Super 8 Motel Front Royal - فرونت رويال

While the hotel walls are paper thin (way too easy to hear people closing doors or making any noise in the hallway) and we did not have a fridge in the room as expected (perhaps this was just for rooms with one bed), we definitely enjoyed our stay. This was a nice, relaxing area, but there were plenty of places nearby to eat, and within 45 minutes of some neat historical sites like the great battlefield tour we took at Manassas. We ended up 40 minutes from the Berryville, where our friend was getting married, when we originally thought we'd be much closer. We cannot recall if this was completely our own stupidity or the hotel claimed online to be close to Berryville. However, we did certainly enjoy our stay, and the receptionist (Karen) was a pleasure in helping us with anything that popped up, and was so sweet to our toddler.

The front desk was extremely pleasant, and knowagable about local directions. I would recommend this motel

great stay..good location...staff was very friendly

the hotel was a good price and was what i expected. the room was clean and the staff was helpful and freindly. I stayed on the 1st floor and the hallway was very smoking, i had a nonsmoking room but had fresh cigarette smoke in my room (coming from the hallway) my entire stay. this wasn't unbearable and i was only there about 12hrs. I did forget a jacket in my room and the front desk held it for me a few days until i could get back and get it. I really appreciated that!

The hotel was close to Skyline Drive and easy to access, but the hotel hallways reeked of stale cigarette smoke as did the stairways. I would not recommend this hotel for non-smokers. The breakfast was being changed but the staff was not sure what the breakfast included.

This is a dog friendly hotel. And except when one room of guests left their dogs in room to go to dinner and they barked the whole time, this is a very quiet hotel. Also, when in shower the tub floor creaks the whole time very loudly. But the rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient. Fridge and microwave in room a bonus. Plenty of parking. Convenient to pharmacy, grocery and shopping - easy access to and from hotel. Overall a good stay. The staff are super friendly.

We were looking for the least expensive "decent" place to stay. Super 8 was fine. Room was clean. Staff was extremely friendly. Location seemed pretty secure. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was 2 choices of cereal and bagels, english muffins or mini donuts. If looking for a decent inexpensive place, this is fine. If looking for something upscale, look elsewhere. Only downside was the hallway smelled of smoke, but the room definitely did not (thankfully). Our room had a refrigerator. I wasn't expecting that.

Reason selected: only one of two motels that accepted pets. Was charged and extra $10 a night for one small dog (in addition to what was previously paid to hotels.com and they would not take my credit card for payment - paid cash to the desk clerk. Amenities were very limited (no microwave, no refrigeration, no personal care items other than soap and shampoo). Asked for a shower cap and was given a plastic bag designed for the ice bucket. Would not stay here again nor recommend it to others.

Our stay was perfectly adequate for the money paid. The room was clean, but had a motel smell...pretty typical, not unbearable. The pillows were not too puffy or hard which was great! Liked that there were donuts, toast, coffee and juice in the morning. Front desk lady was funny.

the only problen was the bed not very confuritable. every thing else was grate.

It was fine for one night, but will not stay there agian because I am not a smoker and that was all you could smell.

The room was ok. Beds were kinda small and the covers barely fit. Continental breakfast was very lame. Doughnuts and bread with orange juice.

On - site laundry would really improve the facility

We were very happy with our stay. We have family near Front Royal so we will be visiting the area often. We will definitely stay at Super 8 again. Everything was great.

Most of the staff was rude. The hotel was old. Our shower when you stood in it made so much d*** noise! The bed was NOT comfortable neither were the pillows. The walls seemed as if they were made out of paper!! The neighbors made so much noise we were awaken in the middle of the night the first night. The second night couldn't go to sleep due to the noise!! We called and went to the front desk. They said they would check it out the first night and the second night we were told new people just checked in and give them time to settle in! By the way it was midnight. It messed up are whole trip since it was a get away from living in the city and having 6 kids! We just wanted a little get away and some rest! NEVER HAPPENED! Not a very clean place either and the breakfast if thats what you want to call it was YUCK! And the women cleaning was soo rude!!!! Telling us to move while we are making breakfast so she could clean. "She was told no by the way." This is the second stay at motel 8 and both stays where horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

General Location was OK but opposite was a 24 hr car wash which buzzed throughout the night. No ironing board. When asked for one received a ratty travelling board. How can they be so cheap. Room was not cleaned after second night. Breakfast toast, cereal, donuts, coffee and juices that's it. One sorry donut left after first day at 8:30 am. But hotel was cheap.

your staff is first rate!! the only complaints I have is: 1-the coffee maker in the room is not so cool-but the coffee coming out of it was!! need to put in real coffee makers-even the littel 4 cup ones-you can bolt them to the wall if you are afraid of losing them. 2-I was trying to sleep in a little one day and the noise-though not excessive-was prohibitative. You could hear every time the water was running in the other rooms. and every noise in the hall was heard. tthere seems to be no insulation in the walls or the door. other than that the stay was quiet good.

hotel location is good near to skyline drive... hotel rooms are not clean and has cockroaches... even the toilet was not that clean.. only good thing is the location if you want to stay for the night after a long drive...

The hotel was what we expected, nothing fancy, staff was very friendly. Overall room was fine and appeared clean. It was convenient to Skyline which we wanted. Continental breakfast was very poor, out of coffee, no bagels. Computer in the lobby for the guest use was a plus.

1: room had a unpleasant odor 2: main light burned out 3: very dated furniture 4: toilet was semi-clogged 5: tub was a poorly retrofitted insert that creaked loudly with every shift of weight 6: towels were paper-thin and stiff 7: tub drain much like the toilet 8: breakfast? What a joke

This was the first night stop of a 23 day road trip driving south along the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway. Hotel was very clean, really well located in the town for early morning access to the Skyline Drive next day. Obviously not a five star luxury hotel, but perfect for what we needed - a clean, safe bed for the night close to where we wanted to be. The town was small, but friendly and clean. several places to eat nearby.

Was very close to Skyline Caverns & Skyline Drive. Plenty of stores, gas stations, etc. Nothing fancy, just a place to sleep and shower. If you are looking for a great breakfast, forget it.

The bed was uncomfortable so it took me over 1 hour to fall asleep. The bathroom was relatively clean but small. I heard a train go by at around 12AM- that was irritating. The walls are thin so you can hear the noises coming from rooms around you. The free breakfast was very bare. The blanket I slept on was worn ragged- looks like it needed changing. Overall this place is dumpy, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The ONLY good thing about this hotel is that it's a cheap stayover before beginning a trek through nearby Shenandoah National Park. The maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. I could hear every move made by people staying in all surrounding rooms. You get what you pay for....

It was fine for our purposes of just getting a night's rest. OK for the price.

The staff was rude and because I used hotels.com refused to give me any receipts. There was no soap or shampoo in the room, the continental breakfast was doughnuts and coffe or cereal. The hotel was dirty, the air conditioner did not work correctly, the florescent light above the sink buzzed the entire time it was on.

I'd say it was a good 2 star hotel. I was basically satisfied with everything. The pillows were the worst of the whole trip though. Where do they get pillows like that?

Das Hotel ist kein Top-Hotel, aber dies kann man bei dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auch nicht erwarten. Es ist OK für die Übernachtung, wenn man in den Shenandoah Nationalpark möchte. Das Hotel liegt nur 5 Autominuten vom Nordeingang des Shenandoah National Park entfernt und ist ideal, wenn man morgens gleich in den Park fahren möchte.
