Hotel Rex - روما

This hotel is very close (2 min walking) to Termini Station, and also to Coliseum and Piazza Venezia (10 min walking). Our room was quite big,with very high roof and a big and confortable bed. Nice desk service. Normal breakfast but without hot food and the coffee is horrible unless you paid a capucchino. They close the door at midnight

Good loacation, clean rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast simple but good enough.

I was pleasantly surprised at how cosy Hotel Rex was, with a nice computer area and a kids corner, as well as a stylish bar and restaurant. I didn't get chance to have dinner at the hotel, but the breakfast was very nice! My room was small but as I was by myself, it didn't matter too much. The bed was comfortable and it was completely silent at night, which suited me! Would stay again.

Pleasant stay. Very convenient to everything. It was good to relax there after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The bathroom could do better with more places to hang things, especially if they encourage to reuse your towels. No where to hang dry them...

A nice and friendly hotel, but definitely not a four star hotel the way I expected it would be. A thre star denomination would be more accurate. The breakfast room in the cellar was as in a two star hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the staff were very friendly and hotel was very clean. It was also in a very good location.

The hotel is just a short walk away from Rome Termini Station and also metro stations Termini and Republica. Good bus routes are also available. Facilities are nice and clean and we would definitely consider this place if travel back to italy.

My hotel stay at Rex was fantastic. Really good service, good cleaning, smiling staff and was placed near Termini, but in a more quiet, safe neighbourhood. It took about 5-7 minutes to get to termini. All round - really good Hotel. Absolutely recommendable.

Pros: very helpful reception . Amazing location. Decent breakfast. Cons: rooms are way too dark, the toilets a bit old for a 4 star hotel ( even by European standard), locker wasn't working ( but got someone to fix it )

The staff of Hotel Rex was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location is good, very close to the Termini train station and for us (young couple) all the main sights of Rome were within walking distance. The room was spacious and clean. We were sleeping in a street-side room, but it was very quite. However, the room looked a bit worn and old. The furniture, floor, etc looked like it could use an update. The only thing that bothered us was the bed. The matrasses were really to old and had taken the shape of all the guests before us (deep hole in the middle). Overall we had a very nice stay at Hotel Rex and would recommend it.

This was a great place to stay. Nice size room, large bathroom. Great size bathroom for us large Americans. The room was clean and very comfortable. Although some of the fixtures were dated everything was clean, in great working order and problem free. The free breakfast was ok, yes it could have been better but, I could have also been required to pay for it. Hotel REX rocks! Although I only stayed in this hotel for one night I moved to a "better, four star hotel" around the corner for the rest of my stay here in Rome. Better is not always better. To compare the two places would be unfair because Hotel REX beats this second upscale hotel in so many ways. Hotel REX has GREAT personal customer service. The other hotel not so much...

We stayed in Hotel Rex in Rome for 4 nights, during our "mother-son (13-years)" holidays. Our stay was very pleasant and the hotel for our need almost perfect. The quality compared to the price was ok. Four stars aren´t the same in every country I did know it when booking the hotel. The location was perfect, we walked everywhere and never felt us unsafe in the area where the hotel was located. Our room was quiet and clean, the furniture and bathroom a bit old and used but ok. The staff was very helpfull and friendly. For a 13-year son it was a nice surprise to have Playstation and games free of charge in our own room even though he didn´t have so much time to play. Breakfast was ok, to be perfect it would have been nice to have some fresh fruits, but no problem. Access to metro and main railwaystation was very easy, we walked in 5minutes from/to the station where we took the express-train from/ to the airport (30min).Very easy and ecological way of reaching the airport and the city center of Rome. We did enjoy our stay in Rome a lot! The helpfull staff of the hotel gave us very good tips as well! Thanks!

I was checking the bad reviews, I found them all absent in the hotel stay. All the staffs, regardless male or female, were very helpful. Internet and hot water both were very good. Everything were excellent.

