H10 Villa de la Reina - مدريد

The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the location just what we needed. The room had windows facing the back and a wall - it kept the room quiet but it didn't provide much daylight (the only read drawback we found)

REQUESTED EARLY CHECK-IN AS EARLY MORNING FLIGHT BUT ROOM WAS NOT READY WHEN WE ARRIVED- DISAPPOINTING. ALSO TV IN OUR ROOM WAS NOT WORKING WHEN WE GOT IT.REPORTED IT PROMPTLY BUT DID NOT GET SORTED FOR ANOTHER 24 HOURS- NOT GOOD ENOUGH.GOOD CENTRAL LOCATION AND GOOD CHOICE OF BREAKFAST.

staff are very friendly,, hotel is in an excellent location,bar is very comfortable with food and drinks not overpriced .however it closes at 12 midnight sharp! the standard double rooms are an ok size,bed not too comfortable(on wheels and moves a lot!)if you like tv theres only a couple of english language channels, mainly news.In general we enjoyed our stay here.

First hotel I stayed at in Spain. It's right on Gran Via and close to center of Madrid. Friendly staff, clean room with a balcony, comfortable bed, and amazing breakfast buffet!

The hotel is in the centre yet the room wa quiet with no disturbances. The hotel staff were friendly. Room cleaning was good. Breakfast was varied and generous in variety. Great coffee from the nespresso (either decaf intenso or ristretto). We would definitely return. Easy walking to any sites and next to Gran Via Metro with easy links

Excellent location on Gran Via, a short walk from the Prado, Retiro, Puerta del Sol and Chueca. Comfortable rooms, perhaps a little on the small side for a four star hotel, but by no means cramped. Very pleasant and helpful reception staff. Excellent, good quality breakfast.

The room was very small, which was ok we didn't spend much time there. I had asked specifically for a joined bed, rather than two single beds pushed together. We got that, but it was a pretty tiny bed, so in hindsight I would rather have two single beds. Also, the bed was on rolls, which was a bit annoying as it wouldn't stay put. The location of the hotel was great! Hotel staff were friendly and service-oriented. Cost-benefit of breakfast was excellent. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Close to all must-see sights. The only problem of the hotel is that Wifi in the room is very very slow .

We had a great room with which was overlooking Gran Via. From other reviews I had expected the room to be somewhat noisy but the room was amazingly quiet for being on such a busy street. Maybe if we were going to bed early it would have been different, but this is Madrid and no one goest to bed early. Even when we slept in, there wasn't enough noise to wake us. The only negative was the bed which was two doubles pushed together. It definitely beat two twins pushed together but still not quite a real king size mattress.

Hotel in an excellent location, walk to all main sight. Madrid has much to offer, try to walk a few back street and get out of the tourist strip for nice eateries.

Overall good hotel but bed reserved was for queen size bed and paid extra on Hotels.com for this choice. They don't have queen size bed, only double or 2 double beds side by side. Also the room was very cramped and noisy at night from outside noises. Parking is also no so obvious to find with the city traffic, one-ways and some full parking lots.

Room was nice and beds comfy. Typical small European sized room for two people. Location was excellent and easy walk to great attractions. Only weird thing is the courtyard view is actually a very small opening to roof (think of an elevator shaft full of windows). While we had a window you can't see outside or the sun.

This hotel is in a terrific location- walking distance to El Prado and all major sites. It is a short taxi ride from the Atocha Train Station as well. Plaza Mayor is within walking distance for great dining and people watching. My only negative comment is the staff were not very friendly.

The hotel is very euro when it comes to the size of rooms. I highly recommend that you request a room facing Gran Via as it is much more quiet than the alley that has bars that stay open till 4am. room was small but very clean and the location was priceless.

Great hotel, very comfortable beds, rooms are very nice, new wooden flooring, free breakfast in the mornings, free internet in the rooms. Worth every penny spent. Id stay here againn for sure...

The hotel was in a great location, on Grand Via with a short walk to the main areas of the city including plenty of restaurants., bars and tapas bars. Shopping was also nearby. Very close to the Grand Via metro station which made the journey from the airport really easy and much cheaper than a taxi. Breakfast was included and this was a great bonus - nicely set out breakfast room, LOTS of choice including hot breakfast items, dishes were replenished regularly and well presented. The bathroom was generous in size. The bedroom was also a good size - the only disadvantage being on an internal closed courtyard so there was no natural light but there was air con or the windows could be opened for fresh air so it wasn't stuffy or hot despite being 25c outside! Overall a great location to be near the sights on a short break.

Our room did not have a functioning air condiotion. We did complain and was told that I should be fixed, and went out. Coming back nothing was done. We complained twice nmore, and was told that this should be fixed. No one came to see it, and after the fourth and serious complaing one from the reception came - 4 h too late. He recognizded that the system could not be fixed, and upgraded our room and sent a bottle of champage to the inconvienieces. The rest of out stay was perfect. But a 4 star hotel should have sent up someone imediately. Still I will recomed the hotel

The hotel was a very modern, yet comfortable oasis in the center of Madrid, and within walking distance of the Plaza Mayor, the Museo Prado and Sofia Reina, and other great sights, plazas and restaurants. Very clean and the staff was very responsive.

Stunning lobby, friendly staff, and very nice, if a smallish rooms.

