excellent value,only suggestion would be to have an entire wing smoke free as it was unpleasant walking past the smoker's rooms near our's.

My son and I weren't happy initially because the card we got first didn't work, and by the time we got a new one and got in and then unloaded the car, we couldn't find a list anywhere of a place to eat nearby. did some internet research, but that took time and then everything was closed so we were stuck with fast food. might be helpful to include that list for guests, along with hours of operation. but the room was clean and served its purpose!

I love having a fridge and microwave. room was clean

The breakfast wasnt great by any means and the place smelled funny however the room was very clean and the customer service was good

It was good, the Earthquake hit (in Maine) the evening we checked in. We did not know what it was until the next moring when we heard it on the news. We will always remember the super 8 because of it.

great, clean room. great service. no complaints!

Nice, clean room. Beds very uncomfortable and bath towels smelled funny. Overall good stay.

Just to stop for the night, it was very good, especially for the price. No odd smells, I hate so much in many cheap hotels.

It's a good place to stay if you're not looking for luxury, but just comfort and convenience. I would go there again if I ever needed to stay in the Southern Maine or Central New Hampshire area.

we enjoyed it greatly,especially clerk named Kendra.she was so cheerful,& helpful,she even directed us to a church that she attends.thank you so much,was a good time no problem suggesting the Super 8.keep up good work..

We wanted to be close to Ogunquit & Kennebunkport and this motel gives a really good value option for those places, about 12 miles from both, so if you have a car as we did it is fine. The drive into Ogunquit, Wells, Kennebunkport and the beaches is through lovely countryside also, which is an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Breakfast (which was included in our rate) is provded as a buffet, sometimes a bit crowded but very nice with a good selection and staff were alert and provided more supplies as bagels etc. were used up and they didn't stick too rigidly to times. Free wifi also. The staff were very pleasant in all cases and the room was very clean and comfortable and well serviced. The location is beside a small regional airport and there is also a big shopping centre behind the hotel with a large Walgreens and Lowes which was very convenient. There are some restaurants close to the motel, including a Weathervane restaurant advertised on the room keycards. This was nice but a bit pricey. I would thoroughly recommend the Super 8 Sanford Kennebunkport for anyone looking for a good value location close to Ogunquit, Wells, Kennebunkport and the beaches.

Perfect, but like most hotels I wish there was a reading light above the head board.

bed was in poor condition. breakfast was second rate

There is a Lowe's right behind the hotel and a Walmart next to it. A small airport across the street. The rooms are definitely tight. We had two adults and two children, plus luggage. We were tripping over each other. I'm glad we only stayed two nights. We searched for Kennebunkport area hotels. This was a little too far out than we wanted to be. It's about 25 minutes.

It was a great choice - although I had to stay too far from the beach in order to save money. The room was clean and well equipped with micro wave, mini fridge, good TV service, coffe pot and hair dryer. The staff were extremely polite and eager to serve.

We needed a one night stay in Portland & Biddeford areas and didn't want to spend a fortune. Was a bit leery about Super 8 but was pleasantly surprised. We had a nonsmoking room which was very clean and comfortable for our purposes. Although not a new hotel, we were happy with our choice. Beds were comfortable, which is important to us. My daughter and I are a bit spoiled having been in some very upscale condos through our time shares, but were satisfied with this Super 8. The owners/staff were excellent and very friendly. The only issue was that it was a bit of a ride west of Rt 95, but it was manageable. Having been out late, the GPS returned us to the hotel thru back roads and I wondered if we would ever get there in the fog. We slept through the breakfast time so did not try the free breakfast, but noticed a waffle maker! I would recommend this hotel. It seems like 1/2 of the building is for smoking and 1/2 is for non-smoking. We had a 2nd floor room and certainly noticed the smoke smell in the halls, but the room was fine. AC worked great, too. Will use this hotel again.

Pleasant. Room was clean. Practical and moderately priced. The location could have been closer to the ocean.

Nice place to stay. Construction on the road from I-95 made the traveling a bit rough. Hotel was nice and quiet. Easy access to walmart.

