Clarion Hotel Monterey - مونتيري

The photos of the rooms are very deceiving.....the room we had was very cramped for two people to walk around the bed.The only surface near the sink was the counter it was mounted in which was so small yet they set an ice bucket on a tray on it and it overhung the sink. Speaking of sinks....outside our door was a walkway of "stepping stones" made of round pieces that we recognized as being the piece cut from the counters to insert the sinks in each room. OMG... Talk about classy! LOL. As far as false advertising...the room description included fax machines and a jet tub...no fax and the tub was a normal tub...no jets and small in size.

Indoor heated pool & free breakfast big plus.

I read the reviews online and still booked this hotel. If you have kids this is a great hotel because of the indoor pool. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to lay your head after a busy day in Monterey, look elsewhere. The walls are thin, you can hear your neighbors and when a toliet gets flushed in any room connected to yours, you can hear it. The continental breakfast was oatmeal, waffles and cereal. Nothing great, but it was nice to start the day with a little something. It won't fill you up though. The staff was nice for the most part. I did have an incident that required me to go to the front desk to ask for additional towels, but I never got them. All in all, I'd have to say that this is an ok hotel. Nothing worth writing home about though.

Do not let this hotel book you into the "Cottage Suite" with the fireplace. Every noise & footstep from the room above is amplified into your room below. Twice people were arguing throughout he night in the room above & no one got any sleep. The breakfast is OK but it starts too late - 7:30 am

I was very impressed with this hotel! It was easy to find, very comfortable and cozy. The shower head actually worked unlike most hotels! The heated pool looked great but unfortunately we didn't have time to use it. All around it was one of the best "budget" hotels I've stayed in in a long time!

The staff works hard to keep the place clean, but it's an older property. The heater is loud, the room smells damp, and the place is small. A fair hotel, but I won't be back.

The chair, carpet and bedspreads in our room were old and needed cleaning. The ash trays outside the rooms were never emptied during our stay (we don't smoke) so the kids had to look at tons of cigarette butts every day. The hot tub (a big reason for coming) needed cleaning and the breakfast was mediocre. It was convenient to Cannery Row and the Dennis the Menace Park. However, I wouldn't stay there again.

This hotel is quaint, with its flowers everywhere, and comfortable. Rooms are clean and have fridges and nice amenities. Staff is very friendly and they have a computer in the lobby now for guests. The indoor pool and hot tub are the main attraction for a family with small children and they were both very clean. It's a short drive through town to get to Cannery Row and, at the end of a busy day at the ocean, the short drive back to this place, with its pool, hot tub and quiet, is just what we need.

Upon arrival our room was ready and didn't have any problems checking in. The lady that was helping ne check in was very nice and answered all my questions about the hotel as well as being informative of local restaurants and where everything is located. The room was decent and clean. Didn't go swimming in the swimming pool so I can't write a review about that. The breakfast wasn't all that great. Overall for the price of the hotel it is decent and I would recommend this place if you are on a tight budget.

There is not elevator to go to the second floor..which meant dragging your luggage up two flights of stairs....very old and outdated!

The Clarion was okay for the price... we just wanted an affordable room so we could spend more $$ on sights... my room was smelly... old...musty... the pool was cool... but the front desk shoud have told their customers that the breakfast was at the next hotel over... not even a sign on the door....

The indoor heated pool made it worth the stay with 3 kids. Overall the value for the money was good, it was nice that our room had some separation, overall for a family on a budget it was a good value. Breakfast was a litte cheaper than other places but overall a good stay with kids and we would return again.

Hotel has downe comforters and pillows which is great if you are not allergic. Hotel needs to clearly specify that there is downe instead of non allergic materials in room. Possibly an option should be offered.

The Clarion Monterey was a good value. Central location, clean and comfortable rooms and a pool and spa. The included breakfast was quite a surprise, as it was far from a limited cotinental menu. A very good value for the money!

I found the Clarion Hotel in Monterey to be comfortable, quiet and affordable for my business trip. It is nice a 15 minute walk to the convention center. The room was clean and the twin room, queen beds is a nice feature when traveling with the kids. The pool is heated which is good on a cool Monterey night. The overall maintenance on the hotel is good. Some tidying up and attention to details is in order. The biggest complaint that I have is that they still use old TVs. Clarion should invest in flat panels and HDTV for their guest rooms.

We recently booked two first floor rooms with 2 queen beds in each. Perfect for our group of 5. Each bed had its privacy, tv, and access to the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the choice of pillows and the added plus of bathrobes. The bathrooms were roomy and updated. Lots of towels! The complimentary breakfast was a great start to a day of whale watching... cereals, juices, danishes, waffles and biscuits and gravy. There was a nice indoor pool but we didn't have the chance to use it. All in all, we would heartily recommend this Clarion. Thanks for a great one night stay!

