Stayed there over night for my wife's b-day. First issue. No real line when checking in. We got skipped by at least 4 people and the clerks didn't care. Second issue. Parking. They said they had valet parking when I asked. They didnt mention that is was a separate company and that you needed to pay. Third issue. Way too expensive for what they give you, although I will admit, being in the heart of Time Square is convenient. But I could have saved much more at a hotel just as nice only 2 blocks away WITH free parking. Fourth. If you dont mind being a bit voyeuristic, then you will be happy to listen to your sweetheart empty her bladder with the smoked glass enclosed bathroom. That could be a bonus to some and a negative to others I suppose lol Checkout was easy. Right through the TV. Seems like the hotel is trying to have the identity of upscale trendy when it really isnt.

Great location, staff was nice.. But had to take 3 elevators to get to my room and needed my room key to use the elevators (no big deal but a pain).

Great location, and the room was very quiet despite being steps from Times Square. Did not like the bath room at all - frosted glass walls, no privacy, loud panel door. Check in was very quick and easy.

Friendly helpful staff, comfortable beds, great location! Cant say anything bad!

I highly recommend the W Times Square. The hotel was convenient to all sites. Great ammenities and staff. Comfortable rooms. All around beautiful hotel.

Clean rooms, good location if you want to be near subways and Broadway shows.

There are Two Towers, one from the 8-33 and the other from 34-60. The betters rooms are on the upper levels. I think minimal is good but in W time square yore paying location not for a big or luxury room. Rooms are small ando "ok" Cheers...

The best place to stay in all of Manhatten !

We experienced excellent service with a spectacular view! The only thing I would have changed was the very modern, yet not so private bathroom. The glass walls of the bathroom seemed glazed but still very see through and not sound proof either.

We were very impressed from the outset - the night that we arrived, it was raining, and we were met by Brian holding up an umbrella for us, and then taking care of our luggage. He was such an asset tot he hotel - from our 1st to last impression, we couldn't have been any happier with his help. WE also had a bit of a problem with the fact that when we changed our room (due to excessive noise from the icemaker), we inadvertently left behind our brand new camera charger. After advising Security of exactly where we'd left it in the previous room, and it subsequently not being found, the hotel refunded the cost of our replacemnt charger - which we were obviously delighted by. All in all, a pretty good stay at a great hotel.

Everything about the hotel was great. The only thing we found odd was the see-through bathroom--I have never come across that before. We had to request (3 times) for someone to come and cover the bathroom wall.

This is a great hotel, in theory. Very different, beautiful. However, our room overlooked Times Square and it was NOISY all through the night. When we left the front door it was a sea of people. Next time I'll look for something a few blocks north...and walk to the shows. The bar on the 7th floor was incredibly noisy.

Coupled with good service, the W hotels bed and shower were beyond all expectations! Thank you!

The W Times Square is in the thick of it, for sure. Having stayed at the Marriott Marquis before, we were looking for something a little more fresh/trendy - the W fits the bill. A very good spot, especially if you're looking at staying in Times Square. And if you're looking to stay in that area, your expectations should be filled with lots of traffic, people, noise, etc...this is not a "getaway" spot by any means. But we really enjoyed it - the rooms were bigger than expected and coming home to the lobby bar each night was great for a nightcap. Blue Fin a good spot for pre-dinner cocktail and people watching. Good stuff!

The W is a nice hotel but too trendy for my tatste. Elevators were very dark and could barely see the floor buttons. Very pricey hotel and too me, not worth the cost. Friendly staff. Rooms were just average size. Bathroom was just so so. Expected larger and more elaborate for the price. shower/tub combo, not cool. Beds were very comfortable in my first room, not so much when I switched to a smoking room. room service was ridculously overpriced. If money is not a concern, then by all means stay there. It is in a great location.

Great hotel - just PLEASE make it more affordable and don't nickel and dime people for "extras" like internet.

the room was modern and clean , in the heart of times square ...city tour bus right at the corner , great location , great food , tremendous service except for the concierge .in person they were great on the phone they were very evasive so go to the 7th floor in person if u need concierge service ... all in all a great stay , just overpriced !!

Conceirge was amazing to book anything we needed, especially Jarrod. There were absolutely no complaints.

The staff were extremely helpful and accomadating. The room was a good size, for NYC anyway! Very comfortable. Great location, since I'm not really a tourist being in the middle of Times Square can be a little much, but couldn't ask for better location in terms of access to subways, etc.

My wife of 25 years and I are in our 40's and we are world travelers although this was our first time to NYC for pleasure. We wanted to stay in Times Square and generally we try to stay nicer hotels and this hotel seemed to be our best choice within Times Square. Like most W hotels we have stayed at it is very trendy hotel conveniently located to Broadway and all the theaters. The only disappointment in our "Cool Corner Room" is the beds are not "heavenly" and the water pressure was non-existent. However, based on the younger crowds this hotel seems to cater to I don't think the general eye candy cares about how comfortable the beds are and as long as there is "some" water to freshen up with the water pressure is probably not an issue either. Other than that the hotel is nice.

