This certainly was not a 5 star hotel. Maybe the sister hotel around the corner. Room was small, carpets old and torn and furniture quite worn out. Centrally localted but so are the other hotels nearby.

We stayed here for a few days. Nice location near Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and the subways. Nice staff only issue is there wasn't WiFi available in the room only down stairs. otherwise i doyen my stay

This hotel exceeded all of our expectations. Large, well appointed roon with large bathroom. Convenient location. Steps to the metro and close to major attractions - Via Veneto, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain. Accomodating staff. Recommend highly.

Gorgeous lobby, great location. Room smaller than expected, but then again it is Rome. Would stay there again. Great staff.

The staff was very polite and the area was great but the beds where so uncomfortable ( 2 single beds put together and one was broken bending to the right side a hole in the middle of the bed the size of the grand canyon , very unromantic for a couple) the lights where broken and the A/C as well, making it very cold in the room. We asked for it to be fixed but nothing could be done. then after ordering the room service i found 2 flies in my glass of wine to adult flies sinked at the bottom which means to me that they have been there for a long time and made me wonder if the recycle there win from old glasses, cause usually when a fly lands in ur glass it floats. After the check out we had to ask for the glass of wine not to be charged after we saw that they charged us. I dont recommend this hotel unless your a back packer. Not a 5 star hotel!!!!

Overall hotel stay was good; however, it did have several areas that shopuld be noted: While it is centrally located, the hotel did not provide a swimming pool, stating that it was inoperable, we did not receive several wake-up calls, the biggest headache was that we were on the first floor - right over the disco which boomed every night until 12 midnight (what a headache). Although I made arrangements with the hotel desk for a car to the airport they only informed me that they could not get a car when I went down for the car. I ended getting a cab by myself.

At one time this might have been a 5 start hotel but can no longer be classified as such in my opinion. THe gym was inadequate, the spa wasbasically non existant (they called in massage therapists from another hotel) and the bars were not staffed. While I was there they were having trouble with the internet and wifi service which might have been a blessing due to the cost to use.

We stayed here in July and the air conditioning was wholly insufficient. The staff was not terribly helpful in addressing this, either.

Modern and chic hotel which is apparent from the time you enter the lobby (which is dark to say the least). Although the bar and lobby area has the potential for a great lounge, we never saw one person utilizing the space throughout our stay. The one downside to our visit was that we did not feel as if any of the staff were very friendly (except the doorman). They never once greeted us and we were made to feel as if we were bothering them with the two questions we asked in two days. Despite this,the rooms were thought out well in terms of space and unique features like a jacuzzi tub and great toiletries. All of the amenities were comfortable and the location was central to many sites, shopping and dinning. I would recommend this hotel overall, just don't expect any customer service. Oh, go check out "White" late at night down the street for some great drinks, deserts and super friendly staff.

Surprised this is a 5* hotel, NOT good value for money. Reception staff v. good but took 3 emails and 2 phone calls to get confirmation that they would be picking me up when i arrived in Rome. Rooftop bar, excellent staff and good food but poor vista. Would go for something more modern with a better view next time.

We found this hotel to meet our every need and were very pleased. Would stay there again.

Easy walking distance to the Fountain of Trevi, Spanish Steps and Novona. Hotel is very modern which is an interesting change of pace as you come back from the ruins. They recommended a great restaurant that we wouldn't have found on our own (Hi-Res). We would definitely stay here again.

When we arrived we were told that we get upgraded so I am not sure if this was the reason why we were so happy with the room. Sizeable room, nice big bathroom, high ceilings, very quiete, very big comfortable bed. The hotel is almost overloaded with disgn but I have to say the quality of bed, carpet, bathroom etc. is top. Very good and big door, no noice at all. All over I would highly recommend this hotel.

The service was fantastic all around. The room was very comfortable and clean. Really enjoyed our stay.

The service was great all around. As with rooms in Europe, a little on the small side. The decor I did not like at all. You walk in and you are greeted by a black and red coloring and samari warriors. Very odd to me.

