Nice Hotel. Got a great deal on Hotels.com. Nice space. Pillows are a bit hard, but other then that, great place to stay!

Booked this hotel based on reviews. Was not disappointed. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Short walk from Metro station. Great neighborhood restaurants also a short walk. Breakfast was sufficient to get you started on a great day of sightseeing. All the staff was pleasant and our room was just as we had expected. Clean room and a comfortable bed. Would stay here again!

Everything about this hotel was perfect. First off, we were picked up at the airport by the complementary shuttle and taken to the hotel which was less than a 5 minute ride. We arrived at 11am and proceeded to check in even though their check in time is at 3pm. The room was spotless and came with everything we needed. It's honestly hard to get a better location for the price than this hotel. The breakfast every morning was delicious and always plentiful. They even put out complementary fruit and cookies at night! It was less than a 5 minute walk to the Crystal City Metro which took you right into D.C. There was multiple restaurants and a CVS within walking distance. Everyone on the staff was very nice and professional. Our flight back wasn't until 8pm and check out time was noon, but they went above and beyond by letting us keep our luggage at the hotel until we were ready to leave. If I ever make it back out to Washington, this will be the hotel I stay at!

Overall the stay was fine. My biggest problem was with the service. When I arrived at the airport and called for the shuttle I was told it would be 15 mins. Well it wasn't. I waited for an hour when I could have gotten there and started my day so much sooner if I had taken the Metro. I had to call the desk twice and the woman/women who answered the phone was not/were not friendly or at all apologetic when I finally did arrive. That left a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of the time I was there. The second day of my stay I had to come back to my room to change in the afternoon and when I got in the heat was on full blast. The maid had turned it on the highest setting even though it was 90 degrees outside. Who does that!! It felt hotter in the room than it did outdoors. And when I went to the desk to ask for this not to happen again....again the front desk worker was unapologetic and actually smirked while I was telling her what happened. More bad taste left in my mouth. The only front desk workers I encountered that were decent were Anne and the man who I think was the manager. Now....having said all the negatives, there were some positives: breakfast was good with a lot of choices, 24 hour coffee/tea/cocoa in the lobby, clean room, the beds were comfortable, there was free wi-fi, and the hotel is located a 3 minute walk from Crystal City Metro station. The area was mostly offices and hotels and was very close to the airport without any airplane noise.

Everything was better than we expected, will highly recommend and we will repeat our stay with this hotel

All amenities as promised. Free wifi in rooms, nice breakfast with hot eggs, bacon and sausage plus all the trimmings. Airport shuttle was nice, but needed to call the hotel to arrange a pick up at airport. Liked the free cookies in the evening. For exercise, cruised the Crystal City underground. Nice places to eat within a long block.

I spent one night at the Hampton Inn and was very impressed. My room was large and attractive with a comfortable bed. It was equipped with a microwave, sink and refrigerator and so it would be great for a longer stay. Breakfast was pleasant and abundant.The price was very competitive. And it is right near a Metro station.

Close to the Metro Station - so easy to get to National Mall and other tourist spots. Good neighborhood type restaurants within a couple of blocks as well as conevenience store and a CVS. Breakfast was great & a good variety of selections.

Fabulous hotel and courteous staff. Great breakfast and can fit large groups. Definitely worth the price. Not long walk to Crystal City Metro station. Highly recommend.

Great location. Safe walk to Metro. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would return!

We stayed 5 nights whilst seeing the sights of DC the complementary breakfast was a good start to the day with hot and cold food. The room was clean and comfortable and the front desk staff were very helpful

We stayed in a King Suite which was roomy, comfortable and affordable. The only negative comment we have is no towel bars in the bathroom and tiny waste baskets. Location was very convenient to Metro, and hotel has a shuttle to take you to local restaurants or shopping centers as well as pick you up from the airport.

The location of this hotel was excellent as it was very close to the metro station. We used mass transit the entire time we were there. The hotel is being renovated so the breakfast area was very small. I did not find the hotel to be noisey as other reviews noted. Parking was an extra 15 bucks per day which I didnt know about..but that was my fault. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The AC worked most of the time..but we had a couple problems with it. The club chair in the room was disgusting with stains all over it. Otherwise the room was clean. The bathroom was almost new. Breakfast was typical of this kind of hotel. I'd probably stay here again.

We were pretty satisfied with the Hampton Inn for the amount we paid. The location is a bit far from the tourist attractions in DC, but the metro station isn't too far away from the hotel. The room and linen was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly enough. We did not take advantage of the pool but it was nice to have complimentary coffee 24/7 and breakfast (which was average). Nothing blew my mind with this experience, but nothing awful stands out either. All in all a good stay for a traveller on a budget.

Location was great. Short walk to subway to get to tourist attractions. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lobby was partially under construction, which was inconvienant. Breakfast was fair. Room was too small and crowded which made it difficult to get your food and drinks.

