The Davenport Hotel and Tower - سبوكان

The staff were very friendly and prompt, good lunch and dinner specials, room was quiet on the 6th floor even though you are right downtown.

Awsome, but we thought we were booking the hotel, not the tower. It is very nice. Food & drinks great. We had Spa services and they were wonderful. We'll be back.

Beautiful hotel within walking distance of shopping, riverfront park, and event center. The Davenport bed is to die for!

Stayed in Towers... 1-King w/huge shower. Room was very nice. Had Dinner in the main hotel. very good, but pricey as expected.

for the price we paid i would expect more, a better shower for sure. the bed was the best part of the room but we've stayed in hotels that were much cheaper (compared to what we paid for this one) and had nicer accommodations in regards to the amenities of the room and especially the bathroom. We might go again but would not spend the extra money on the deluxe as we did not feel it was worth it. we did feel it was overpriced and didn't live up to the hype and reviews form friends that had stayed and recommended it.

Beautiful Hotel through and through. Great staff a luxurious stay...highly recommend. From the moment you arrive top notch valet, doorman, guest services everyone was so friendly and helpful. Loved the convienence of restaurants and Starbucks right in the hotel.

My husband and I stayed there for only one night at the tower. It was our anniversary so we treated ourselves. Beautiful place to stay for a romantic weekend getaway. The hotel picked us up for our Dinner reservation at Anthony's. Then after dinner they dropped us off at Gibliano brothers where we met a few locals and listened to the dueling pianos. We walked back to our hotel at the end of the evening only 2 blocks away. Would defnitely stay there again.

Beautifully appointed room. Excellent service. Very enjoyable stay. A definite repeat!

though we only stayed for one night, it was a great one!! as soon as you enter you see & feel the elegance!! def staying there again!

My husband and I spent 3 nights and our stay was great. We were able to walk to nearly everything which was a plus as there were at least 6 inches of snow. The restaurant in the Towers was a great value with excellent food. We enjoyed the fitness center and were sorry we forgot our bathing suits as there is a lovely pool, little used, but we were unable to locate suits within walking distance. A lovely hotel with very good service and amenities.

Normally, I don't stay in high end hotels. The only real reason we did this time is because it's a "last trip before the baby" type thing. That really doesn't change the fact that I would stay again in a heartbeat! We stayed with the idea that we would be able to walk to the proformance hall and the event we were attending. Being winter, the staff warned us that the hall was quite a ways to walk to in the snow, but there was a complimentary car service if we'd like to use it. We did and got great info about the hotel's history from our driver. I loved the beds! At 5 months pregnant, sleeping is starting to become something of the past. Well, not here! I wanted to take the bed home with me! (and you can for another $1800.) The room was quiet, as in we never heard another guest either in the hallway or room-to-room noise. Parking is paid by the night, but you can take your car in and out as much as you like. At this time, $20 for valet parking, $15 for self-park. I don't know where you go for self park, but the valet was wonderful and had the car instantly for us. Parking is paid at all of the hotels around this area, so you just have to know going in.

The Davenport Hotel Tower was lovely. We stayed there the first weekend of December, 2011, mainly to have easy access to the Fox Theater where my granddaughter was fortunately included in the Nutcraker performance. Great fun! We booked three rooms providing for family members ages 2 years to 90 years - everyone was happily accommodated. We made use of the pool, the bar, the snack bar, valet car service and took family pictures not only at the Tower but also in the beautifully decorated Davenport Hotel. One slight problem was seating for breakfast Sunday morning in the restaurant - a bit confusing; we were told we needed a reservation and that the wait would be about 45 minutes, while noticing the restaurant itself was not crowded, tables were available and other patrons were also being turned away. After about 20 minutes we were told that we could be seated afterall. We did enjoy our breakfast - our topic of discussion being that surely the Tower lost money that morning due to inefficient seating policies that were also inconsistent with the hospitality shown to us during our stay.

My wife and I travel a great deal and the Davenport is consistently the most disappointing hotel we've stayed at. A 4- star hotel should have impeccable service, not substandard care. With a highly reviewed restaurant downstairs, one should not expect their 'half roasted chicken' to cost $60, and consist of lumpy potatoes and a badly overcooked, salty, half a parakeet. Consistently, we have asked for our morning newspaper and not been delivered one. And when I take my wife out for a nice dinner and we want to take some dessert back to the room, I was unpleasantly surprised to learn we didn't even have a refrigerator. The Davenport is a lovely old hotel in Spokane and may very well be the nicest hotel in the area. The beds are wonderful, the showers expansive and it is right in the middle of the best shopping center in Spokane. But the customer service definitely takes it down from 4 to 3 stars, for us. Don't stay here if you are accustomed to staying at a proper 4 star hotel, unless you can accept going in that you will get sub standard care. I'm not a snob and I have stayed in some pretty rough hotels in my day. But I also got what I payed for by paying $30 a night. You don't get what you pay for here at the Davenport.

