Marriott's Desert Springs Villas I - بالم ديزرت

The hotel room had one bathroom not two. The hotel would not fix the problem but offered to upgrade for $500. They didn't have cots or rollaway beds. Nobody helped. It's unfortunate because I travel for business all the time and book through hotels.com. I've been offered money off toward my next purchase- however the actually experience was dudsapintig and the customer service reps were condescending.

This complex is perfect for families. With the full kitchen and washer and dryer it was very comfortable.

Waited for 30 minutes to check in. Very disappointing. Only to be topped off with the room not being ready at 3pm. We didn't get into our unit until 5:30pm. They had to put us in a different unit to even accomodate that time line. Overall experience was poor. We spent more time with logistics than enjoying our getaway.

Hotel room was not great. Plugs would not stay in and had to be held in place to dry hair etc. Bath tub jets did not work. Reported several times but never fixed. Tried to go for a morning swim around 9 a.m. and the pool was so filthy we couldn't. 5 or 6 dirty towels floating on top with other debris including plastic cups and multiple feces scattered around. Do not expect much at this resort or you will be dissappointed. Marriotts Shadow ridge was much nicer. Stayed there last month and would recommend. Would not recommend this resort due to run down and unclean.It was a shame as the location is nice.

Four air conditioners right outside patio window wrecked every opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and weather. Very poorly planned room layout.

Overall I used it for a comfortable stayover after the long day of tennis at the fabulous Indian WELLS Tennis GARDEN. The 10:oo am check out and 4:00 check in is not vacationer friendly,they should change to a 12 noon check out. I enjoyed the ambiance of the resort with the pretty ducks and nice views. The morning swim and jacuzzi was nice before the trip home. Itsa nice place to stay if you are able to afford it.

Wonderful! My family and I can't wait to go back. Our villa was perfect for our situation. My husband and I had our own large room with king size bed, patio access, TV, bathtub and vanity while our 3 small children slept in the large main living area on the hide-a-bed and sectional sofa, and Grandma and Grandpa had their own living quarters joined to us by a private foyer. Their large room contained 2 double beds a small fridge and coffee maker, a TV, a huge bathroom with shower and another room with a bathtub and vanity. They also had their own patio. In addition to the large sectional with hide-a-bed, the main living area in our part had lots of windows overlooking the golf course, patio access, a gas fireplace, a TV with DVD, a large kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, washer, dryer (everything you need!) and a dining table which easily sat all 7 of us. It was perfect and the beds were very comfortable. The service people were very helpful and friendly. Both golf courses were beautiful and in great shape. The kids loved the Shade where they had Wii, ping pong and other daily activities. They also loved the heated pools. Be sure to take in the free boat ride at the hotel and try the free 18 hole putting course too - bring lots of balls because there's water everywhere! There's a free shuttle which can take you to the hotel and around the property every half hour.

Our family decided to meet in Palm Desert for our family Christmas . The roominess of the condo-villas was perfect for my grandchildren, my kids and my mom . I needed a screw driver to help put together some Christmas toys and they were at my villa within ten minutes. If you are looking for a place for your family to stay and feel together I highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed getting away for one night, and the luxury of a wonderful dinner and breakfast at the beautiful Marriott Desert Springs Resort.

The property is beautiful and our weekend was very enjoyable.

Very nice set up - beautiful grounds. Resort is situated in the middle of a golf course. From what I could see, every room had a balcony with a view of the course. Even with hotel.com's reduced prices, it is @still a bit pricey for what you get.

The resort was beautiful and had all the amenities one could wish for. The added convenience of the Marriott hotel made it perfect. My one bedroom villa was lovely and very conveniently equipped. The grounds were immaculate and being improved every day. It was every bit as nice as the Orlando property we stayed at in February.

Hotel rooms where nicely remodeled since my last stay.. Stainless steel appliances, new furniture, and paint.

We stayed in the Villa I complex and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The villa was excellent. Ask for a golf course view. The only thing we regretted was that we couldn't stay a few more nights. Overall, we highly recommend this facility.

great staff, beautiful facility, pool, and spa. only complaint was the bed. not very comfortable. would be nice to have an" adult only" area for retired people of couples who want to get away - there were many kids running through our patio and around the pool. it was difficult to relax with the noise level of teens and kids.

Except for the fact that you had to pay extra for maid service, this hotel was great for the 3 days i stayed; if i had stayed longer i would have had to pay for maid service as they did not clean the toilets. it was close to the tennis tourney indian wells; free laundry room w/soap, perfect, friendly, easy!!!