My girlfriend & I were very pleased with our stay at the Super 8. The front desk was very courteous. The room was small but ideal for the purpose of our visit. The hotel was clean and comfortable as was our room. The air conditioner was awesome and allowed us to set the temperature at a comfortable sleeping level. The bathroom was nice. The hot water from the basin faucet was a nice surprise. The shower could've had more water pressure but overall was nice. The TV is outdated with no auxiliary inputs for a dvd player or laptop. It was nice having a Walmart just behind the hotel but yet out of the way. The hotel supplied a complimentary continental breakfast every morning. What a treat to wake up between 6-9am and be able to get a wide variety of breakfast choices. I recommend bringing a small insulated tote bag for breakfast on the go. The eating area is small and is located across from the check-in counter. The staff was very attentive at keeping the breakfast area clean and restocked with fresh food. The ice machine is located on the first floor at the opposite end of check-in. We had plenty of parking behind the hotel so all was good there too. Checkout was a breeze. The location was nice. It was very easy to get to 95 N or S. Plenty of family oriented diners, restaurants, ice cream shops, etc. Overall, a nice place for the price if you plan on the 5-S's. Clean with helpful staff and free wifi. Not close to much except Walmart and Lowes but great if passing through.

The room was comfortable, but noisy. It was located between a highway and a huge Walmart/Loews, at an intersection with an airport accross the road. The only good thing about it was that it bas 15 minutes to Wells, beach in Maine.

The hotel was easy to find, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was also very friendly. The offer a small selection for breakfast of cereal, bagels and waffles that you make yourself, as well as fruit and yogurt. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby and shopping right next door if you need anything.

The staff was great and held our iPod we left.

Hotel was nice ,refrigerator ran most of the night,bed was very comfortable and hotel was quiet.breakfast is lite,just toast,muffins or cereal,good start to the day. Nice area to take 4 legged travel compaign for a good long walk .

We stayed here for part of the long weekend, as we were attending my daughter's soccer tournament in Sanford. When I booked there were only smoking rooms available, and honestly, my only complaint is that the room smelled badly of smoke. This was tempered by the fact that when we checked in the gentleman at the front desk gave us a can of Fabreeze for the room. He told us to spray the A/C filter and that it should help with the smoke smell (it really didn't, but we appreciated his efforts to help). I think the room had been closed up, because the smell disappated a little on the second day once the window had been left open. The first night was a little rough - we had the window wide open to help with the smell, and the Lowes right behind the motel was getting deliveries with big trucks during the overnight hours. And a group of guys (I speculated that it was a high school or college football team) walked loudly through the parking lot at 3am and woke us all up. We heard them all the way across the parking lot to Walmart, and then all the way back. The noise was a direct result of the open window, which was due to the smoke smell. Which frankly, when you rent a smoking room, it's just part of the deal. Overall very clean - both the room and the bathroom were very clean. The cleaning staff came by before we were ready on Saturday, we asked them to come back in an hour after we were gone and they did. The room was made up and we had fresh towels when we got back. I would definitely stay here again, but next time I'll make my reservation further in advance to ensure a non-smoking room.

Hotel meets the company standards, staff was friendly. I had to stay there for the location since I was meeting someone in Sanford. The beach in Wells is about 25 minutes away (plenty of hotels on route 1)

I loved staying there it was close to a walmart which my wife an I loved

Plain Jane. No view. Needs updated. Not a good atmosphere. Could hear people in next room easily. Room was clean, bed was uncomfortable. Staff not that friendly. Basic Breakfast in open lobby. Close to nearby Sanford, good places to eat in town.

one night as the region of Portland was sold out or far too expensive... the service was good, the room clean and confortable but some kids above my head was too noisy !!

We book this hotel by internet because it was pet friendly....but the catch is that you have to pay 15$ per animal...we had two small dogs that stayed in a cage.....Not only do you have to pay but the rules are that you cannot leave the pets in the room unattended.....it was 95 degrees outside...were we supposed to leave the dogs in the car while we ate in the restaurants or while visiting the Old Orchard fair along with thousands of other people. The best thing for the dogs was to leave them in an air-conditionned room with the TV on. So I say again what does pet-friendly mean? You're just as well not not saying anything and try to sneak them into tthe room.
