe train station, also convenient because the Volabus to the airport stops goes from there. The staff was very kind and the breakfast buffet which was included in our rate was excellent. The room was very nicely furnished. It seems to have been recently renovated, but is still a classic style. The bathroom amenities were nice and the perks such as slippers in the room were a nice surprise. The Sky TV service was also nice... with channels in many languages.

Hotel was generally okay, however, if you venture to go our for dinner in the area be aware of the neighborhood. While walking from the restaurant recommended by the hotel we saw rats on the sidewalk a block from the hotel. During the day it is a busy street but at night not very safe.

The hotel is a wonderful old building, full of marble floors and columns. It is kept very clean and the staff are polite and helpful. The breakfast is buffet style, will suit all tastes and the food was lovely. Other meals are available from the connected adjacent hotel, but we didn't try them, so can't comment. The hotel is highly recommended.

When I arrived, there were people on line in front of me who had been waiting for hours for their room to "be ready". The receptionist was being very rude to them. When my wife and I approached the desk, she told us that our room was not ready. I pointed out that it was past the stated check-in time and that I had paid for the room in advance. She told me I would have to "take it up with the management." When I then requested to speak with her manager, she looked back at her computer screen and announced with "surprise" that my room was in fact ready. This kind of manipulative arrogant behavior by hotel employees is really destructive. It was unfortunate to have staff like this at what was really a nice hotel. Our room and the entire hotel was really ellegant. The breakfast was also first rate.

It was close to train station. I wouldnt walk around the neighborhood as a single person I took a cab but it was great that it's sister hotel which was 5 star was next door with a spa which was great and great resurant and things that you could use so we just went there and used the facilities and then only paid the lower price the room was clean and comfortable for the one night that we were staying over to fly home but wouldnt stay there if I was staying more than one night.

A very nicely furnished and appointed room awaits you at this classic hotel. Perfectly located, within view of the train station entrance and in a nice part of old Genoa. Our room included complementary water, plush robes, slippers and high thread-count sheets covering a comfortable bed. The ultra-lux Savoia Hotel is adjoining the Continental providing interior access to their restaurant and lounge. The available breakfast buffet is excellent with a vast variety warm and cold items in a comfortable dining room. To top it off, the helpful front desk staff recommended an excellent local restaurant for our dinner.

Perfectly located right next to Genova Piazza Principe Station, I found this to be the best value for the price of eight hotels I booked on a recent trip to Europe. Staff were very helpful. Delicious complementary breakfast included hot items like eggs. The room very comfortable, quiet, and clean. Bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. The hotel is walking distance from Porto Antico (about 15 min). Metro access is also convenient. The only flaw I would note is that there appeared to be only a single free electric outlet in the room.

Hotel Continental was the perfect hotel. The hotel location was across the street from the train station Genoa Principe. While traveling in Europe transportation to and from train and airports was extremely difficult and expensive, the location of this hotel was perfect, we simply walked across the street. Hotel Continental's pictures on the website were very accurate, what you see is what you get. Towels were fluffy and towel warmer was a nice touch. Beds were comfortable, firm, and plenty of pillows. Hotel personel was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast is a must, the best we had in Italy. This hotel room was very spacious and extremely clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel. (Dont forget to put you hotel card key in the wall slot for lights.)

From the moment we arrived, we were made very much at home. I'm used to thicker pillows that Europeans, so I asked for an additional one to be sent up, which came up within minutes. Any issues we had were very quickly taken care of, and we were very comfortable in our room. And the breakfast was better than we'd anticipated. The only difference between it and the one at the Savoya next door (which was a much more expensive hotel) was eggs made to order ... hardly worth $55 more a night! In fact, I think they share the same kitchen! We'd highly recommend this hotel.

the hotel is right outside the train station and was a great location for my one night stop in the city. its very close to the old city as well (walking distance). overall the hotel was fit for my needs, but the beds were not that comfortable and the sheets were old/dingy.

The Hotel Continental Genoa, a stones throw from the Central station, (a must for train travellers), bus terminal, Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Ducale, University, Port and Historical Centre. Our stay in Genoa was only 4 days but we would love to have stayed longer. It was one of the high lights of my 4 week Italian Journey and I would go back again and again. Staff at both the Hotel Continental and Gran Savoia were very courteous and helpful. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel, with tasteful decor, paarticularly liked the glass lift as a feature. We had a delicious breakfast and thought the position perfect for the airport, and all points of interest in Genoa. All the staff were extremely helpful and kind. Could notrecomend more highly. Thank you f or a wonderful stay.

Once the room was changed the new one was huge and clean and well apointed. The location is very good and much closer to everything than expected. Although it rained all the time it was still worth the trip. Breakfast ( which was included in the price) was superb, absolutley everything you could imagine and then more (candied fruits! no less) The staff were charming, helpful and friendly.