The hotel was clean & the rooms were good sized. We had a great view of Broadway and were only a block or two from Restaurant Row, Radio City, etc. The staff was extremely helpful. Loved it! Would definitely stay again!!

TheW Times Square is well located for broadway shows and sightseeing. The staff was extremely accommodating and the room was clean, hip and spacious by NYC standards. I would stay again.

This has been one of the best experiences for me. And I have travelled a lot. The staff was extra accomodating, the room was great, and the location -- simply the best! If you are planning to spend time in New York City, W Times Square is one of the best places to stay!

It was great-big room for NY and great walking location to lots in the city! very modern and clean and the Blue Fin restaurant was so good!!

Great location, great rooms with amazing views. The restuarent blu Pin downstairs is very cool with spectacular view of Times square. Beds very confortable. excellent for the price, i would go back anytime!

All good apart from the reception staff who lacked customer service skills. We were greeted but the smiles were fleeting and false. Our late arrival meany we were tired and wanted a welcoming face to tell us a bit about the hotel and amenities. We got told nothing, despite the couple in front of us being told all about the areas and had all their questions answered. On departure I asked three times for assistance in storing our bags for the afternoon. All requests were met with distain and 'just wait here, someone will be with you'. I waited and waited but nothing. Maybe it was because we had three children with us.... Overall a great hotel. Near the centre and easy access to all sights. Rooms very clean and maids very friendly. Bluefin for breakfast was very good. Bar/lounge area moody and chic. Just change your front of house team!!!

This was my 1st time in NY and the W at Times Square was perfect. Loved the decor, loved the room, and loved the location. We were able to check in early which was a plus. The staff was very professional, nice and helpful. We went to two Broadway Shows and they were both with in walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel

I was very unhappy with my initial room but to the credit of the staff at the W, they upgraded my new bride and I to a larger room free of charge. I am not one to complain so it took a lot for me to pick up the phone and tell the staff I was initially unhappy. The staff is very friendly and treated this southenr boy like New York family. I highly recommend to anyone.

My wife and I had a wonderful accomodation at the W Hotel at Times Square. The staff were great, the lobby and bar area is a happening area. Our room was nice size, very comfortable and a great view up Broadway. The hotel restaurant Blue Fin was a great dinner and their breakfast was terrific. This is the best location for Broadway theaters and other NYC attractions. We will definitely stay at the W Hotel on future visits.

great location to times square and theater district, clean rooms, polite service, lively lounge. one minor thing was on our floor (43rd) there was this bad smell the entire weekend. but i recommend it overall, and we're pretty picky

I've been to this hotel's bar and restaurant before, but never stayed there. From the second I set foot out of the cab to the time I left the hotel, everything was impeccable - the service, food, comfort, cleanliness. The hotel is also very conveniently located close to several different subway lines. Although I don't normally like to stay on Times Square because of all the light, noise and crowds of tourists, my room was on the 52 floor overlooking the square and other parts of Manhattan and far away from the noise. Great check-in experience, extremely nice and polite staff at the front desk and on the floors, including the cleaning lady who was very professional and courteous. At the bar, the bartenders are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and make great suggestions; at the restaurant, the food is delicious, I had several meals there alone and with company and we all enjoyed everything we had. Passionfruit and keylime martinis are to die for! Great seafood and sushi. Cool decor and pleasant atmosphere. There is a minibar in the room, no coffeemaker though, but there is a Starbucks directly across from the hotel - so convenient! Also, the room is a bit smaller, the bed is ok, and there is no tub in the bathroom. But those are small things, easy to get over - overall, the room is very clean, well-organized, there is sufficient lighting, great desk, and roomy enough closet. They offer robes too, which is nice. TV channels are basic cable, not many choices, but then again who comes to New York to watch TV? All in all, great experience, I will definitely come back and stay there again. I travel to New York about 15-20 times a year for a few days at a time and have always stayed at different hotels to have a new experience every time; this W hotel is one of the few that I'd like to come back to.

The "W" has a very hip disposition. From the waterfalls in the lower lobby to the low-key, lighting in the main lounge area. The hotel staff were attentive, engaging and available. This was a terrific Times Square location and close to so many famous NYC places - theatres, restaurants, event centers, etc. The beds were fabulously comfortable, as were the linens. Very inviting! The one thing I did not care for was the way the bathrooms were laid out - the subdued see-through glass of the "bathroom cube" made me fee a bit uncomfortable among the other people in my room. It was not a private enough space. I guess I am not as hip as I thought-

My mother and I were in NYC for 2 nights to see a few museum exhibits and do some shopping. I have stayed at a lot of hotels in NY and this is one of the finest. I thought the Times Square location meant it would be filled w/ load tourists w/ noisy kids, but this was not the case. The hotel is very clean and the decor is great (very contemporary). I would stay here again. The only thing I found odd about the room were the bathroom walls/doors. They are made from a type of frosted glass. Although it is somewhat opaque, you can still tell when someone is sitting on the toilet (during the day and at night). NOTE: The W is an animal friendly hotel request and animal free floor if you have allergies.
