everyone was incredibly helpful, the hotel coudnt be any closer to the famous Pier 39 . it was a little old fashioned, but very clean, and perfect for us. It was reasonable priced, I thoughly recomend it

Yes, the Wharf Inn is right in the heart Of Fisherman's Wharf, but unfortunately was not the hotel they advertised. They said the rooms were newly remodeled. They may have gotten newer pictures on the walls, but the rooms themselves are outdated. The bathroom door wouldn't even close all the way. I have a two year old, and no safety latch on the top of the front door was unsafe. The walls seem to be paper-thin, since we could hear conversations in other rooms. The television did not work well. They had no paper channel guide, nor one within the television. That was a challenge, since I don't live in the area. The fact that parking at the hotel was free, was an asset. But other than that, I will not return to The Wharf Inn.Sorry, wish I had a better review to share.

We were a little dubious about this property but actually it turned out to be a great spot. The rooms are clean and ours was quiet (depends on which room you've got). Very centrally located and most wharf sites are easy walking distance. I'd be a little more cautious during the summer months when the "no air conditioning" could be a problem.

Near the Warf, Embarcadaro, lots to do and see in the area. Parking included a bonus for SF. Could use a mini 'fridge, no place to store leftovers!

If you like to see and walk the pier and warf, this loacation i steps away.

Location was wonderful. Rooms were clean and staff was very accodating. No problems at all and no extras either.

I would definitely stay here again. So close and convenient. I see other comments on here about this hotel about noise but I didn't hear any. We just left the heater fan on all night and it covered up any sounds. They let us check in 3 hours early with free parking and stay there 3 hours after check out with free parking. Keep in mind this was all on a week day when we stayed there

You can't beat the location of the hotel; but expect the room to be noisy. The parking is free; that's a $15-25 saving per day. The manager also told me that we are allowed to park till 5 PM the next day, even though the check out time is 11 AM.

Free parking and close to everything.Motels is very basic and not to modern.But for the price and location you cant best it.

Good value for the money! Stayed 4 nights nad really liked it. Minus for no safetybox.

Above all this hotel is in a fantastic location for seeing many of the notable attractions. Easy walking distance to Pier 39. The godsend was the free parking which is very rare in San Francisco. Rooms were a bit dated, small bathroom, but cosy at the same time. The corridors did get a bit noisy however. Rooms facing the street were especially noisy from passers by on the street and other guests. Overall, great value for money as long as you are not looking for luxury.

Good hotel in a great location. Room was modest but clean and comfortable. I would have rated this hotel a 4 or 5 if it were not for the extremely rude registration clerk.

Hotel is a bit old and dated, but clean and well kept. Plenty of free coffee available. Very central to the wharf area, safe off-street parking. I'd go back again.

The room was older, but clean. The chair showed some years of uses. You do have the city noise, but you are in the city. For over night its a good place for more time i would go ahead and pay the $100 more. All and all I would say "ok".

Fantastic old style Motel. Comfort at a decent price. Excellent staff. Free coffee and papers. Shame there was not a breakfast but plenty of eateries around. Close as you would wish to be to the Wharf.

The Wharf Inn is completely no frills. It is basically a motel however the staff were great, the room was very comfortable and cleaned every day if not every time we left. It is VERY close to Fisherman's Wharf and has the F line running right across the street. Our room was a bit noisy at night since it did face the trolley stop but I am a sound sleeper and that didn't bother me. Also to note, there is no air conditioning. There is a good overhead fan and I was quite comfortable at night but if you are in the room during a warm day you'd likely want to keep the door open to let in some air. Really it was a great bargain and the location itself meant more savings...we were in walking distance of plenty of great food and entertainment and the transit meant no need for excessive expensive cab rides. Had a wonderful time.

Great value hotel, a little old but very clean and tidy. Staff were terrific, water views and free parking all at a really good price. Our only hassle was there is no air con and it was really hot in SF when we were there.

1) Its the best location for the money. Includes free parking, that's very rare in the area. 2) Noisy at night. Ask for the top floor and make sure you do NOT face the street. There are endless truck action at 5am... garbage trucks picking up dumpsters...not to mention the loud beeps when they are backing up. Then the very loud street sweeper went by twice. Trucks off loading goods etc etc. I brought ear plugs but still wasn't good enough. Plus you can hear other customer roller their luggage along the outside walkway and into their rooms (if they're above you).. BUT I would recommend the motel and stay there again myself. The staff was excellent. Room was very clean and large. Motel books up early in summer.

The Wharf Inn helped make our visit to San Fran memorable. It was an excellent value, and less than a block away from the action on Fisherman's Wharf. Free parking and coffee!!!!! The front desk personnel was very helpful, too. The only drawbacks I experienced was the view, of a block wall and how uncomfortable the fold out couch was. I would stay there again in a minute.

Great Service. Great location to everything. The service was very aware of all the areas interests. Very informative. We dealt with Jen. Clean room. Noise level was low considering the area. Would stay there again!!!!

Beautiful motel right in the middle of everything. Would definitely stay there.

The room was nice but a little noisy in the evening that we were there. I love the fact that we could walk to anywhere we wanted within a few seconds.

Our room was surprisingly quiet despite being located in the middle of the action. Convenient to everything and friendly staff. The hotel is older but clean and everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

An excellent place to stay within spitting distance of the Fishermans wharf and pier 39. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but plenty available in the reception. The only problem was noisy guests in the room above us, who woke us up 3.30am with slamming doors and stomping around with shoes on. A phone call to reception had them address the situation promptly and I would happily stay there again.

Excellent location approx. 100 metres from Fishremans Wharf. Car parking a plus. Downside- no fridge or coffee making machine although coffee,tea were available 24 hrs in reception

The location of this hotel is perfect. It is extremeley close to Fisherman's Wharf. It is right off the main street that is filled with restaurants, shopping, sight seeing, transportation and anything else you could want. Ghirardelli Square is only approx 3/4 walk from the hotel also. It is definitely a two star hotel though with the condition of the bathrooms and beauty of the hotel overall. The front desk has 24 hr coffee and the hotel is directly across the street from a 7/11 which is convenient. You can't beat the free parking too. They were very kind when we arrived 2 hrs before check in and allowed us to check in at that time as our room was already clean and ready. Our room looked out to a brick wall which was dreary but we were barely in our room at all so it didn't matter to us. This hotel is definitely worth staying at simply for the location. The hotel has discount tickets on some of the sight seeing tours and excursions at the front desk.

Free parking, great price, and great location-one block from pier 39 and everything else wonderful about fishermans wharf. We will stay here again.

The owners and staff were very friendly and the room was very nicely renovated. We didn't park, but the free parking is a huge bonus in a city where $25 a day is not unusual for parking. This hotel is very convenient to the major cable car and bus lines.

Rooms are a little small, but pleasant and clean. Our king bed was very comfortable. Our room was on the interior and was very quiet. We booked two nights online and stayed four more nights because it was a nice place, free parking, and great location.

this hoyel is a little old,but is very well kept.it is within walking distance of everything.the hotel staff was great.they showed us were everything was.great location.

Nothing fancy but a clean room about a 2 min. walk to Fisherman's Warf. Hotel lobby staff very courtious and helpful.

Location and free parking are great attractions for this hotel. The room was large, clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting San Francisco.
