The Knight Residence - إدنبرة

The location of the Knights Residence is excellent to most of the sights of Edinburgh, especially in the old town. The apartment is spacious with all the amenities one would expect, including milk, juice, and butter waiting in the fridge on arrival. There is a Tesco Local a very short distance away for any provisions one may need. The concierges were very nice and helpful with anything we needed. The only thing that might detract, were the small strip clubs down the street, but they were very quiet and really barely noticeable, even on the weekend. I wouldn't even mention it except...well...they were there and my 15-year-old daughter thought it was pretty funny. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and will be booking it again next time I find myself in Edinburgh.

We were expecting a generic hotel room, but we got a two bedroom apartment with kitchen and living room. It would have been great if we had been traveling with the family and will return next year. The staff was professional and welcoming. The location is close to everything and most of the old town was within walking distance. The only issue was upon leaving we discovered that it was very close is the "show girls" section of town.

Knights Residence exceeded all our expectations, the superb accommodation with an eye for detail to improve ones comfort and a fantastically helpful customer service that went the extra mile to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. We will definately be back....

We don't usually stay in apartments but were impressed by this one. Clean and comfortable with a reasonably priced car park. Good location - most, if not all, sights within reasonable walking distance.

This was a serviced apartment. Separate Bedroom, living room, and Bathroom with a decent sized bath. Flat screen TV's in the living room and bedroom. DVD player in the living room (selection available for rent in the foyer). Milk, Orange, Cereal, Bread, Tea all inclusive. Very clean and comfortable. Helpful manager/consierge.

The hotel manager was awesome. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and all set

The duty manager was fantastic; extremely friendly, knowledgable and helpful. They set you up with breakfast and really leave no convenience "unturned." Rooms, kitchen and bathroom all very clean. Great private parking off street with great access to hotel. About a 5-10 minute walk to the Edinburgh castle and the Royal Mile at a leisurely pace. My only regret is that we were not there for longer. We will definitely return to The Knight Residence when we revisit Edinburgh. Absolutely recommend it, especially for families.

I can tell you the apartment was everything and more that we hoped for. It was super clean, super comfortable, and in a great location. The staff could not have been more pleasant and eager to assist. The kitchen was stocked with milk, bread, and teas and cereals upon arrival. If I return to Edinburg (and I would be so lucky to) I would return to Knight Residence.

The hotel is in a good location, short stroll to the castle, Royal Mile and shops in the new town. Well received on arrival; Colin met us at reception and then showed us to the car park and met us there to collect our bags and show us to the apartment. Please note the only downside is that the location is close to a number of less desirable 'bars' if you are with family, however, no problems walking back past these in the evenings.

The staff was wonderful. Showed us to our room and showed us how to work everything. The location was great (5-10 minute walk from Castle and Royal Mile. Parking in secure lot was 6 pounds a day which is a great deal. Room and 2 bedrooms and a cot (crib) was already in one of the rooms upon arrival b/c a i called ahead. Wife left very expensive jewelery in the room on accident the day we checked out and we called and the staff went up to the room and collected it for us and kept safe at the front desk until we returned from exploring the city. Will definitely stay again.

Brilliant service, warm welcoming and so very friendly and helpful! We were given a free upgrade from a one bedroom apt to a 2 bedroom superior, free of charge and without request! Very spacious, comfortable, clean, and with everything you could possibly require for a short stay. Complimentary bread milk orange juice and cereal too. We wanted to visit the zoo so we were given a map and directions by the receptionist, who was more than happy to help, to a bus stop close by to take us directly to the Zoo as it was the cheapest and most convenient option. On our last day we checked out and after paying for 2 nights parking, were welcomed to leave our car in the car park free of charge for the rest of the day until we were ready to go back home. Cannot fault them in the slightest... !! :)

Fab service, allowed us to check in at 11.30 as arrived then with 6 month old. Upgraded to a 2 room apartment even though had only booked a 1 bed. The staff couldnt have been more friendly or helpful. Great breakfast hamper. V central modern apartments with onsite parking but sadly close to a couple of strip clubs (only negative of a great place). Would definitely go back!

Brilliant hotel. Will definitely stay again. Short walk to castle. Very warm welcome - was able to check in at 10am to wait for my sisters to arrive. Complimentary breakfast basket, tea coffee etc. lovely lovely staff.

apartments imaculate and first class. staff very friendly and helpful. private car park at back of apartments and very reasonable.

What a cool place. We got a 2 bedroom apartment. There was milk in the frig, cereal and a loaf of bread in the kitchen. It was clean. It is a good location but there are two strip clubs next store. There was no noise pouring out of them. They were just there.

The hotel was wonderful with excellent service. It was difficult to find initially and the GPS had us going in circles several times before we finally saw a sign for the hotel parking lot. We were there with our three kids so weren't thrilled about the strip club two doors down. However, the apartment was very comfortable with every amenity we could possibly need. Very nice... wish we could have stayed another couple of nights!

The service could not be better. The guys in reception could not be more helpful and friendly. Accommodation was very nice, everything you can think of was available to us. This will be the only place where I will stay when in Edinburgh again.

