We had a great time at the Royal Sands, our only negative would be that the furniture in the rooms was a bit dated. Its not in bad condition is just a bit old fashioned, but I think that is just the style they go for. The all inclusive was well worth having and the food in the various restaurant's was very good.

It was a beautiful experience and one of the best vacations I had in recent years.

Not bad. Decent rooms, decent pools etx but food needs to improve!!

The hotel was well kept and the staff very friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean, but could use some updating. Possibly time to replace old mattresses with a better quality pillow top mattress. The ocean and pool views were spectacular.

Enjoyed a nice Relaxing stay.

The bad: - When we first arrived to check-in, we discovered that we got a room on the first floor in front of the pool. When we asked for a different room, the receptionist checked for options and chatted with his colleagues in Spanish, then told us that there were no other rooms available. Luckily my wife speaks fluent Spanish - it seems that he found better rooms but didn't want to tell us since he claimed that we "weren't nice". When we told him that we understood everything he was saying - he magically came up with a better room... - Since we stayed over the weekend we had to change rooms on Saturday. The change itself went smoothly but it was annoying to wait in the room in the middle of the day. - The hotel DOESN'T have a wired high speed Internet option, as opposed to the description. The good: - The resort itself is not bad, the rooms and public areas were clean, most of the employees where quite nice especially the waiters in the La Veranda (Alejandro was our favorite - very kind and friendly, well done!) - We tried the "Hacienda Sisal" restaurant and we both liked it. Lessons that we learned here: 1. If your vacation includes a weekend - don't go to a resort... or at least make sure you won't have to switch rooms in the middle of your stay. 2. One rude receptionist can really put a damper on your vacation... If you happen to deal with one during check-in, don't let him ruin your day - simply ask for someone else.

Service was great, lots of places to eat. Shuttles to take. We did the all inclusive...food and drink never stopped coming and there were plenty of options to choose from.

This hotel was very beautiful have sea view and lagoon view everyone was very friendly and nice the service was excellent. Staff was very efficient and all of them very well trained I must say I would not hesitate to recommend this resort at all very family friendly resort.

We arrived later in the evening from a long day of travel and found the front desk to be very helpful and speaking English. Our room had a searate bedroom with a large living room with two Murphy beds for our two kids and incredible views of the water from our 5th floor balcony, which was very large. We will certainly come back to Royal Sands again for another stay! Lots of hotel amenities and the largest pool (2 pool bars) in a place that we have stayed at. Kids were excited once they saw the pool and the beautiful water.

Only booked for one night. Nice hotel, reasonable price!

It was outstanding. Everything was top-notch from the room to the concierge. The view was spectacular, and the beach, with the bar service, was wonderful.

It was a very good experience. The hotel had all the necessary amenities; pool areas very nice; beach wonderful; staff efficient and friendly. I will be back.

Great location. Nice, clean beach. Well maintained property. Overpriced restaurant. Good place for families with kids and older folks. A bit boring after 7 PM.

The Royal Sands is an excellent property with friendly staff, good location and great facilities. I would highly recommend it.

When booking, we had been told that the room had absolutely no kitchen facilities, but we were very pleasantly surprised to find a bar-sized fridge, a coffee maker, a small microwave oven and a set of small plates, bowls, glasses, coffee cups and cutlery for two persons - plus a corkscrew! The sleeping area had an adjustable-speed ceiling fan, which made a big difference in comfort. There was also a room safe in the large closet. The pools were great and the service and friendliness exceptional. The surf was usually too rough to swim in the ocean, but we enjoyed walking along the beach at the water's edge and also the "La Palapa" service (grass umbrellas over table and chairs on the beach).

We really enjoyed staying at the Royal Sands. The rooms were not fancy, but they were clean. The location was perfect and the pool and the beach were beautiful. This is a great place to go with kids, there is a large kiddie pool and a lot of complementary activities for them as well.

Had a wonderful holiday in a great hotel (Royal Sands). About the attractions - most are "touristtraps" but some are great like the daytrip to Isla Contoy (a National Reserve/Park). Depending what you are looking for the evening/night trips with dinner and drinks can be a bit crazy but generally fun! Watch out for "Apartment Time-Share" meetings/presentations - most of them are scam - big time! The resturants at the Kukulkan strip are generally very good both from a service and food perspective. We didn't find any reason to go Cancun downtown although we did it once and had a great evening but that was also true for resturants outside and close to the hotel area. If important it's easy to decrease your spending by just some innovative approach instead of asking the hotel to serve. Only on the trip to the airport we save 25$ just to book a taxi by one of the outside agents instead of going with the hotel service. Have fun - it's easy in Cancun

Service, service, service, that's what you can count on at the Royal Sands. It's immaculate and its staff is helpful and friendly.

