Arora Hotel Gatwick - كرولي

This hotel was perfect but for one thing...I have a touchy back and the hotel used foam mattresses. Not enough support for me so I had to get extra pillows and sleep on the floor.

Very good location and comfort

Extremely convenient location. Adjacent to Crawley station on Southern line with frequent trains to and from London. Neal, clean, and quite hotel. Food at Gallucci restaurant is very good.

Comfortable, quiet, clean hotel close to Gatwick airport. Excellent service.

Overall, a very high standard at a good price. Bed was especially comfortable. The two things that let it down was the £10 overnight parking charge and the £8.20 for a glass of wine.

Location to the shopping area is great. would not recommand the restaurant inside the hotel. Hotel staff is great. BUT the check out time is not that good 10:00am.

Wasn't able to use the hotel shuttle as it needs pre booking but apart from that was everything I expected. Very convenient by train.

Nice hotel within walking distance of Crawley Town Centre. Rooms are modern and clean but would have expected complimentary bottle of water. Would stay again.

This is the second time 3 of us ladies stayed at this hotel. We chose this hotel as it had a jacuzzi and steam room so after our retail therapy we could relax, but on this occasion neither were working, it was a shame we were not notified beforehand especially as we had booked this room so far in advance. There were 3 of us sharing a room but only had tea and coffee facilities for 2 - we did ask at reception for this to be rectified but did not receive and extra mug or tea. I would not let that stop you staying at this hotel as it really is a nice hotel but do think the hotel should advise if the spa facilities are not working

Well preserved hotel, with spacious room, very clean, pleasant restaurant with excellent and friendly service. Close to airport (accessible by train, you don't really need a taxi). Bed and generally furniture could be newer. Spa was at the basement and gym looked small

Excellent service, good nights sleep had by all, we couldn't hear the planes at all. Reception were very plesant and gave us all the information we need fully knowledgeable. Thank you will be coming back.

stayed as an overnight with infant and wife, great hotel, easy walk to restaurants etc. the shuttlen was a little confusing and would have grabbed a cab instead...

So conveinient to airport. 5 min train ride to Crawley station and hotel is at the end of the platform. Hotel was really nice - good value.

We found the hotel to be good except for couple of thing which can be fixed. We needed a clock in the room. We tried to call for a wake up call and did not connect to front desk. We had asked about a shuttle to airport and were told the times of departure but we were not told we had to book for it. Fortunately there was space. The ride from the airpot was free - the ride to the airport was not. We felt it was good quality for the price.

The hotel is far enough away from Gatwick not to be below it's flightpath. Our room was roomy, clean and in good condition. The bed was very comfy, with plenty of room for two people to spread out. The main lounge was fabulous; a four storey high atrium with floor to ceiling glass front and back. The atmosphere was calm, and the leather sofas added to the comfort and ambience. Gallucci's restaurant was first class; my wife and I had a magnificent dinner there on the night we stayed. I would most definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice hotel and easy shutle from hotel to airport. I wish there was an easy way we could have gotten shuttle from airport to hotel since taxi was quite expensive but we didn't have phone service in London.

Reasonably priced, very comfortable with very easy train access to London. Adjacent to the Crawley station on the Southern line, less than 100 feet from the platform, Good food in the primary restaurant and the pub, high-speed wireless Internet access, fitness facility. Now have stayed there twice and will return.

The Hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. The Staff are excellent and always willing to help you. The facility was built 10 years ago but feels like it was finished this year. Everything was very clean and polished bright. The bathrooms are so cool and clean it feels like your in a Spa. You can't beat the location and the price was amazing. You could stay in the other dumps in the area for far more. I highly recommend the Arora Hotel to everyone. The only one thing I think is that internet should be free in the rooms instead of the lobby. When you have to arrange the rest of your trip I would like to do it in the comfort of the fabulous room. Thanks to all the staff they were amazing.