We stayed for four nights in Rex, no electricity and no hot water. The carpet in room is really dirty!! I don't think the hotel Rex does not vaccum the carpet. I absolutely do not recommend hotel Rex!!!! Terrible hotel!!!

Staff very welcoming and helpful. They spoke english very well .The breakfast is a must, simple but filled you for the morning to go sightseeing. The staff at breakfast time were a delight . We would go back here again if in Rome.Near to the train station also.

We loved this hotel. It was located within walking distance of the Termini station and was so convenient to incredible restaurants. The breakfast in the mornings was WONDERFUL and a great introduction to my first real morning in Rome. We would definitely stay here again. So glad I found it through your site....since I had NO idea where to begin.

Pros: - Great location near Roma Termini Station - About 15 minutes walk to the Colosseum and Spanish Steps. - Adequate breakfast - Free Wifi Cons: - Small rooms - Water heater system not working correctly (Possibly due to the flood on Oct. 20, 2011) - Odor in room (Same reason as above) Overall, the hotel is decent but not exceptionally great. I would recommend it if you believe the rates are good.

I booked Hotel Rex for its convenience to the train station (about a 5 minute walk). It's a very good European hotel. Clean, comfortable and a great staff. And it was reasonably priced. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Coloseum and about 10 minutes from Spanish Steps/Trevi fountain... but most everywhere else in the city... Piazza Navona, Vatican, etc... is a good hike or a cab ride away. There are some restaurants nearby, but most of the best ones are in surrounding neighborhoods. BUT... we didn't mind the walking to and from the various sites and liked not being surrounded by tourists. Took a cab one night for dinner to the Pantheon area... cost about 10 -12 euro... but worth it to stay in a quieter, less hectic part of town. So, if you're just stopping in Rome for a couple days and want the convenience of being near the train station, it's perfect. If you want to be in the middle of all the "action", then you may want to look around.

We stayed in Hotel Rex, it was the best idea ever! The location is easy. You might not know the city very well, but you can still come home easily without any troubles. Lots of buses go to Termini, which is the main station in Roma. The area is quiet and closed to all of the tourist attractions. The hotel itself is very safe and clean. it is not big but so charming. The breakfast is so good, it helps you save some money and time.

We stayed at Hotel Rex for one night in mid August, the location suited us as we needed to catch a train to the airport. Hotel staff were very friendly on check-in and most helpful with any questions we had. I was quite impressed with quality of the room for the money we payed (having recently had some bad hotel experiences in Rome). The room and bathroom were very clean. I would stay at this hotel again.

Great breakfast - amazing choices of eggs, vegetable tarts every day + fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee choices, nice jams, breads, pastries, juices, cereals + meat and cheese. Convenient Location - close to Termini and Repubblica, buses, shopping, etc. Very helpful staff - called another hotel on skype for me when I was trying to reach someone and my cell phone wasn't working. Gave directions to post office, camera store, mac store, etc. Only downside - Air conditioning even on high did not keep the room cool. They were doing remodeling, but it wasn't bothersome at all. Super cute kids and sitting area.

Hotel Rex is only a short walk from Rome's main train and metro station as well as some decent restaurants. Our room (a triple) was on the small side and the bathroom in particular was cramped. The room and entire hotel was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was very good and the included wireless internet was fast and reliable. Best of all, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a pleasant stay and a good value.

Location was convenient (but not a good neighborhood), breakfast was above average, shower was broken and barely worked.

Enjoyable experience. Pros: Moderately priced. Clean. Great breakfast. Close to Termini (can walk with suitcases) but far enough to feel secure. Refer in room. Cons: Bathroom venting odor (typical for Rome) just open the window. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped us get reservations for the Borghese gallery (no charge) the only place we didn't prebook. Get a Roma pass to travel the city buses and subways endllessly and get discounts to the major sites. Prebook the Vatican (no discounts) and all major sites on line before you go so you don't have to wait in the very long lines. We were able to walk past everyone with our reservations, just be on time for your appt! Enjoy The Rex as your homebase.

