This was an inexpensive place to stay and worth the money.

good location, the price was good. if you're looking for a cheap place to stay in SD, then this is good

I checked in this hotel at around 345 p.m. and I checked out by 1030 p.m. Bad smell in the room. Hair dryer didn't work for my wife and when we pulled the sheets back there was body hairs all over the sheets. I should have kept driving.

King beds not available. All lower rooms under construction. Nothing on breakfast bar. Stay away. Terrible! !!!!

This was our worse stay ever, Air conditioners were not working, the sensor lights in the bathroom went out every few seconds inspite of being inside. When showering one had to come out and wave at the lights in the dark to turn them on.Lady at the reception was not at all helpful, for everything she would answer talk to the manager and he was not there.Breakfast room did not have water to drink, ironically they offered tea, how is one supposed to have tea without water??..this place sucks.

When getting to the hotel. I asked if we could have a first floor room. The hotel was unable to accommodate us do to the first floor being renovated for flood damage. Strike 1. Second, the pool was unavailable for reason unknown and it was drained. Strike 2, Thrid, the hotel was not serving breakfest, again for reason not given to us. Strike 3. I guess you get what you pay for. I just wish we would of called ahead to find out. We would of never stayed if we knew this before hand.

For a 2 night stay on the spur of the moment beach trip, I got what I paid for. The beds need replacing as well as the carpets. The bathroom was the only room that had a makeover complete with granite in the shower and sink counter-top. The linens were outdated but clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is minutes from the beaches, attractions and old town.

Nce room, breakfast is great, 10 minutes walk from Disneyland and good restaurants like "the cheesecake factory", Denys, tony Roma's...

For the reason I was there not that bad, needs a lil upkeeping. Was there to have some where to crash after a long day of partying. Would not recommend for families with children. But if u just need a place to get some shut eye while in the mission beach area, I would recommend it, only a $12 can ride to mission beach boardwalk.

Being that the hotel was behind a supermarket wasn't the best. The hotel room was a little run down but it did the job we needed. I probably would not stay here again. There were a few hotels across the street with a better location. If you needed just a cheap place to sleep then this would be good.

Probably the worst, dirtiest hotel room I've ever stayed in. There were stains on the ceiling, walls and carpet. Blood smear on the bathroom wall. We had a non-smoking room but we could smell smoke coming in through the vents. There was mold growing on the wall behind the mattresses. We got in late and could barely make it until morning to check out. We were supposed to stay 3 nights...barely made it for one.

The first thing my 4 year old said was "this room smells disgusting!" A fresh pint of strawberries completely molded in the refrigerator in less than 2 days! My son has allergies and all who stayed had difficulty breathing in this room. Pool was broken. Stay somewhere else.

The stay was generally fine. Some noisy children showed up the second night. I guess for the price I should not have been surprised, but, I had to pay by the minute to use the office computer to confirm my return flight!

I really enjoyed staying at Super 8. The location is great, one can walk to Old Town San Diego for some shopping, dining and taking a transit to almost anywhere ....

The hotel needs quite a bit of maintenance. The pool was closed down and no one said anything about it. Old fashioned polyester comforters, yuck! Check in was very fast that was good.

Noisy,traffic from strip mall. Homeless everywhere.

If all you're looking for is somewhere to sleep, this hotel fits the criteria. It's close to several beaches and the freeway which is convenient. The staff isn't very friendly or helpful.

Worst ever will never go back. Sofa's are old and smell. Beds are hard I was supposed to stay for 3 nights but I couldn't. Every moment I layed on the bed I got itchy I couldn't sleep beds were not comfortable. The room itself made me feel like I was in a ghetto apartment. But the bathroom is nice.

This place is old and needs a serious sprucing up and upgrading. Especially for the price of the rooms! Staff was friendly, located near the airport.

This hotel was below a 1 star rating but since the lowest is 1 star, that's what I gave it. The facility needs a total overhaul, very out dated. Our TV didn't even work! We stayed 1 night only (July 3, 2011) and that was 1 night too many. The manager is another story!! A continental breakfast was included if you call stale cereal and danishes a breakfast. The coffee was terrible too. Oh, and the pool was disgusting with algae in it. Do not stay at this facility unless you are desperate and can't find another place to stay.

I know it was a holiday wkend but it was way over priced. Older hotel. it was a 2 rm suite. Good enough for just sleeping. Except for me. Beds were way too hard. Pillow very soggie. Not enough towels and or blankets. Called front desk for them told me they were out or too lazy to check. Continental breakfast was a joke. Stale cereal with warm milk and hard danishes and that's it besides ur coffee n juice. Would only stay here if u don't mind the hard bed. Great location and just for someplace too crash I guess its ok. Oh yea. The pool is closed for the season.

This hotel does not offer any shuttle service to an from the airport and a cab ride is $15 each way. The room was way below what I think the Super 8 standard is (from my experience). Not worth the price when compared to other hotel chains in the area.

Got stuck in a "smoking room". They charge $15 more for "non smoking" (how does that make sense?) which I would have paid but they were full. Room had an awful stale odor. Made my head hurt. Air conditioner hardly worked. Furnishings were old and run down. Only 1/2 of tv stations actually worked. Bathroom was tiny with cheap "gas station" wall siding. Had trouble checking out in the morning because desk clerk disappeared.

Hyffsat läge men många restauranger. Nödvändigt med bil för att ta sig till hållplatsen för att åka trolley till downtown eller Mexico.Frukosten bestod av juice, flingor med mjölk, kaffe eller te samt smarriga wienerbröd :)

Aunque los alrededores son muy buenos, la ubicación detras de un centro comercial donde se recolecta la basura da muy mal aspecto al hotel. El personal de mantenimiento deja mucho que desear con su trabajo. Hay mucho ruido de los aviones por la cercania del aeropuerto y por los camiones recolectores de basura

Me parecio muy mal el servicio de uso de computadora e impresora del hotel, no hay ese servicio al cliente que otros tienen, en este hotel tienes que pagar por el servicio otros hoteles es parte del servicio al cliente y no lo cobran. Pienso que seria bueno que lo tuvieran gratis ya que la gran mayoria de los que nos hospedamos ahi somos viajeros por lo cercano al aeropuerto de San Diego.