'My wife and I had one day and evening to spend in Rome and were greatly disappointed to learn upon arrival at our hotel that we booked from Hotels.com did not have our room. We were not contacted by email or telephone and this wasted our afternoon transporting and checking in to a substitute hotel. This is not the customer care I expect when I book from this website and we were very disappointed.

The Aleph experience was delightful. The ambiance and style of the hotel is a as good as the service. Steps to monuments, subway, and shopping. Perfect stay for a few days in Rome.

They have no wifi in the lobby and charge a ridiculous amount of money to have Internet access in the room. To top it off, the tv has 12 stations. I had to wait two days to get one of two irons they had for guests and then had to sign a document saying I would be responsible for damages the iron might cause. I never got the box of tissues I requested three times. Not a five star in terms of service. There was some kind of what looked like black mold in the bathroom corners. The room was chic and quite comfortable though.

The room was small, and the bathroom was just dangerous. The bathroom was elevated over the room so you had to go up these slippery little steps to get in there. It would be easy to misjudge the steps since they blend in with the bathroom floor. The tub was even worse!!! It was more like a deep hole in the floor with nothing to grab for help in or out. We managed, but we're in our early 30's and keep a sporty lifestyle. Our parents for example, probably would not have been able to manage. The front desk lady recommended an overpriced and not so great restaurant, but the guys were nice during checkin. The spa was 2nd rate along with the gym equipment, and the hot tub was out of order. The hotel is located in a nice area with lot's to see and do nearby.

Rooms were clean and comfortible. Good location within walking distance of many sights. Staff was very friendly. Would stay again.

I loved this hotel becasue it was so close to everything. The only problem was the soup, shampo and sleepers in the room. We didn't get soup till the next day althoug I called as soon as we got in. They don't provide sleepers to use in the room and bathroom. No refill for shampo or conditioner. I expected more for a 5 stars hotel.

From a cost-benefit standpoint, this hotel loses. While it's generally okay, it's very expensive and for the price, doesn't deliver anything beyond average.

The hotel did not live up to our expectations and I would recommend people looking for a 5-star hotel to look elsewhere for the following reasons: (1) Very small rooms. Had booked a 3-person room but got a small double room with a lousy extra bed. Concierge did not offer reasonable compensation. (2) Pool was out of order during the entire stay (3) Ice machine was out of order and the front desk personnel kept forgetting to bring ice when we ordered it

The room was ok, but we would have wanted a chair to relax in. Had to sit on the bed. Deluxe room had a big bath, but not more comfort in the room than the superior room. It was close to metro, Spanish stairs and Fountain of Trevi, so the location was excellent. There were many hotels in the area, so I think You can find one who is cheaper with the same l good location

GREAT HOTEL!!!! great location, great staff, dont listen to the stupid reviews, people LOVE to complain!!.....great places to eat around hotel!!! if you go outside hotel, takea right, walk down to light and cross street BEST pasta u will ever eat!!

A friendly and efficient welcome awaits you at the Aleph a boscolo. The location is very good, on a quiet side street but close to restaurants and bars and Spanish Steps. The decor is very black and red and modern - quite a dark feel in the public areas. There's a nice roof top terrace for drinks, and the complimentary snacks from the restaurant with drinks were very good. Room was very small - but clean and comfortable. Stair carpet needed vacuuming. We didn't have breakfast - so can't comment on this. I'd say 4 star rather than 5.

The hotel has a good location, near the Barberini subway station. The room was small but clean. There was only one english language TV channel. The bathroom was small and the bath tub entrance was high so the tub was difficult to get into for a shower. In retrospect, I should have changed the room. The AC worked well. Breakfast was not included. Both the breakfast menu items and the buffet cost were relatively high but the quality and selection were good. The hotel had a roof top bar and we used it on 3 evenings. The staff was extreemly helpful in suggesting outstanding restaurants that we could walk to.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel experience. It is a contemporary hotel with high tech features throughout. The location was great. It provided easy walking access to many sites, including the Spanish Steps, and the Metro was only a block away.

