The Knight Residence - إدنبرة

The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable and well located for sight seeing. The welcome on arrival ( a rainy day in edinburgh) was exceptional and very informative. We were given helpful advice on various things to see and convenient transport with a bus at the corner. No need to drive in the city. Internet access available was an excellent addition so we could easily email home. On our return to Edinburgh in the future we will only stay at The Knights Residence.

The apartment (2 bedroom/2 bathroom) was spacious (living room and separate kitchen/dining area) and a welcome respite after staying in a small hotel room in London. Everything was emaculate and very comfortable. Easy walk to Grassmarket and stairways for to access the castle and Royal Mile were nearby.

These apartments were perfect for a girly 2 days in Edinburgh. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Good size apartments. Fully functioning kitchen with goody breakfast box (we cheated and went out for dinner). Everywhere is walkable. Huge DVD range if you've time and amazing sound system in loung/bathroom!!We'll be back!

Excellent apartments situated in the Grassmarket area of Edinburgh. First time using these apartments but won't be the last - excellent staff.

My youngest daughter and I were visiting my eldest daughter, who is studying at St. Andrews University. We came to Edinburgh for the weekend. After being in a very small dorm room all year, I thought it would be a nice treat for her to stay in a serviced apartment, with some extra space for the weekend. The apartment was great. Lots of great amenities and reception staff were very kind and welcoming. It is a short walk to lots of restaurants and a short taxi ride to Princess Street. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Edinburgh

Perfect for all our needs - a warm welcome, great accommodation and useful breakfast items which included bread, cereals milk and OJ etc. For that extra space rather than a hotel room this type of apartment gives a cosy alternative.

Not one to wax lyrical about hotels - most of them are a huge let down - not this one. High class service, warm welcome, stunning apartments and pretty convenient for the city centre. I knew this place would be good when the duty manager (Christopher) had to show me how to stream my ipod music into the bathroom! Great stuff. DVD rental facility, welcome box of cereal, milk, bread etc. Just zero hassle. If I had to whinge about anything, it would be that the street outside which was quite noisy, but what do you expect from the middle of Edinburgh. Loved it - thanks.

We have used the Knight residence on a number of occasions before. The choice this time was based on its location, the quality of accommodation and the fact that we could share a two-bedroom apartment with a couple of friends. What stands out is the level of service provided by the concierge team. They simple couldn't be more helpful or polite. Whilst the immediate surroundings aren't particularly attractive the apartments are only a short distance from the Grassmarket, with numerous pubs and restaurants. Castlehill is only ten minutes walk, from which you can walk down the remainder of the Royal Mile and easily get to the New Town. The accommodation was quite spacious enough for the four of us, with a big enough kitchen. We were provided with a starter pack, which contained tea and coffee, cereals and so on - saves going to the shop on the first day. There's a small supermarket only fifty metres away for anything else. Finally, we thought this was very good value for the accommodation provided and would have no hesitation in using it again.

This hotel is brilliant! So close to the city centre, a couple of streets away from the castle. It's close to all amenities/ shops, cafes etc.. The staff are wonderful, polite and courteous, the rooms are spacious and clean. The choice of being able to eat in your apartment or go out is much better than in many hotels. We would happily return here for future visits & recommend the hotel to others.

Just a lovely place to stay. Comfy huge apartment. Amazing service. Huge DVD selection! In a great location for walking into centre/castle. I wouldn't stay anywhere else - just perfect. I just wish my family and I always stayed in places as great as this!

Fab service...lovely apartment ...but unfortunately the cleaner hadn't been on top form before we went in ! Had to hoover the place before I could let my kids play on the carpets.....kitchen and bathroom also not up to 5* standard of cleanliness :(

What a brilliant stay! A very friendly welcome from all members of staff. Nothing was too much trouble, the apartment was spacious, clean and cosy. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and as we were shown to our apartment, we opened the door to al lovely christmas tree, very thoughtful touch. Found the area fine, and everything was in walking distance. Fantastic place to stay, and would definately stay again. Well done Knights Residence!

This was our second stay at Knight's Residence, and the only negative thing I can say is that the beds are a bit hard. They have thought of everything to make your little flat feel like home for your stay in Edinburgh. They supply detergent for your washing machine and dishwasher, and they give you a little welcome basket full of goodies. The staff is friendly. The rooms are very clean. The location is convenient to the Royal Mile and places to buy food.

We booked The Knight Residence as it was the best priced, top rated result in my search for accommodation in Edinburgh. At first I didn't fancy an Apartment, but having recently suffered envy of a colleague who stayed in one in Paris we gave it a try. It's a great place - probably the friendliest welcome I've ever had and the staff were super helpful throughout. The surrounding area is a little odd - lots of clubs catering to the stag party crowd, but this doesn't detract from the pleasure of Knight Residence at all. Grassmarket, the Castle and lots of great pubs and restaurants are within easy reach and there's a Sainsbury's local round the corner if you need supplies. The Blue Blazer pub just round the corner was the best pub we found during our stay with a great selection of real ales and an interior full of warmth and character. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice hotel. spacious rooms. 2 min walk from the Grassmarket with great pubs/ live music. My second visit here and I will definitely stay here at the Knight residence again.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful but the apartment was very dated and could do with a deep clean.

