My reason to live at BHCC for the weekend was to see Joel Osteen in DC. It was cancelled due to rain. I was not upset a bit because I knew where I was going to stay that Saturday night while it rained. I will make my next visit again to your area and stay at BHCC and recommend to all my family and friends. Room C301 had one flaw, the toilet had water leaking from the very bottom at floor level. This is a comment not a complaint! I am also the manager for leadership development courses at the Dare County Sheriff's Office in NC. Please call if you ever need my services for your course, 252-216-9244. Staying at BHCC is not an average stay it is an event. You will find the staff accomidating professionals, the food you dream of and the comfort and safety you must explore for yorself.

Ok, I dont know who the idiots were that wrote the bad reviews for this hotel, but they are exactly idiots. My girlfriend stayed at the Bolger for a wedding in Oxon Hill, easy drive to everything, AND I MEAN EVERYTHING! Do yourself a huge favor while you stay here, enjoy the breakfast buffet in the Osgood center, YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED, I GARUNTEE IT! Our room was spotless, and service was friendly and on point. The Artisan Brick Oven Pizza was exquisite. You want nasty and burned, Dominos is down the street. I WILL REBOOK IN THE FUTURE, AND I WILL ENJOY!!!!!

Comfortable - Only plus would have been a fridge in the room

The grounds are large and beautiful. Swimming pool is large and warm. Wireless everywhere, nice printers, good food. No phoo-phoo. I loved it.

After looking at many hotels in DC we found this place on the outskirts. The rate was very reasonable after looking at the hotels in DC. The Bolger is about 20 minutes from the Metro station, but the inconvenience was more than made up for by the room rate. We stayed three nights. The grounds are beautiful, the staff friendly and attentive, and the rooms were more than adequate. We paid a very small differential and got a suite. It's well worth it. We'll be staying there again if we visit Washington in the future.

Very nice for the price and a very relaxing, quiet location....lots of safe wildlife on the trails if you're into nature....I will definitely stay again!

We got to the hotel late at night and found out that the rooms were overbooked and that we in fact had to share a full bed. My boyfriend is bigger than me, a full bed for both of us was a little bit of a squeeze but it worked out. The hotel was accommodating, they gave us free breakfast and lunch for the weekend and two free drink tickets. We didn't use anything but the breakfast but it was good and I just wished that they monitored their marketing efforts on discount websites better.

Every bit as nice and comfortable as the nearby Marriott Suites hotel on Democracy Boulevard. It's clearly designed for conferences, but for the leisure traveler it's a great value. We had a very nice two room suite for half the price of the Marriott Suites, surrounded by woodlands. We were just a few minutes away from Montgomery Mall but it was secluded and lovely. Restaurants were fair and convenient.

Situated on a beautiful campus. Breakfast offered many options. Room was clean but tiny. Overall very good value considering the area.

We were counting on the hotel's on-site dining options upon arrival, only to find that one restaurant was closed for the evening, and the other was taken over by a private party. And the front desk didn't even know about it when we checked in! The next morning, we were able to get breakfast on site, but no take-out or carry-out (we really wanted to take lunch with us).

I would highly reccomend this hotel. The surroundings are gorgeous. The hotel itself is very nice, service was good. We drow to the nearest metro station (8-10 min), parked the car at a public parking rite there, which was very inexpensive - just a few dollars for a whole day, and ride a metro to the center of the city. Very convinient and pretty fast. Do not try to drive into DC on your car - it is worst than New York, to find parking on the street is imposible. Our stay was great!

I stayed here with my family for one night over a holiday. Although it is geared for conferences and business, it was a wounderful time for family as well.

Everything was perfect except for the shuttle service; the hours were not convenient for day time touring. A car is mandatory if you choose this hotel. The service was very good and the food at the Pony Express was great , not expensive and everything was delicious. We would certainly go back.

Very nice place to stay lovely grounds, very helpful staff. But.. it is NOT 10 minutes by shuttle bus to Metro closer to half an hour. And then another half hour to The Mall. Heat was off in April and we were COLD! Far away from everything so bring snacks.. But very nice staff.. Pool with lifeguard. Lovely outside sitting areas.

