the lady at the front desk was nice but that was the only good thing. the shuttle was not available and had to wait for cab for an hour.the room was in the basement and it was horrible. not worth the money.

The hotel is shabby, the bathrooms are dirty. Some of the personnel are really rude. One of the main disadvantages is the hotel's location. No shuttles to the malls. They provide shuttles only to JFK airport only, and we,when arrived, had to call twice for a shuttle and wait ages for the shuttle to take us to the hotel.

close to the airport 3 minutes perfect but cable sucks!!!

I would be very nice to have a refridgerator in the room. Otherwise I was please with the place. One problem I had was finding the place, you need a better display of the hotel.

Noisy. Trucking and school bus service station outside my room windows. Each morning at 6 a.m. bright lights were on and motors running. One morning one of the truckers blew horn (3X) before 7 a.m. Another time room service was forgotten -- had to request at 9 p.m. upon return. No restaurant or hot food services available on premises. Cold breakfast.

The location is perfect 5 minutes from JFK...however there are very little ammenities plus they have no cable

It was okay, I was looking for location inexpensive at that...but they are missing many amenities and there is no cable

The only good thing I can say is that the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. And the proximity to JFK was convenient. The rest of the experience was awful. I was a bit nervous about the surrounding neighborhood. The rooms are outdated and filthy. And the continental breakfast consisted of cold cereal and a gallon of milk on the counter. There was no juice, no fruit and did not even have a toaster. This was the worst paid money I ever spent.

If you are visiting Manahattan this is really too far out for convenience. The Neighborhood isn't great, not much to eat or do nearby. All we needed was a place to sleep and we were able to order food in. Breakfast in the morning was so-so.

Reading the reviews after i booked the hotel i was on the verge of cancelling my reservation. upon arriving at the hotel i was in awe of the room. the room was clean and well kept. the bathroom was extremely clean and the service was great. The hotel shuttle picked us up and drop us back to the airport on time and the staff was absolutely great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling and looking for a comfortable place to stay. This experience has taught me not to believe everything that you read!!!

The hotel has the perfect location for me since I commute. At 5 minutes from JFK its perfect. It is clean but there is very little ammenitiesThe only thing i'm not too happy about is their cable service, cable sucks big time....there is only a couple of channels. If you staying with your kids there is no cartoon channels. Their wifi is very good.

I stayed at this hotel because I was between trips and only needed a place to lie down and get 4-5 hours of sleep (rather than post up at the airport). The towels and sheets were clean and the water was hot and those are the only good things I have to say. The wallpaper was peeling, the bed was uncomfortable, the room was freezing all night (as if they shut off the heat at night or something), there was screaming from another room and then in the hallway (which I realized after a bit was the hotel staff yelling back and forth about who would do what). I was at the hotel from 10:30PM to 4:30AM and maybe slept half an hour. All I wanted was a clean bed and a shower so that I could sleep and I couldn't get a wink. When another woman on the morning shuttle mentioned that she didn't get any sleep due to screaming and the traffic outside, the hotel employee replied along the lines of "well we don't get any sleep either because we work late and then have to be up early to drive the shuttle..." So they don't get to sleep because they're running their business so we don't sleep either?

Need to fix showers. The pipes were hanging out.

We missed our plane in JFK airport-staying at JFK Inn was very convenient...free shuttle to airport. It was a comfortable stay.

No screens on the window and the wall paper was held up with thumbtacks!

Even though this hotel would not have been my first choice, I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel itself is pretty gross, but the room was clean. The sheets and pillow cases seemed brand new. The bathroom was clean but super dated. If they updated this place it would be great! The staff was super nice and the continental breakfast was good. fast free shuttle service to the airport was great. The price was great for a NYC hotel.

Hotel room was dirty and heat did not work in middle of winter. Bed linens were dirty, the room smelled terrible, and the toilet had been used but not flushed. I would never stay here again.

I did not like the area, the room was average at best, than they tried to charge me a smoking deposit which was never mentioned on the phone. Not to there was no face towels in the rooms, the walls are extremely thin, if I wanted to have someone else join my conversation I would have had them in our room. The wifi is only good for a select few rooms so why would you advertise free wifi as to make someone think you would be able to offer it to your customers. Now when told I needed another room because of hearing the people next door to me clear as day I was told that I would than have to go to a room with no wifi, and that is good customer service? This place needs to be downgrade, and the cost is outrageous I paid $120 for one night totally a rip off if you ask me, I would never tell anyone I know to go visit this establishment, sorry but it is the truth. Last but not least the continental breakfast was not good at all, I could have gotten better from Mc Donalds, they had rolls and bagels and orange juice and cereal but when I hear breakfast I expect this, but when I hear the word continental I expect to see what I am accustomed to seeing which is eggs toast bacon sausage french toast pancakes and fruit, which they had none of this, all in all it was just a big expensive disappointment, to sum it all up.

The bed linens in two rooms we were given had stains and the carpets smelled terrible. The heat did not work in the two rooms we were given!!! The outside temperature was 35 degrees farenheit. This hotel should never be recommended by your web site.

Very moderate compared to what I expected. Only good thing was I got a timely shuttle drop at 3:45 AM to the airport.

As an emergency stop due to a string of canceled flights, this was adequate. The amenities were sparse. A vending machine toothbrush helped, but don't expect any extras. The people were friendly. The facility was old but clean, and the shuttle ran on time. It worked for me.

Nasty

Unclean and not safe, my window was wide open when I returned to my room, I was on street level and no screens were in the windows. Staff was not nice and room and mattress very dirty. Would never stay there again- felt dirty even after a shower which was not clean either.

It was dirty,smelly furniture in the hallway. I was not sure if it was a hotel or a dump.

Given the prices in the area this is an option IF you are on a very low budget. Other than that skp and go somewhere else.

mold in first floor units, which is really below grade,got moved to third floor,room was not real clean. dated, stained furniture.dirty windows blocked my clear view of the trucking company outside my window, i heard trucks coming and going most of the night.

This was really a motel, and not a hotel, and that's just fine--we just needed a clean no-smoking place to stay so we could get to JFK early the next day for a flight out. It's always hard to pay that much for accomodations, but it's New York and we got to the airport on time, so overall we were satisfied. Plus it was cheaper than 4 airporter tickets, so definitely worth it.

Very apprehensive of the hotel based on first look. The price was extreme, understanding location, demand, time of year and booking thru a third party but to pay this amount for this type of room is outlandish. Despite that we had a somewhat comfortable stay and the anticipated noise level from the service road was tolerable. The staff at the front desk were anything but friendly, not they were unfriendly bit they did little to nothing to welcome us to the hotel.

Free continental breakfast had good range of offerings and coffee was good. Also offered computer use. Main complaint - neighborhood consisted of truck parking lots, and there was a lot of noise from trucks backing up all night.

Only stayed one night, very convenient for JFK and complimentary shuttle bus is a bonus.
