We got their early morning. They cleaned the room and let us check in early with no charge. We where also able to use internet and had breakfast before checking in. Restaurants, shops and grocery stores within 100 yards. Taxis are available right away, convenient from/to airport.

clean good hotel good location for indians staying close to veg restaurant

Very friendly and helpful staff. Once or twice I did ask for things from room service and not actually get them. While not that close to the centre of Dubai (about 25 minutes in a cab to the Marina etc.) the area was reasonable and there is a daily free bus to the top end of the Jumeirah Beach. There is a reasonably sized supermarket and chemist next door. Only real gripe was that internet was not included and was VERY pricey (about 50p a minute or 20 quid for 24 hours) and wired rather than wireless. I tried to use skype a couple of times and the speed and quality of the internet access was rubbish. I checked my emails and facebook probably three or four times a day, most times for less than 5 minutes, and ended up spending 800 AED in two weeks on internet time. There are three public access computers in the lobby, but the software was out of date and they were a bit unreliable (one wouldn't open facebook chat, another wouldn't display my email account in a way that allowed me to send an email). Also, you can only log on for 45 minutes at a time and they are all in the same room, so no chance of being able to skype etc. on them. Another small annoyance was that in staying here for two weeks I went up to my room twice and found that I couldn't get in and my card had to be re-scanned by reception. The rooftop pool was nice and the views of Dubai good from up there. Decor is a bit on the dated side, but the rooms were well equipped and of an excellent size and standard for the price. Overall, in view of the fact that you couldn't get a Travel Lodge room for the same price in UK, the hotel was excellent, and the gripes minor considering. Good base for someone like me who was moving out there and working, but probably not as convenient for anyone on a holiday. Cabs are quick and very cheap in Dubai, though, so not a bad option for the price (a cab to the marina today would cost between 10 and 12 pounds).

We were a couple traveling to dubai to see all that is worth seeing. the hotel was clean, with friendly and helpful staff, and for a good price. we were very happy. it's about 15 min in a cab to the beach and 20 min to get to downtown with dubai mall and burn khalifa. taxis are cheap, so the distance doesn't matter. if you are looking for a good place to stay for good value, then this is a great choice!

Our stay at Dar al sondos hotel apartment by le meridien was simply amazing. The cleanliness and comfort of the studio apartment was awesome. My wife and I enjoyed every minute of our stay. It was a complete 5* experience.

This hotel has all you need for a short stay and, if the kitchen was better equiped would also be suitable for a longer stay provided you could put up with the 15 minutes walk to the Metro. This was no problem in November temperatures but might be so in summer. Taking into account that the price is towards the lower end, this hotel represents reasonable value. I would stay there again.

How this got 4 stars is a puzzle. Its at the standard of a dilapidated dump

Great value for money......great service......cordial and very helpful staff........close to Burjuman Centre amongst several shops......and is located on a main street. I strongly recommend it especially for families. The studio apartments are perfect.

The management decided to close the pool 1 day (it is >40 C all summer) and offered free transportation to another related hotel to use their pool. Offering is quite different than providing though. It is like they are all marketing, no follow thru. Like pulling teeth to get them to provide the service they were to provide. Taxis are cheap enough regardless, but they have no integrity and will not do what they said they would do in a letter given to each guest that day. Terrible management !!!!!

I arrived at the hotel at about 4am. Received a warm and friendly greeting from duty manager (not just the weather), check-in took less than 3 minutes and my request for balcony room and top floor were met. None of the usual credit card and forms nonsense even when prepaid. Given a large bright clean, walls well soundproofed room with all the essentials, kitchenette, fridge, microwave, mini-bar (non-alcohol), breakfast bar, Washing machine, bath & shower, king-size bed, Satellite TV (including approx. 8 English speaking channels), room safe. slippers, robe and balcony. Complimentary newspaper and in-room magazines. Air-con works very well and silent enough to leaving running while sleeping. The communal areas are kept spotlessly clean and are in good condition. Reasonable size adult and kids’ swimming pool with enough sun-beds etc. Compact Gym, which I managed to avoid using during my stay. I did not have breakfast in the hotel on this occasion but have in the past which I found to be good with fair selection. For the 60 AED I prefer to use a local café or cook own. Hotel is about 10 minutes from the local bus station or same to nearest metro station which is 15 minute ride to the airport. Taxi to the metro is the minimum fee of 10 AED (£1.80). The location is in the heart of Bur Dubai and won’t be to everyone’s liking if expecting the glitzy beach front hotel but great for a more earthy Dubai and mixing with the locals. Location well served for shops, new large supermarket couple doors along and short bus (No 8) to Public Beach. Very relaxed hotel atmosphere. All staff are friendly and do go out-of-their-way to be helpful, especially cleaning staff around room cleaning times and stocking up water, coffee etc, Shower gel, mouth wash etc... Bedding and towels also changed daily without need to request. A few niggles. In-room Internet is expensive at maximum 99 AED (£17) (wouldn’t be so bad if could use the 24 hours over a number of days) per 24 hour or 2.45 AE

Would be recomended, it was a nice stay.

