the first room we were in wreaked of smoke!!! it was an outdoor opening room and was very loud since there is a country bar/night club on site as well and they use the hotel corridors as hang-out spots. the hotel granted us another room for our 2nd night and it was inside and much better quality overall so it got off to a rocky start but they were able to redeem themselves with their customer service. the hotel overall needs some updating but it has great potential!

price was ok, nice hotel pool area. Would stay again if we were in the area

When we arrived we were informed that the king size bed we requested online was on the second floor and there are no elevators. We declined. The clerk found one on the back side of the hotel. It turned out to have two queen beds. They then offered a handicapped room near the arcade game room. We declined. We got a handicapped room near the front by the lobby. The first night was good. The second night at midnight there was pounding on the wall in the hall and loud talking. that kept going on and on. Finally I called the front desk and the man said they were trying to correct a WiFi problem for their computers. I asked if the noise was to stop soon. He assured me it would, which it did after a while. I feel the desk clerk should have told the workman that he should stop talking really loud and that they should have corrected the WiFi problem after guests were up in the morning.

I had a room at "groundlevel" which was great, as it only was 6m to the pool. I Just stayed over night, but they had checkout till 12am, which was more than I needed. I used the fitness room. The machines where "ok", but there is room for improvement ;-) The pool was great. I loved my stay, and will definitely stay again, when I head from San Francisco to Las Vegas.

Although this hotel is slightly dated in decor, it was very clean and a great value. The property is well maintained and the pool & courtyard is really quite fabulous. Wish we had time to enjoy it more but this was just a layover stop for our trip.

Right off freeway without the noise. Clean, friendly staff, and a nice continental breakfast. Would stay there again.

Although right next to the freeway, it is very quiet. The guy on the check-in desk was extremely helpful, asked why I was there, where I was heading to and, without being asked, printed me a map and directions to my next destination. Simple continental breakfast also included, which was perfectly adequate.

Everything was very nice until we went to use the jacuzzi. It didn't work. That's the one reason I got the room is because of the jacuzzi. Disappointing

The rooms were clean, beds not the most comfortable. Kids loved the pool, the kid zone and arcade though wish spa had not been closed. Definately would stay again!

It is like an old resort where no maintenance has been provided since 10 years. They have great facilities for family but old and not 100% clean. Beds are ok. Breakfast is medium -.

Our family enjoyed the stay. The staff was very helpful, beautiful pool. Very clean rooms. Nice patio looking out to pool. We were upgraded at no charge.Location was excellent. Near restaurants and stores and next to freeway. Excellent value! Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel needs a good facelift. Antiquated to say the least. Security was nonexistant with all outer entrance not having any locks. Close to resturants.

We had a daughter in University at San Jose for the last 7 years. So when we would drive up there from Palm Springs to visit her, we would drive the first 4 hours, use the Hotel Rosedale as a restful break, then get up the next morning and drive the next 4 hours to San Jose. We've done this MANY times and never once dreamed of using another hotel in the area as we were SO pleased with the quality of service, the comfort and especially the low price for such great quality. Only issues we've ever had were just a couple times when other lodgers made noise in the hallways in the middle of the night - but then that comes with even the most fancy hotels (and the hotel employees themselves can't control when something like that happens, until you ask them to, then they're very accommodating). Overall, this place is tops and highly recommended by my wife and I.

When I went to check in , the front desk tried to tell me no rooms available. I was upset after driving from Ariz thinking I had resv, After A while they come uo with A room that faced the Ally and Bar. I said no then I called you to change me to another Hotel. At that point I was told they hadf a cancellation. It was O K room.. When I travel I am alone. I need to know that where I stay I can feel safe.

This was a great place for us to drop in and out as we needed to. The facility and grounds seemed well maintained. The free breakfast was great.

Pros: Easy access from freeway, nice room, AC not too loud, pool looked very nice but I did not have time to try it out, just down the block from Costco. Cons: Room was warm but cooled down with the AC, charged a "resort fee" of $3.50 which was not advertised, grrr. I would stay there again, especially for the price I paid.

Front desk was rude and unhelpful. I was working in town and tried to do an early check in for my husband and was turned away, its hotel policy. We were told hotel was at 100% occupancy but the parking lot was completely empty. While I was working, my husband had to wait four hours in the hotel lobby watching other guests being checked in until I was off work. When we voiced our opinion about how it was very inconvenient that my husband had to wait all day in their lobby we were offered nothing. We asked for a late check out and give an extra hour, its hotel policy. Their hotel policy needs to change. The hotel was in a great location, clean and well maintained but the front desk staff was horrible.

