The Good The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the staff was courtious. For our purposes, the property was well located to the function we were attending. The breakfast was very good. The rate was reasonable. The bad The shower water temprature would not remain consistent, changing from hot to cold to the degree that we could take only the most brief of showers.

The carpet was absolutely filthy. The room was 82 , degrees and despite turning the temperature control on maximum cold, it remained sweltering hot over night. I had planned to stay several days, but checked out the next morning to find another motel.

Beautiful location near the beach. Room was comfortable and fairly clean although carpet was spotted and seemed dirty. That might be because it is a dog-friendly place -- which we were grateful for since we were traveling with our dog. Limited food venues nearby.

Very comfortable room, excellent breakfasts and clean clean clean. Overall a very nice experience!

We had to get a hotel room at a busy time of year last minute, and so we had few choices. We picked an oceanview room at Quality because we thought that we would at least be able to see the beach, even if the hotel was not on it. The truth is that there is another hotel blocking any view of the ocean. Pros: Rooms (suites - we stayed in a 1 BR suite) are large, which is nice for a family. Suites also have a full-size fridge, stove, and microwave, also nice for saving money. You can walk to a nice area of the beach (though you have to cross a road and go around or through another hotel (Oceanside Inn & Suites). Bikes can be rented right in the hotel. Staff is helpful and kind. Cons: Oceanview rooms CAN NOT SEE THE BEACH. There was no countertop in the bathroom, making it difficult to place personal care items anywhere. The room was not in great shape - a few outlets in our room were having trouble working, carpet was stained and worn, had to borrow pillows from the bedroom to use the sofa bed (we might have been able to request some, but did not ask since many hotels have the extra pillows in a closet or drawer), and the pool was rather small and the water was cloudy. If you do not arrive early for the included breakfast, you miss out. Though the hours are 6-9am for breakfast, they did not replenish the eggs when they ran out at 8:30, even though there was a sizeable line. Considering my family can not eat wheat (i.e., the rest of what was available), this was extrememly frustrating. We went to Jekyll to be at the beach. Because this hotel did not have the cited view, if I had any choice at all, I would not stay here again, especially for what we had to pay for the room.

The room was very large compared to other hotels we have stayed in. We had our dog with us, so we needed a pet friendly room - which explained the few stains on the floor. We were very pleased with the entire hotel. We brought our own bikes and rode to the beach, even though it was well within walking distance. Great place to stay for the money and will return.

My check in time was at 3:00pm . I arrived at the motel at 3:00pm sharp and when i got to the front desk to check in they told me it would be another 45 minutes before my room was ready. The staff were rude and was no help at all, the front desk attendant told me that they were super busy was the reason my room wasnt ready "BULL" because the parking lot was empty. I will never in my life book another reservation with quality inn and suites.

The front desk staff was less than attentive and had a bad attitude. The room itself was damp and smelled of cat urine. Not worth the money.

We had a wonderful experience at the Comfort Inn and Suites at Jekyll Island! The room was comfy and cozy. Our pets enjoyed the space and our three children loved having their own room. Having the small kitchen in the suite abled us to keep expenses low and spend more time enjoying other activities! I highly recommend this hotel for family vacations or couple outings. The beach was just acrss the street with walking distance!

we have a large family so this hotel was very ideal for us in that it was very affordable and while it is not a four or five star by any means we were pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and the service was very good.

This hotel was in a great location..close to bike path and just a walk across the street to beach. The continental breakfast was great with alot of good choices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price for room was high for the quality of the room. Very old and had a really musky smell and very heavy sticky humid air in the room. The bathroom window lock was broke and a hanger was stuck in window to keep shut. The carpet was old. The room was very clean and roomy...bathroom very small. The hotel just needs to do some updating and some maintanence. Very close to the golf course.

We had a 2 bedroom suite and loved it!! There is a small kitchen with a stove, fridge, microwave, table w/4 charis, and table service for 4. We were around the back of the hotel, so it was easier to just drive to the beach (it would have taken about 10 minutes to walk). The only 2 problems we had were: (1)the air conditioning would not work. I called the front desk and told them. After 2 hours I went to the front desk in person and finally got a maintenance worker. They did not call him the first time. He got it working in just a few minutes. and (2) the parking lot floods in the rain. We had to walk through an ankle deep lake to get in our car no matter where we parked in the back lot. After the second day we learned to park in the front and walk around the building to our rooms. We had requested a second floor non smoking room. We got the second floor and the sign said no smoking, but you could tell that someone had been smoking in there. The description of the hotel makes it sound like it is right on the ocean. Unfortunately there is another very long hotel on the beach side of the street that blocks the ocean. If you have one of the smaller rooms located in the front of the Quality Inn then you have easier access, but if you have one of the larger suites it is quite a walk to walk around the entire hotel, then have to cross the street and go down the steps that are next to the other hotel. Also, the swimming pool is filled with sand which makes it look pretty nasty since you cannot see the bottom of the pool. But where you are there all you want to do is spend the time at the beach anyway. You can go anywhere to swim in a pool!!! All in all we had a good experience. Better than a lot of the places we have been to. The island is definitely a great family vacation spot. We were there in August and the beaches were almost empty and there were a lot of treasures to find (shells, sand dollars, and horseshoe crab shells). My four children all had a blast and can't

Although not right on the beach, the Quality Inn offers large, comfortable, clean, suites and is across the street from the seashore. I'd recommend a stay.

Not quite on the beach, across the street.. Long narrow hotel blocking direct view of the beach, however it was a nice hotel, nice stay with friendly staff. No complaints for the price. I was also upgraded to a suite with a full kitchen because I requested a smoking room with no additional cost.

Needs Improvement

I was suppose to be on my honeymoon, but unfornately it wasn't a honeymoon because of Quality Inn & Suites. My finance and I was enjoying our honeymoon until we went out to eat and my debit was decline. I pull up my internet banking and Quality Inn & Suites charge our account mutilpe times. We went back to the hotel and try to get things straighten out and the employees start to fuss at each other right in front of us; instead of trying to get the problem fix out. Once finally stop fussing one female got everything straighten out, the General Manager came down and charge our account again, which messed it up again. For the second time everything got straighten out. Then this morning I check my account again and my account was almost a -600 short because of QUALITY INN & SUITES AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! Here we go again back down to front desk trying to fix this same problem. Finally for the third time it has got fix. This is suppose to be my honeymoon, but as you can see how it turned out. My advice to people is when booking a hotel use a prepaid debit card and only put the amount they are suppose to charge you on there. Nevr use your personal checking account debit card. If I didn't work at a bank and they weren't able to fix the problem right away then I would of been stuck down here until Monday with no money.

The hotel was very decent nothing to extravigant a nice homely feel cool to the beach and not far from the activities. I would stay there again
