Hadsten House - سولفانج

The Hadsten House was great! I always look at the cleanliness and maintenance of the bathroom and theirs was fantastic. It is a motel, but they have refurbished it beautifully. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage, and a small refrigerator in the room. There is no smoking or pets allowed, but outside some of the downstairs rooms, they do have a patio table and chairs for smokers, so I would ask about that when checking in if you don't want that near your room. The breakfast buffet was good, your basic eggs, bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, fruit, toast, coffee, and juice. The staff was very friendly, especially the wait staff in their restaurant. We did get some street noise, but nothing that kept us awake. I would definitely stay there again.

First time visiting Solvang - and the Hadsten House was a very nice, clean, and comfortable place to stay. My wife and I walked from the hotel to all points downtown for eating a shopping. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable. I especially appreciated the faux fireplace - made for a cozy night. Highly recommend you stay here!

It was great. Except I was looking forward to the wine and cheese. But I guess they did away with that.

No espresso at breakfast?!?! VERY limited "full" breakfast...... Nice enough room for the price....

Clean and comfortable. Nice hot breakfast was a plus. We did experience some traffic noise-- I would request a room away from the main street if possible. Front desk was helpful and cordial. There is a small fridge in the room, however no microwave on sight, so could not re-heat saved food. It would be helpful to have a microwave available in the common area for guest use. Very conveniently located for area shopping and activities. Would stay here again.

I'm guessing that this hotel was recently remodeled, the rooms and dining area were quite beautiful.the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to just about anywhere in town, and there is a small grocery store next door. The only complaint I might have is that the walls appear to be a bit thin. we had some noisy neighbors, but one call to the front desk got us a nice room in a quieter part of the hotel. the young lady at the front desk was nice enough to bring us the new keys instead of having us go to the front desk. That is what I call excellent customer service. the free breakfast that was included was very good for a buffet style breakfast. The eggs we're done well and not dry and the bacon was still crispy even though they were piled up in a warming dish. I would without hesitation stay at this hotel again.

I recently stayed at PickWick hote for a weekend trip. I was alittle sceptical, but to my surprise, very nice hotel. Better than i had expected and priced right. My room very clean, alittle smal but for the price excellant. only complaint, walls alitte thin and parking charged me $40.00 a night. Located just south of Union Square. Very centralized location. I would recommend to all.

Since our last visit the hotel has eliminated the afternoon wine and cheese and no longer serves pastries (Olsen's) at breakfast. These were two factors determining our choice of this hotel. Next time we'll call around.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel while we celebrated out anniversary. This hotel has a great deal of personality. While not apparent on the outside, once you enter the reception and the rooms, you can tell that a great deal of thought has been put in the decor. The place has a vintage feel to it, but that's only the decor. The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and comfortable with modern equipment like flat screen TV and DVD player. They offer complementary breakfast that goes beyond bagels and donuts. They actually have french toast, scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, bacon, cereal, fruit, etc. At night the restaurant has a very intimate and romantic atmosphere with a great menu. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it is worth it if you want to drink some wine and not have to drive after. We will definitely stay here again next time we come back to Solvang.

Hotel location is perfect; away from all the stores for peace and quiet, yet still walking distance to wherever you want to go in town. Room is nicely decorated, modern and comfy. There"s not much info at the lobby for what to do in Solvang, and the front desk ladies were not much help at all. Got info from visitors info in town instead.

Good restaurant with great wine, great pool, friendly staff, will def return

I was so excited about this place given all the beautiful pictures but it fell a little short from impressive. There's no micro, it's a bit tough to find parking at night, and the walls are a bit thin. I'm glad we stayed here for the location though

Great place in Solvang, romantic and relaxing!

Although it says that there is a fireplace, it's just an imitation fireplace. Funny

Clean and comfortable room. Only down side was being on the bottom and someone on the top floor was getting ready and leaving at 3 in the morning. No elevator so chose the bottom floor.

If you have lots of luggage..ask for the 1st floor..otherwise you are lugging suitcases up stairs...Nice surprise...small dining room...great menu and very good....not advertised..guests use .

Just on the edge of historic old town Solvang, beautifully appointed room, clean and well-kept. Hotel staff was nice enough. We only stayed one night so we didn't interact with staff much, but it was nice we didn't need to.

