Best Western Plus Blue Sea Lodge - سان دييجو

In my opinion, one of the best beach location hotels (for the price) in Southern California. Excellent quality vs price compared to other options on the beach. A very nice stay.

The short stay was ideal. Proximity to beach, restaurants, farmer's market, and local neighborhood and Mission Bay second to none. Staff helpfulness and friendliness was tops for this class of hotel.

The staff and hotel was very nice. Room was clean. Bathroom door had a broken hinge and hard to close but that was it. Place was a little loud with kids and collage spring breakers but we knew that would be a possibility. We rented Segway's less that a block away. A MUST DO! they were very easy to ride and fun. Did 11 miles around the area and Mission bay in about 4 hours. A lot to see. The beach access from the hotel is about 50 feet away. Eat at the Green Flash on the boardwalk. Very good food.

It was a wonderful wonderful experience. The people thet work there was super nice. The view was AMAZING. I had a great time. I will for sure come back.

Love, love, loved it!! Had a room on the first floor that opened up to pool which over looked ocean. This was great because we have three children. We had the best time.

The staff at this hotel when we checked in were very nice. However, Freddie and Michelle put an awesome display of down-to-earth, welcoming niceness. They talked to us and treated us like a nice neighbor or relative, not just a guest at the hotel. Super job, and we would definitely recommend this hotel!! Thank you!!

We had stayed here 10 years ago. We were pleasantly surprised when we got here. The hotel has actually improved!! You can't get any closer to the ocean, the boardwalk & resturants/bars without walking. Thanks again for a great stay.;

THE HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN, GREAT SERVICE, FREE PARKING, AND QUITE

i and my wife stayed during seven days. Very nice. We recomended it. But the parking is not free and very expensive, 17 dollars, and wireless doesn t work well some days. The staff was very nice and the room was very clean, but our neighbor from the upper room was a person that loved to jumping and making noise all the time.

The hotel was nice but the remote control to the TV didn't work. When I caled the front desk i was told maintenance staff was gone for the day so I would need to manually control the TV. A few minutes later I called again and someone else answered at the front desk and they sent maintance to the room. Problem solved.

Close to a restauraht called World Famous--excellent. I left a jacket in the room, they saved it and returned it. Michelle was the person handling the situation for the hotel.

This hotel is nice if you want a stay directly on the beach. It's a very clean hotel with many friendly, helpful folks on staff. The rooms are large, but maybe I just think that because I'm used to Europe. I liked everything about the hotel save two things: 1) The wireless internet doesn't stretch to all the rooms, so depending on where your room is, you may have to go down to the lobby to get access. 2) The walls are thin. Really thin. If your neighbors speak, you'll hear it. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay here and I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

After traveling a good portion of the day we needed to rest and the outside of the hotel is being painted. When we asked for quiet the painters actually got LOUDER. Then in the morning the maids were yelling in the hall. We never could get the promised WIFI to work even in the lobby. Front desk said to call tech service. Employees were very indifferent.

My husband and I stayed here for a little weekend getaway and we were very pleased with our experience. The front desk attendant, Bob, had such a great attitude and was very helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was perfect, right on the beach and close to restaurants and shops. The only problem we found was the noise level was a little high in the morning, but nothing earplugs could'nt fix. We will be back.

I'd have to say that are stay was quite nice. The staff and room was great. I'm sure there are more elaborate hotels but the location and the view we had was fabulous. I would stay there again.

How many places provide value and luxury at the same time? Very few. Best Western upgraded our room and provided late checkout, allowed us to cancel a day at no charge, and provided excellent accomidations. If your looking to walk 10 ft to the beach, stay at Best Western!

It offers best value for money spent. Among all, I liked its location right on the beach in San Diego, its the best place to relax and having fun with restaurants, bars in its vicinity. Its economical too.

Loved the hotel easy to get to. Easy to get back to HWY. Friendly staff. Beach right outside our door. Plenty of Restruants in walking distance. We took a walk to find a place for dinner and enjoyed walking down the boardwalk. We stood on the nearby pier to watch the sunset into the ocean.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - beach front and close to lots of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. The cafe in the lobby is great for a quick, inexpensive breakfast. Great pool and hot tub, beach front. Very convenient for families and with laundry facilities. Will definitely stay here again!

Nothing fancy here. Hotel caters to vacationing families; I stayed for a business trip because the Catamaran Resort across the street was full. The room was clean but minimal -- bed linens were scratchy, carpet was worn. Very noisy throughout the hotel -- slamming doors, loud guests in the hallways, maintenance and cleaning staff talking loudly in the corridors. The toilet in the room ran for 30 seconds every minute or so. Shower water was lukewarm. Location is right on the beach and there are a couple of restaurants nearby. Would be a convenient place for a beach vacation but not for business travelers.

Awesome views from balcony of beach... Great for people watching. The air conditioner units are remote controlled and you have to use the remote to turn on the air as it defaults to just fan. (for those who were having problems with it).

This is our 3rd stay at the hotel....so we obviously love it. The location is absolutely fantastic - right on the beach and the other side of the hotel across the road is Mission Bay, walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The room was a good size with microwave, fridge and a great pool/jacuzzi. However, the decor of the hotel could be modernised.