We stayed at the Arora the night before flying off on our summer holiday as we had a very early flight to catch. Having researched all options from Airport parking to Park and Fly deals, the most economical option for us was to book a train to Crawley which was incredibly cheap having booked in advance with the train operator, and then stay at the Arora which offers a regular and extremely good value shuttle bus direct to London Gatwick. On arriving at Crawley train station, all we had to do was walk to the end of the platform where Arora Hotel had a private entrance. Everything was just so easy. The reception entrance and lounge area is impressive and most deserving of it's 4star. The welcome was both warm and informative and we booked our shuttle bus to Gatwick airport for the early hours of 4.45am which was their first bus of the day. The glass elevators are a nice feature and great for people watching when relaxing in the lounge on Arora's collection of comfortable and stylish seating. Our room was nicely furnished and very clean. From the moment we arrived, our overnight stay at the Arora helped ease us into our holiday. We used the steam room and jacuzzi which was a nice little treat. It's only a small leisure facility but nonetheless it was a nice thing to be able to do before our trip. We ventured out to Crawley to grab some last minute essentials for our holiday but we'd recommend only going into the town if you absolutely have to as it's pretty bleak and the hotel is like an oasis amidst a grey concrete town. We opted to dine at the hotel, of which there was a choice of 3 places to eat; their own pub with a pool table and the usual pub grub, the 24 hour cafe located in the lounge which had a good choice and then an Italian restaurant. We went for the Italian restaurant which was very pleasant with very friendly staff. Prices were perhaps a little more than your average Italian restaurant but it was worth it for the pure ease of not having to venture ou

I needed a hotel close to London Gatwick due to an early morning flight -- The hotel does not have FREE WIFI ,you have to request 'complementary' vouchers at the front desk . The onsite restaurant is a joke, it has been years since I had such a horrible meal and extremely poor service. Honestly, skip dinner if you are thinking about eating at that restaurant Springs on my bed were pushing out of the mattress on its side, I could not believe it -- I felt the beds must bee like 100 years old. For the amount of money I paid, I felt this was not acceptable. The hotel was quiet and clean, rooms on the larger side but who cares. Give me a good restaurant, a good bed and cut my room size in half any day I will be looking for a different hotel next time

The hotel is very grand inside and convenient, next to the train station. This was my first stay but i have already booked my next stay again. The checkout time at 10am is too early. I do not see why it can't be 12pm as with other hotel around the area.

This was a beautiful hotel, the only thing was it states that they have a Sauna, but it clearly hasnt. The food was a bit on the expensive side. But the Hotel in general was top class.

If you're flying out early it's perfect. Late night room service and a shuttle to the airport; what else could one ask for?

Very good hotel, modern, spacious with all the amenities that you`d expect or need and the staff I encountered were all very courteous and efficient. The only minor grumble I had was the quality of the tv signal and the minimal number of channels available.

The Arora was very accessible - took the train from Gatwick and the access is right off the platform. Great staff - very helpful from my first call (requesting shuttle, but Christian recommended the train - saved money and was a quick and easy option). Room was clean and comfy and , despite being on the side of the hotel facing the railway tracks, it was quiet and beds were great! Only disappointment was, being an expat who lives in the US now, I was hoping for some more traditional 'pub fare' at the onsite pub... Free wifi in the very comfortable atrium was a bonus. Would highly recommend for a hassle free check in, comfortable and immaculate room, easy commute to Gatwick Airport and for the outstanding staff - friendly and efficient!.

The Arora Hotel is located at a train stop and has a car rental agency on site. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a small refrigerator, coffee and tea service, and most of the other types of amenities US travelers find at home. Bath linens were sparse, as there were no face cloths, two large bath towels, and only one small hand towel for the two of us. There was a small shower and separate bathtub. The food was expensive. There is a charge to park and a charge to use the Internet. These charges added up, as we were staying for the week. When I called to ask about these extra fees, I was told that someone would get in touch with me later, but no one did. Service was not particularly friendly. They take better care of their facilities than they do of their guests. It's hard to find a perfect mix.