Had a pleasant stay at the Bolger Center. The front reception was quite nice. They gave you a warm welcome and helpful advice. That was a really good first impression and that set the tone for the entire stay. The room (standard with queen bed at Osgood bldg.) was clean, comfortable, basic but nice decor. The surrounding areas with fresh air, beautiful flowers and trees were more than perfect for the holidays especially during the Cherry Blossom festival. The only thing to keep in mind is that it is located out of town but it is a trade off with the price you pay for. If you could manage to work it out with a combination of hotel shuttle bus and a public bus/metro connections in case you do not have your own transportation, this would be just fine.

the hotel staff was very friendly, loved the area where hotel is located full of natural beauty and very well maintained. The Breakfast had a great variety and was fresh and yummy. The only negative point is the place is a little far from Downtown and other attractions and a little difficult to locate if travelling in the night time. Other than that it is a great place to stay and we had an amazing time staying for a night.

I very much enjoyed my stay and would come back again if we happen to be that far north of Florida. I liked the location to where you are away from the hussle and bussle of the city. The sorroundings were beautiful with the flowers blooming while we were there. It's a hidden treasure.

Just like other complaints have stated, the rooms are pretty small--about half the size of a normal hotel room. However, my room was one of the least expensive, so this is probably different for more expensive rooms. My main complaint is that there was not heat in the room. Instead of each room having a private unit, the hotel appears to have installed central heat and AC. Additionally, apparently to save money, they only allow guests to use one at a time, depending on the season. When I arrive in early April, the temperatures outside ranged from the 40s to the 60s and my room temperature was about 65 degrees. I inquired about getting some heat, at which point they told me the only thing they could do was give me an extra blanket. The temperature in the room continued to decline throughout the night. Needless to say, it was very uncomfortable, especially when getting out of bed in the morning to take a shower. This problem is probably less relevant if your visiting in the winter or summer, but can lead to great inconvenience and discomfort if you visit in the spring or fall. It is also inconvenient that the hotel is spread out over several acres. It claims to have a swimming pool, work out facility, and other amenities, but the inconvenience of actually finding these amenities and making use of them means they are of little value.

I found this hotel to be more of a 4 star quality resort, for a recent DC trip. It was only a 20 minute drive to DC along the beautiful Potomac River. Will definitely choose this place again!

Great for the price, wonderful location. Only complaint was that the pool only open from 5-10 pm. Would definitely return..

Beautiful and tranquil location. Most friendly staff I have dealt with this year!

This place isn't particularly close to public transportation, however it is very close to a large mall and major roads such as 270 an 495. My single room was small but had everything I could possibly need. Although the Internet connection was a bit slow and I had some trouble getting cellphone service. Overall, way more than what I expected for the price I paid.

This hotel has been the best place we have stayed in, while traveling. Our children were fascinated by the room and the hotel amenities! Definately a great place to stay with family.

the only problem was the bed was to hard

Nestled near Potomac, MD, if you don't mind staying outside the beltway, this place should be number one on your list for DC hotels. Acres of woodlands, biking trails, great concierge, grill & bar, excellent staff. Thank you!

Great place to stay with good weekend pricing; outside of DC while close to Metro (shuttle) and all the DC sites. Weekday prices much higher. Our room (in Osgood) was very cold one spring night but better the next night. Buildings well kept and grounds are beautiful. Breakfast buffet has good variety but some of the steam table food was cold

If you looking to spend time in or surrounding the DC areas, this hotel is not for you. It's in a great neighborhood, but It's 45 minute with traffic to DC. The rooms are really small, and I had not cell phone reception.

The Bolger is used primarily as a government employee conference center. If you need to be near the Potomac, MD area, it's a great location, just off River Road. While it's not an opulent hotel, the service is friendly and helpful, and the price is extremely reasonable. There is also an inexpensive breakfast buffet offered. Overall, it's a clean and comfortable hotel with excellent service and a great value.

we just returned from our second stay @ Bolger Ctr., and all i can say is Wow!!! it was even better this time!!! extremely clean!!! our room had a sitting room, complete with tv and computer hook-up. 2 very comfortable beds. and, the bathtub even had a good quality, no-skid mat for the tub!!!! wow. never have seen one of those very important items in any hotel !! ever!!!! this is a beautiful facility, and we plan to stay here exclusively when visiting dc, which we do as often as possible. thank you, Bolger Ctr!!!!