We spent 1 night at the Royal Sands in preparation for an early morning flight. We'd spent the previous week in a beach hut. After a week of hot and humid temperatures, we welcomed the Royal Sands air conditioning. Swimming in the pool without being pummeled by the Caribbean surf was another great part of the hotel. The third great part was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The hotel itself felt like a little America (my apologies to readers who aren't American.) It had shops, restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, spa, and a doctor. The room even had a television with English-speaking programs. It would be possible to spend a week there without leaving the resort. This may be an attraction to some. But for me personally, I didn't like the inclusiveness of the hotel, as it was too far removed from the local area and people. I enjoyed the aircon and the pool and the staff, but felt too insulated from the rest of the world. I would stay there again if I had to spend the night in Cancun, but not for an extended stay. This is just a personal preference, though - it was a great place if you just want to lay in the sun and relax. I would recommend looking for other restaurants, though. We had two meals at the terrace restaurant. They were two of the most expensive meals of our trip, but the food was very average. I wouldn't eat there again, unless there were no other options. But the staff were brilliant! I rated the condition of our room at a '3' because there were also a few minor mechanical problems with our room. The refrigerator had an unpleasant whine and the bathtub stopper didn't work. We just lived with it, though, and didn't ask for help. I'm certain the staff would have done all they could to address the problems, if we'd told them, however.

pasamos una semana con mi novia en este resort y hay muy poco que criticar. Un lindo lugar merece un buen hotel como éste.

Personal muy amable. Muy buen mantenimiento de las instalaciones y limpieza de habitaciones. Se puede avisar en el lobby para que limpien la habitación a determinada hora durante toda la estancia. Muy buena ubicación, cerca de la Isla. Variedad de restaurantes, muy buenos todos ellos

מלון יחסית ישן אך מהנה מאוד , חדרים שפונים לאוקינוס ,שירות מדהים, מרחק של 2 דק נסיעה באוטובוס שעובר כל 5 דק מהמרכז העניניים. נקי מאוד ! שירות מעולה. אנחנו אישית לקחנו במלון הכל כלול ופשוט לא חסכו מאיתנו דבר !

Lenta Si vas mas de una semana lo cambian de habitación lo cual es un desastre con perdida de tiempo En caso de todo incluido hay que andar con brazalete y tarjeta a todos lados , una tontería. Se perdió algo en habitación y la gerencia no responde por nada

Todo estuvo muy bueno la ubicación del hotel es la mejor, la comida es excelente, las atenciones fuera de serie, el unico pero que encuentro es el tema del tiempo compratido, aburren..

Vi hade vart ute en kväll och blivit rånade på mobiler och lite kort. Och internet fungerade inte på hotellet så fråga vi om vi kunde få slå upp ett nr. då kunde ingen engelska längre och alla bara försvann...dom slarvade bort mitt nycklel kort till rummet och de sa att jag fått det och jag sa inte en schans nej men oj helt plötsligt låg det rakt framför näsan på han oj vad märkligt att det helt plötsligt dök upp. Nej till detta hotell

Es un lugar muy agradable, tiene muy buenos espacios y comodidades. El único tema que se debe revisar es la venta de tiempos compartidos por parte de asesores dentro del hotel, se vuelve un tema incómodo.

Superfint hotell, finfin pool, härlig strand nedanför (med ganska hård sjö så det var alltid rödflaggat av badvakten.) Vi åt frukost och lunch varje dag på restaurangen vid poolen, supergod mat och trevlig personal. Övriga hotellpersonalen var dock inte lika trevliga, smått arroganta och korta i tonen. Dessutom hade vi en gnagande känsla av att vara outsiders. Gästerna var till 99% amerikaner, återkommande sådana, eftersom rummen delvis är andelslägenheter.

O hotel é muito bom, os quartos são espaçosos, o único problema são as cadeiras na praia e na piscina, todo dia era um estress para conseguir cadeiras para se sentar e as pessoas andavam com as cadeiras debaixo do braço. Outra surpresa que tivemos foi ter que mudar de quarto depois de 1 semana de estadia e culparam a Hoteis.com de não terem nos informado da necessidade de mudar de quarto.

Hotel nota 10. ótimo.

The hotel has a great view over the sea and has a large and nice swimming pool. You have directly access from the hotel to a beautiful beach with wonderful blue water. Waves can be a bit high sometimes but there are beach guards which keep you safe. There is a waiter going around at the beach taking orders. Rooms clean and beds comfortable. Internet free of charge. Will recommend this hotel if you are looking for a beach vacation.

HAY UNO POR EJEMPLE EN PLAYA DEL CARMEN ASI QUE SI QUIERES PASAR UN DIA EN PLAYA DEL CARMEN (QUE SE LOS RECOMIENDO) TIENES UN HOTEL DONDE QUEDARTE ALLA Y PASAR TU DIA SABROZO

Realmente un buen lugar para quedarse en Cancún, la habitación cuenta con un balcón con vistas espectaculares.. Me encantó el mini super que tiene el Hotel, se pueden alquilar también pelis, comprar flores... y el Spa, de lo mejor!!!! todo muy bien. Hotel totalmente recomendado!!! Lo unico que tal vez puede resultar un poco cansado es que hay mucho personal intentado vender tiempo compartido.