A most enjoyable stay and will definitely stay here again on my next visit

The staff at the Arora Hotel were very pleasant and helpful at all times. We found the room very spacious, clean and tidy and the superior room was perfect as a family room and would recommend it to anyone with children. The food in the main restuarant was lovely and there was a great choice.

Convenient access from rail station with special signage. Courteous & efficient checkin & reasonable cost shuttle to airport.

Excellent value - close to the airport, train station behind the hotel and decent shopping across the street. We chose this property while visting with friends in various parts of London and found it to be the perfect 'home base'. The hotel and restaurants/bars are deserving of their 4 star rating.

The hotel is in excellent location to LGW airport. However the transportation promise does not stand true, as I called in the morning for afternoon pickup I was told to take the local bus as no driver was available, no refund was given for bus or taxi. I was promised a superior room with Queensize bed as well as separate sitting area and pullout sofa. Upon my arrival I was told, no such room existed and I received a regular room and no refund for having paid for a superior room, no apologies were given. All-in-all the service is less than satisfactory however the hotel itself is very clean/pleasant, rooms are comfy, roomy facilities all the way around. If they could just get their facts on the net straight then at least we know what to expect and not have unpleasant surprises. I just like to being told what I am going to get for my money

We went there for a meeting. Very nice and comfortable hotel. Good food in the Italian restaurant.

Very long wait at check-in - it must come as a surprise to the hotel that people want to check-in! Otherwise, a comfortable hotel. Restaurant staff a bit confused, but friendly enough - but BEWARE - a 10% tip is automatically added to the restaurant bill. Air-conditioning in the room wouldn't go below 25 deg. C - a tad warm for our liking.

This hotel is ok. spacious room. perfect condition. Clean. however, they charge for everything: Internet is expensive, breakfast , shuttle... hotel restaurant is expensive (better go to the pub). Many nice cheaper hotels in London area give all these things for free. In summary.: nice hotel but expensive extra services.

I have stayed at the Arora many times and each time it is consistently clean and comfortable with a very competent staff. The location is very convenient to town center and the train line to Central London and other points south.

The collection from the airport and return the following morning was efficient and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The gym facilities were good and the staff helpful. The service at the bar and restaurant could be better. Overall a pleasant but short stay! Would I stay again - Yes.

The location for this hotel is ideal for anyone who's not traveling with a car during their stay. Crawley train station is literally a stone throw away from the hotel entrance! There's a shopping center in the area with enough stores to entertain you for at least a whole afternoon. I had a friend drive me to Gatwick airport from this hotel, and it took less than 15 minutes to get there. For those who are taking the train to the airport - Gatwick airport is only 2 train stations away from Crawley station. Big plus on cleanliness of the room and a nice bathroom with both standing shower and bathtub. I also like the fact that you need your hotel room key to be able to use the elevators up to your room - it feels safer, however if you're expecting company you actually have to meet with them in the lobby. Will definately stay at this hotel again next time I fly from Gatwick. Well recommended, go for it!

This was my third stay at The Arora. Again, I was not disappointed. The staff were friendly and very efficient. My room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable and shower worked very well. Check out the next morning was just as easy. The hotel provided exactly what I needed for an easy overnight stay. The only minor difficulty was getting the one pound coins in the car park pay machine. But that was the only negative about my stay. My stay was a great experience and no doubt I'll be staying there again in the future.

Train station out the back door of the hotel and 40 Minute train trip to London. Large shopping centre behind the station.

Great place to stay. The room was immaculate. Service was excellent and the shuttle to Gatwick got us to the airport at the time promised.

Really great hotel - modern, clean, comfortable at a great price - hotel can be entered directly from the railway platform but this is not clear from the info on the website - for travelers using rail passes this is a great bargain near Gatewick - just two train stops down the line (at no cost with your rail pass) and much cheaper than comparable hotels at the airport - really nice place.

This was our second stay at the Arora and as before was outstanding in every way. Beautiful hotel with an outstanding staff. When coming back to the London area we will look to stay at the Arora.