Hotel Rex is handy to Rome's main train station, yet far enough from the sleazy areas that we are used to that surround large city train stations. Ideal hotel if you are short of time, i.e. arriving by bus or train into Rome for a few days. Tourist buses also leave from just round the corner. Handy also for local buses, at the train station, that can take you all over the city relatively cheaply. The room we stayed in at the hotel was fine, though bedroom a bit small, but everything we needed. Lovely rooftop terrace to relax after a hard day's sight-seeing. Great breakfast room, and I suppose worth it at €10 per head. Can't think of anything really to complain about- and normally I will always find something! (Maybe the bathroom suite could be updated I suppose!)

Vores næstsidste dag på Hotel Rex i Rom blev spoleret af et tyveri. Et tyveri på vores værelse til og med! Min pung lå på bordet, da vi gik til morgenmad, men da vi returnerede, var den væk. Vi endevendte naturligvis værelset, inden jeg kontaktede receptionen, der imidlertid ikke var synderligt hjælpsomme. Det lod til, at de ikke troede på tyveriet - ihvertfald foretog de sig ingenting. Intet overhovedet. Derfor; Lad aldrig dine værdigenstande ligge fremme på hotelværelset, hvis du skal bo på Hotel Rex i Rom.

Fint hotel. Ok værelse. Rene håndklæder hver dag. receptionen kunne dog være lidt mere opdateret på begivenheder i Rom. De oplyste, at alle forretninger var lukket 25/4 p.g.a. helligdag. Dette var absolut ikk tilfældet.Ellers søde og venlige.

Ystävällinen henkilökunta, siisti huone. Ainoa miinus huoneen sijainti hissin ja porraskäytävän vieressä, varhain aamulla henkilökunnan äänet kaikuivat rapussa. Muutoin öisin hyvin hiljainen. Sijainti erinomainen, lähellä Terminiä.

空港からレオナルドエキスプレスで移動し、ローマからフィレンツェに移動する時に利用しました。 電車移動がメインだったので、テルミニ駅近くは便利でした。 ホテルも、通りに入れば看板が見えるので見つけやすいです。 ちょっと歩いた所にはレストラン、スーパーもあり、利便性が良かったです。 朝食もまあ、って感じでしたが悪くなかったです。 口コミにあった愛想の無い日本人フロントには会いませんでしたが、とても感じの良い人ばかりでした。チェックインの時には、近隣マップで説明をして貰えます。 喫煙所は、ホテル内のバルコニーにあります。 WiFiも簡単に使えました。 凄くオススメする点はありませんが、悪かった点も無いので、安く滞在するには良いホテルだったと思います。

1.Το αρχικο δωματιο που ειχε κλειστει ήταν σχεδον ημιυπογειο με θεα το φωταγωγο παροτι ειχε εξαρχης ζητηθει (4 εβδομαδες πριν δωματιο με εξωτερικη θεα) 2. Πολυ ακριβη η διαφορα αλλαγης δωματιου σε superior με θεα. 3. Το δωματιο δεν ανταποκρινοταν σε παροχες superior (το υπερδιπλο στρωμα ηταν 2 ημιδιπλα καλυμενα με το ιδιο κατοσεντονο, τα εξτρα ροφηματα φακελακια καφε που βρισκοντουσαν στο δωματιο χρεωθηκαν τελικα στο λογαριασμο) 4 . το ξενοδοχειο βρισκεται κοντα σε σταθμο μετρο αλλα οχι και κοντα στο εμπορικο κεντρο της πολης 5. Οι υπαλληλοι παρα ταυτα ηταν αρκετα φιλικοι και εξυπηρετικοι.

Este hotel nos dejo un muy buen sabor de boca, muy limpio y cómodo. La atención del personal excelente. Cuando llegas te explican las cosas mas importantes que ver en Roma y te ofrecen su ayuda. Dispone de wifi gratis, playstation 2 en la habitación, ordenador para acceder a internet e impresora gratis. Esta a 5 minutos andando desde la estación Termini. La única pega que le puedo poner, es que la habitación que me toco era muy pequeña pero para el tiempo que pase, me sobro.