Stayed here for a week and was extremely happy with my stay. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is conveniently situated next to large supermarket and restaurants and not far fro metro services. Hotel room was very good size and had balcony as requested. One small gripe....get wi-fi!!!

We stayed at this hotel for three days. Very nice hotel and not expensive. Quiet well located in a quiet area, walking distance to the museum and the creek, within half an hour. Nice and helpfull staff. The pool area is nice and clean. We didn´t use the restaurant, but just across the street is a very good indian and chinese restaurant. We were in all very satisfied.

The price was excellent and all the facilities were in good condition with the staff very accomodating and friendly. Restaurant was a good deal and had a very nice and complete breakfast buffet. The neighborhood had plenty of stores if you wished to prepare your own food in the kitchen and there were a number of lounges within walking distance for evening entertainment.

hotel is situated at the heart of the city with easy access to every place, loved it!!

The hotel was very nice, clean and had comfortable rooms, situated in a nice area. There was no traffic etc. nose (at least to the room we I stayed in). Friendly and helpfull staff. The only thing I was surprised was that the water pressure in the bathroom was poor, and the sauna had luke warm (not really warm ) water in the showers.

Although the apartments are not located in a prime position and are some way from the metro, the major malls and the beaches, they offer excellent value and are comfortable with all the amenities you would need. Some of the fittings needed attention - loose shower rail and kitcken tap - and there was only the bare minimum of plates etc for self catering, but overall we were very pleased with our stay and all at a fraction you would pay for a beach hotel.

close to everything..service was great! definitely we'll come back and use this hotel..staff were great..management must give them an increase for the hardwork that they did..congratz that u have those staff that really boost the hotel's image.,

Bra lägenhetshotell med trevlig personal till ett bra pris.

Flott opphold. God service, hyggelige folk, kort avstand til alt. Betjeningen var svært behjelpelig. Vi følte oss hjemme og godt ivaretatt. Kommer gjerne igjen!

Hotel met ruime schone kamers welke als appartement zijn ingericht. Aparte verdiepingen voor rokers en niet rokers. Vele faciliteiten o.a. gym, zwembad, sauna, drop en pickup service naar het Jumeira strand. 24 uurs receptie en restaurant.

Vi var to veninner som var der og koset oss veldig. Hyggelige mennesker som jobber der og er til hjelp alle tider på dygnet. Rent og fint pool område. Eneste negative er vel at frokosten var dyr. Men det var en hel buffe, så det var en skikkelig god frokost! billig og ta taxi i fra hotellet og til byen. Ligger litt vanskelig til, men når du sier gate navn finner de det med en gang! Kommer absolut dra tilbake dit.

The hotel is a good 3-stars. Everything ok. A very reasonable price for 33 sqm in central Dubai. Near to shops, restaurants and Dubai Creek. 10 mins walk to the Metro and a big shopping mall. Recommended!

Hôtel bien situé avec une grande chambre. Cependant le mobilier (petit canapé) devrait être changé car usé. Déco un peu vieille. La salle de bain petite avec baignoire abimé, on se sent à l'étroit. Le service de chambre zéro!!!! le ménage très mal fait ou pas fait (une touffe de cheveux est resté toute la semaine dans la salle de bain à côté de la poubelle). Serviette sale pouvait resté croché derrière la porte de salle de bain 2 jours de suite. On a pas eu de tapis de sortie de bain tous les jours, on a dû improviser. Le panier petit déjeuner gratuit (thé, café en dosettes) n'était pas réapprovisionné. Déçu de cette hôtel qui fait parti du groupe Le Méridien. On trouve bien mieux dans le quartier à un prix moins cher ou équivalent.

Venlig atmosfære, hyggelig swimmingpool på taget, veludstyrede værelser m. køkken og vaskemaskine, fin udsigt fra taget til downtown Dubai (især om aftenen), beliggenhed tæt på Dubai Creek med handelskvartererne mv.; alt i alt et super hotel til prisen!

Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Metro-Station in 10 Minuten Entfernung, Creek, mehrere tolle Supermärkte, Internet-Caffee und Apotheke auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite.

Wundervoller Pool mit Weitblick auf die Stadt erlaubt richtige Erholung nach anstrengenden Fluegen. Raus aus dem Flughafen ohne Visum (fuer EU-Buerger) durch Immigration und dann entweder mit der brandneuen Metro oder falls schon zu spaet ca. nach 22:30 mit dem Taxi ins Hotel. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal, das uns kostenfreien Late-Check-Out um 15:00 einraeumte. Tolles Studio, massig Platz und grosses Bad, alles gefliest und blitzsauber. Gut, das Mobiliar koennte mal wieder ueberholt werden. Preis war konkurrenzlos guenstig - da kommt keine Selbstzahler-Lounge am Airport mit!
