Novotel Berlin Mitte - برلين

I requested and did get additonal pillows and comforter for sofa-bed ( which I was advised is all that Novotel has for 3rd person in party).The bartender in front lobby was a snob..You also should limit children's time on computers.. Adults were waiting while they played their games..

Berlin is an amazing place with so much history, Novotel was close walking distance to most and all you needed was to catch a sight seeing bus for the rest. Room service was good and room comfortable. Only disappointment was that internet was charged to your room and this is supprising considering most 4 star hotel is free. They did have two computers with free internet set up downstairs but you couldnt get on it with all the kids using it, even though it has 20 min time they renew and play their games non stop with no parent in sight!!!! for people needing to research or check e-mail was a real pain.

What impressed me most was the service level. All staff eager to help. Immediate urroundings not pretty bu walking dist to museums and 5 min taxi to everything else.

Very well situated for many of the main tourist attractions. First impression of the hotel was very poor - mostly because of a dirty room (hair and tide mark in the bath - whole room very dusty). Also didn't like having a dog under the next table at breakfast (I appreciate this might be a plus for some). However - service was helpful and friendly. On the whole suitable for the tourist break for whom location is key and will only really be sleeping and breakfasting in the hotel.

Very helpful staff, perfect buffet breakfast, comfortable slinet and clean rooms, worths for the money for sure! The location was 5 minuts walking distance o alexander platz. This hotel was a nice family option and we enjoyed staing there. However, there were some issues: the bathroom ventilation was not good enough, also the drain in the bathtub was placed under youtr feet which made it uncomfortable to shower.The room was a bit small for a family of four.

I've come to know and trust Novotel hotels as I know what I am getting when booking in Europe. And this one was no different. A 5 minute walk to the subway station (although it was closed the weekend I travelled) or you can take the bus from right outside the hotel to AlexanderPlatz (TV tower). It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the Berliner Dom also and the neighborhood was extremely safe walking with my wife and two small children. Underground parking available (15Euro per night)and the breakfast was outstanding. The only real criticism I would have is there is not really a lot in the immediate vicinity of the hotel for being social outside of the hotel bar.

Superb location from which to explore Berlin, underground 2 mins walk from hotel, excellent and friendly staff, great breakfast with a large range of foods to suit all tastes. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fabulous staff and service. Breakfast is to die for and the hotel and rooms are spotless and really well sized. All the sights can be accessed on the tour bus and most are within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is great value for money. Walking distance to many of the major sights, friendly service and clean. Even had complimentary slippers and bathrobe waiting in the room.

Excellent hotel! Very well located, near Alexander Platz and other places that we must visit. Novotel has the same standards everywhere. Staff very educated and ready to provide information and hints about the city. The rooms could be a little bit well cleaned.

Booked a room with sofabed for a trip with husband and 2 kids. Pros-Room was ideally placed, and spacious - close to U-bahn (about 200m), 10minute walk from Alexanderplatz center. Swimming Hall with Sauna right next door (not owned by hotel). Underground parking with the hotel available (but for 15Euro per day). Close to everything! Cons - sofa bed was very uncomfortable as springs could be felt through sofa. We placed two of the duvets on top and that solved the problem. We faced the street so there was some muted noise from traffic. Parking could be cheaper. Interent was 9Euro per 24 hours.

This is a great hotel for a family weekend or mid-week city trip. Rooms are standard and ours was a bit tight for the four of us, but the breakfast was excellent. There was a wide choice of foods and service was very good. The location is great, just a few minutes' walk from an underground station and within walking distance of a lot of the major sights. Although on a busy road, our room was very quiet. Hotel staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Excellent Hotel in Centre of Berlin

When we booked the hotel we didn't realize that it was located on the Museum Island in the very centre of Berlin. We arrived early in the morning and was hoping to be able to drop off our bags at the hotel. But when we arrived out room was empty and we could access it right away. The staff was very very nice and even offered us a free breakfast! What a great way to start our visit to Berlin!

Great hotel with friendly staff and great choice of food for breakfast. Our 13 and 9 year old were entertained with access to playstations and computers in the hotel lobby and first floor. Best feature was the central location next to Spittlemarkt station and only an 8 minute walk to museum island.

It is nothing special but like every Novotel you will find great service, nice clean rooms and a well maintained hotel. The charge for the internet WiFi which was very rare... it was the only hotel without free WiFi out of the 7 I was during my vacation. Nice breakfast buffet.

Good customer service. Breakfast is wonderful although not included. Our room was very clean and confortable.

- Their staff are very nice and knows English - Very kid friendly, they have welcome gifts for my children - Breakfast buffet was amazing with fresh servings of meat, bread, juice, coffee, cold cuts and much more - the main attractions of Berlin are within walking distance - this hotel exceeded our expectations, and made our stay in Berlin very memorable and special ! We stayed here for the first 3 nights of an 18 day Germany vacation. The breakfast was amazing, the room clean and the service impeccable. For the price - you cannot beat the location, and the general feel of the hotel. Well done! I would stay there again in a minute!