Service was excellent.

I love the Hotel Rosedale. The grounds are beautiful, the location is quiet but right next to the Hwy. 99 and off Rosedale Hwy. Breakfast is good selection. The rooms are comfortable, TV selection and internet connection good and strong. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Great value for cost. Breakfast is very limited.

I waited over an hour to check in, stood in line at midnite until after 1:00 am. Very unsatisfied!!

I had a great stay at Hotel Rosedale. The staff was very nice when I checked in. Unfortunately I was only there for one night but what I could see from my beautiful suite was very nice. Would recommend to anyone.

Clean but very poorly maintained. Rust colored water stains in tub, peeling paint, two lamps not working in room. Value for the price of the room and very good location and safe area.

We were on our way to Death Valley and wanted to stop in Bakersfield to get a good night's rest. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. The accessibility to the freeway was perfect. We accidentally left our personal pillows in our room and room service held our pillows for 3 days until our return trip to pick them up. Very pleased!

Surprised to be able to stay at such a unquie oasis. Not much traffic noise, beautiful view of the poolside. I felt like I had just jumped into the brochure.

Hotel is in desperate need of an update. Nice pool area but the rest of the hotel felt old and dirty. Would not recommend it. There are plenty of hotels in the same area, pay the extra $10 and stay somewhere else.

Went up for a wedding and stayed in this hotel and it was a very nice stay. On arrival the people at the front desk were very helpful . We went to our room and had the jacuzzi suite. This room was very big and comfy. The floors felt a little dirty on our feet but all in all it was in the area needed and everything surrounding this hotel was very convenient also. Highly recommend this hotel .

Our family had a great time. The pool area is really nice. The Bull Shed (resturant) was alota fun! If I'm ever in Bakersfield again I will def stay here!

Other than the balcony overlooking the staicase, I would have preferred a room closer to the pool as those had better belconies, however it was great inside and very clean. All and all a great experience for not too bad of a price.

We ended up leaving our pillows behind in our room and didn't realize it until the next night, when we were five hours away. The staff was extremely helpful in finding them and sending them via FedEx back to our house in a very timely manner. Thank you, thank you!

Good breakfast! Only complaint is you had to slam and bang on bathroom door to get it closed and no ice machine anywhere near our upstairs room!

First off at check in they gave us keys to somebody else's room. So we walked in on an occupied room thinking it was ours... And vacant. After clearing that up, The first thing we notice upon entering our room was not other visitors this time but rather a big fat roach running across the floor(got picture of it). Next, They told us not to use the room towels at the pool but it took us asking 4 times for pool towels then we finally just went to get our room towels. Then about midnight my son got ill and vomited in the bed. We called for clean sheets and were told that everything was locked up and the night crew did not have access. We asked for access to the laundry facility so we could wash them ourselves but that too was locked and staff had no access. We asked for a roll away bed, again no access. We asked for a vacant room so that two adults and two kids, one vomiting would not all have to share a queen bed. Denied. Was told that the only rooms a available, now at nearly 2am were suites and staff did not have authority to let us use one. Finally shortly after 2am another staff member arrived for work and was able to get us a roll away cot. They so generously informed us that they would not charge us for the use of the cot. It was a nightmare. However, the facility looked very nice and the free breakfast was great.

Good location close to restaurants and the fwy. Large outdated room, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good..

I have been staying here at Rosedale off and on for a few weeks. I love it here.

The room was nice looking and clean. One of the hallways had the tile stop and just was just untreated concrete for a while. The spa smelt like mildew. Overall, it was a fine hotel to sleep at. Jus a little rough around the edges when you left the room.

Forgot a stuffed animal and quite a fiasco trying to know if the got it for us.

Broke a long road trip up into two days by doing a stopover in Bakersfield. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable, the morning's buffet breakfast was pretty good too.

Over all the stay was quiet and the staff was more then nice, But one day i was walking out to my car when the cleaning people up stairs was cleaning and as i'm walking out of hallway i feel all the dirt and dust fall onto my head. That was upsetting. Then the last nite i was there i went to get a bottle water from the lil dining area in the room come to find a big roach come out of my things. NOT SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT.