The best place that I have ever stayed inSpokane. Excellent room with three course meals for $15. Good locattion three blocks from Riverside Mall. The only bad thing is parking is $15 a night. A little high for Spokane

Close to the airport, easy to get to, nice restuarant close by. Comfy rooms, not as big as orginal Davenport but very comfortable.

It was nice seeing both the "old" side of the hotel and the "new" side. I stayed in the Tower across the street from the main hotel in an "African" motif. The bar, restaurant and ambience downstairs was wonderful. The staff on both sides were extremely efficient, courteous and friendly. They were also very knowledgeable about the area and helped us get the things we needed. The valet service is great and the people working there are very personable. The whole hotel - although older from a by-gone day - was extremely clean, neat and modernized in attractive ways. This should be the model from how hotels should be kept and run. If this isn't a five star hotel, it certainly lived up to five star expectations. Well done! And I hope to stay there each and every time I'm in Spokane!

Service was amazing. Staff always remember you through out stay. Beds were so comfortable, loved the bedding and pillows. HUGE shower with large comfy towels. Peacock lounge a must for cocktails. Will return to this hotel next time in Spokane

Really great accomodations. Loved the great service including the valet service. It costs $20 per night plus tipping but is well worth it!

This hotel is has a wonderful elegance, historic past built in 1914 and a comfortable atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised with the friendliness and efficiency of the valet. It would have been an incredible stay if the rest of the staff throughout the hotel had the same care and attention to their role as the valet attendants and doormen. They were quick with directions, always brought our cell phone to us if we left it in the vehicle and always did everything with a genuine smile. We were staying in Deluxe King located in the Davenport Hotel (not the Tower). Our room was nicely appointed and clean. There were a few items that were missing from the room that would have been greatly appreciated. There was no phone book or book from the hotel that suggests local restaurants or food that you can order in. You will not find a bar fridge. We found stationary, but no pen. The instructions are clear on the phone to make a local call, press 9 to dial out, except as soon as you press 9 it rings the front desk. It took 6 times before the front desk was able to fix this issue. The in-room movie rental service advertises that they have movies starting at $5.99 but once you try to purchase a movie the lowest price offered is $15.99. When we did order Chinese food one night because the in-hotel restaurant was completely booked with reservations, they called us from the lobby to say that we would have to come downstairs and meet the delivery man there. No one was willing to see the delivery man to our floor. The biggest disappointment for us was after our first night at the hotel we left our room at 8:30 am and returned after 8:00 pm to find the housekeeping light still on and that housekeeping had left for the day and hadn't touched our room. Our bed was not made, our garbage's were full, we had no fresh towels, this was very disappointing indeed. Fresh towels were brought to our room after calling the front desk. Went to Spokane for the holidays. Parents home was full with out of town visitors and we have a new dog, so we needed to find a place that would accept our pooch and be a pleasant place for us as well. Hotel staff was accommodating, facilities were clean and very comfortable. Surprisingly high end for hotel in Spokane and one that accepted pets as well. If they added bathtubs (very large walk in shower more than makes up for lack of bathtub) this hotel would compete with the best in New York, Chicago or LA. And its in Spokane - who would have guessed. If you stay here you will be pleasantly surprised.

we loved this hotel. the service was amazing - very nice. there's a towncar available to hotel guests, which is free within a 2 mile radius of the hotel. we used the service to get to dinner & back. the driver was lovely. parking is conveniently located across the street from the hotel. it's $15 a night for parking. the location of the hotel can't be beat - just a few blocks from the downtown mall lots of restaurants & shops. the only thing that was disappointing was the room service menu, we tried to order a late night snack. the selection was poor and the food was over-priced & not very good at all. i suggest that you eat outside of the hotel. there's a starbucks in the lobby, which is cool & handy. the hotel is a jungle theme, which my six year old really liked. everything is animal themed or leopard print (but in a classy way not tacky!) ... next time we'll try the historic Davenport across the street. we stopped in & it's really beautiful in there!!

