Except for the stench as you enter the hotel lobby everything else was good about the hotel. The bathrooms could use a little updating. Breakfast was okay. Staff made a good capuchin coffee every morning.

The room was spacious and well laid out. The single bed for our son was a proper bed which meant he got a good night's sleep. The double glazing meant the room was quiet at night even though the area was very busy. The location was very convenient for all the tourist attactions.

The staff at Strozzi were helpful, and very nice - especially the friendly evening front desk attendant (sorry; forgot her name), who called our room after I inadvertently left a small pouch behind in the lobby containing my credit card. There is free wi-fi (lobby) and a computer for guest use in the comfortable lobby area. No outdoor seating, but that is typical in the city. Ideally located. You are within walking distance of the main train/bus station (maybe 7-8 blocks?) and 1 flight of stairs to reach the elevator (although staff will help with your bags if you need them to). Our room was very spacious, and included a small refrigerator/mini bar, desk/chair, flat screened tv, heavy drapes to block sun, king bed (made of 2 twins together - typical in Europe), a/c, and large bathroom (smaller shower though). The breakfast was very good - assorted pastries, bread & toaster, jams, cereals, yogurts, ham, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, coffee/espresso or tea. Side note: I waited too late to book a tour for the Uffizi, or to buy tickets online (need 2-3 days), so we went down around 4 pm. Much shorter line, and got in within 1/2 hour (if that) & had plenty of time to complete the gallery. Their audio tour was well worth the money (5 euros for 1 or 2 for 8 euros), and I noticed it covered the same exact highlights, actually a few more, than the 20 person tour group that was going through at the same time as we were, at much less the cost.

The hotel is terrific! The staff was incredibly curteous. You can see that they go beyond their duties to make guests feel at home. The hotel already offers so much: great location and spacious rooms. Central but not too busy and the breakfast was wonderful. It made for a great stay.

Friendly reception staff on arrival who gave us maps and information of the area. We arrived 12pm and our room was ready. Room on 4th floor and very large for 3 adults. We walked from Florence train station with our luggage. Hotel is in excellent location for all landmarks. Breakfast was sufficient and not too busy. Would not hesitate to recommend to others.

We were greeted by a friendly woman at the front desk who took the time to circle all the surrounding sites on a map. The rest of the stay, however, she and the other front desk employee were not as friendly. Large, comfortable room with lots of windows and a bright, clean bathroom. Easily within walking distance of every major site in Florence and also close to the train station, making for convenient sightseeing and travel.

This is NOT a four-star hotel by any means. Take it from someone who stays at hotels 125+ nights of the year for work. Everything about this hotel is so-so except for the location, which is about a 10 minute walk to all the major sites in Florence. THE STENCH - as soon as you walk in, there's a stench about the hotel. It's unpleasant. My pajamas smelled of it even after I left Florence. NO PROPER SHOWER - There's only a showerhead over a bathtub; there is NO shower curtain or door. This means that the water during your shower sprays EVERYWHERE and makes a big wet mess in the bathroom. THE LINENS - the linens on the bed are so thin that they are practically in tatters - plus they smell of the stench that I mentioned earlier.

Very clean, comfortable and spacious for a eurpean hotel. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was wonderful as well. Would highly recommend this hotel. Its location is fantastic! 10 min walk to train and bus stations and 5 min to the Duomo.

Hotel is very close to the cathedral and all other sites. Situated on a street close to the main city square. The staff were very nice and very helpfull. We would definitley stay there again.

The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating, but for the price we paid to stay at this hotel, we expected more. The breakfast was severely lacking. There were no glass water glasses in the room, only a couple of plastic "party type" cups in the mini-bar. Reception is not on the ground floor, and the elevator is up a flight of steps, so by the time you get to reception and see someone to carry your bags, you have already carried them up at least one flight of steps. We carried ours up the second flight to reception because the elevator took a very long time to show up.

The staff recommended the best restaurants - not expensive and delicious food. They even made reservations for us.

I was really impressed with the location of the hotel. Everything was really close by and the area was wonderful. However, the rooms didn't look anything like the pictures in the profile. Also, the desk clerk was really hopeless when it came to giving us directions. It took us 45 minutes to get to the hotel once we were in Florence.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. However, parking with the hotel is too expensive. I would recommend this hotel, but recommend that you park your car elsewhere. Breakfast was only basic, but is included with the hotel.

We were really happy with the hotel. The breakfast wasn't as great as some others we have had, but the location was unbeatable and our triple room was really spacious. Definitely recommended!

It's close to all the major attractions in Florence. Very comfortable and big room. The only problem was bath tub, where there was no shower system.

The Hotel Strozzi is in the centre of the action in Florence. Close to everything you want to do and see and within walking distance everywhere. Rooms were comfortable and clean and staff were extremely helpful in booking late tickets to the Galleries and providing an electrical conductor, as we forgot ours. Only complaint--canned fruit salad as part of the complimentary breakfast. We would return as it is so convenient.