We only stayed at the Knights Residence for a night but we'e definatley coming back for more. The staff couldn't have been more helpful particularly as we had boxes which were sent in advance of our arrival. They kept the boxes and informed us that they had arrived and even helped us carry them to the car.

All 5* except the noisy xtractor fan in the bathroom, I'm sure will be fixed for the next guest

I can't wait to go back to Edinburgh to stay here again. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There is not a single thing I would change about this hotel.

Our family group of 7 rented 2 2br- able to make breakfast (market right down the street open late), have room to spread out. Apts clean and well-stocked, even washer/dryer. Fairly close to castle, grassmarket area. They even have DVDs, books available. A great stay.

A very comfortable 2 bedroom 2 bathroom well equipped apartment in a central location,great staff and clean with parking

Warm welcome and very friendly staff. Very convenient to all areas of central Edinburgh with all the comforts, overall a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

We spent 10 nights there and would definitely go back. The staff is absolutely wonderful and so accomodating, friendly and helpful. The apartment is in walking distance of the Grassmarket, and the Royal Mile. It is also very spacious and well-appointed. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!

IT WAS GREAT. WILL DEFINITELY STAY THERE EVERY TIME IN EDINBURGH. WE TRAVEL A LOT AND THIS HOTEL WAS AS GOOD AS PLACES WE HAVE PAID MORE THAN DOUBLE TO STAY AT. IT IS CLOSE TO ALL THE GOOD PLACES TO VISIT.

We spent a night there with three children for a theatre trip at the beginning of January, having stayed at the Knight Residence a number of times before, and it lived up to its usual high standards on all fronts. Can't think of anything negative to say!

This was a truly great place to stay! The staff was the most helpful of any hotel we have ever stayed. Lost baggage, New Year's Eve dinner reservations, they were great with everything. We were there with our two teenagers. It was great having two bedrooms, living room and kitchen for everybody to spread out. The hotel is off the main street so it is quiet for sleeping but a short walk to almost everywhere. We spent eight nights there and did not want to leave.

We visited from Australia and absolutely loved The Knight Residence. After travelling for a little while, it was a great place to rest and unwind, a home away from home with lots of space and was also very close to all main attractions in central Edinburgh. Very attentive staff and did not want for anything at all in terms of the accommodation. Very comfortable in every way.

Had a great one night stay here- very friendly reception, including a tour of the room and it's many facilities. The two bedroom apartment had pretty much everything needed for a comfortable stay, including full set of pots and pans, cooker, dishwasher, complementary tea/coffee/cereal/milk/bread/butter, toileteries, DVD player, hi-fi etc. For the price a normal hotel room would pale in comparison. 10 min walk to the castle, 15 mins walk to shopping/main restaurants etc. Thoroughly recommended.

My daughter & I loved this hotel. The only negative was the noise of late night pub-goers on the street.

We definitely plan to go back, staff were excellent. It was home away from home. Very comfortable stay. We had seen some reviews mentioning the nearby clubs and we stayed on the ground floor but had no problems with street noise or passers by. Excellent place to stay, 10 mins walk to edinburgh castle and the royal mile.

Overperformed in every area. service was phenomenal. location great for walking Edinburgh- beware, located next to gentleman's club- never a problem for me and my kids though.

We stayed at the Knight Residence for 3 wonderful nights in July 2010. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, even allowing us to check in slightly early after arriving in the morning from the US. The rooms themselves were adequate if slightly small, but very clean and very comfortable. The kitchen had a washer/dryer and dishwasher, and with a Sainsbury's around the corner it was a breeze to stock up on food. Edinburgh itself was surprisingly walkable from the residence - we made it to the castle in about 30 mins with a one-year old in a stroller and a three-year old on foot! I would stay here again without hesitation and overwhelmingly recommend it to others.

This was the best place we stayed at during our two week vacation in Europe. It was so comfortable, and such a break from our touring, that I'm afraid we didn't take advantage of seeing as much of Edinburgh as we should have. It did rain the entire time and that also contributed to our not wanting to leave our comfortable apartment! I can't say enough about the two concierges. Both so nice and personable. Everything has been thought of at this place to make your visit pleasant.

It's an excellent facility, well run and clean . The one big drawback is the noise of traffic in the street if you have a window open and the noise when they all bale out of the lap dancing bar and strip club a few doors down at 2 and 3 in the morning

This was an ideal location right in the heart of Edinburgh. The apartment was spotless and very well equipped. Staff were very helpful. I will certainly use this place again

Was very satisfied with the Knight Residence. Was a lot nicer than anticipated. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were cleaned every day. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh. Price was right also.

The attention from the Knight Residence staff was excellent but not overbearing, the room was very spacious and comfortable, and the location near the Edinbourgh Castle, museums, and shopping was excellent. I plan to stay there on my next visit,
