Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa - جاتلينبرج

I was not at all pleased with my stay at the Westgate resort. The room was very small - no room to place any luggage - we ended up putting in the bathroom. I was asked on 3 separate occasions to participate in a time share presentation while already staying at the resort. I relented and sat thru the 3 hour presentation which they initially said would only be 90 minutes. I attempted to leave and they continued the pressure. I left without the promised $$ and other offers they entice you with because I was tired of being pushed. I will never stay there again. The water park was nice but more for smaller children. The food was tolerable but not worth the money.

I traveled to this resort with 3 other friends to celebrate a birthday. We had a wonderful time! All employees were very nice and helpful. The only thing I could critique would be for their website to better publicize that the waterpark is not complimentary. You will have to pay $21 per person. The resort is very close to downtown. The trolley system will come up to the resort. This was a nice feature. We didn't have to worry about getting the car out. We were able to catch the trolley and it took us right downtown in Gatlinburg. The Cabins are beautiful and clean and the resort offers free shuttle services. There are also 4 restaurants on the property and the resort offers several activities. We had a very nice stay. I will definitely be using this resort again someday!!

Beautiful Resort. Be careful about extra charges not listed, ie. security charges, daily resort fees.

I enjoyed my stay. The only thing wrong with the entire trip was the parking. I think if I pay that much to stay then I should not have to fight for a parking place or have to park at another spot and walk to my room. I think there should be at least one assigned parking spot per room conveniently located directly in front of the room. For those that bring more than one vehicle then they will have one assigned spot and not be able to take all the parking.

Clean rooms, but nothing special. The washer/dryer outside the rooms is a nice perk, and the outside is pretty and well tended. Location between pigeon forge and gatlinburg was perfect.

This resort is just beautiful! It is in amazing condition inside & out. We went during the Memorial Day weekend so the restaurant was busy, but the portions were Paul Bunyan sized. The views were breathtaking and the resort is 3 miles away from the chaos of Pigeon Forge. My only complaint is the lack of sound proofing. Better doors & windows might help. Other than that, I would stay again...on a less busy weekend.

I WAS TOTALLY TAKEN BACK. THIS WAS THEE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. THE PRICE WAS THE GREATEST. I WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR AND THIS TIME I WILL STAY FOR 7-10 DAYS. OUTSTANDING IN ALL AREAS.

I was very disappointed with this resort. Although the hotel is beautiful, make sure you request a specific room to get the most out of your stay. Each cabin complex is comprised of several units. We were, unfortunately, placed on the ground floor in a one bedroom suites. Our unit faced the parking lot (which, although lovely, wasn't ideal), and experienced a very very large amount of foot traffic. Sleeping was not possible because of the noise level, and for some reason the kitchen area appliances (or maybe it was the pipes) made such a racket that we simply checked out of the hotel a day early. However, I am sure others would have a more successful stay if they requested the top floor unit or rooms available facing away from the main parking areas.

We wanted to eat supper in Gatlinberg. Being off season everything was closing early. We missed our supper. Thankfully the hotel store was still open. Our valet was amazing and gave us a complete tour of our room and explained our surroundings. I like the gatekeeper he was fun and the shuttle stopped in mid route to offer us a ride even though we weren't at a stop. Our only regret was we didn't have more time here

The resort is really old and the lay out was not at all convenient, the appliances are old. The water park was really good but you had pay to use it. Our building was located near the entrance and did not feel like a resort it felt like we were in a motel. the view was really bad. not happy with the room

Too many steps to climb to ur room other than that it was wonderfull

We loved this place. Very kid friendly. Perfect location. Actually considering getting a time share there.

We had to move furniture to use the pullout couch which wasn't a huge deal but then you couldn't walk by the bed to get to the tv. There was so little room between the couch and the kitchen table we had to turn sideways to walk between them to get to the bathroom (we are not large people). The jets in our garden tub didn't work which was a bummer to our 5 year old. All of that aside, my real complaint was that the cost of the room was not the only expense we had to use the facility. Upon check in, we were also assessed an amenities fee for each day we were there for things like wi-fi (which we didn't use). There is also an additional fee for the indoor water park per person.-and you don't get a discounted rate for staying at the hotel. People off the street pay the same price. It was raining while we were there and as a guest of the hotel we were told to park in a parking lot that was about a half mile walk to the indoor water park to allow people who weren't staying in the hotel the upfront parking because they can't go passed the security gate. Maybe I'm thinking too much into this but shouldn't the hotel be catering to the guests that have paid to stay there?? Overall we had a good time but I probably wouldn't stay there again - we could have paid half the cost for another room and still gone to use the water park at the same cost.

We were more than pleased with our first stay at Westgate. Our room was clean, beautiful and well decorated. The staff was very friendly...and we were happy to be able to park and just take the resort trolley on the site and then city Trolley to downtown Gatlinburg.

