The hotel is old but the rooms were clean and the beds are comfortable. We were only looking for a inexpensive place to stay overnight on the way home and this hotel was fine for that. The continental breakfast provided in the morning was well stocked.

One word Dump! The constint LOUD traffic right out side of our window was an all night sleepless night! The manttenance of the motel was poor.No securtiy lock on the back enterance door. The out side grounds was dirty. The cleanliness of the room was a 3. We only spent one night because it was close to the airport for our flight out the next morning.

I've stayed in a lot of motels/hotels in my day both high class and low class. The Pittston, PA Super 8 was THE DIRTIEST place I have ever stayed!!!

Family owned and they are way over their heads! DIY maintenance was awful (wires taped together by headboard; terrible job in bathroom). Security lock on outside access door missing/broken. Torn sheets with burn holes; hand print smudges all over the bathroom door; shower walls not wiped down. AND they came in and started putting away the breakfast early while I was getting it! ALSO ckout is 11am and at 11:02 when I was about to pick up my bags to leave a man that did not spk English was knocking on my door. Also very noisy folks upstairs late (aft midnight) that spoke the same language as the owners so I assumed it was their suite. I had to get my room key reprogrammed on the 2nd night which was an inconvenience to walk all the way to the lobby when I was bringing in my dinner.

Overall, this was a comfortable stay and located near the areas I had to go to...the surrounding area was really nice and the hwy's was convenient ...

The room was descent for the price. Too bad breakfast isn't served until 10:00 during the week. Grounds needed to be cleaned.

The location is the ONLY good thing about this place! For a few more dollars there are several places very nearby that a person SHOULD stay. Building is filthy and rooms aren't cleaned good at all.

I had no expectation considering the cost I paid, but it had no issues staying here! My room even had a refrigerator and microwave, and room was spacey.

The stay was ok if you need a place to stay for a night,but not for any length of time.

not a great idea for a family, if you have no other choices you can stay here one night...the hotel needs update! it's like from the 50's

This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever been in. The shower walls were moldy and black, There were leaks throughout the hotel. The carpets were nasty and loose. The odor of the hotel would suggest that it had not been cleaned thoroughly in a long time. They had a free breakfast. We didn't bother trying it. We had towels on the floor in the bathroom in fear of what might be on the floor. AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS !!!!!

Everyone has such negative things to say about this hotel. For me this hotel was great. I stayed here with my husband and 4 month old. Upon arriving the clerk did take a long time to come to the front desk to check us in. But that was the only problem. He let us pick whether we wanted first or second floor. I picked first since i had a stroller.. The hotel was pretty big and clean. It no Marriot but look how much you are paying to stay here. There was more than enough parking. They offer a free breakfast which was great orange juice, apple juice, coffee, milk, frosted flakes, raisin bran, honey buns, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit. It was really nice. The room was very big for the price we paid

The hotel would have been much more pleasant if there wasn't an overwhelming smell of perfumy incense throughout the hotel. We had to ask to move our room at first because the smell was so strong and powerful. We found a room with less strong odor, but soon they had made their way there with the stinky perfume or incense. The owners didn't notice but it was really awful. The smell stays on your clothes because its all over the room, in the sheets, on the bedspread and in the carpet and curtains. If not for that, it would be a place worth recommending. If you don't mind terribly strong smells of flowers, spices, perfumes and cleaning solutions then you won't mind this place. Seriously, it's like being hit with a wall of a really strong combination of perfumes and you can't get away from it. They should open the doors and windows and clear the strong smell, then clean with bleach or Lysol or other common cleaners instead of trying to hide the smell of smoke and other unclean odors with perfume.

hotel was in very bad shape good rate wont stay there or recommend anyone stay there.

For the cheap rate, I was satisfied. The motel could use some maintenance. I had to turn on the vent/air to drown out the noise from the next room. I didn't have hot water my second morning.

was a nice hotel and i have stayed there before.. i will stay in same hotel again in the future when i come into town..

couldn't provide a cot or extra bedding. room smelled of something, maybe pets. cleaning was questionable - they left someone else's stuff in the small refrigerator. I would have been OK with paying more if they put a little more care into the service. won't return.

the rooms were confortable but the shower head wasn't on right .The door knob on the bathroom was falling off.The grout of the tile was moldy and the sink stopper was broke. To top it off it had a terriable smell through out the whole wing i stayed on

Inexpensive night stay on-route to destination in Vermont. Needs a complete re-dec and it was leaking (though fortunately not in out room!). Breakfast was limited with paper plates, cups and disposable utensils. Whilst it served a purpose and the bed was OK, we would not stay there again.

This motel needs to learn to clean the rooms. Also the LINENS. I included a detailed letter regarding this situation with some Hotel Bucks I sent in. There is no excuse for dirty linens in a room. Please contact me if you would like a detailed account of this issue.