Overall a nice hotel. Great location to the beach and other San Diego attractions. The air conditioning did not work very well so the room was a little warm, but with the window open at night was cool enough.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Parking and room were fine, pool and hot-tub looking across the beach were an unexpected bonus - shame both close at night (presumably to keep noise down) as would be nice to swim or soak in the tub after dinner. No breakfast provided and staff at front desk not very helpful but nearby places to eat meant we didn't need to rely on their assistance anyhow. Good location for beach, bars, and surf lessons.

My short visit to the Best Western Blue Sea Lodge was a pleasant visit. The hotel itself could use some updating, but the rooms were clean, the beds were comfy, the staff was extremely courteous, and the location being on the beach couldn't have been better. I'd definitely stay there again if we ever return to the area.

Location to beach is excellent. Great food within walking distance. Room was clean and staff was very helpful. Our only observation was a lack of towel bars in the bathroom. The current rod worked great as long as someone was not showering. We just used the back of the chairs. Would certainly stay there again if we are back in San Diego and would recommend to friends

It is wonderful to step out of your room and see and hear the ocean. The access straight from the pool area was convenient. The staff helped us find good places to eat, although there are good places everywhere. Everything you want is in walking distance to the hotel. We had a great time and will go back and use this hotel again.

It is rightttttt next to the ocean. The service was great. We showed up earlier then we were suppose to for our check in time, but they were very helpful and let us get our room anyways. They was a surf compitition right behind us on the beach. Highly recommended especially compared to the other prices on other hotels.

Great location--Pacific Beach, Mission Beach boardwalk and restaurants. Beautiful view from room on Pacific Beach Blvd. Bathrooms clean and updated. Room itself not so nice. Beachside rooms should not have carpets as the room had a musty smell from wetness and feet. Screen door did not open/close properly--needed to be replaced. TV control did not work upon arrival but was taken care of quickly. Friendly staff.

This hotel was amazing. right on the ocean. pool and spa faced the ocean. Our "partial ocean" room have a full view of the ocean from our patio. Lots of fun restaurants, bars, ad shopping right next door. Staff was pleasant. Bed was comfortable, complete with 6 pillows. There was a little wet bar sink area with microwave and frig. The room was a lot nicer than i expected. the pictures do not do it justice. You will not be disappointed!

A pleasant family experience, as I enjoyed a weekend with my grandchildren at this location. We parked the car and did not get back in until time to leave. Everything you could possibility need is accessible by foot. It was a very busy weekend, but staff kept up and maintained pleasant service and attitude. Thank you staff.

Great location. Wonderful staff, very helpful with information about area. Clean and comfortable room. Great recommendation for a restaurant directly across the street - World Famous. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Nice, comfortable hotel. Rooms were fairly spacious and very clean. Walk out the back entrance and you're on the beach. Convenient to many local bars and restaurants. One drawback for some is that the area (Pacific Beach) caters to a younger crowd so you may hear some late-night noise as the bar crowd is making its way back home/to their rooms. The noise wasn't enough to distract me, but others may feel differently. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend the hotel.

We were initially assigned a room on the 1st floor which is of course right on the beach walk with people sitting on the edge of our balcony. We requested to be moved to a higher floor for more privacy which they accommodated, but the new room was not ready until about 4:00 which they told us up front. We went off and had a beer at a restaurant on the shore. The second floor room where we moved was better but still so low you didn't really feel private or secure. The King ocean front room we booked was tiny by NYC standards, f you get my drift, with about four feet on each of three sides of the bed, a small closet and dresser but a decent sized bathroom. The hallway and elevator carpets were soiled. You can't beat the location - across the street from "World Famous" that has fantastic breakfasts and Mimosas. Ocean front rooms are indeed ocean front, but don't let them put you in a 1st floor room, rather you should try to book a partial ocean view suite on the corner which will cost more but the view is still pretty good and the rooms are much larger (check out the the hotel room map to see what you're really booking.)

The hotel was in the perfect location, on the beach and only 10 min drive from the city. The beach was clean and perfect for surfers (we surf) and family holidays, plenty of places to eat out, take a stroll and relax. The hotel looked dated exterior and interior, but the cleaners came everyday, changed the bedding, mopped, vacuumed, new towels and everything! The room was huge with a king size bed an eating area, a small kitchen and even a couch! Yes it looked dated but because it was so clean and the cleaners were excellent i felt it was great! It had a pool and hot tub, the hot tub was really hot, which was nice to go in at night time and relax. We will defiantly be going back there, I would recommend this place to anyone with kids or just a couple. Like I said the only thing I would have changed is the interior and exterior. One thing I loved about this hotel was the sea view, I watched dolphins everyday it was truly a beautiful experience!

Great location! Beach front with easy access to the beach. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Easy to get to and park. They have an underground parking garage for guests.

This is an aging hotel located right on the beach in San Diego. You walk out of the hotel and you're on the boardwalk. The rooms are a bit small. The rooms with an Ocean view are updated but small. The pool, hot tub, and patio have a great view. The view of the sunset from this hotel is fabulous. I recommend this hotel. There are dozens of good restaurants within a couple of blocks (Tony Romas 50 feet). The beach is 10 feet away. The boardwalk may be too much for some people, but it's just right for me....

This is a great location - right on the strand and the beach with a great swimming pool overlooking the ocean. The rooms were a little small and the TV could be upgraded, but it was very clean and nicely decorated. Very family friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel - you cannot beat the location.
