We love Lake Powell and have typically always stayed on a house boat. We decided to give the resort a try. In the summer months it's just so hot that it's hard to stay on the house boat and sleep comfortably. With the resort we played all day in the lake and were able to come back to a clean cool room. I was pleasantly surprised. It was updated and nice. We went to the lounge for dinner and it was delicious. The location can't be beat - close to the ramp and the views are breathtaking - even for someone who's been to Powell before. Lovely place - will definitely be back!

Proximity to Lake Powell was perfect. However, the hotel itself was just ok for the price. For example, we requested a complete set of towels on our way out for an excursion. When we returned there were no towels. However, I'd noticed when we returned there were packages of clean towels in the hall way so I went out opened them and took what we needed. Seems rather sloppy to say the least. The positive was that everyone in the reception area was very gracious and helpful.

Great location and loved the small pool by the lobby/restaurant/bar with the great view across the lake. The rooms are dismal. The bathroom fan spews out heat - a heat lamp in the desert? The balcony door doesn't lock. The air conditioning doesn't have a thermostat(runs continuously). The shower curtain rod was reinstalled too high thus the shower curtain didn't stay in the tub spilling water all over the floor. The hallways are run down but at least didn't have that typical coverup, deodorized smell. We loved the dinner cruise and the antelope cruise. The rooms just left a bad taste in our mouths.

clean, comfortable with bewutiful view if you get the right room. we enjoyed a lot staying for the weekend in that marvelous place

No road signal to find it. Old forniture and lodging building It is like a 2 stars hotel Only restaurant and lobby like a resort

You stay at lake Powell for the location-nothing else. The food was average to bad. They need more food options for families. The rooms are average and the jacuzzi didn't work on a regular basis. Being it is the only hotel in right by the lake, I would stay again. You can't beat the view!! Be informed, go somewhere else to eat!!

The recent renovations and room remodels complement the unequaled views and lake access. The room size is smaller than average, but our family of 4 fit well enough. Good thing we brought camping pads and sleeping bags. One of our kids sleeps on the floor, and there's no room for a roll away bed. Our ground floor room and new pathways allowed us to come and go through the patio door without trampling any landscaping. April was a quiet time at the lake and we enjoyed it tremendously.

We stayed during spring break in April and the resort was right on the lake so doing water sports with water craft were handy. The service was pretty slow though - check in took a very long time, phoning house keeping for extra towels took a long time, and getting some tours booked was slower than one would expect. The rooms were clean and nicely outfitted. As the hotel is on the water and away from the town of Pace (5 + miles away), there is no other traffic or noise to contend with. There are two pools and a fairly large restaurant and bar on the hotel site as well. Over all, our experience was good. The service was just very slow on a few things.

Great hotel Amazing scenery!!!!

Great hotel for our needs. Room was large, clean and moderately equiped. Not too fancy but totally fine. Great view from the little balcony which was nice too. Resaurant quite good if pricey and the breakfast coffee bar was also nice to have on site. The boat tour was also great and very convenient - we left right from the hotel lobby, couldn't get any easier than that. Only mild complaints would be an odd smell in the corridor and slow checkout process.

Nice pool, walking trails and beautiful scenery

We got a free upgrade to a lakeview room, good clean rooms, friendly staff and they seem to be very mindful of the environment they are in. They do not use plastic bottles for shampoo/soap, etc but dispensers instead which were well stocked. They recycle and do lots of other small things which shows that they are environmentally concious. I would stay there again just to encourage hotels like these. Note that they are a little further away from Page, AZ (~4 to 5 miles) and hence to any affordable restaurants. The restaurant on the hotel premises is a tad expensive.

We stayed at this hotel in the off season (early March). The property must be a renovated older resort as the look is modern, but the resort rooms/ layout seems stuck in the '60s. The room was a bit cramped and was missing some of the typical hotel stuff like a microwave. There was no breakfast available except at a small coffee window in the lobby (perhaps this is due to the season). We had trouble finding the hotel in the dark as there are few markings.

This was our anniversary and thought Lake Powell Resort was the nicest choice. Disappointed by the lack of basic services. Understanding it was off-season and services would be reduced, but the restaurant was closed both nights and had dinner one night in the lounge. Neither were open for breakfast, only breakfast option was a Java stand, which offered fair one would find in a gas station convenience store.

We upgraded our accommodations to enjoy a view room. March is a quiet time of year for the resort and we enjoyed a quiet, peaceful few days. When there was a problem with the jacuzzi, a maintenance person fixed it within minutes. Management was very visible, walking around to make sure things were in tip top shape. The restaurant was good, too, where I enjoyed a delicious charbroiled burger. I also love Java City, a coffee/snack bar they have set up in the lobby. The coffee was hot and tasty, with nice people working each morning. I suggest this resort because it is the best in Page and the location can't be beat.

