Hotel Nelligan - مونتريال

What a great find. The hotel is in the old section and a great location. The room was beautiful and the staff was friendly and attentive. Would make this my first choice for a return visit.

Friendly, helpful staff, nice atmosphere and furnishings, easy walking access to everything we wanted for a long weekend. Single, minor complaint: morning room service arrived quite late.

This hotel is expensive, but beautiful none the less, located right in the heart of old Montreal. Paid parking is available around the corner and there is a restaurant/bar located in the lobby. The front desk was friendly and so was the room staff. The jacuzzi room was disappointing as it was a jetted tub that fit two people uncomfortably, rather than the L shaped jacuzzi in the HOTELS.com picture. The biggest negative is the horrible bed cover, which doesn't allow air to pass through, making us sweat all night. I have not asked for a different blanket, so maybe that issue could have been fixed.

We booked our hotel at the last minute due to a change in plans. The hotel staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful.The concierge- Maude, was SO helpful during our stay! She gave us wonderful recommendations for dinner every night and also Saturday brunch. She helped us to map out our trip as we wanted to hit different parts of town for various shopping excursions.The hotel is located centrally in Old Montreal, and so we were walking distance to various museums and shopping. There were tons of restaurants in the area.It was quite cold during our visit, but I would love to return in warmer weather, and I will definitely stay here.

The Nelligan is by far my favourite place to stay in Old Montreal, everything you'd expect and more from a classy boutique hotel. There is so much attention to detail from the old-meets-modern decor and architecture to the fabulous dinner at the Verses restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast or brunch in the interior courtyard and you feel like you're in Europe. Friendly service is superior, even the maids smile and wish you a good day. We'll stay here again and again!

the stay was very good, staff very accomodating and pleasant, nice room. Unfortunately, there was some constuction noise in the early morning, but that's probably unavoidable in Old Montreal..Great selection of nice restaurants close by.

The room we stayed in was tastefully decorated, as one would expect for the Old Port area of Montreal. The fireplace and jaccuzzi tub were fantastic. In order to find flaws, one would have to look very, very closely and frankly, that defeats the purpose of a romantic getaway, doesn't it? The free drink voucher at the hotel bar was a nice touch. The artwork and furniture in shared areas was very good. Everything you would expect in a world class hotel a world class city. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. To an individual, the staff was friendly, accommodating and efficient. Every request we had was met with a friendly smile. When we arrived, before we had even noticed that hypoallergenic bedding was not on the bed, we received a call from the front desk, asking us if it was a convenient time to let the cleaning staff in to change the bedding. Sure, I could say that they forgot in the first place but that they caught their mistake and made an effort to correct it before I even noticed was impressive, to say the least.

Wonderful hotel, clean, friendly, very cozy, with lots of shops and restaurants close by. Will definitely recommend to anyone staying in Montreal.

They had some issues with the bed sheets (the bottom sheet was the wrong size--took them tonight to resolve the issue), but the helpful staff addressed the issue and gave us some credits.

Very friendly check in staff . Restaurant/bar personnel very attentive to providing quality service

Wonderful location and ambiance. The Junior Suite with Jaccuzi was enormous with all the perks for a romantic weekend. The hotel staff was great at helping us find great local restaurants and accommodating our requests. The TV/Sound system accepts DVD's & CD's so be sure to bring your own movies/music. The room was very quiet and private - we didn't hear anyone! Only a couple of minor negatives - the bed was hard and would really benefit from a topper. The furniture was looking a bit tired and banged up - could be easily touched up to bring the room back up to its full splendor.

The Nelligan is a charming hotel for a visit to old Montreal. The exposed brick work and historic building add to this charm. The rooms were large and comfortable with everything you need for a business or leisure stay. The bathroom is comfortable with high end toiletries and fittings. The location of the hotel cannot be beaten. One street from the riverside and blocks away from the restaurants Around saint Laurence street. I did not eat at the restaurant in the hotel but have been to the roof top bar in the summer and it was a great place to go after dinner. Highly recommended !

Excellent staff, however the room was effective by street noise during the night and early morning. There were stains on the pillar of the room which needed to be cleaned. The carpet was ripped and the door stop for the washroom was right in front of the toilet, awkward. Overall a nice place to stay.