As always, everything our stay at The Davenport was wonderful. Great location, great room, restauraunt, etc and most importantly, great service. The peolpe can't be beat.

Extremely friendly staff!

I want so much to love this hotel--but as nice as everyone is, and as nice a place as it could be, there are some shortcomings I have a hard time overlooking. It's a beautiful place and the rooms are very nice. Downtown Spokane is not exactly a place to meander through, so make sure you take the courtesy car if you're not familiar with the area. The rooms have neither fridge nor microwave, and for the price it seems a small thing to ask. The showers are spacious, the beds comfortable, but the rooms are comparatively small and, though it's a small thing, the bathrobes are scratchy and uncomfortable. The food from room service is awful. I don't expect room-service food to be great, but it was AWFUL. The entree I ordered (half a chicken) was either actually half a Cornish game hen--or the world's smallest chicken. It was also over cooked and extremely salty. I understand room service food is a bit overpriced in some hotels, and generally not 'fine dining' but there is an out-standing restaurant in the hotel lobby. There is no reason I should not be getting dinner-quality meals served to me in my room, and while I fully expect a 10-15% courtesy charge, sixty-five dollars for a scrawny, over-cooked chicken meal is lazy extortion. I've spent a total of four nights at this hotel. Each time, on check-in, they ask if I'd like a paper in the morning--each time I said yes. Four for four--no paper. The valets are courteous and the valet parking is wonderfully convenient. There is a courtesy car available that will take you to nearby locations so you don't need your personal car all the time, and the downtown Mall is only a block or two away from the hotel, on well-lit streets. Overall, this hotel is very nice for the area, but compared to other hotels with similar costs, it falls short by comparison.

We liked that the Davenport Tower was quieter and less busy than the main Davenport Hotel. The only thing it didn't have was a gift shop on site to buy the Soft Peanut Brittle. I had to go across the street to the main hotel. It was nice to have Valet and Check in at the Tower Building. I noticed a rip in the chair in the room, but it was on the inside and barely noticable.

This hotel is a must for anyone looking for a nice getaway. Gorgeous decor and the most comfortable beds of any hotel I've stayed in. The staff is amazing.

The hotel is as gorgeous and historic as can be. The beds are SO comfortable. The location can't be beat. The lighting was a little dim around the sinks, which made it a little hard to get ready, but nothing that couldn't be overcome. We also missed having a fridge, since we had some drinks we wanted to keep cold in the room. Again, nothing that couldn't be overcome - just a few little missing comforts.

Considering the price and prestige surrounding this hotel they could do a lot better job on presentation. We stayed in the towers which are OK but the room was nothing special, and customer service was average. Breakfast was a complete joke. Their signature bloody mary was watery and weak plus the prawn tasted a bit old. The eggs and ham were lousy as well...Even IHOP would win in a battle of breakfasts. Seriously the Davenport kitchen staff should have breakfast at the Northern Quest Casino...Now that breakfast is worth $15!!!

Hotel staff was extremely accomodating, helpful, and friendly. En route to the hotel, upon request, the Concierge made dinner reservations at a local reataurant, then I was able to add an additional room to my reservation. Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk with the nice smile upgraded the additional room at little cost. The hotel was very impressive, I almost forgot I was in Spokane.

Arrive and get told to go up the road, round the block, come back and find their other parking garage. Nightmare. Go back in the hotel and check in to be told you are in the tower. Go out again and cross the road and up the road to the tower (the overflow). Come out of the tower and walk down the road to the parking garage ! Gin and tonic in happy hour is $3 otherwise there is too much trekking around the various buildings and car parks. One staff member for a huge hotel check in ? Badly overworked. They have a flunky on the door but they should retrain him for desk duties. This hotel is too fragmented and under staffed.

Right in the heart of downtown Spokane, amazing staff and convenience. It was torture to get out of that super comfortable bed!

We stayed in the Safari Tower for just a night (WSU parents from CA) and we loved it. The room was spotless w/a tasteful animal theme. Robes, towels and bedding were comfy and plush. I do like that they have built in soap, shampoo, rinse and lotion dispensers instead of the tiny bottles of toiletries normally given. The walk in shower is large with no need for curtains that get in the way. Very green;) Everyone working there was young and friendly. They have a Starbucks counter downstairs if you chose to forgo a sit down breakfast. I did like the Safari restaurant downstairs. I would recommend this hotel and will be staying there again soon. Next month is parents' weekend.
