this hotel was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well located for all the sights and good restaurants. staff were efficient and breakfast was of a high quality. i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Florence.

A great old style hotel in a wonderful area close to all the major sights. The conceirge gave many wonderful recommendations for meals. All the staff were helpful and many spoke English.The hotel would benefit from an upgrade to more modern linens, towels and furnishings but especially needs good wireless service throughout. The wireless was down more than it was up which became quite frustrating at times.

Great location in the heart of Florence. Staff there pleasant and helpful.

The location was fabulous and the staff was very accommodating. Our room overlooked the river and my only complaint was the bedroom needed updating. Breakfast was worth it.

Great location close to all main sights - can't be beaten. Breakfast first rate. Room comfortable but if you can afford it go for river view room as our friends did. Hotel staff helpful and professional. We had a lovely few days.

Excellent hotel. Stunning location 5 minutes walk from the Uffizi. We paid extra for a room overlooking the river and it was well worth it. We were able to relax looking at the Ponte Vecchio with a glass of chilled wine in our hands - what more could one wish for?

Proximity to ponte vecchio and the santa maria novella station, clean room, great staff, great breakfast buffet and the river Arno right at your doorstep. My stay couldn't have been better.

Over all, it was a very good experience. We like the room and its decoration. We like the hotel service and we like the location and its surroundings. Everything, shops, restaurants and places we wanted to visit are within walking distance. We specially liked the breakfast they provided. Perfect!

The staff here was excellent. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. Breakfast was nice and every morning they will make you a capuccino or espresso. Excellent location walking distance to everywhere. Ask for a river view it is nice to look out your window and see the river/city. Patricio B. at the front desk was especially wonderful-always a kind smile and very helpful. We will be back for sure!! Thank you everyone at the Hotel Berchielli !!

My reservation had been " confirmed and paid in full" when I booked, about 2 weeks before my visit. However, upon checking out, hotel charged us EXTRA taxes. When questioned, they said that these had been put into effect 2 months ago.They wouldn't accept my print -out showing my 2 week previous date of booking a " paid- in full reservation".

The Hotel Berchieilli was very nice, and very clean, located on the Arno river a block from the Ponte Vecchio. The staff was very professional. Breakfast was excellent in a beautifully decorated room with real silverware and silver coffee pots. The waiters all had on matching suits with bow ties. A very enjoyable stay in an excellent area of Florence that was convenient to all the sights you care to see. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with confidence. This was my favorite hotel of 5 hotels I stayed in on my trip to Europe.

This beautiful hotel was a perfect start to our vacation in Italy. The central location was not only picturesque, but convenient to all the sights within walking distance. The breakfast there was the best we had in Italy! The staff was helpful, too.

A very nice hotel, clean, and good service. A little to warm in the room, and by opening the windows al lttle to noisy. 15 min walk from the central station.

This hotel is in a very nice location and the lobby area is very nice. There is a cute little lounge area to have snacks/drinks/tea upon request. The breakfast is fantastic! BUT, if you want a quiet hotel, this is not the place. It is one of the noisiest locations in the city! I changed rooms, but it really didn't help.

Super hotel in best location by River. Wonderful breakfast and lgood roof terrace. No restaurant or large lounge but all of Florence on your doorstep. Highly recommended and we would stay again.

This was an amazing hotel with a perfect view!

This was our third stay at the Hotel Berchielli in Florence. The location is on the Arno River and very convenient to all the attractions in the city. Our room was well maintained and overlooked the Arno. The staff is extremely friendly, offered wonderful dining suggestions and knows the less traveled sites in Florence. I would highly recommend this hotel and will return there on my next visit to Florence.

Well located hotel with spacious rooms. Overall, this hotel is of a good standard but was let down by the quality of the front desk staff. They were frequently inattentive and not particularly responsive.

Perfect location, fabulous room and very good service. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel was great with securing reservations both for dinner and for the museums. We totally enjoyed ourselves. We would stay at The Berchielli anytime we travel again to Florence and would highly recommend.

We loved our stay. The rooms were comfortable, we had a beautiful view of the Arno and the location could not be beat. Breakfast was great, and the front desk gave us some super dinner recommendations.

Our primary reason for being in Florence was to visit the major museums and the Berchielli is in a convenient location. A plus is the "back door" that avoids the traffic and narrow sidewalk on Lunga Arno and offers quick access to restaurants and shopping.

The staff worked directly with Alitalia airlines to help us recover lost baggage. The location is an easy 12 minute walk from the train station and just minutes from shopping. The breakfast was excellent.

This hotel is perfectly situated overlooking the river and adjacent to Pont di Vecchio. The breakfast is delicious, the staff gracious, and the rooms well-appointed. We had never been to Florence and choose the hotel online because it was well-priced & seemed to be well-situated. We were thrilled with out selection and would recommend it highly to anyone visiting this beautiful city!

Highly recommended to Families. Great customer service and breakfast spread is enormous. Location on the Arno river, Close proximity (within 10 mins walking distance) to all the major sights in beautiful Florence . Staff is extremely helpful and recommend great places to eat where locals go.

Greeted as we walked in the door. Staff wonderful. Place is really nice. Great location - one block from Ponte Verde. Only two minor issues - wifi in room worked only occasionally and only on one device and there was only one iron for the whole hotel so we had to walk around pretty wrinkly. Things I can live with and we would definitely stay here again!

The Good: -Location is Amazing, less than a block from Ponte Vecchio (spelling?) -Good Breakfast -Small but functional room The Bad: -About the worst service I have ever had at a hotel. Long waits to speak with someone at the desk even when there are free staff members. Was given wrong info about some popular tourist sites.