Nicely refurbished rooms, large patio, excellent amenities like pools, gym and tennis programs. Only complaint is too much leaf-blower noise in morning.

Make sure to ask for room on golf course. We got a concrete wall for a view, no coffee and hot and cold water reversed!

Rates too high for the quality.

Great location in Palm Desert and really enjoyed the room and the staff. One of the great things is that the bath tube is absolutely giant and the shower/vanities are well done also!

One of the main features of this resort is the spa/gym. Even though it is not indicated on the website or in the literature, we were asked to pat $ 35/per person per day to use these facilities. A call to the office was met with a brusque reply about contractual arrangements with the spa management which is separate from Marriott. We replied that this was not relevant to the consumer, especially since there was no notice of the extra charges. No accommodation was made and we found the explanation inadequate and irrelevant.

Not only do you get to hear your neighbors slamming their front door (your share an entryway with one other room) you get to hear it again in the morning with housekeeping. It is nice that there is coffee in the room but do not expect the amenities such as snacks, water, etc. available for purchase. And the rooms are slightly out of date.

Nice complex in the Marroitt complex in Palm Desert. Beautiful grounds, Great bed, full kitchen.

WE had a nice time and the kids loved being at the pool all day long. We will be back.

its like a little city you dont even have to get out of the hotel... amazing views, its connected to the jw, you can get a boat tour around the lake which is amazing... the hotel has very good restaurants with great lake views and golf course views.. it is great for tennis and bike riding.. great location, close to everything.. soakcity , tramline, shopping malls

Overall our stay was great. The room was clean with a fully equipped kitchen, which was very convinient for us. The resort is big and perhaps a "golfer's dream come true".. huge, huge golf area. We are not golfers, so the pool and a quiet stay is what we were going for. We found the quiet stay for sure. The pool area was ok, nothing too impresive. Older crowd. There is a $25 house keepping fee; we stayed three nights and all housekeeping did was drop off towels... did not even make the bed or change sheets. We went to the SW Marriott and payed a $15 fee to use the pool, the crowd was beautiful and the vibe exactly what we were looking for. Although we enjoyed the Mariott Villas, I do not believe we would stay here again. We will try the JW next time!

By accident we booked Villas I this trip having spent prior visits in Villas II. Since we were very happy at past stays in Villas II (newer, seemingly better views, nice layout), we didn't know what to expect at Villas I this time. The unit we received was very nice on balance. The specs said it was larger in size ... about 250 sq ft for the 2-bedroom compared to Villas II ... and it did seem so. Several differences we noticed and appreciated ... sunken living room, working fireplace for chilly evenings, jacuzzi tub and shower in smaller bedroom, double beds in smaller bedroom vs rollout couch. We liked the layout of the smaller bedroom better than Villas II. So on balance Villas I DID work well for our family! And we would return ... to either Villas II or I now that we tried both. Most things remain the same ... but worth repeating. The shuttle service is very convenient to and from the Marriott Hotel. The Marketplace "convenience store" is convenient but VERY overpriced. There are other options within easy reach. The location of the Marriott Vacation Club Resort is close to all the places we like ... the mountains, restaurants, El Paseo, etc. Most likely will return again. P.S. our units have always been serviced daily which is very nice touch in these condos. We had a roof leak and a clogged sink and both were quickly addressed. Good job!

We usually stay at the JW Marriott next door and decided to try the Villas based on the reviews. The villas were spectacular. Fireplace, jaquizzi garden tub, kitchen full dining room, and a great view. We will definitely stay there again. The pool was nice, with a bar and soon to be food service. It definitely drew an older crowd, which was nice as there were few small children running around. These are perfect for a romantic getaway, or a trip with friends. The staff were outstanding.

GOOD: 1. Location is the best. 2. Villas are gorgeous and just remodeled. 3. Beautifull view outside all Villas 4. All 10 pools were heated to 84 degrees BAD: 1.Sugar Ants all inside the room all over! 2.Spa inside was filthy It had dead skin, long hair inside and was throwing black stuff out the jet like if it had old pipes. 3. Sheets on bed looked like they where in a fight with a black Pen.

This place is awesome. They are super accommodating. It was 4:30 am. and I called the front desk and asked for a battery for my insulin pump and they had security bring it to me within 15 minutes. The room was super clean and the jacuzzi was wonderful. If we are ever in Palm Desert, we would definitely stay here again.

We, all 5 of us, had a wonderful stay in the Marriott Desert Springs villas! The villa was beautifully decorated and maintained with a really well equiped kitchen. A real home from home!