Hotel in guter Lage. Die Fotos versprechen weit mehr als sie halten. Sehr laut. Gutes Frühstück Guter und freundlicher Service. Trotzdem, das Hotel verdient keine 4 Sterne.

Отель расположен очень удобно, рядом с вокзалом. Но при этом отнюдь не является "привокзальным". Полностью соответствует 4-м звёздам. Приветливый и внимательный персонал. Центр города в шаговой доступности. Удобен и для тех, кто приехал на отдых только в Геную и для тех, кто собирается продолжить путешествие по Италии.

Fint hotel i en spændende by. Morgenmaden ku være bedre (med danske øjne) - men omvendt var den værre hverken eller bedre end andre tilsvarende steder i udlandet...Den friske frugt var til gengæld et plus.

10/14深夜にチェックインしまいｓたが、プリンチペ駅の直ぐそばで場所も分かりやすく、派手ではありませんですが明るく清潔なホテルでした。 片言の日本語でも問題なく利用できましたし、朝食も美味しくとても充実しており、価格相当かそれ以上のＣＰが得られました。 チェックイン時にダブルブッキングしていた様子でしたが、そんなそぶりも見せずアップグレードで対応していただき大いに満足できました。 チェックアウト当日の荷物一時預けも無料ですし、メトロの駅も近く、市内繁華街のフェッラーリ駅にも数駅（３つ位？）の近さですので大変便利です！

Взял номер на семью из трех человек. В целом разачорован. Номер дали с видом во внутрь совершенно небольшой. Отель старались сделать лучше, но внутренние помещения, малюсенькое лоббио и старый лифт создают впечатление 3х звездочного отеля. Цена и качество не соответствуют категории этого отеля. Может быть это произошло из-за проходящего в те дни там ботшоу, но за эти же деньги в Риме на следующий день я получил номер в 3 раза больше в пятизвездочном отеле в окружении других отелей этой же категории:(

Kiva hotelli, mukavat huoneet ja sängyt, hyvä aamupala, ja aivan mahtava sijainti. Juna-aseman vieressä, mukavien kahviloiden ja ravintoloiden vieressä. Ainoa pieni miinus olivat hiukan tylyt reseptionisti ja aamupalatyttö sekä pölyinen huoneen lattia.

En face de la gare, dans une rue menant directement au centre, au port, au vieux Gênes. L'hôtel a du charme, et notre chambre fut très confortable. Buffet de petit-déjeuner à ne manquer sous aucun prétexte ! Enfin et surtout, le personnel est attentif, disponible, souriant... un exemple à suivre pour d'autres hôtels ! Hôtel que je recommande à tous.

Nice hotel with very nice staff. The hotel lies near all attractions and has extremely good connections to taxis, buss station and airport coach. The breakfast was very good. I definitely recommend it! :)

Pasamos solo un dia en el hotel pero todo estaba muy bien para un hotel de su categoria, bien ubicado frente a la puerta de la estancion Principe con una plaza de por medio. calles alrededor con todo lo necesario, cerca del puerto antiguo. La habitacion impecable, el desayuno no lo probamos porque saliamos muy temprano sin embargo lo vimos servido y estaba correcto. Comparte el Gym y un restaurant con el hotel Gran Savoia que esta justo al lado, la cama confortable asi como todos los accesorios del cuarto incluyendo bata de baño. La atencion muy amable y el internet wifi disponible.

Le séjour s'est très bien passé. L'hôtel n'est pas dans le centre historique mais suffisamment proche à pied. Les chambres sont grandes et très confortables ainsi que la salle de bain. Notre chambre avait même un petit balcon. Un seul bémol : la télévision qui n'a que 2 chaines françaises France24 et TV5.

Overall the hotel is not good. But regardless of the number of stars, I think that a clean room is the basic service for any hotel to offer. When we arrived, there was hair in the pillows and the toilet was dirty.

Das Hotel Continental in Genova liegt zentral, ist jedoch dadurch schwierig mit dem Auto zu erreichen.

Hôtel assez mal indiqué quand on arrive en voiture (on peut suivre les panneaux Grand Hôtel Savoye, ils sont collés). Très bon accueil, chambre spacieuse mais assez mal isolée sur l'extérieur : on profite un peu du bruit de la rue qui passe devant. Dommage aussi, la seule chaîne française (TV5) ne fonctionnait pas... Parking privé très pratique à 2 minutes à pied. Le petit déjeuné vaut vraiment le coup : tout simplement royal ! Hôtel bien situé, près des musées et de la vieille ville.

cet hotel a du charme et est très bien situé, le service est discret et le petit déjeuner très varié et fourni. absolument rien à dire sur ce lieu qui ne fait qu'augmenter l'attrait d'une ville magnifique.

Veldig greit hotell. Tøff , gammeldags heis. Eget parkeringshus rett i nærheten var svært kjekt og grunnen til at vi bestilte hotellet. Hyggelig og serviceinnstilt betjening.