The hotel is perfectly located in la gran via. The service is wonderful. The only problem we had was a misunderstanding about the breakfast hours so we missed breakfast the first day. But overall the hotel is clean, modern, pretty, and the staff is very nice.

The location of this hotel is great since it's near Sol. It's walking distance to everything. However, the room was small, with the bed filling up 80% of the space. On the positive side, the room was clean.

The H10 Villa de la Reina is a true, quality 4 star hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. Although the room was not huge, it was a good enough size and a real double bed (rather than 2 singles pushed together). I was stunned at how cheap the mini bar was! We didn't eat in the hotel, but friends ordered very reasonably priced Cava & it always came with a tray of free nibbles and sandwiches - so they didn't have to order food either! The location couldn't have been better with Chueca on the one side, the Gran Via in front and right on top of the Gran Via Metro. Madrid is a buzzing city & H10 Villa de la Reina is perfectly appointed to ensure you see it all. We'd definitely stay there again.

We had a super weekend, lovely hotel, weather and city. A short metro ride to the Bullring on Sunday morning for a guided tour, and back again for a Bullfight in the evening is highly recommended! Madrid is a clean city, all the sights worth a look (disappointed the churches were not open for visits). However the cathedral and crypt were enjoyed. The Metro is fantastic well organised, frequent and clean. Beware of a 3 euro surcharge at the airport on the metro ticket.

Stayed in this hotel for one night whilst we were in Madrid. Location was extremely convent, walking distant to major destinations. Front desk staff was probably the best I've ever encountered, he was professional and very helpful. Will definitely stay again if we were in Madrid.

Great location and comfortable stay however the staff that checked us in was very unfriendly.

This hotel was located just a few steps away from the Grand Via Metro stop, making it very convenient for touring Madrid. Our room was nice - the bathroom was a bit dated but acceptable by European standards. The staff was helpful, but not as fluent in English as other hotels I've stayed at in Madrid.

Great location, nice hotel, lighting is a little on the dark side.

Very small and noisy. You can hear everything that's going on on the street. My husband and I could barely move on our little double bed and he joked that if they took one star off this "four star" hotel we'd have no bed. The bathroom was really uncomfortable too.

Upon arrival I presented my passport and said I had a reservation. I was not greeted by the woman at the reception desk and after she checked her computer and printed some papers, her only words were: 'sign here, here, and here' while presenting 3 forms and then 'you are on 210' and, finally, 'the elevators are down the lobby' (she forgot to mention to make a right and go through a double metal door, details details). To get a password for the wi-fi I had to call 3 times (she put me on hold the first time, didn't answer the second, and hung up without talking the third) and I had to go to get the info. A 4-star hotel should be more selective choosing the front desk personnel (as in, at least smile and be polite!).

within footsteps of the city center, but just one block removed so you can have a little peace and quiet. Hotel is excellent, clean, and nice staff. Room is very small, but consistent with European hotels - oh well.

This hotel is underpriced probably because Portugal's economy. Do yourself a favor and use this hotel. Location is great too! 12 Euros to the Airport and 10 Euros to Barrio Alto by taxi ! Win Win!

The Hotel itself was conviniently located on the Villa de la Reina and id down the block from the Gran Via Metro station. The hotel staff are very helpful and kind. The area itself is centrally located and busy and congested with tourist and is a central shopping hub. Many restaurants in the area and is walking distance to The plaza del Sol and El Corte Ingles shopping center. I would recommend this hotel in the future.

Take the train to Gran Via hotel is is across the street very close to the station. Walked to everything in Madrid Puerta del sol is 2min. Palace is 8 min. museums 10min. The hotel breakfast buffet was good lots of options pizza next door 24hr. mcdonalds across the street kfc 2 min. walk. Shopping is everywhere could bring an empty suitecase. Puerta del sol connects to all the sights fun place to be.

I was impressed by the room in the hotel, but i was kind of disappointed when they forgot to tidy the room......

it has the best location in madrid. however the room was small. only bed and bathroom, for a single male like me was ok cause all i needed is place to sleep and free internet. tv has few channels. locker is small. I would stay agan if i ever go to madrid.

Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Right in the centre of Madrid.

Stayed there for a 2 night weekend in January 20,2012. We really enjoyed the location of this hotel as we quickly discovered it was within walking Distance from El SOL ( around 3-5 minute walk) and all the shops and restaurants. There is plenty to do around. Plus the subway station is a 1 minute walk literally. So Cheers for its location. Rooms are Small IMHO The Sofa bed its unconfortable. You can feel the metal strings, so try it before going to bed and request extra covers to get on top so you wont feel the metal rings of the small sofa mattress If paying for the Bed and breakfast option comes up being more than 15 bucks per person I would not get it. There are plenty of restaurants and places around to go and have a nice break fast

Location, service, and quality of hotel was great. On the Gran Via- which is one of the most popular streets in Madrid. Lots of shopping, resturants, and right next to Metro line. Walking distance to Puerto De Sol, Plaza Mayor, Plaza Santa Ana, and really great tapas resturants. My only complaint would be that the bed was really hard and the room was really small. Everything else was great. Would recommend.

Couldn't really fault it. Our triple room was a bit small for 3 adults but this is just nit-picking. A fantastic hotel!