The welcome pack, even though we knew about it in advance, was a great bonus and provided more than enough for breakfast for the duration of our stay (3 nights in total) It is just up the road from a Sainburys for all other requirements. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was good, very close to the Grassmarket/Castle and about a 10 minute walk to Princes Street however I would not walk the area alone at night. Overall for a group stay I would highly recommend the Knight Residence

The Knights Residence is lovely, comfortable, and has a wonderful staff.It was fairly conveniently located. However, I did not like being in an area surrounded by strip bars/clubs, including one 2 doors down. Lots of signs about lap dancing, & more. I doubt that I would have chosen it had I known about the many strip bars. Of course, that could be an appeal for some people. There is a grocery store very near, and the train stations are about a mile away.

The location of the hotel is good and everything is within walking distance so no need for taxis. But there are a couple of strips clubs on the same road and the location is very noisy at night. Unfortunately, I was rather disappointed with the accomodation and I would definately not agree it is 5 star - 2/3 star is more like it. It just doesn't have the added extras that you get at 5 star accomodation. The decor is tired and is in need of a revamp. Daily maid service was lax - one day she didn't bother at all and another day left us without loo roll. If you want a basic centrally located apartment then this is fine but don't expect luxury accomodation!

Great personal service, concierge was great and provided all info required for an enjoyable and trouble free stay. Rooms were modern, clean and stylish. The kids loved the DVD selection and the hot chocolate machine. Short walk to eateries on grassmarket and only a few minutes more to the royal mile. Not a huge problem but worth mentioning is the close proximity of several 'adult entertainment' venues, they really are not an issue once inside the knight residence - no noise etc, but of course the kids wanted to know what they were... All said it was a great stay and I would not hesitate to recommend it!

We really enjoyed this hotel. We were a group go 5 friends attending a conference at the convention centre and this was financially friendly accommodation that was within walking distance.

We thought the location was fantastic and so close to all the major attractions.secure parking at the back of the hotel an added bonus.. The residence was very comfortable and the staff we met could not have been any more helpful.highly reccomend if your considering a stay in Edinburgh.

Efficient friendly accommodating staff, had our room ready early after an overnight flight, generous welcome basket in room of basics (bread, cereal milk juice) fully equipped apartment with all amenities. Highly recommended.

Very clean, roomy, and comfortable, and the staff are amazing! It is only about 3 blocks to grass market, a little farther to the Castle. Taxis are cheap and the front desk can have one to you within a minute or two at the most. A great place to stay.

The Knight Residence was the best stay of our trip across europe! The staff were very warm, welcoming, polite, and helpful. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed and more. The serviced apartment was also near the city center and there were restaurants and convenience stores nearby for a late night snack. On the hind side there were about 3 strip clubs within a 50m radius of the place, so that was not very pleasant to us or even to families. Other than that, The Knight Residence is an awesome place to stay!

A fantastic serviced apartment steps from The Grassmarket and Royal Mile. All the comforts of home and a very friendly and helpful staff ensured a great visit to Edinburgh. The only drawback was that we had walk past two or three strip joints to go anywhere - however, even these were reasonably discrete and didn't interfere with our journeys.

Location is spot on, only a few minutes walk away you can see the breathtaking view of Edinburgh Castle. In terms of shopping everything is nearby. We had Sainsbury Local just a few minutes away plus a few takeaways including most importantly Halal food. Be-aware of the strip clubs within the close proximity of the apartments. Walking is recommended but with an infant we took our car to places further than 30 mins walk. The apartment itself was amazing with the kitchen all stocked up. First time booked an apartment and I wasn't disappointed at all. Will definitely use again. Nice one Knight Residence.

Save for an ongoing problem with the washer/dryer in our apartment, we thoroughly enjoyed every other aspect of our four-night stay at the Knight Residence. Our one-bedroom "comfort" apartment was located in the annex, very quiet and removed from Edinburgh's hustle and bustle during festival and Tattoo season. Service was gracious and attentive (many thanks especially to Kevin and Chris), and the generous welcome basket that awaited us fufilled our breakfast needs.

Hotel staff is extremely friendly, the location is “THE BEST” however it promote itself as five star apartment , it is not!! It is comfortable, well equipped, in a great location.

our family of 3 were able to have more room here, including a kitchen than a traditional hotel, we utilized the pull-out couch. Charlie brought up the linens, pillows and extra towels, robes shortly after our check-in when we informed him our son would also be staying with us. The surrounding strip-bars were not a problem. Grassmarket and castle nearby. I would recommend Maggie Dickson's pub. had great curry, steak and ale pie and fish and chips.

We stayed for 6 nights and everything worked out perfectly. The staff were extremely helpful. The rooms were clean and the kitchen fully stocked. We would have no hesitiation in recommending it to anyone.

It was our first time in Edinburgh for the Fringe and we booked The Knight Residence mainly for its high recommendation on Hotels.com. We were not disappointed. Situated in a great location in the Old Town, all of the main Fringe venues were within 15 mins walking distance. The apartment was modern and well equipped, well serviced with truly outstanding staff at Reception (thank you Murray and Kevin). There is a Sainsburys Local conveniently a few blocks away and a great little neighborhood bistro (Two Thin Laddies) a short walk away, perfect for breakfast. The Grassmarket is 5 minutes walk away with a wide range of bistos, bars and restaurants. And the Castle is on your doorstep! Perfect!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff who took care of us very well. Would definitely stay here again.e Close to Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle.
