The Windermere Hotel - لندن

الغرفة العائلية المخصصة لعدد 3 التي أقمنا فيها بحاجة ماسة إلي التجديد - جدار متصدع، وسجادة قديمة وأبواب متكسرة قديمة جدا، والبلاط الملطخ في حوض الاستحمام في الحمام وما إلى ذلك. طوق النجاة هو قربها من محطة فيكتوريا، إفطار لائق وطاقم عمل ودود. نظرا لحالة الغرفة أظن أن الفندق حاصل علي نجمتين أو 3 نجوم على الأكثر. إذا كنت تبحث عن الراحة لا تقيم هنا.

فندق ويندرمير قديم جدا ولكن بحالة جيدة. الغرفة كانت نظيفة ومريحة. وكان الحمام مساحته صغيرة. كان طاقم العمل بالفندق ودود ومفيد. استمتعنا بإقامتنا. يقع الفندق على مسافة يمكن قطعها سيرا علي الأقدام من محطة مترو الأنفاق فيكتوريا.

كان طاقم العمل في الفندق ودود للغاية معي أنا وزوجتي أثناء مدة إقامتنا. بعد أن تنتهي دورة الألعاب الاولمبية سوف نقيم هنا مرة أخرى. الموقع عظيم، فقط على بعد 5 دقائق سيرا علي الأقدام من محطة قطار لندن فيكتوريا. يمكنك المشي بسهولة من الفندق إلى برج ساعة بيغ بن أو قصر باكنجهام. وعلى مسافة قصيرة سيرا على الأقدام يوجد عرض "wicked". إفطار إنجليزي مطبوخ مذهل. واي فاي مجاني في الغرفة وهو أحد أسباب اختيارنا لهذا الفندق، عندما تكون في لندن فانه لشيء رائع أن يكون لديك واي فاي مجاني للبحث عن أماكن لزيارتها ومعرفة عناوين المحلات التجارية (زوجتي تحب شراء تلك الحقائب النسائية الباهظة الثمن، وكمهندس محترف ما زلت لا أفهم هذا ولكن ما علينا!). عموما فندق ممتاز وقيمة كبيرة مقابل المال!

ترحيب لطيف لكني ذهلت أن الفندق 4 نجوم بالرغم من الممرات الضيقة والدرج الكثيرة جدا وقاعة الإفطار الضيقة، وجبة الإفطار ذاتها كانت ممتازة والخدمة ممتعة

فندق ويندمير بالقرب من محطة فيكتوريا هو جوهرة. أصحاب الفندق وطاقم العمل يتميزوا بحسن المظهر والتعاون. فهم مضيافون كرما بدلا من أنهم موظفون فقط. الغرف نظيفة وبحالة جيدة. اختيارات الإفطار تجهز الشخص ليوم نشط لزيارة العديد من المعالم السياحية، يقع الفندق على بعد مسافة قصيرة سيرا على الأقدام أو عن طريق وسائل النقل العام من محطة فيكتوريا. وقد تناولنا وجبة عشاء جميلة وتمتعنا بالدردشة مع رئيس الطهاة. سنقيم هنا هنا مرة أخرى.

Other than the fact room and the bathroom were a little on the small side , this was an excellent hotel . We enjoyed our stay very much . The staff was extremely courteous and very accommodating . The breakfast was great and there is an excellent dinner menu . The location is excellent , a short walk to Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace and other sights .

Rooms were a bit small but the hotel is nice. Good location, short walk to all the great sites of London and very close to Victoria station.

Comfortable 7 night stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and professional. And the location could not have been much better. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The Windermere is a wonderful hotel. It is a Georgian converted into a hotel like many in the area, so the rooms are smaller than a more modern hotel. The rooms were clean and well serviced. The staff at the hotel is superb. They responded to requests quickly and with a genuine smile. I will provide the example of the service given. My family and I went to eat in the restaurant in the hotel and my daughter-in-law inquired about the soup of the day. It was pea, not her favorite, the cook came out and offered to make any soup she wanted, and he did. How can you surpass that for service? The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the Victoria tube station, so after a nice full English breakfast (included), we walked to the tube and went to the sights for the day. We spent 5 nights at the hotel and do not regret a moment spent at the hotel.

The Windermere hotel was wonderful!! The staff was very friendly and informative. The room was lovely and very clean and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is also in a great location. Victoria is a very clean and well lit area of London the people were very friendly at all the shops and restaurants. Victoria Station is about a 10 minute walk as well as Buckingham Palace and other places of interest. if you are in need of wi-fi then you will not be disappointed. Not only is it free, which is rare in London, but the signals were strong in every part of the hotel that we visited. We will definitely stay at The Windermere again and highly recommend it to all.

Everything was great. What was inspiring was the help they gave to a Yank whose wallet was stollen and only had euros and dollars

Colin and Ann were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious.

Lovely hotel and was made to feel very welcome. Very personal service.

My husband and I stayed one night here and wished we could have stayed longer. Not only was the location convenient but the staff were very friendly. They made us feel welcome, helpful and efficient. It is a little pricey but well worth it. The free breakfast was delicious and the room was extremely comfortable. We stayed in the Superior Double room and will always choose that one. We both have trouble sleeping but were able to sleep all night. So comfy and quiet. We loved the place and will stay there for all future London visits.

We stayed overnight to see Billy Elliott which was close by. We liked the Pimlico area and it was very quiet at night. The room was quite cramped and the beds were single and not the usual 3/4 beds, but apart from that, the hotel was beautifully clean and tastefully furnished. The breakfast was very substantial and well presented. We would definately stay here again, although we would look for a larger room and would recommend it to friends and family.