This was the second time in 3 months that we stayed at the Gatlinburg Westgate. We were happy with our room, but the Smokehouse Grill's service and food left a bad taste in our mouths. My husband & the lady at the next table had food that wasn't cooked though. The manager never bothered to come over when told about it and it was a slow time of evening. We will not be eating there again. Again it was very obvious the difference in treatment between "owners" & guests. Staying at a different hotel for our next trip.

We only spent the weekend at west gate but we loved the room with the fire place. The kids loved that they had their own bedroom. The water park attracted me as a plan b but luckily the weather was great. You can take a quick ride up to gatlinburg or take the trolley. I would love to go back sometime. It was great!

The resort was perfect location to Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. The staff was friendly; room was very clean; Family activities and the indoor waterpark was a big hit with the kids!

Our trip started out fine. No traffic at all on highway. We get to Pidgeon Forge and had no idea it would take a full hour to travel 3 miles. Once we arrived we were greeted with friendly smiling faces, roaring fire and a bag of cookies. We were escorted to our room and given the tour. It was really what we needed after the past 3 months. We will be back.

Will not stay here again. Room was nice, but they charge for everything! Indoor pool is not included in room rate. If your room is not close to entrance good luck walking up and down the mountainous terrain. They say they have shuttle service but we never saw it.

Fabulous layout. I felt like I was in an apartment complex with all of the noise. I don't think you should be charged for the indoor water park while you stay at the resort. The wait staff at breakfast was unacceptable as there were tables empty and people waiting to be seated with a wait. The outdoor pool was not heated as specified.

It was very nice but it is not a hotel. There was no daily maid service. The room was more like a condo with a kitchen, den and separate bedroom. It was very clean.

Very disappointed. NO time to relax in the pool since there were too many kids until the very last minute in there. Where is the grown ups time? Because this is a time share and they give free stays to those attending seminars, there were very low class people there who acted as if they owned the place. As a paying customer this was very unsettling. Also, it was an additional charge for the water park and internet in your room, something I have never encountered before.

Queen bed shoved against one wall...not convenient. Dirty socks found in room. $50 deposit held for 7 days after checkout. Trouble finding convenient parking space one of two nights. Having to do garbage and linen on departure not the norm.

I am a person who is accustomed to staying in very high end hotels and since there are no luxury hotel chains in this area, we decided this was the best place to pick from. It was a very nice room at a decent value. The only thing that bothered me (having two young children) is that check in is at three in the afternoon and check out is by ten in the morning. Those times are not very convenient for a weekend getaway. But, it was nice and well kept.

We had a great time quiet relaxing awesome!!

ok. the fact that they advertise an indoor waterpark was the ONLY reason we elected to stay here. not until we checked in did we realize that the water park was not included. 20 bucks per person to enter. big surprise and we would have not stayed there had we known. will never stay here again!

Gave all 5"s because it doesn't go higher. It is a Great place to stay for the whole family. We had a Great time. The BBQ was excellent and everything else was very good also. Room very nice and very clean. The spa on site has a very friendly staff and they do a Great job.

Room was great stay was comfortable would tell my friends to stay hear but aviod the time share sells pitch was told it would be only 90 min. but took over 3 hrs ruinned the rest of my stay

This Resort was breathtaking. Our room was clean and the door to door service was great. It is right between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge which is easy to get to from any location.It had a great kitchen so you can cook for your family and save money. The children will love this place because of its wonderful water park that will keep them happy for hours.

I was very unhappy with this place. I will not return and I recommend avoiding this place to anyone I know. Avoid this place if .....you are picking it for an indoor pool. That costs alot extra. You can stay somwhere else more reasonaly and still use this property's indoor pool. The pool is not more convenient as there is no parking next to the pool. That is reserved for guest check-in. Do not expect the room to be cleaned daily, They only clean the room if you stay more than 4 days. The staff is not knowledgable. At least 2 staff members told me there was internet at the pool; but, the internet is at the lodge. The internet is very intermittent no matter where you use it. So, if you plan to work remotely from here, you will likely be disappointed. Also, the playground is surrounded by constant traffic. It is very unsettling having your kid near so many cars.

The resort is very nice and has great amenities. Heated outdoor pool and hot tub... awesome! However we had to wait in line 30 minutes just to check in and I am sure the people behind us had to wait longer. Our shower had a slow drain and the water was luke warm at best. Other than that, the room was nice and the beds were comfortable

Great stay! The first night was bad only because of some very noisy neighbors. But they moved us to another room which happened to be a very nice suite, free of charge for the upgrade. We ended up having a very nice stay. Highly recommend!

The hotel was nice however the level of service was unacceptable. Check-in took 40 minutes to complete,and when we ate at the restaurant, we stood at the cash register for at least 15 minutes waiting to pay for our meal while at least five people walked by. Not to mention the table and dishes were dirty. I am not a hard person to please, but to me when you spend that kind of money, you should get decent service.

quality of service was excellent and deserves a #5: however, we wiated an unusually long time in the check in line..that was poor. there were 8ish computers and only were using 3?!?! on a saturday!!! otherwise, a FANTASTIC place!
