A very good value. Staff was very helpful. One could give it a better rating than 3 star. At least 3.5 star. Good wifi. Excellent location.

lovely hotel. asked for a room facing the street and got a small but thoroughly lovely and enjoyable room. beds were a bit hard but quite ,acceptable in hotel terms. the hotel restaurant is of very high quality, open for breakfast and lunch and worth checking out. we had two breakfasts and two lunches and were very happy. (san sebastian is we all know, a fine place to eat). l 'll go back there happily any time. conveniently located for most anything (couple blocks from the beach, maybe 10 blocks from the old town and lots of restaurants. hotel staff is friendly and accomodating.

Hotel is ideally located to get a night's rest after a day trip in Bilbao seeing sights. Walk along the river and across the Calatrava footbridge to the Guggenheim Bilbao. The approach from the direction of the hotel is perfect for taking in the bridge and the features of the Gehry built museum. The staff are courteous though not particularly helpful. The rooms are pleasant and well maintained. In - room internet is a convenience but they also have a business center next to the lounge. Also a short walk to the town square for a bite to eat. You won't have trouble spotting the hotel on the way back with its' colorful montage of windows facing the river.

Stayed for 5 days while at a conference. The hotel room was a bit small and cramped. It was OK for just me but would have felt real crowded had my wife been there too. You shouldn't be coming to San Sebastian to stay inside though! The staff was quite friendly though and very helpful. Best thing about the hotel though is that it is only a couple hundred feet from the center of that amazing beach. Location, location, location.

this hotel is just a few blocks from the beach and old town so walking was great. it was nice not to be with all the crowds and have some quiet on our street. we were disappointed in the small size of our room....not at all like the photos on the website. i went downstairs as soon as i saw our room and asked if we could upgrade at all. he said no, all rooms were that size. i thought that way until i just saw the photos listed here...

This hotel is in a prime position in town and is about a 10 minute MAX walk into the old town. The hotel is expensive for it's location, and don't expect anything flashy. It is serviced daily, great staff who booked dinners at Michelin star restaurants for us. I would stay there again as it is a 2 minute walk to La Concha beach (the main), and about 5-10 to Ondoretta beach. Overall the room reminds me of New York, you really do pay for location. Around the corner is Hotel Zaragoza (check prices), but I recommend this hotel. A few tips - would recommend going to the old town and sampling pinchos (not tapas), you walk into pubs put what you want on your plate, show the bar man and eat up!

The location was very good close to the beach and the old city. Staff helpful only thing to be aware of if driving the cost for parking is 23euro per day. Room comfortable and clean and very quiet.

The hotel was good - clean, good location, within walking distance to all the sights and the great bars! The only thing I would mention is that the hotel parking is in a car park one block away and in April 2011, cost 20 euros per day. Also, a minor point, but unlike any of the other three Spanish hotels I stayed in (including another Husa hotel) the soft drinks in your room are not complimentary!

This hotel, although in an excellent location, it is in dire need of updating.

Nice hotel very near beach in San Sebastian. Not inexpensive but relative to other choices this one offers a good value. Staff very helpful and well-versed in English. Room was clogged with furniture and carpets could use replacement...not dirty, just "mature".

The hallways and rooms in this hotel have a very strong cigarette smell. The hotel is a bit rundown. If you are looking to stay near the beach, this hotel is in a good location. But the old town, which is where most of the restaurants and bars are located, is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Safety, when walking around at night, is not a concern.

The hotel was average, a bit old and lacking in some areas but the location and price couldn't be beat. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful and overall it was a good experience.

The room that we got has small windows that open to a roofed space, so there really is no ventilation. It felt rather stuffy inside. The noise from the other rooms can be heard like people talking and banging doors. The hotel is switched between buildings so there's not much view unless you are given a room fronting the side street. The staff were nice and helpful though.They complimented us with bottled water and made last minute arrangements for our dinner at Akelare.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location five minute walk from the beach. Friendly and helpful staff.

Husa Europa is only 2 minutes from La Concha beach, 5 minutes from the Esko Train station and 10 minutes by foot from the bars and cafes of the old part of town. Our room was smallish but clean, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We had a sea view from our balcony. The corridors etc could do with a bit of redecoration but over all it was good value for money and a pleaseant experience. The cafe on the ground floor is a good place for breakfast apart from the service which wasn't up to much. The area around the hotel is good for shopping but we found it difficult to find anywhere to buy any food/ snacks/ water etc. If you want a safe, clean room with easy access to everything San Sebastian has to offer then Husa Europa is a great choice.

