I stayed in room 304- the ‘cartoon room’ that was decorated by cartoonists who a attended a professional meeting in Bologna in 2010; unique decoration, one of a kind in the hotel.

Great location. I had the apartment, which was VERY spacious. Large bathroom & living area. WIFI was also excellent & included. Would stay here again anytime.

Very comfortable and enjoyable hotel well located to pop in and out of the sites and shops of Bologna.

Few more towels, especially hand towels would be nice, few more amenties.

For a four star, this place could do better. The staff was pretty ordinary with one or two exceptions, the breakfast room is disorganised and runs out at 9 o'clock (despite being said to operate till 10) and the rooms are small and plainly furnished. HOWEVER, the housekeeping is excellent and the location is wonderful. So, if you get a good rate, go forth; if not, you might want to think about elsewhere. It's not really up to a four star in my view.

The Hotel was in an excellent position. Most Restaurants seemed empty until about 9pm so not a lot of atmosphere if you eat earlier. Considering Bologna is reported as the Gastronomic centre, we were rather disappointed and would not recommend going for the food.

Excellent hotel staff. Very helpful to point out on map nice restaurants and sites close to the hotel. Breakfast was good each morning and restaurant was very good...opens at 8:00 PM at night.

I liked the central location. The room was clean and well equipped, though it was laid out a little strangely. It had a small kitchen and nicely equpped bathroom. Free wifi in the room was hard to get going, but for most of the stay there was another network that we got good reception on. (Don't tell anyone.) The TV didn't work, but we didn't much care. A burned out lightbulb on the nightstand lamp was replaced immediately after I made the desk aware of it. We were there off season, and I thought this was a real value, a lot of hotel for the cost. Friendly, helpful staff.

Most enjoyable. Friendly service at the hotel and adjacent restaurants,wine and coffee bars.

The service was excellent. We could not have been more please. The Hotel is convenient to the main Plazza and many Historical sites as well as fine Restaurants and Shopping. The Staff were very professional, efficient and very helpful. Our room was small but very comfortable and immaculate. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very quiet for sleeping which is a big plus,also well located in the old part of the city so close to everything you need.the rooms re clean,and very comfortable and we would stay again when we come back to beautiful bologna.

Great location! Very clean. Rooms are smallish but the location makes up for it. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is near the airport which is one of the reasons we chose it, but would not have been able to find it without a sat nav. We arrived late and although we got checked in quickly enough and were given car parking space via the hotel, it was a bit of maze to get there without help. On return to our apartment that night we could not get past the second locked gate, our room was not adjoined to the hotel itself and this then led to at least an hour of trying locks, different keys and endless trips in and out of elevators in the gargage where our car was parked. We had more of a clue about where our room was than the guy on duty. Not amused especially as it was after 3am by the time we eventually got into our room, and we couldnt get food as everywhere was closed. Maybe the hotel should issue maps for guests to their apartments and ensure that the keys they issue actually fit the right locks!!. Our apartment was spacious and clean and it would have served as a good base if we had been staying in Bolgona for more than one night. Thankfully things only got better as we travelled around. There was a very cheap coffee shop in the complex which served delicious expresso and chocolate croissants the next morning.

Around the corner from piazza Maggiore. Very friendly staff, everyone speaks English. Hotel is modern, yet keeps the charm of an italian palazzo. Internet is free and works well in the room.

Hotel is easy walking distance to the cathedral, basilica, square, shopping, restaurants and the university. Nice room, good bed, good bathroom, AC worked well. Staff were helpful and breakfast was fabulous. Short taxi ride to/from train station.

The hotel was very nice and the staff friendly.