The hotel is a pretty decent value, since it's walking distance to so many attractions and the nearest U-Bahn station is about a 2 minute walk. The staff was very pleasant to deal with and they were always ready to suggest interesting sights to see (for example, if you're in Berlin on a Sunday, you MUST check out the market at the Mauerpark). However, I was seriously disappointed in the lack of reliable Internet access in the lobby. They have 2 computers that can be used for free, and they were both always in use when we stopped by to use them. Otherwise, you have to pay extra for wifi (which, on general principle, I refuse to do). Even if they couldn't provide free wifi throughout the hotel, it would have made a huge difference if it was at least available in the lobby. I was also disappointed that there were no irons or ironing boards in the rooms. That, in my opinion, is a must for any hotel, especially a multi-national brand like Novotel. In addition, while the bathroom was generously sized, the actual shower was far too small to get any shower-related activities done comfortably. Overall, the hotel was satisfactory, but I probably would not stay there again.

For my second visit to Berlin I chose Novotel, it turned out to be a great choice! Close to a lot of the main sights, we walked most of the time. There is also a subway only 2 blocks away. GREAT breakfast, friendly staff and great restaurants closeby at the cosy area of Nikolaiviertel. We never dined at the hotel but we enjoyed a great dessert and a glass of Wine, both tasted amazingly and the price was reasonable. The only downer was the bed, quite hard, as they usually are in hotels...

We loved it and enjoyed an excellent breakfast, which was the most expensive on this trip even with comparable offerings.

Very modern and clean. Large room and OK bath. Could easily accommodate more than 2 to sleep. Close to several restaurants right on & near the river, attractions within walking distance such as Berliner Dom and all of Museum Island. Walked back from Check Point Charley. Safe neighborhood. Free 20 minutes of (2) iMacs with internet in lobby.

No complaints - good value for the money, secure parking, wonderful breakfast.

The breakfast line is a nightmare, impossible to hold a serious professional conversation given the congestion and no business center. f you are in Berlin with the family, do stay in this hotel but if you are there for business - would recommend another as they seem to cater more to families.

Good location. Good restaurant and good food. Service at checkin and restaurant (evening food & breakfast) was very good and pleasant. We were in a family room and we found it verey comfortable and roomy.

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location- very close to the U-bahn. There was lots to see in Berlin and our days were often packed with activities. It was lovely to come back to a warm, comfortable and big room in the hotel to relax and unwind.

Nice hotel and very helpful staff. Good breakfast. However, room was too warm. And, although we could open the window, the room faced a main road and the traffic noise was very loud. If we'd known, we would have requested a room at the back of the hotel.

Two drawbacks were that the heating (aircon) appeared not to work properly, and the wi-fi is inadequate both in coverage and ease of access (on iPhone)

great location just a few mins walk from SpittleMarkt Ubahn and walking distance from Alexanderplatz. We asked at reception about whether we could get an english speaking TV channel (ie Sky News/ BBC news was all we wanted), were told it was channel 200 upwards, when this didnt work we went back to reception who told us they didnt have any english channels, however on the last day we were walking down corridor past a room with an open door and heard BBC news on the TV - felt really fobbed off by the staff, maybe because there was a conference on they seemed as if they couldnt be bothered with us. However this was the only negative point really, bar staff in the evening were great, check in and out was fine, room was spacious and clean (although no trouser press or iron, and very tight with the free coffee/ tea)......stay at 4* novotels frequently in the UK and this wasnt as nice but for the price and location it was very good value overall

The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the U Bann but it only around 20 minutes walk from The Brandenburg Gates. If I was travelling to Berlin again I would stay in this hotel & I will be recommending it to anyone looking for a hotel in Berlin. The Staff were very helpful.

Cannot really fault this hotel. Breakfast is pricey but then its easy to find a cafe elsewhere.The surrounding buildings may not be that attractive but there are great restaurants and bars within 200m, next to the river/ canal and Alexanderplatz is about 15 minutes walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Helt greit hotell for deg som vil bo litt unna styret i Kudamm og sentrum. To minutter å gå til det svært sjarmerende Nikolaiviertel, Berlins eldste bydel, med svært trivelige butikker ig restauranter. elva Spree like bak hotellet. Flott utsikt tik Berlinerdomen og Fernsehturm hvis du får rom litt opp i etasjene og mot riktig side. Veldig bra frokost!!

Ett enormt gästvänligt och trevligt hotell med super läge! All personal var lika positiva, glada och trevliga, Vi hade bokat 2 vuxna & 2 barn och fick ett rymligt rum med en dubbelsäng och en dubbelsoffa och i badrummet var ett badkar, perfekt för två små barn efter en dag i Berlin. Det var lite trångt att få plats med babysängen, men det gick. Frukosten hade vi förbokat och var helt klart värd sitt pris! Den var öppen mellan 06:00-10:30 så det var ingen stress...Vid 9-tiden var det peak, så jag kan rekommendera att äta innan eller efter. Personalen i restaurangen var oxå mycket trevlig!

Virkelig centralt beliggende hotel for storbyferie i Berlin.

Bra hotell, inget att anmärka på. Låg lite avigt till även om det var centralt, tog en stund att knata dit man skulle. Men det var ju iof billigt med taxi så. Trevlig personal.

Rigtig fint hotel. Flotter morgenbuffet kan man ikke finde - fantastisk. Ligger centralt med u-bahn 'Spittelmarkt' tæt på. Et stenkast fra Nikolai Viertel som er et hyggeligt spiseområde. Ca. 500 m til Unter den Linden. Underholdning for børn i lobbyen, hvor der også er pc til fri afbenyttelse.