Our arrival in Florence was after a stressful bout of train connection issues and travel challenges. We were welcomed by the front desk personnel and immediately escorted to our room. The hotel room was elegantly appointed and by far the most comfortable of our eleven day tour of Italy. The breakfast buffet was a superior mix of traditional Italian favorites such as prosciutto and cheeses, along with scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruits, and pastries. The service was efficient and pleasant without being overly intrusive. The multilingual hotel staff was always smiling and helpful. Highly recommended!!

First trip to Firenze, made reservation on line, this hotel exceeded every expection we had. We had a party of 9 and had three (3) rooms on the 6th floor (2 story room with walk out balconies). Incredibly maintained and luxurious. Location was just right (next to Ponte Vecchio), we were able to walk everywhere comfortably. Hotel staff made most restaurant recommendations and every one was outstanding. At the end of each day we ejoyed the lobby bar for a few apertifs prior to dinner. Staff was always eager to help and make our trip most comfortable. One of our favorite all time Hotels! Grazie Albergo Berchielli, coltiva la prossimo volta!

Very Good Hotel for the money. Like many hotels in Europe, the bed and the shower were not great, but everything else was very, very good. The location is convenient to everything. I strongly recommend.

Great hotel, great location. The rooms are a little tight.

A very hefty price tag such as this should garner you an exceptional hotel stay, and this place delivered. After a week at a wonderful Tuscan villa, my husband and I bade our family good bye and treated ourselves to a splurge night in Florence. I requested a room on the Arno, and the view of the river and Ponte Vecchio was sublime. So sublime that I did not want to leave my room, after hiking up and down the Tuscan hill towns, and a day trip with family to Florence the day before for sightseeing and the Ufizzi. I sat for hours just enjoying it! The room was not large, but ample, very comfortable, and quite elegant, and the bathroom was gorgeous. The hotel is within walking distance to many of the famous sites. I would also recommend a lunch place right across the river from hotel Ristorante on the terrace Borgo San Jacapo where we sat by the water and enjoyed a delicious, relaxing summer repast along with Fashionistas in town for a shoot. In 1962, I toured Europe with two best friends, and believe it or not the hotel back then was listed in the "Europe on $5 a day!" Clearly it has had a tremendous makeover since then!

We just returned from a trip to Florence, Venice, and Rome and this was by far our favorite hotel! You've gotta love a hotel that writes "Buongiorno" in chocolate on the top of your cappucino at breakfast!! The location was perfect--an easy walk to anywhere you wanted to go. The staff recommended a restaurant around the corner that we went to twice because it was so good. The hotel also has a delightful rooftop terrace where we drank wine in the evening. We didn't want to leave!

Hotel was in good location and had nice breakfast. Hotel desk staff did bare minimum at best. Just nova friendly place so be advised.

The hotel is perfectly located in wonderful Florence. The staff (including the Bartender (who has been there for 11 years) were very helpful. Our room was near the street (really an alley) so it was a bit noisey. But all in all, prety perfect!

Our room was on the first floor by the river. It was a beautiful amazing view, though got a bit noisy from the street. Great breakfast. They made designs in the cappuccinos. No problems. Excellent location a couple of blocks from the Ponte de Vecchio.

Great Location, easy walking distance to main areas in Florence. This was our third year in a row that we have stayed at this hotel.

This hotel has everything going for it. The location was terrific. Our room overlooked the Arno River, and we walked one block to the Ponte Vecchio. The staff was extremely helpful with every request. The breakfast buffet was superior, with fresh eggs, meats cheeses, yogurts, and breads. The room was large and very clean. The rooftop lounge was quiet and relaxing. I highly recommend this hotel

Good price for good location and generally well run hotel. No room service on arrival (despite arriving 20 mins before stated closure time) meant a late trip out to find food - but that's a minor point. Overall perfectly OK as a base.

Great hotel and location. We walked to everything we wanted to see in Florence. Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi are just minutes away by foot. Staff was very courteous at the front desk, we dealt with 3 or 4 different personnel at the front desk. All more than willing to help us. Booked reservations for hotels, helped us with a car rental. Great Service. Room was very clean and a nice size, more than adequate for 2 adults. We didnt have a view of the Arno River but im sure that would only add to the experience. We enjoyed the bar and breakfast at the hotel. Just a great place to spend your vacation. We went during winter and our room was very comfortable temperature wise and we didnt really run the heat.

Great location, short walk to the Duomo and other attraction. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and they had lots of choices. The only issue I had was the small tub and shower but i was not there for the bathroom accomidations. This hotel was awesome.

Hotel Berchielli has an excellent location, 1 minute away from Ponte Vecchio, and 5 minutes away from the Duomo. Staff was very friendly, rooms were spotless and newly renovated. The only downside was the choices at the breakfast, but unfortunately this is typical to all Italian hotels..

We have a wonderful room that overlooked the river. It was larger than most but the bed was hard (typical everywhere). The staff was just OK but acceptable. The bar guy was awesome!! The hotel was not quite in the middle of town but definitely close enough to walk most everywhere. I would stay here again.

We were on our honeymoon and upgraded to a river view suite. Fantastic view, very comfortable room (2 single beds pushed together though!?) and great location. Will go again!

Hotel staff were very accommodating, polite, and helpful. Room was spacious. Our room did not face Arno, but did have terrace with small view of Duomo capula. Hotel was easy walk to most of Firenze's sites.

this was our second stay at this hotel, the first time being over 4 years ago, but the place is just as good. beautiful views of the river, very centrally located, and a fantastic price for what you get. the breakfast is also very good and goes until 11am