The hotel staff was very unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. At times, the young man at the desk was very rude. Our room had a bad smell - like sewer. We were not sure if it was because the hotel is old or what. The location was good.

I will stay at this hotel on every trip to Florence. It was excellent value for money and very comfortable.

We just spent two nights at the Strozzi in Florence. The staff was very accommodating to me. I had broken my ankle while in Italy. Florence was our last stop before flying home. The staff was very sweet & tried to make me as comfortable as possible....

Great price for the location in the heart of Florence walking distance to everywhere. Freindly staff comparing the the rude Italian people. Highly recommend

Posizione strategicamente ottima per visitare Firenze. Pulizia camera veramente inqualificabile. I capelli trovati nella vasca all'arrivo mi hanno fatto pensare che tipo di pulizia sommaria sia stata fatta... ma purtroppo il mio voto è negativo per un evento ben più grave inerente la pulizia della camera non effettuata il giorno successivo. All'uscita dell'albergo non ho consegnato la chiave (attenzione qui si utilizzano ancora chiavi e non tessere) e al ritorno a metà pomeriggio vengo informato dalla reception che non era stato possibile pulire la camera in quanto avevo dato la mandata con la chiave e non avevano potuto accedervi (non esiste una chiave di riserva mi chiedo io? E mi domando cosa accadrebbe se una persona si sente male in camera e ha dato la mandata dall'interno cosa accadrebbe? Nessuno potrebbe aprire? Insomma diciamo che mi sono sembrate un po' scuse occasionali). Di conseguenza lascio la chiave e mi allontano (su accordi presi con la reception) per permetterne la pulizia per 4 ore trovando, al mio ritorno, la camera ancora nelle condizioni lasciate (e senza che nessuno in reception mi informasse che non era stata pulita). Alchè faccio presente alla reception la cosa (altre banali scuse) e faccio presente che avrebbero perlomeno potuto cambiare gli asciugamani e fare il letto. Alchè personalmente mi trovo a cambiare gli asciugamani con dei nuovi che mi vengono dati personalmente. Insomma in anni di viaggi per lavoro (mentre in questo caso si trattaveadi un soggiorno di piacere) mai mi sono trovato (per quanto inconvenienti capitano) davanti ad una situazione del genere. Oltretutto il fatto di aver già pagato mette sicuramente il cliente in una situazione sfavorevole.

Pour visiter les monuments de Florence & pour faire du shopping deluxe (comparable au quartier Faubourg St Honoré à Paris) et finalement pour deguster la gastronomie de Toscane car il y a beaucoup de bon restaurants dans ce coin. Seul bémol: escalier à l'entrée n'est pas pratique pour personnes agées & l'enfant avec poussette.

Après une longue recherche pour trouver le bon rapport qualité/prix/situation, nous avons trouvé cet hotel qui répond aux critères. A deux pas des principaux sites touristiques. Bon confort, même si le design n'est pas très moderne. Tout petit bémol : le petit déjeuner est correct (sans plus) mais la cuisine est toute proche des tables et parfois bruyante. Plus embêtant : impossible de garer la voiture dans les environs, nous l'avons donc confiée au garage qui a un accord avec l'hôtel, ce qui nous a coûté très très cher !!! En conclusion, hôtel à recommander sans hésitation, à condition d'y aller autrement qu'en voiture.

Le personnel est accueuillant. Hôtel très propre, très bonne literie. Calme du fait des doubles vitrages et bien insonorisé par rapport au voisinage. Petit déjeuné copieux, mais du vrai pain de boulanger et des croissants seraient un plus. Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter Florence à pied. Rapport qualité / prix = bien

Escolhi o hotel pela proximidade com a estação ferroviária, mas chegando lá descobri que ele está estrategicamente localizado no centro da maioria dos pontos de interesse de Florença. Recebi uma excelente suíte, espaçosa e charmosa. Além disso, o wi-fi gratuito foi uma ótima e útil surpresa.

Alla prenotazione come prima impressione positiva che mi ha spinto a scegliere l'hotel per il mio soggiorno di una notte a Firenze per San Valentino, è stata sicuramente la posizione centralissima, e la bellezza degli interni delle camere; all'arrivo mi sono accorto che l'hotel aveva molto di più da offrire, cordialità, ospitalità e serietà professionale impeccabile, è stato veramente piacevole soggiornarvi, ci ritornerò di sicuro ! Perfetto per week-end tra innamorati. Prezzi, colazione e servizi all'altezza della categoria 4 stelle !

hotel ubicato in zona centrale ben servita da mezzi pubblici. personale alla reception molto cortese e disponibile. camera accogliente, bagno spazioso con finestra pulizia soddisfacente da migliorare la prima colazione in particolare la qualità dei croissant.

Lite hotell som ligger svært sentralt plassert. Vi var tre personer, og fikk et stort, flott rom. Bra frokost. Noe trafikkstøy om morgenen. Vi bruker gjerne dette hotellet igjen.