Booked on hotels.com for $160, my double was bumped up to a queen. ground floor front, but not noisy. a little warm (in January) for my taste, so probably just right for most people. nice breakfast. very clean room and helpful, polite staff. highly recommended.

Great and very attentive staff. Pleasant stay and people. Lovely breakfast bar and café area. Clean linens and nicely appointed room. Great location, convenient to all forms of transportation, major sites, and theaters. Highly recommend it.

wonderful , clean, lovely fresh breakfast, friendly helpful staff,comfy beds,no sirens going off all night!!! have stayed in big hotels in london on many previous visits but the windermere beats them all.a previous review mentioned it was too warm in their room, yes ours was too, so we simply turned the radiator off.all in all the windermere is a credit to the owners and we will stay there again.

Had a great experience staying at Windermere Hotel. Room was nicely furnished and clean. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Location is very near Victoria Coach Station, which is a plus for someone traveling by coach to and fro Heathrow Airport, and walkable from Victoria Underground.

We made the mistake of getting a standard double room. It was tiny with the smallest bathroom I've ever seen. I'm sure the more superior rooms are dramatically better as the general ambience of the hotel was very good. Tip - call these v small double rooms "budget doubles" or even "singles".

On a one-night stay in London, we chose to stay at the Windermere Hotel. From the start, our experience was great. When we arrived (they allowed a late arrival) we were assisted by the front desk attendant. He provided us with a small map of the area and sites close to the hotel and also a larger map of the greater area of London, both of which proved to be very helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was one of the best that we had while in Europe. The staff was very helpful in providing us with what we wanted/needed. Also, because check out was at 11am and we were not leaving London until later on that night, they offered to store our luggage at no additional cost for as long as we needed so that we could go enjoy the sites of London. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to any and everyone.

We stayed here on the last day of our trip. We were tired of travelling and lugging suitcases and had an unpleasant hotel on the prior leg of our trip. When we got to the Windermere, it was like finding an oasis in the desert. We were very pleased with every aspect of our stay, although we only stayed one night.

The hotel was average, with the only great quality being the location in Victoria. It was definitely overpriced. No real complaints however, just an average hotel at a steep price.

Helpful staff, rooms not quite like the pictures but nice and clean. Tight bathroom but good and workable, not completely clean. Great breakfast as well as warm ala carte choices

Hotel is very clean and decor good. It is in an ideal location for sightseeing. For a short stay it is OK but bed is too small for much longer than that. We were in a basement room and it was too hot (even though temperature outside was low - 3 C). Would I stay there again? Not sure and certainly not for a lengthy stay.

The Windermere was convenient to many of a London-tourist's must-see sights - Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Parliment and Westminster Abbey are all within walking distance, as are Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery - and to Victoria Rail, Coach, and Underground Stations. The staff was pleasant and professional. Breakfast was very good and evening meals in cafe downstairs were good, as well. The facility is clean and comfortable.

Great location. A 5 minute walk to Victoria Station, on a quiet street. Friendly attentive and knowledgable staff. Very clean room and wonderful breakfasts. We will return and recommend highly.

the windermere hotel is a small and extremely clean hotel. the staff are helpful and pleasant. the food was very good and nothing was too much trouble. the location is ok but is not convenient for everything. the main down side was the size of room 23 - it is small and consequently the double bed is small and therefore not very comfortable. that having been said, we had a lovely time and were well looked after by the hotel team.

The Windermere is a very nice, small hotel with a friendly, helpful staff on duty 24/7. Our room and ensuite were both bigger than we expected them to be, and decorated beautifully. It's only a five-minute brisk walk to Victoria Station, which lets you connect with all the major city-center sights by tube. The staff recommended some nice places to eat in the area. Hot breakfast menu is a little limited (no pancakes or waffles), but the food is good and service is fine. Recommend as a good choice for a family vacation or a romantic getaway.

No complaints except we were first told the wrong password for the wifi. It would be nice if a small fridge was in the room. Excellent breakfast and nice family hosts. There is a small newsstand store one block away where you can buy a few snacks, etc. Also a pub nearby. Other restaurants near Victoria station, a five-minute walk away.

We will just keep returning!!

Positives were the friendliness and willingness to assist by the staff. Breakfasts were included and were excellent. The room was extremely small, but compact. Very little room to move around and to unpack. There was no air or air circulation. It was stifling. We could hear the party above us walking or banging on the floor. These contributed to a very uncomfortable stay for 5 nights. It was suitable for 1 or 2 nights.

A good value in a handy location. Service was good.

Room was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was excellent. Hotel held bags for us on our last day, even though we had checked out. This allowed us to enjoy our last day in London without carting our suitcases around with us. 5 min walk to Victoria Station made getting around easy. No air conditioning, but cooling fan in room made it quite pleasant even though it was very hot when we were there. Rates were good. Would definately stay there again.

This is a lovely little hotel. The breakfast was great. The room was small, but cute and clean. There is no air conditioning. Fortunately we didn't need it this trip but in the future might. The staff was very helpful in finding good places for us to eat. The location is hard to find from Victoria Station. Overall we were happy with it.

Good hotel. Staff friendly. Breakfast each morning. All around great stay for olympics

liked the stay. being close to Victoria station made it accessible toalmost anywhere one wanted to visit by train or bus. lots of restaurants close by especially at the stattion where all sorts of stores were available.

Excellent value, good clean hotel, excellent service.

Every staff member was friendly and helpful. Breakfast menu was excellent.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Windermere Hotel. It is a quaint and lovely inn with warm and pleasant service. We were visiting our daughter who was on a study abroad program. We would love to visit London again and we would easily stay at The Windermere Hotel. My favorite moment: We had to leave the hotel early to get to Heathrow for an early morning flight and the morning receptionist made sure a continental breakfast with fresh coffee was ready! What a treat! We highly recommend The Windermere!
