Sofitel London St James - لندن

This hotel was wonderful! The rooms are very well decorated and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and recommended great restaurants in the area. We never had to use the underground, we felt that we were close enough to all the major sites and walked. I would highly recommend this hotel!

The softies St. James, London, is so ideally located specially to West End. The bed is the best in all the 5 stars I have stayed.

from the recepcionists to the bell boys, the restraurant and bar atendan, even the rom made, everithing, every detail; was more than perfect I will recomend all the people I know, all frequent travellers, to stay at the St James Sofitel

Lovely hotel in an ideal location. While the hotel is just a mere 2min away from Piccadilly, the hotel's location is nice and quiet, just steps away from St James' park. The hotel was very nice indeed - small rooms (not so unusual in London) but very comfortable and well appointed and a surprisingly large bathroom. Having lived in London for 9 years, coming back to London and staying at the Sofitel felt just like being home once more.

Good location - walking distance to theaters, Big Ben, Picadilly, Trefalgar and also tube stations. Nice bar, Hermes toiletries, coffee system in room. Good value considering the high cost of London.

Fabulous. Would not stay anywhere else in London

Excellent hotel and the staff were extremely helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable - especially the beds. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel but it I had to complain about anything it would be that the room was to have a street view but I was actually looking into a small and dark inner courtyard.

This hotel most certainly met five star standards and five star service. The staff went out of their way to make my partner and me feel more than comfortable and left fabulous little treats in our room. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, whether on business or pleasure. Great hotel, great location, great staff.

I have never regretted staying at a Sofitel hotel. This stay is no exception. It was just as classy and as good an experience as all of the others. Staff was very friendly, helpful and professional, and the hotel itself adheres to the highest of standards. Yes, it is is quite pricey, but you get what you pay for. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Everybody works hard to ensure you're getting what you need and what you want. The location couldn't be better, and I've stayed in various neighborhoods. I was in transit for a few days and walked just about everywhere. Lots of restaurants nearby, of all ranges. Free internet, always a plus. Absolutely lovely staff. And frankly, a deal. Given how expensive this city can be, they really deliver space, amenities, and comfort. A++

This is a real gem. Well located with wonderful service. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Best service ever - hands down. Terrific location in the middle of everything. Gorgeous hotel. I can't say enough great things about this gem. And while I've experience terrific service at other hotels in the past, nothing rivals the service of the Sofitel St James. As an example, my wife and I went to a Mozart symphony one evening, and happened to leave a symphony flyer on the bed as we left. When we came back later that evening our room had been turned down (I believe for the second time that day) and the television was turned on to a Mozart music channel. This was this first time we returned to have our TV on, so it was obviously an incredible attention to detail by the hotel staff, and not a happy coincidence. Could not have been happier with this hotel.

Just returned from a four night stay in the Sofitel St. James. Overall the level of service was very good. The staff was attentitive, kind, and helpful. The location is superb and within easy walking distance of Buckingham Palace, the surrounding parks, Trafalgar Square, The National Gallery, China Town, The West End, and the shopping along Regent and Oxford Streets. Piccadilly Circus tube station is a two minute walk from the hotel. One cautionary note. My brother was given a room across the hall from a room with several rotating body guards who constantly had their door open and glared at us every time we visited him. They had a chair stationed sideways in the entry of their room where they could straddle it and look down the hallway. The front desk thought we should be happy to have body guards around us. I am not sure if I would want to be in proximity of a person who need that much protection.

The room we stayed in was overpriced for the decor displayed. Other than that, the bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, waterflow was very good for the shower...and important for female travelers: the hairdryer worked great!

First time staying at a Sofitel and we were very pleased. Staff was top notch. Beds were extremely comfortable. Carpet in our two rooms could stand to be replaced. All new carpet in hallways. Very clean. Even the Bartenders were wonderful and helpful. Concierge was 5 star. HD tv. Complementary internet for emails/charge for high speed. Good neighborhood. 3 blocks from Buckingham Palace. We would come back here again and I am picky!

We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel immensely. Location is perfect to explore London. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great rooms, very clean and luxurios. We are looking forward to go back. Highly recommended

We spent 3 nights at the Sofitel and they were great. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions, recommendations, etc. The food was good the one evening we ate in the bar. The location was fantastic. Walking distance to quite a bit.

I booked the Picnic package and was delighted by it. The food was excellent and the basket was well packed and adorable. I had a great time here.

The central, yet quiet location, friendly and helpful staff, the well appointed room and the big feather bed will not dissapoint the seasoned traveller. In fact the only dissapointment we had was having to leave!

Superb location for parks and shopping... if you can handle the masses of people. The staff in the hotel were super. The brasserie staff coped wonderfully with our 4 year old... and they knew what a sirop was... which is important for French & Swiss based families!