If your visiting Solvang or any surrounding area, Hadsten House is definitely the best place to stay.

Having a room open to the outside was very noisy. People think nothing of talking loudly as they pass by our room. Parking in front was something we heard at all hours to, and the houses behind us had some guy working with power tools that drove us crazy.We loved the hot breakfast, it was a very nice treat. Maybe offer some pastries, bagels or muffins instead of just toast.

The hotel is located on the west edge of town, close to all the shops and restaurants. The room was exactly what we requested and was ready when we got there, even though we were early. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was nicely decorated, very well maintained and cleanliness was excellent. The first night there the folks next to us were rather load but finally knocked it off around midnight. But then that can happen anywhere. Other than that we were very pleased and would stay there again.

Our stay was enjoyable. Room was well furnished and beds were extremely comfortable. However, lighting for bedside reading was poor and heater automatically adjusted itself to 75 degrees in the middle of the night. I loved the hot buffet breakfast served each morning. Delicious! They have done an extreme makeover to this old property. Despite the excellent job in hotel style upgrades, remodelling and decor, it is still a motel but a nice one at that. Service was only adequate. Young staff needs more training on how to provide quality service.

Hadsten's rooms are smartly decorated and clean. They serve a delicious breakfast and the location is very convenient to Solvang.

The hotel is close to just about everything and all our stays there have been pleasent and relaxing.A good caring hotel staff.

I totally enjoyed our stay. It was a warm, comfortable space. We were to see a concert that evening at 8 pm. It was so cozy and comfie that we awoke after 8 pm having missed our concert. Beautiful indoor pool. Complimentary breakfast was good. Coffee was good. Staff was friendly but not intrusive. I'll go again when I need a quiet place to land.

Older building and not very sound-proof - some traffic noise - but we'd stay here again. Good coffee and breakfast.

breakfast buffet needs some organization and they ran out of food.

Excellent hotel. Very clean, big rooms. Very good restaurant. Nice breakfast and we had one of the best Dinner's ever. We will definitley return, we are already talking about returning for our anniversary.

My husband and I stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend and we both really enjoyed it. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The room was very nicely decorated and I really enjoyed the color scheme, decor and fireplace. The only downside was that the bed is a little soft and the pillows were not very comfortable. (Easily fixed if you bring your own... or if you like down pillows that your head will sink in to.) We ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was very good. The proximity of the hotel to the "downtown" area of Solvang (basically where all the shops are) was great! We were able to shop, eat, and wine taste all within walking distance to the hotel. We loved it & would definitely stay here the next time we are in Solvang.

We loved this hotel. Everything we needed: decent room, walking distance to shops and excellent complimentary breakfast (one of the best we've had actually).

I really enjoyed the hotel but what really made me what to come back is the connections the hotel gives you to the surrounding tasting rooms and wineries! The one thing that I would say that was a negative was the "breakfast buffet" it was very small and there needed to be more staff available to help restock.

Staff was very helpful and sweet. Continental full breakfast was fine. Spa not open. Great outdoor jacuzzi. They no longer do wine and cheese in the afternoon. Very convenient to wine areas!

The front desk people need training to smile, make eye contact and at least pretend that they enjoy their job. But the room are superlative! Housekeeping is amazing! We actually witness a room being cleaned after a guest left and literally they stripped it down and they spend time making sure it's done correctly. Then we witnessed a person going around after for quality control. The breakfast was excellent. It was worth the money. We can forgive the poor service at the front desk because we didn't deal with them the rest of our stay.

This is a difficult review because The Hadsten House does so many things very well, but when it came to the room, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable because it was EXTRA firm. Our number one criteria for any hotel is the quality of the sleep, meaning a quiet room and a mattress that can give good support but also be compliant in the hips and shoulders, since we are both side sleepers. It's too bad because this place is really nice in every other way.

Excellent well furnished room with all amenities. Good restaurant on site, with plenty of choices for dinner and breakfast. Quiet location, very convenient for our journey. Just a pity we did not have time to explore the fascinating Danish town.

The location was walking distance to shops and restaurants. The room had been updated; nice bed, great shower (with drains that drained), and more than adequate space. I would stay there again.