Comfortable clean and neat. Pricey without breakfast

This hotel is located a block from the middle of La Concha beach - you can't get more perfectly located! The staff is a little standoffish, but their English is impeccable (as is the English of most folks catering to tourists in town). Breakfast is expensive.

The Husa Europa was a very pleasant surprise. The location was exceptional; two blocks from the beach and central as well. The room was very comfortable, small but normal size for Europe standards. Room was on the warm side (we were on the 6th floor and the AC did not keep room cool)...so would suggest asking for a lower level floor. Quiet and clean. I would definately stay there again.

I found the Husa Europa Hotel to be comfortable, convenient and attractive. I could see the ocean from my balcony and it's near the center of the newer part of San Sebastian. The staff were helpful and there is a nice cafe in the hotel. It's an older hotel with all the modern necessities, so one gets a good sense of being in Europe.

Perfectly placed in the centre, handy for the beach (2 minutes) or the town centre (2 minutes) this hotel could not be faulted. We stayed on a Room only basis for 6 nights and we loved both the town and the hotel. For anybody wanting clean, comfy accomodation, that won't stretch the budget, the Hotel Europa is highly recommended.

Henkilökunta puhui sujuvaa englantia ja oli todella avuliasta. Huone oli siisti ja kohtuullisen tilava. Sijainti on optimaalinen, juuri vanhan kaupungin nähtävyyksien ja uuden puolen ravintoloiden välissä, molempiin suuntiin lyhyt kävelymatka.

Lo mejor de todo,tener al tan cerca la parte mas antigaus de la ciudad.

Präktigt och gammaldags hotell med perfekt läge. Små rum i fint skick men väldigt hårda sängar. Rent, snyggt och välhållet. Trevlig personal och val mellan bufféfrukost eller mindre/billigare i cafét.

tv hors du temps, chambre vieillote et déco hallucinante, fissures au plafond.pas de double vitrage (axe très roulant)...

Personal muy amable, excelente situación del hotel, a una calle de la playa de la Concha, y a 5 minutos a pie del centro comercial de San Martin.

Impresión general positiva. Habitación muy agradabel. Totalmente inaceptable tapa del inodoro, pide a gritos renovación. Sería adecuado actualizar la ropa de cama y sobre todo las almuhadas tipo "pedrusco". Lo mejor la ubicación y los bares adyacentes.

Muy buena zona a 2 calles de La Concha y muy cerca del Casco Viejo. Las habitaciones un poco pequenas pero para dos noches mas que suficiente. Muy buen trato en la recepcion.

Situation centrale, proximité front de mer, propreté et petits déjeuners qualité font de cet hotel une adresse recommandable

Het is een beetje oubollig hotel, tikkeltje vergane glorie, wel was alles aanwezig. Het ontbijtbuffet was geweldig, met ook allerlei tapasbroodjes, vers fruit, voldoende broodjes e.d. De ontbijtzaal was moderner dan de rst van het hotel. Parkeergarage niet al te ver van het hotel, doch een prijs van € 20,-- is pittig voor één nacht

Husa Europan sijainti on hyvä aivan San Sebastianin kaupallisessa ydinkeskustassa. Vanhaan kaupunkiin sieltä on vajaa kilometri ja rannalle 100 metriä. Keskeisen sijainnin varjopuoli on se, että liikenteen melu on kova. Meidän kahden hengen huoneemme oli hyvin varusteltu mutta pieni: yöllä pimeässä törmäilimme mm. sänkyymme. Aamiainen ei sisältynyt huoneemme hintaan, mutta talon alakerrassa ja vastapäätä on ravintolat, joista saa aamiaista edullisemmin kuin Husa Europasta.

Ett gamalt hotell med charm. Rumet var stort och badrumet var frächt, Endast 3 min till stranden och 10 min till city.

Hôtel bien situé à deux pas de la plage principale et du centre ville. Bel hôtel bien entretenu, mais salle de bain et mobilier défraîchis qui datent. Cet hôtel correspond à un deux étoiles en France. Je trouve le prix trop élevé par rapport aux prestations. La chambre attribuée était une petite chambre au 6ème étage sous les toits. Par contre, très belle salle de petit-déjeuner décorée avec goût. Personnel sympathique.

Good location of the hotel, really close to the beach. The small double bed was not very comfortable though, but the balcony was great!
