Sandcastles Beach Resort Ocho Rios - اوتشو ريوس

There was no indication that this place was undergoing renovation or changes of any sort. It's a Huge and beautiful hotel where I ALWAYS stay while in Ocho Rios. But, this time was a ghost town with at least 25 cats roaming. The entire hotel, complexes A-E (30 units each) only occupied approximately 15 people ... GHOST TOWN!!! No bar, no restaurant, no lifeguard ... BUT CLEAN AND SECURITY PATROLLED. I am disappointed in hotels.com for NOT INFORMING me of its condition. Come on Sandcastle, bring back the loveliness that you have always been !!!

The hotel was closed to the main, therefore I had access to everything. Although, the hotel is a bit run down now it served its purpose and I like that I had a kitchenette in my room to cook.

The location is decent, but the cable was out, and the room nor hotel was in the best condition.

I rarely write a negative review on a hotel. I was always taught, if you do not have anything good to say, don't say anything. But, I feel compelled to write this one. The room was clean. I spent 2 days asking for an iron. I refuse to believe that there was one iron in the entire resort. There were cooking facilities, however, there were no pots/pans/silverware. No microwave to heat food I had to buy because I couldn't cook without cookware. The place advertise suites with cooking facilities but does not state you need to bring your own dishes/silverware/pots/pans. Had I've known, I would have chosen somewhere else to stay. Who travels out of the country with these items. When I finally got an iron, it stained and stuck to my clothes. I couldn't enjoy the pool and take in some sun because the pool was filfthy and moldy and it definitely can use a new paint job. Bottom line is I would not recommend this hotel to even my enemy.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Ocho Rios, however, the customer service at Sand Castle was not great. We were asked to pay an additional amount per night for an additional quest on arrival even though it was clearly outlined to Hotels. Com that three persons would be staying in the one bedroom suite. My daughter's room was not cleaned for the entire week because the cleaning staff did not have a key to the room. We gave the office the key several times to make a copy, but nothing happened until we complained the day before we departed. We asked for an iron board there was none, a microwave since we had a full kitchen and there was none. All our requests were basically no. No accommodation was made to facilitate our needs. Otherwise the location was the best.

We have been waiting for service like four hours waiting. There have one bedroom and living room so the couch is not sleeping bed. My son sleep our bed because no provide for full bed in the couch. It is very not happy.

Having previously stayed, in a 1 Bedroom Suite, at the Sandcastles Beach Resort and knowing it's proximity to the beach and downtown Ocho Rios, I opted to stay there again in April 2010 in a Studio Apartment even though I had read a few of the negative reviews about security and so on. My experience was as remembered. The room I was given was quite spacious with a King Size bed and very clean. The room was made up every day and fresh towels delivered. I often sat outside the room which overlooked a very nice garden. The kitchenette needed a few more cooking implements which were immediately delivered by our friendly maid. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return upon visiting Ocho Rios again.

If u r in the area and only need a place to grab a quick shower and sleep then its ok,but if you might have spend time in your room this is not the place for you. The living room had no comfortable chairs to sit and relax,the dining table was falling apart and I didn't want to go back to the room until I was good and tired so all I needed to do was sleep. The staff was very nice. This place just didn't cut it..

This hotel is so old and dalapadated its not funny. They should be ashamed to charge $10/nt. Don't stay here.

Absolutely comfortable, clean and the employees are so eager to please ... with a warm smile and welcoming attitude. I will always stay here when I visit again.