I did a LOT of looking at hotels all over the DC area before booking with the Hampton. Metro proximity was important, and the Hampton a couple of blocks from Crystal City station. Parking fee is reasonable but what I saved on breakfast for a family of 4 made up for the parking fee. We stayed in a double room, and I would get a king suite with a sofa bed next time. The double beds are very small doubles, and unless you're small, it's going to be tight sharing a bed. My husband had to learn to sleep with an elbow hanging off of the side of the bed. Overall, the room was pretty comfortably sized, even with 2 adults and 2 children. Faced the street, but still quiet. One complaint is the pool. They have it closed for most of the day (even though the hours say it’s open) because they have a "lifeguard" there when it's open. There was a guy in a lifeguard uniform in the corner, but the only time he ever looked up from his phone was when he took a phone call, then it was right back to texting. I don't think he ever actually looked at the pool once while I was there. Meanwhile, in the tiny pool there were large teen boys jumping on each other, nearly landing on my 9 year old, and generally making the pool unusable to children because the teens were wild all over it until they drove out several families, including my own. If you're going to restrict my access to the pool because the hotel wants the safety of a lifeguard, then they need to actually have one that does his job.

Very comfortable hotel. Excellent HOT breakfast. Super convenient to Metro (subway). They have a pool but no spa; would have been a nice extra. Most definitely will stay there again.

The hotel is very conveniently located within a 5-minute shuttle ride of Reagan Airport and 1 1/2 blocks from a Metro station. The hotel shuttle to the airport had a reasonable wait time (10-15 minutes); however, when I requested a pickup from the Metro station and a nearby restaurant (because I had hurt my knee), I waited 40 and 60 minutes, respectively, and ended up taking a taxi in the latter case. The complementary breakfast offered a lot of variety. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. There was a constant roaring noise in the bathroom, coming from exposed pipes above the sink, which made it hard to go to sleep. I was on the top floor, maybe the HVAC unit was right above my room?

The hotel was only about 2 blocks from the Metro station. There was construction going on in the lobby so breakfast was in a cramped room and the food was not that great, but I felt like the location could not be beat. The people were all very nice and the room was clean and pretty comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

nice first 2 days, but then all the school groups and sport groups came in. you couldn't get close to breakfast and don't even think of moving through the lobby with large groups hanging out there each morning

Most helpful, accommodating staff. Useful amenities ... Wi-fi, fitness center.

Took hotel shuttle to Fashion center where we picked up the Metro or tour bus. Convenient!

Great location about 2 blocks from the metro, blue line straight to Metro Center. Love the Precor equipment in the fitness room (but a/c wasn't working in that room!) Breakfast buffet was good, fridge and microwave are nice, beds a bit hard, parking reasonable ($15 per night), overall a good experience. The only thing missing from the room was a safe. Didn't feel comfortable going off to the fitness room and leaving everything in the room but no safe to store valuables. Recommend the hotel install these.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Prompt service with problems and were resolved very quickly without any fuss. Really enjoyed my stay.

I have stayed here before and will again. My only suggestion would be to add to the breakfast. More donut/muffins and variety. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Pleasant hotel and staff. Heating /cooling unit somewhat noisy .

We're Hampton regulars and this location worked out fine. Location and ease getting into DC was easy - both for driving and Metro (2 blocksaway).Underground parking @ $15/day seems appropriate for.area. Allowing us to keep our car parked there after checkout so we could Metro back into DC was a big plus. We'd stay again.

The hotel itself was very nice except for a couple things. First, our toliet kept getting clogged (only going number 1) so we had to call the front desk multiple times. Second, the pillows are way to soft. I had to use two pillows and even then my head would be flat against the mattress. Third, the hotel staff at the front desk were not very helpful. We wanted to go to a very specific restaurant to eat. We didn't know where it was and it was around 7pm. The two front desk ladies flat out refused to tell us how to get there because it was "in the ghetto" and "couldn't get there from the Metro" and it was "horrible service" and "our food would come out wrong". We just settled for something else since they wouldn't tell us anything. We went there the next day and it was right by the white house (not the ghetto), it was amazing food and everything was 10/10. I don't know why they wouldn't help us out. Other than that, it was a nice stay. The Metro is around a 5 minute brisk walk away and you can get there underground to stay out of the cold. The breakfast was good and the items changed every day so you could have something different each time.

Hotel was close to the metro stop. Breakfast area was very crowded and some of the food not the best, but didn't choose the hotel just for the food. Enjoyed our stay.

Very nice hotel, conveniently located in Arlington, 20 minutes from the city center (Metro Center, ,L' enfant square). The room was very good and the breakfast even better.

We had an outstanding time. It was home away from home. Everything you needed was at your fingertips. Can't wait to go back. Great neighborhood.

We called the front desk for shuttle from airport, and it was there in 5 minutes. The desk clerk was terrific, and invited us to have breakfast which was still being served. He also gave us detailed information about getting around town. The room was large, clean, and we could not have been more satisfied.

Down the street from my preferred hotel and will serve as my primary backup when that one is not available. Great and helpful staff.

The manager was extremely helpful arranging a 4:30AM shuttle run to the airport. Best breakfast layout I've had for the last six hotels. Metro 1 1/2 blocks away, 1/2 dozen restaurants 1 block away, and car rental on same block. Next time I am in DC this is where I will stay; no question.

A Great place to stay that has easy access to major roads and a short walk to the Metro to get to all DC sites!
