We had a nice trip, but when booking this hotel did not realize it catered to pets. Looked like a nice grooming spa to pamper your pet with, but felt weird staying there without a pet. Pretty clean for a pet hotel, but not as clean as a non-pet friendly hotel. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Enjoyed my stay, clean, 2nd time, no issues

Hotel was wonderful. We had an awesome view of the beach from our room on the 8th floor. Room was nice and very clean. Loved having a kitchenette in the room. Will definitely stay here again!

Loved everything. Would definitely go back. Although the staff was friendly they were a bit abrupt. Perfect spot on the beach. Wish they served breakfast. Great dog accomodations. Definitely would recommend.

Very nice hotel. I was worried a little after I made the booking because it was a pet friendly hotel but it was very nice and I never knew animals were even there!!

Very upset with hotel and management !!!! Never had clean towels ,wash clothes,rooms cleaned ,fresh linens on beds or trash cans cleaned. Had to go get fresh towels at front desk when needed for showering. Asked if room could be cleaned after 3 nights there and never had any sevices done !!!!!! Would not recommend to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay VERY MUCH. I was very unsure about the quality and cleanliness of the Hotel knowing it was "pet friendly".. however the Hotel was Clean, and the pet area was kept up and clean every time we went out. They even have a "doggie beach entrance", they even have a groomer on site. My only complaint is that I would've preferred the bigger room option, as we bring the dog crate with us for the dogs comfort, and the single room was a little snug while the crate was up.

loved it.. cant wait to go back

The hotel was nice, except the bed was not very comfortable and the hot tub and pools needed to be cleaned badly. Also we checked on a Sunday and they only had one working elevated working, so it took 30-45 minutes to get down stairs.

From the moment I opened the door, I KNEW it was going to be a bad stay. From the knock-down texture on every surface, to the insane amount of black grout (that wasn't supposed to be black). The check-in was unfortunate, Tiffanie behind the counter (OMG) worst customer service I have received in a hotel medium. We stayed for 3 nights, and the 2nd day the wi-fi was still very spotty, so I called down and of course Tiffanie answered, and again gave me major attitude. When we left for dinner that night they had put a guest with a very loud dog on our level, when we went down I said something, to who else but Tiffanie again. Her response, "Dogs will bark, ma'am". Wow! Really! I hope she knows that just because she says ma'am it doesn't make her sound any more polite. We stayed at Barefoot in October, and of course my sense of adventure popped its little head up and said, "stay somewhere else". We absolutely LOVED Barefoot. Their only saving grace was the lovely gentleman that checked us out - Now that was how we should have been treated the entire time. I was so taken back by how nice and helpful he was, I completely forgot to look at his name tag! Pros: Oceanfront, downtown MB, HVAC worked. Cons: Hot Tub was colder than pool, Beds and Pillows were HARD and Lumpy, Water Damage in Bathroom, Cleaning Personnel did not do their job either day they cleaned. Hope this helps, I always read the reviews before purchasing, and I have NO IDEA how this place had an Outstanding Review!!

All of the workers were very nice, made sure we had all that we needed for our stay! The hotel was VERY clean! The view was great, and it was the perfect location! Our Summer stay is already booked for August!

I have been to Myrtle Beach many times for golf vacations. This trip was just an overnight on the way home from Florida. The room was clean and quiet and everything worked. It was fine for the purpose.

Very happy with our stay. This is the second time for us. The room was very clean and the beds were rather comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful both times we've stayed. For this to be a pet friendly hotel it is cleaner and more comfortable than others we've stayed in. I would recommend my family and friends to stay here.

Building had to be evacuated at 12:30 am from a defective smoke detector. We never received an apology or explanatin of the problem. Had to call front desk to ask what happened. Was told it must of been caused from humidy, sensitive alarms to say the least.

I really enjoyed it. The receptionist was prompt and efficient, maybe not super friendly. The elevator was oddly freezing. But that's a minor detail. The door to our room unfortunately had a bit of a problem with closing and opening. The lock stuck so we had to really shove it to get it locked or unlocked. The view was great. The beds were very comfortable. The heater worked great. The bathroom was sizable, clean and pleasant.

Recently stayed at Ocean Park and I pleasantly pleased with the rate we received but I was disappointed by the out dated rooms. The rooms weren't nasty but I didn't get the relaxed, resort feeling I was hoping to receive on vacation. It's one of those "you pay for what you get" stays. The hotel is pet friendly this is a plus for families with pets, but as for me since I don't have any I was iffy about dogs being throughout the hotel.