Great size hotel. Dream location--a stone's throw from the main square. Very professional, helpful, and efficient reception staff. We had a room on the top floor with skylights in the bedroom and bathroom so the natural light was good. We just had a view of the sky but that meant no street noise. The breakfast was uninspiring with lots of pastries but this is the standard Italian breakfast from our experience. It is hard to escape it. The free wifi was a big attraction for us but unfortunately it faded away in our room (on the top floor) half-way through our stay. The staff tried to fix it but failed. It worked in the corridor outside our room! The free bicycles that the hotel will lend you were a dream for us. They enabled us to explore the whole city. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a first class European hotel in every way, except the price. The staff was attentive to our every need and very friendly and courteous at all times. Bologna was extremely hot and our room was a welcome cool and calm oasis after a very full day of walking in the hot sun. The 15 minute covered walk to the train station was a bonus! I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting Bologna without a car.

some the staff would keep me from coming back. This person had an attitude with each and every one of us at separate times. There were 5 of us there for a photography outing. Staff can make or break a hotel. Even though the rooms were nice (small, but typical for European standards) the thing that we keep on talking about is the mean attitude. On the plus side, the location can't be beat. right in the center of town. You can walk to everything, the staff does give good recommendations for food.

Hotel very convenient to main areas of Bologna, took a taxi from airport Euro 18.00 to hotel. Staff very helpful. Breakfast good. I was able to walk around the town easily. Room good size, staff left a chocolate by bed every evening, nice touch.

The location is great and the Hotel is very good and the Staff is very friendly. I really recommend this Hotel.

Small comfortable hotel perfectly situated in the Centro Storico. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Brill location, friendly staff, good quality hotel, this hotel is what it says one the tin

This little hotel is right in the middle of the best part of Bologna for visitors. You can walk to everything historical and also participate in local things that make you feel right at home. The bowl of apples and the espresso machine in the lobby are nice amenities and the Farina restaurant is very good for a glass of wine or a dish cooked in the "slow food" style. Lovely shops and very good value in Bologna compared to the pricing in Rome. Wish we had books more than two nights on our way to Venice!!

Room was incredibly small..... distance between the bed and dresser/desk was about 12 inches....

This hotel was just around the corner from Piazza Maggiore in Bologna. Had lots of extra little touches that made it a great place to stay for our one night in Bologna.

We tried two rooms. The first had an a/c unit that blew directly into our faces and could not be controlled (by direction or temp). The staff moved us and that a/c failed all together. The staff offered us no solutions. Overall, I could never recommend this hotel to anyone. I have written directly to the managing company and can only hope they have an answer. PS The hotel is currently under renovation. Why not tell us that before letting us book?

You will need a GPS to find the hotel if you are driving into Bologna. This is a really nice hotel, very clean and comfortable rooms and the staff is friendly and helpful. Location is about as good as it get. Breakfast was fantastic.

This hotel was just a little gem. It is situated literally off the main square and everything in Bologna is easily within walking distance. Not only that but the hotel actually have bikes they will lend you if you want! On top of that they offer free walking tours of parts of the city e.g. Medieval part of the city at the weekends. The staff are more than helpful and went to lengths they didn't have to in order to accommodate us. Free internet available in lobby. Free tea/coffee machine available in lobby. Breakfast is a good spread. Decor of the hotel is very unique and is maintained throughout the bedrooms also. Bedrooms and bathrooms are absolutely spotless and they even have a pillow menu that you can choose the most suitable pillow for your needs or preferences! Could not fault this hotel in any way. Absolutely fantastic. Would recommend it to anyone.

Great hotel in a fantastic location at the heart of Bologna and at a good price. The hotel is quiet depite being just around the corner from the centre of the city and the staff are friendly and helpful. We were delighted and look forward to returning soon.

A very friendly and welcoming hotel. Very helpful at all times. Given the centro storico location, the car parking arrangements in th nearby piazza were very satisfactory. The breakfast selection was outstanding.

Beautiful rooms best breakfast had in Italy, staff very helpful. Very close to historical sights 15 min walk from station.

Front desk was very helpful with directions to sights, restaurants, beauty parlor and shopping. Everything within walking distance.

We used our GPS system to find this hotel. Don't know how we would have ever found the location without it as the hotel is on a narrow side street. Location is close to the main sights. A good breakfast is included in the price. Parking is not included; we had to pay separately for an off-site garage.
