The front desk clerk did not put me in the rooms that I booked. I booked four rooms with kitchens, refrigerators and stoves. But she placed us in rooms with small refrigerators and microwaves instead. I had to go back and ask for the four rooms that I booked instead.

My first visit in April in a different room was perfect. My second visit in a first floor room was disappointing, the microwave was filthy and missing the rotating tray. There were ants all over the fridge and counter.The phones in the room would not let me dial out. The tub and sink were not cleaned during my visit ,just looked like the maid made the bed and emptied the trash, no more.

Would recommend staying. Pleasant experience.

This was the worst hotel i have ever stayed at in my whole entire life there was bugs and dirt and lint in the bed and the rooms were too small and the location sucked and the rooms smelled bad and there was dried up food still in the microwave and the refrigerator smelled terrible and when i walked upstairs near the smoking rooms looking around i smelled people smoking weed in there rooms and the lady up front was no help to us what so ever and before knowing the bed was absolutely nasty i laid on it and then shorty after i felt itchy in my honest opion i think this hotel should be shut down it was terrible and we ended up leaving and staying in another hotel and i had to pay another 112$ and moving all my stuff over to another hotel at 2 in the morning DONT EVER STAY HERE.

While others have written a negative review for this hotel, I have nothing but good words! We had an amazing suite that included a very comfortable (and very clean) couch and bed. I loved the ease of the set up of the room! We came during the off season, so the pool was not available for use. This tiny issue was fine by us as we discovered that just on the other side of the freeway was the spaghetti factory and Monster mini golf (which turned out to be a really fun experience!). The hotel staff were decently nice and very to the point. We did have an issue at the end of the stay when the staff were confused about whether I had paid in advanced or not. But after 2 min, they had all the issues sorted. If you are in the area and need a place to stay, this is absolutely the spot! I would, in fact, recommend it as a smart alternative to paying for pricey hotels in Sacramento! So close to the capital, there is no need to stay in the city!

Water pressure in the shower leaves a bit to be desired.

I booked this hotel becuase it had everything I was looking for, a fitness center, a hot tub & pool, free breakfast, and a kitchenette, and it was a reasonable rate. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the place. There were strange smears on the curtains in my room, it looked like someone had a food fight. There were stains on the furniture and the pillows and sheets. They also seem to have an ant problem as everyday when I would return, there would be a few crawling on the trash can or on the counter - gross! Also the pool and hot tub were closed down so that was a bummer as well. I did enjoy the free breakfast and the location though!

The hotel amenitys were ok but we had no hot water for the first day and a half. I had an appointment and I had to take a cold shower. That was very inconvenient. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. They did credit the credit back for one day stay because of the inconvenience. I will stay here again. The rest was good and location was good.

Stayed here overnight on business. Room was very clean and presentable. Hotel staff courteous and efficient. Would be pleased to stay here again.

The condition of the room was old rundown and stunk of stale smoke. Very sparce on bathroom essentials. The shower curtain was to short to keep the water in the tub. The deadlock on the door was damaged and mis-aligned. The breakfast in the morning was inadequate. I would never stay there again.

stayed at different places in the area and for the money it offers a nice room and a fairly nice breakfast for the money, i recommend it.

Good place to stay ,Only complaint was a picnic table that seemed to stay occuipied all night by unknown persons outside our window on the first floor .So close we could hear the talking and carrying on .table needs to be moved ther should not be a meeting place for persons within feet of a motel picture window on ground floor

We booked this hotel about 4 hours before arriving and our room was ready when we got there. The staff was very friendly and our room was clean and very comfortable. Although there were no towels when we checked in to our room, a quick call to the front desk was all that was necessary and we had towels (warm from the dryer!) within 3 minutes. Large breakfast selection and a convenient location were added bonuses. We would stay here again. Very quiet surrounding area.

This hotel is a frequent stop for us. It is central to the wineries in Amador and El Dorado, close to shopping in Folsom and losts of outdoor activities.