Everything was excellent! Wish the pool could have stayed open longer! The room was great. The hair dryer was not working but everything else was great! Would love to stay again in the future God willing and bring my dogs.

The hotel was great. It wasn't too big, or too small, and even though it was an economy room, we still had a view of the beach. The only bad thing about the stay was that the bathtub wasn't properly cleaned. There was lots of sunscreen in the bottom of the tub that made it very slippery when we took a shower.

Clean and comfortable room. The hotel is on the beach, has both indoor and outdoor spas and pools. The manager and desk staff were were very helpful. I would definitely stay there again if I were to revisit the area.

We went during the off season and could not have been happier. We were allowed to check in early and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our balcony view was spectacular, we could see the town of Myrtle Beach and the ocean. We had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in our room. The pool, sauna, and hot tub were clean and very convenient. All in all, a wonderful experience for the very reasonable rate!

Value Priced - Ocean View - Friendly Employees - My car battery died and 4 employees offered to help me out without having to ask (Jumper cables, etc...)

Our experience was amazing. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Thank you for allowing our dog to stay as well. We will be back :)

This is not a 5 star hotel. But it perfect for what we want and what they offer. We go back again and again.

One of the few places that are pet friendly on the oceanfront. Overall pretty good. Front desk ppl were very friendly and polite. The housekeeper was really rude when I asked for clean sheets. Nice indoor pool (great in cold months) and jacuzzi. The have us a card to put in the lock to warn housekeeping/staff that a pet is inside. Our dog is a teacup size and we leave her out if her crate 24/7. Due to the sign we were given we assumed housekeeping would come in and clean being that she is not a menacing dog. Wrong, if your dog is not crated, they won't clean. So I guess if u leave in the morning your dog will have to be crated until whenever u return. :( but it was overall decent and clean, no smell. I'll stay again when I travel with the dog

We were only there for two days, but the hotel great. Checking in was easy, and the parking area wasn't crowded. The room and the bathroom was clean. And even though it was a room with a partial view of the beach, the view was still great.

It was a nice hotel I also liked that it was pet friendly. I would stay at this hotel again

It was terrible we checked out the next morning to a great place down the road. It had a leak in the sink in the bathroom with a puddle on the floor. It had claw marks and claws on the outside bedsheets. It was not clean in anyway and everything was in need of repair. I would never recomend this to anyone unless they had pets and needed a place for them.

Hotel was great! Staff was very hospitable only thing is, housekeeping was kinda slow to cleaning the room. I plan to go back in July and I just may stay there again.

We were very satisfied with the stay. The only thing we wish they would have offered was breakfast.

I enjoyed everything about the hotel. It's pet friendly and non-smoking, and when we had people smoking on the balcony below us and stinking up the room the staff took care of it. The only minor complaint I had was that the beds were extra firm and it was hard on the back. Other than that it was fine. The indoor pool was actually heated, the outdoor hot tube is huge and the fitness room was ok but a little small. We would definitely go back.

I have only 2 minor complaints about this hotel. The shower was slow to drain and it would have been nice if the pools and hot tubs would have been open 24 hours. Otherwise I was very satisfied with everything.

Very comfortable! All staff members from maintenance to front desk were all very nice and friendly. Loved the fact that there is a big outdoor pool (including a kiddie pool) a huge outdoor hot tub and another big indoor pool and another hot tub (indoors). The sun deck was a nice spot to relax too! We had a great time and we'd highly recommend Ocean Park Resort. Great job; we really enjoyed our stay.

Staff was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I would recommend for other family members and friends to stay at this hotel and I will greatly consider staying with you again.

I was in town for business for several days, and decided to stay on the beach instead of at a business hotel. I was under the impression that the resort was a bit more upscale than it turned out to be, although the beach and the pool were well-maintained and perfectly enjoyable. The room was standard-issue cheap hotel, with the addition of a small kitchenette - I didn't use the kitchenette, so I can't offer any insight to the details. The linens were worn, and the air conditioner was way too loud, although it did a fine job of cooling the room. There wasn't really a desk in the room, and the wi-fi was spotty at best. I got the impression that the hotel was well-staffed during the day, and ran on a skeleton crew at night - for instance, there was no security there to remove a drunk, naked man from the hot tub when complaints were registered. There was no bar or restaurant, and options in the immediate area were very limited - but again, thebeach was great...