Could not have asked for better service got upgraded and the room was amazing. Location perfect if you want a romantic getaway in Old Monteal.

Not our first visit; we came back, and will come back again, I,m sure. However, when we come back, we'll be sure to ask for the wine-by-the-glass menu before we order Champagne -- which, not having checked the menu, came in at $24. But the hotel is great -- hospitable, stylish, first-class.

Spent six days in November at Hotel Nelligan. The concierge was personable and knowledgeable as was all the staff we had dealings. The hotel was clean, quiet and well located for easy walks to many neighborhoods around town. It's a few minutes walk to the metro and just an all around best bet for the romantic getaway we wanted. You need not have doubts about booking this hotel. Hotel Nelligan did everything right!

Excellent front desk staff. Very friendly and helpful. The same excellent servi e in the restaurant. Room service, however, was very dissappointing. Delivery time of 20minutes turned into an hour and the order was wrong. Correcting the order took another 45 minutes and it was still wrong. When I notified the front desk about the problem, a verbal apology but no adjustment of the room service charge.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Nelligan. There were 8 of us in total, 4 couples. The hotel was clean, efficient and had all the amenities we required. Great restaurants were only blocks away and the ambiance of old Montreal is spell binding! A great trip all round.

The hotel came with a recommendation from a friend. We loved everything about the hotel...quality service, amenities, location etc. We give it a 5 all around.

I chose Hotel Nelligan based on reviews and the reviews were right. This is a classic vintage hotel in Old Montreal located on the best street for shopping and restaurants. The rooms were clean and very nice, the shower is huge, we had a king bed which slept incredibly well. We ate breakfast and had drinks one night - great experience on both. The real treasure is the staff. Each and every one of them were helpful, always responsive with a smile and professional. From the front door to the candy and water delivered to your room - you will be pleased with your stay. Can't recommend this hotel more and would stay again. Thank you Hotel Nelligan!

From the moment we pulled in front of the hotel and the vallet took our bags and parked the car to the checkout we were treated like royalty. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the comfort level was out of this world. Wish I could rate it higher then 5's. we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and eat. We plan on comming back for our 1st anniversary.

The design and decoration of the hotel was fantastic. The King suite we stayed in was spacious, charming and super-comfortable. We really enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub and the brick walls. We had problems connecting to the hotel WiFi, but that is often the case at a technical conference.

I recommend the stay at Hotel Nelligan. I always stay in this hotel when coming to Montreal. The staff are pleasant and the rooms are very clean and spacious.

A charming hotel in an excellent area. We were delighted to stay at the Nelligan and would certainly recommend it to others. Everyone was very helpful and courteous at all times.

Hotel was great, staff wonderful and so helpful with where to shop, tours to take, restaurants to visit. And our room #406 WOW.

The hotel is perfectly located on the best street in Old Montreal but thankfully it is two blocks away or a one minute walk from where the tourists and townies alike really get going So out the door to the right is the party and to the left are great restaurants. Although, the restaurant accross the street had a large crowd, the noise was under control. The mini-suite was very large and clean and the concierge desk was staffed with knowledgable and friendly folk. I would go again in a heartbeat.

My wife and spent 5 nights, and had the most enjoyable time. The staff of the hotel was extremely friendly, and they went out of their way to help us enjoy the Great City of Montreal

This hotel consists of 2 or 3 former buildings that are now connected into one. We asked for a quiet room and were put on the 2nd floor in the space farthest from the desk. You had to go up and then down flights of 5 or 6 steps. The room had no view and the WIFI system did not work. (We were told there were too many brick walls to go through.) Advice: ask for a room on the 4th or 5th floor not too far from the elevator and the WIFI signal. Ask to see the room first.

We loved the hotel, perfect location. However we were a little disappointed to find out that some guests had complimentary breakfast coupons included - our Petite Suite obviously didn't. When checking out, the guests in front of us didn't use any of theirs and when we asked, they didn't offer any of the unused coupons. Just an odd exchange to finish off an otherwise wonderful stay. The location is without compare, we walked to everything. Being on the 3rd floor, there was no view to speak of, we had a view of the back alley.

The room was a bit small, but very well decorated with all conveniences. Comfortable bed and great shower. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. It was an easy walk to many shops, restaurants, museums and galleries.