Needed a place between Scranton & Wilkes-Barre & this is dead center. Odd smell of disinfectant & a camoflauging spice scent throughout hotel except in room, which was, as requested, a smoking room but even I was offended by the stalenes of the smell. Carpetting was filthy, worn out and buckling up in many places. Mildew on shower curtain and mold on baseboard tiles. Deafening heat/air unit barely hanging on wall with the electrical tape repair to the wiring very visible. Everything was worn out and pillows were about 1/2 inch thick. Hotel has signs saying they are undergoing renovations, for their sake, I hope so. Will never stay there again.

The motel was close to the tourist sites. It is showing its age and does need a little updating. Wall paper peeling, Light switches not working. mold in the bathroom. Trash outside the windows just things that should be fixed promptly.

This is the cheapest around the area. The outside could use some work but the room was as expected. If you are looking for decent place to stay this is it. if you are looking for something a little more high end look elsewhere but also pay more.

I think the room was cleaned but the overall condition was such that it did not feel clean or smell fresh. Wallpaper was dirty and peeling off. Rug was dingy and looked soiled. Bathroom had black remnants of where mildew had been, grout was g dingy and looked dirty, corners of floor dusty and dirty. A pipe was partially exposed in the corner. Could smell smoke inside as the people smoked right outside the doorway. Landscaping was in terrible shape -weeds and dead trees and flowers.

Not worth it for the money spent. Property was under renovation with no mention of this upon booking or on the website. Hallways reeked of mold/musty smell and smelled evn worse with the cheap airfreshners they used in a vain attempt to cover the smell. Gave me a real bad headache

Due to the poor condition of the hotel it should be rated zero stars.

This hotel was so rundown "renovations" that the shelves were falling off the wall. Paint peeling, carpet torn up, filthy. I understand it was cheap, but even motel 6 is clean. Basic is what I wanted, not a health hazard! The location on the GPS is off as well, making navigation challenging exploring the area. Makes no difference from the interstate, though.

The hotel is obviously in a state of disarray but there is a sign at the front desk notifying guests of the situation and that they are refurbishing. We were on the second floor and the bannister was coming out from the wall. It seemed kind of dangerous for an older person or someone who would need to lean on it for support. Our non smoking room was two doors down from a smoking room whose guests propped open their stinky room door and flooded the entire hallway. We had to inhale their smoke every time we walked back to our room. The continental breakfast area featured only one small table with 4 chairs. Internet good. Ice machine on second floor broken. The rooms are large and the beds were comfortable. The location is easily accessible to most Wilkes-Barre/Scranton attractions. Easy highway access.

I stay in Hotel 150 nights per year and really have low expectations. This place was dirty, unfriendly, and marginal at best. All I needed was a place to sleep for 6 hours before going to the airport. It served its purpose, but that was all. Will pay more to go somewhere else next time.

After booking employees here for a 3 night stay. I received pictures from them of how bad the place was. In their room there was a light fixture with water and mold damage all the way down the wall. Also in the heater area there were major rust spots and brown spots all over the currtains. This was the worst condition I have ever seen in a hotel room before. The state and board of health should shut this place down.

My room was very filthy, the fridge was terrible and in non work condition and the smell was terrible, nothing against it, but it was that terrible Indian food (from India) smell.....

Obviously, for the price, I wasn't expecting anything luxurious. But this place was pretty nasty. The receptionist wasn't even present when I arrived; the entire hotel reeked of smoke, including our room, which was non-smoking; our bathroom (toilet seat, tub, counter) had caulk dripped all over the place from a recent (unsuccessful) "renovation." Nonetheless, it got the job done. If you're just looking for a place to crash for the night to break up a long drive (which I did), it's a good deal cause it's close to the highway. But it's definitely not a place to take a family, since the place is in horrible condition, feels a bit abandoned, and doesn't have a lot to do in the immediate area since it's on a busy road full of trucks. Choose wisely!

First, I do not begrudge anyone their culture, but, having sensitivites to strong smells, the first turn off was the overwhelming incense in the lobby.You could smell the incense was throughout the entire hotel. The woman that greeted us was pleasant, but did have a very heavy accent which is fine but she should just speak a little slower so those of us that are not familiar with that accent can understand what she was telling us. We asked for a no smoking room, which we did get, but all of the no smoking rooms are located across the hall from the smoking rooms. Suggestion-make the smoking rooms the entire 2nd floor and the no smoking rooms on the first floor then problem solved. The entire hotel looked like it had not seen a vacuum cleaner in weeks. On the positive side, the hotel was conveniently located near the Mohegan Sun at Poconos downs. Like I stated earlier, the woman at the desk greeted us with a smile and a friendly demeanor. The king bed was comfortable. Great water pressure in the bathroom.