Very pleasant atmosphere, quiet, a little out of the way bur not really. Only 3 minutes to Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row. Room is clean, comfortable, love the fridge and microwave. Pool area is excellent with warm pool and hot tub. Did not take advantage of free breakfast, but looked nice and lots of people took advantage. Front desk person was extremely pleasant. Nothing but pluses for a young family with energetic kids.

Our room was 112, two queen bed room on the 1st floor. Quite roomy and very clean, and equipped with a microwave and a refrigerator (relatively quiet) although we didn't use them. There were two types of pillows to choose which was nice. Super-clean bathroom was impressive. TV in the room and a vending machine in the common area were broken, but the receptionist responded to our complaints right away. The only problem was the footsteps from the upstairs and toilet flushing from the surrounding rooms. They were very loud, so we had trouble falling asleep. I liked the room itself, but because of the noise I wouldn't recommend particularly rooms on the 1st floor.

We stayed one night and were very satisfied! The pool was very great along with the hot tub. The room was nice, clean, and the area was very convenient near the wharf and aquarium. Our only complaint was the ice machine being out and had to go to the hotel next door, but that is something easily fixed.

The beds were super comfy, the room was clean and didn't gross me out at all. The wireless services was bad, but I haven't found too many hotels where this isn't an issue. The wired internet worked like a champ. The shower had good water pressure, and the firdge cooled off in not time at all. There's also a very nice park across the street for stretching your legs after your drive. I would totally stay here again.

we stayed here for the indoor pool. our 2 yr. old loves pools and in monterey an outdoor pool can be chilly. room was clean and very quiet. hot water was almost instant and constant. staff was very nice.(allowed us to stay a little after check out so we didnt have to wake up our daughter. breakfast was servicable, nothing fancy. but it wasnt advertised as fancy. so that too was above expectations. the only negative thing we had was the carpets could have been cleaner. other than that no problems. we will be staying here again.

this hotel served its purpose. we had been driving all day and were exhausted. our hotel room was comfortable. we enjoyed the doorbell dining. the hotel wasn't anything spectacular, but it was nice enough.

The King Suites are very comfortable and roomy. Great deal for the price.

The room smelled old and of mold. Even when I left, my clothes smelled of mold. The office personnel was nice. The location was not bad. The breakfast was good too.

Excellent find. Great location near shopping centre and a 15 minute walk to the sea front. Wireless provided but connection was a bit variable in the room.

Comfort and cleanliness of our room was excellent. Very close to the sightseeing that we came to do. Marked them down on maintenance because plug to bathtub did not work though shower was excellent.

I stayed one night in this motel. It was plenty clean, the staff was friendly (though i didn't ask for anything), and in general was a good experience. Not crazy about the ultra-firm bed but it was fine. It's location is on the other side of the lake to Monterey's main attractions but its really not that far nor is it is worth paying more to be on that side.

We liked the breakfast, pool, and location. Good hotel for the price.

This was a very comfortable motel. We didn't hear our neighbors or outside noise. It was conviently located by a nice shopping center and in the middle of Monterey. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Small rooms and very noisy. The continental breakfast area was a joke - too small of an area for all guests and no hot food available. The hot tub had a brown tinge in the water (gross).

hotel close to shopping, downtown, fisherman's wharf,water ...good location

been here twice already and this place never let us down, clean rooms, affordable price and an indoor heated pool and a jacuzzi. Conveniently located and better breakfast compared to other hotels of the same standard.. will definitely come back!

An old-style California hotel-rooms open onto outside hallway/balcony. No elevator I saw, but it may be there. Outside walk to breakfast. Small room with tiny closet. Extremely close to aquarium and Pebble Beach/17 mile Drive.

The room was small and it was clean. There was a small refrig. and micro wave in our room. The bed was very comfy.There was an indoor heated pool and hot tub. There was very pretty flowers out side the rooms and it was quiet. We would stay there again.

Better than expected! We had more than 2 adults in one of the rooms, and we were elated to see that the room was actually a suite, with separate doors and TVs. Awesome! We stayed there to see our daughter run her first half-marathon, and would definitely stay there again for next year's Big Sur Half Marathon. Close to the whart (and start and finish lines), close to shops & restaurants.

great price, friendly staff and very conveniently located; clean and comfortable rooms; did have problems with accessing wireless internet and never was resolved (not sure they even tried to resolve it - just smiled and apologized.