Everything as expected. Poor maintenance tough.

these are suites with one king bed and a fold out sofa bed, and kitchenette. The bed was comfortable, but the sofa bed was miserable, the mattress needs to be replaced badly, there was a huge wad of dirty sheets and blankets with stains left on the sofa, I guess that's what I was supposed to use to make the bed, I put them on the floor for housekeeping to take, they left them there for 2 days. Also, better lighting is needed, it's very dim.

It's satisfying to have a experience that totally meets my expectations. Hawthorn Suites was a satisfying stay

Sheets were torn, and I found a used staw that was all sticky, between the sheets when I pulled them back to go to bed

This was the second time I have stayed in this establishment. No complaints about the service. I only dealt wit the check-in and that was smooth. The room was a little different. The coffee pot had not been cleaned and still contained a used filter. No way to close the curtains, and light bulbs missing in the bedside lamps. Little things, but annoying.

I guess I expected it to be cleaner. I should have checked the bed sheets before I slept. In the morning there was a big stain on my top sheet. Kinda gross. I felt that the furniture was a bit not so clean also. And the air conditioner was so loud. The crazy thing is, I think I would stay there again, maybe. (Now that I know what to look for)

Beds are very comfortable, and rooms are fine. Although they have a kitchen, they really have no supplies to let you actually use the kitchen - almost no dishes, pots or silverware. No glasses except the two in the bathroom! The hallways and lobby could really use some air conditioning - hot and stuffy. The room was hot, but once I turned on the AC it cooled off quickly. It was fairly inexpensive so that was worth the price.

The motel was nice enough but the staff had lots of friends hanging around the hotel, most looked like gang members. Pretty unprofessional. I will not stay there again. Pretty strange place to stay.

Based on the ratings and written reviews, I thought I would get a very nice hotel at a bargin price - I got a bargin hotel at a bargin price. Room service was not good -

Room was nice and clean and they gave you a breakfast with a good selection of items. I would recommend this place.

I had my doubts as this hotel had the lowest rates in the area. However, it was clean and comfortable. Even the air conditioner was on! That's a great thing on a hot day in the valley. It was a good experience.

The Hotel Smelled bad. Hallways. Lobby and Dinning room very HOT. No, air on in Hallways, Lobby or Dinning room. I will say the Hotel looks clean but STINKS. Hotel, looks very nice on the Outside. For the room, Walked in to our room to a very take you breath away stinky spicy smell. Sheets was full of Long and short Black Hair and little dirty strains on Sheets. Wash and towels looked dirty stained. Coffee was not clean from last guest. Coffee had stuck tea bag label on it. We just felt uncomfortable and dirty in the room. I did being my own sheets and wash cloth. Oh and phone were gross. When you first walk in the room it looks clean (except for the smell) We did not eat in the Dinning room. Just because. I will not stay there again.

room is ok, I book non smoking room but was given smoking...breakfast was great. it was far from the sunflash water park it says only 9 miles away but it took us 25 minutes to get there and there is no other route.

I was pleasantly pleased considering the price I paid for my room. The place looks almost new, and the location was great, a nice quiet residential neighbohood. The staff was very friendly and accomadating. Very good complimentary full breakfast, with plenty of choice. Internet access in the lobby was also plus. If I'm ever in the Sacramento area again, I'll surely atsy here !!

About a year ago, I Jed to love this hotel for the value it offered in terms of the price it charged. But now a days, everything from the linen to the old pillows is uncomfortable. The showers don't function well, hot water wasn't working and the Internet, simply wouldn't work. And when it did, it was slow... I moved mid way from the hotel..there are other hotels in a 5 mile radius which charge about the same but offer so much more.

AC was not working; ceiling light was out; toilet seat was loose; elevator a little dirty: the rest of room satisfaction was good. might return at future date

The hotel is very nice, it is conveniently located next to highway 50, so it was very easy to locate. Plus it has a gas station and fast food restaurants located nearby. The onsite breakfast is a plus. The rooms were very roomy and comfortable.

The staff was nice & welcoming. Great surrounding neighborhood! The hotel smelled bad in the hallways, the elevator was filthy and our room looked like it had barely been attended to since the last customer. There are other details about the room that I'd rather not go into. The so-called breakfast was horrible and nothing was replenished regularly so many went without. Wouldn't recommend this place unless they get an overhaul of the cleaning crew.