This hotel was perfectly situated in London to access all of the sites and shopping. The tube was just a few blocks a way as well. Service was impeccable and we even checked in by 10 AM! The price is expensive (especially for Americans with the exchange). If you don't mind paying a little extra, I would definitely recommend the Sofitel. Our room was very comfortable and large for European standards.

Great property with super location. European staff excels in delivering superior service. Room (deluxe queen) smallish but very well appointed comfortable.

Sofitel was a great hotel for us, because we were only in London for 4 days and we wanted to be close to everything. It is down the street from the Tube, Trafalgar Square, Theater District and the Thames. The price, service and quality were consistent with a 5-star hotel. We would not hesitate to recommend it to someone looking for luxurious digs in the middle of London.

Upon arrival, Sunday evening at 9:00 P:M, we were greeted by a wonderful staff. We were starving and asked where we could eat. The concierge told us "everything closes early on Sundays" We were dismayed, but he did find us a restaurant to go to. As we walked to it, through Piccadilly Circus, we found many restaurants open, so we were good to go. Our room was very generic, but comfortable, ( I would say 4 stars, because it wasn't luxurious) The shower was a poor design, as it poured water onto the bathroom floor everytime you used it. Not luxurious by any means, but comfortable with a Wonderful staff.

We loved the hotel, service and location. We could walk to many sites and we were near the underground. The only caveat was the breakfast buffet which was outrageously expensive but there were several delightful cafes in the neighborhood that served breakfast,

We cannot rave enough about our stay at the Sofitel St. James. The service was outstanding - 5 star all the way around. Friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel - reception, bellman, housekeeping - and the concierge was invaluable with dining recommendations. The room was fashionably modern with all the amenities. Small spaces (in keeping with other European hotel stays), but efficiently designed to accommodate our belongings without being too cramped. You cannot beat the location. The hotel is steps from St. James Park (we highly recommend taking time for a picnic there), Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly. We would absolutely return to the Sofitel St. James on our next trip to London!

We really enjoyed staying here: the staff couldn't have been friendlier (though it is disconcerting to be welcomed with a "bonjour" in London) and the location could not have been better: ridiculously close to fun spots and museums in the West End, and yet on a quite and protected little corner. Convenient, pleasant, comfortable - worth every penny.

Pris på frokosten er som å "rane" folk, men restauranten var meget bra forøvrig.

Com a cara de Londres, tem como ponto principal sua localizacao privilegiada. Proximo aos principais pontos turisticos. O servico do hotel tambem e execelente!!!

Hotellet har en fantastisk beliggenhed, med mulighed for løbeture i den nærliggende park og shopping lige om hjørnet. Servicen er meget høj. Hotellets senge skal også nævnes, man soner som en drøm!

他の方のレビューにもありましたが、ロケーションがとてもよく、トラファルガー広場、ナショナルギャラリー、セント・ジェームズ公園、ピカデリーサーカスに近く、ウェストミンスター寺院やビッグジョンも歩いていける距離にありました。５泊しましたが、いろいろ回るのにとても便利でした。周囲は車が頻繁に行き交っていましたが、ホテルの前は道が広くて前の建物との間に距離があり、しかも一方通行になっているためか、車の通行量は多くなく、静かでした。ホテルのスタッフは、これも他の方のレビューどおり、とても親切で愛想が良くてフレンドリーで気持ちよかったです。ホテル内のレストランBalconも、素敵な雰囲気でありながら、さほど堅苦しくもなく、スタッフも常ににこやかで感じが良く、お料理もおいしかったです。お部屋のベッドがとても気持ちいいというコメントを多く見ましたが、それもその通りでとても寝心地が良くて快眠できました。とても満足してすごすことが出来ましたので、次にロンドンに宿泊する時もリピートしたいです。

Absolutt verdt pengene, og veldig fornøyd med oppholdet. Bra plassering, veldig hyggelig rom. God roomservice. Litt kjip frokost, men room-service-frokosten var grei. Standard kjip frokost med bare søte saker-ish.

スタンダード料金でしたが部屋のきれいさや豪華さ、ベッドの質もバスルームの豪華さもすべてが最高レベルで大満足です。ロケーション的にもピカデリーサーカスから至近とあって便利です。

Idéalement situé en plein coeur de Londres, cet hôtel est parfait sous toutes les coutures. Service excellent, isolation des chambres excellente, restauration variée et de qualité, un petit-déjeuner gargantuesque, un salon de thé où il fait bon prendre le thé l'après-midi (attention, réservation obligatoire), c'est vraiment idyllique...mais cher, le luxe à un prix !!