It was obvious it was the off season because there was little to no attention from the staff regarding the problems we encountered. Our television did not work properly (we could get only about five channels) and after two phone calls we still did not see a staff member who was addressing the problem. The ice machines (which were outside the building) had no ice in them. In an attempt to inquire about where to obtain ice, there was no one at the front desk and no way to alert anyone I was there. There are no elevators, so we had to drag our bags up and down the stairs to and from our room on the 2nd floor. The resort is isolated and there was no place to eat until the dining room and lounge opened at 4:00 p.m. For showering, there was only a dispenser on the wall with very low grade soap, shampoo and conditioner.

Loved the rooms, the staff was great, very friendly. The on-site restaurant was excellent.

Typical american mid class hotel in an extraordinary and excellent area

I had read many reviews before our recent trip thru Lake Powell & contrary to what others wrote, this place rocks! If yr looking for "uppity" accomadations..look elsewhere! BUT this place is all about LOCATION,Location, location!!! The rooms are a bit dated, but the grrounds are gorgeous!! Pools, firepits, marina right there! We had a Wonderful time here & plan to visit again next year!

The Lake Powell resort is difficut to categorize. They do the big things very well- rooms were recently updated, nice stone surfaces in the bathrooms, great views, very nice pools, right on the lake, plush beds. This sounds like that start of a great review, right? Well they are terrible at the little things. The hallways were dingey, there were several clumps of hair on the shower walls, and the resort is a haul to the town of Page. Also, when we turned on the heat the heater smelled like it was burning. We called the front desk who said they would send someone right away but never did. Fortunately, it wasn't that cold. So while it seems odd, this really is a 2 1/2-3 star resort.

There is a $15.00 fee to get into the park where this hotel is located. That isn't a lot of money but there are other hotels in Page that offer the same views ect - with no fee.

We stayed at the Lake Powell resort for 4 nights. I am very framiliar with Page and the surrounding area and have stayed at three other hotels on previous lake vacations. Our hotel room was very clean and well maintained and I found all the hotel staff to be friendly and accomodating. We had breakfast at the resort one morning and dinner at the bar another night. The breakfast buffet was a bit pricey but was excellent! I have to say before our stay I read other peoples reviews that complained about hotel condition and unfriendly staff and I have no idea what they are talking about! I thought the hotel and staff were great, and due to the proximity to the marina and boat ramp (right on your front door step!) I would happily stay there again. Yes you do have to purchase a National parks pass to get to the hotel because it is located inside the national park. However, I did get 10% off my slip rental because I was staying at the resort. Also, when my boat had engine troubles the front desk helped me find a factory certified technician who could do the work and he was right there at the resort. He also charged me the cheapest labor and repair prices I have ever paid. We are looking forward to staying at the resort again soon!

this hotel is for boaters on Lake Powel only. Everyone else can forget it.

The resort is right on the lake and the scenery is beautiful.There are alot of rooms. We were fortunate enough to get one in a good location otherwise it could be a long walk to pools or lobby. Resort is very nice for families or couples. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. I would absolutely stay there again.

We were unhappy with the Lake Powell Resort for the following reasons: 1) the room was not cleaned until 5:30 PM; 2) the pool was already out of guest towels at 1:00 PM and it was filthy; 3) the restaurant's charged a "service fee" that is the equivalent of a tip even when the dining experience involved counter service; 4) on the final day of our stay a staff member went down the hall and pounded loudly on every door at 7:30 AM and scolded guests who did not have a "do not disturb" sign on their door, because he wanted to clean the rooms on the floor early - this is odd, because check out isn't until 11 AM; 5) at check out the clerk indicated an additional $1300 was owed for my two day stay, which simply wasn't possible, because I paid in full at the time of reservation. I would NOT recommend this hotel, because the service was extremely poor. Stay in Page, AZ - they have many other options to meet travel needs.

We chose this hotel because it is very convenient for our houseboat vacation at Lake Powell. We have stayed here 4 or 5 times. It is clean and comfortable and allows pets. We do not use the ameneties e.g. pool, dining every trip, but have found the restaurant to be a bit pricey for portion size. All and all i would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lake Powell.

This hotel is about location. Although it may appear over priced, the views are priceless. The idea of being right on the water was the best. The location is unbelievable and right there for all the boat tours and so much more.

The location was great, right next to the marina, great view as well and convenient parking. However, the carpet was very dirty, the use flat sheets instead of fitted sheets so you are constantly laying directly on the mattress, the a/c didn't work. The first night it was so noisy that we had to turn if off, the second & third night it barely cooled. I would save your money and get a cheaper room in town as you have more access to wal-mart, restaurants, gas etc.

BEFORE check-in unexpected weekly fee to get into Natl. Park where the resort is located. Room, service and AC were ok. Room fridge is bad. Everything under freezing chamber was frozen.