In general the hotel & location were perfect. We had selected this hotel because of the ratings on hotel.com. About 1 week before we left, we checked the ratings again and saw some comments about the air conditioning. It was a little warm during our stay (early Sept) and we too had trouble keeping the room cool. It was as if the hotel set a temperature and we could only adjust the thermostat 3 degrees past that temperature. The other minor thing is that the shower door broke and it took 3 days to get it repaired, a little inconvenient but not a big deal. The upstairs deck is fabulous and great place to relax after a day of site seeing.

Great location, but a very small room and average bathroom were not consistent with what I would have expected for a 5-star hotel.

Beautiful, comfortable rooms. Good buffet breakfast with excellent service. Great location - great access to restaurants, shopping and sites.

Great staff up in the roof top bar which was great. great antipasti every time we got a drink there and they were very attentive. elsewhere i think the prices were somewhat over inflated. We checked out in a rush and somethings were left at the hotel room and at no stage have they tried to contact us to return the items. We went back up to the room 5 mins after check out but the items had gone already. Left a nasty taste in the mouth seeing as I actually proposed to my partner there and we had enjoyed ourselves until then.

This was not a 5-star hotel. The room had lights that were not working, the air-conditioning was faulty, and the shower had long hair in it that caused the drain to back up. When I asked for an ironing board, they brought me something that was from the 1950s. The closet was the smallest thing I've ever seen. The TV was about 20 years old and had only 1 english-speaking station. Hotel staff gave me a better room, but I will never stay there again. Very disappointing!

The only thing Five star about this hotel is the price. I have recently stayed in three star hotels in Italy that would make this hotel look like a motel. Very disappointing

The bed was a regular full king and we had a vaulted ceiling which made the room feel gigantic. The staff was multilingual and extremely helpful. I would happily stay here again.

Hotel was located close to Bernini station and walking distance to Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and restaurants. Nice quiet location. Decor and ambience of hotel was very modern and trendy. Rooms were large, comfortable and clean. On our first night we had 2 double beds joined together. My husband complained and they immediately set up a new room for us with one King bed. Breakfast was not included in the price paid and was quite expensive so we had breakfast at nearby cafes. Mini bar was also extremely expensive and internet was 20 Euro/day! If this hotel offered its clients those added extras like free wi-fi (pretty common nowadays!), breakfast, and a little more of a personal touch it would really stand-out. Overall, good hotel. We enjoyed staying there. But we paid less for other hotels in our stay in Europe and received a lot more for our money. Maybe it was due to the hotel being in Rome?

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The lobby is gorgeous and the customer service is very nice. The room was small by American standards but pretty large by Italian standards and was generally very nice. What keeps us from giving it an overall rating of 5 is that it was clear that the carpet was not vacuumed...otherwise, very nice and a great location.

The Aleph Boscolo in via San Basilio in Rome is an excellent hotel in the center of Rome with a wonderful SPA. I regularly stay there. Highly recommended.

The hotel exceeding all my expectations. The neighborhood was great, the staff was great, the room was great. I would definitely stay here again as well as recommend it to friends.

If you're into luxury boutique hotels that are modern and trendy, this is the spot for you. Think of the lounges, restaurant, and lobby as a darker, red version of the W hotel look. Rooms are more neutral in look but still modern and good looking. The surround sound clear into the bathroom was sweet, along w/the rain fall shower head. Water pressure could've been better but maybe its a Rome thing.

Hotellet service var god og veldig imøtekommende når vi hadde noe å utsette.Rommet var lite, men rent og hadde det nødvendigste.Etter første natten opplevde vi å våkne med noe som ligner loppebitt over det hele. Hotellet mente det var myggbitt og vi ble tilbydt å bytte rom. Lørdagen når vi skulle i spa anlegget var dette stengt hele ettermiddag og kveld pga privat tilstelning. Takterassen var også stengt uten at dette var varslet på internettsidene deres. Var kun åpen om sommeren og ikke ved regnvær. Skuffende. Området rundt hotellet var ok, og det er gangavstand til det meste. Ville nok foretrukket et annet hotell om vi reiser tilbake til Roma

The service and atmosphere at the hotel was very good and especially the people in the reception were VERY service minded. The hotel is placed in a quiet area in working distance to the most of Rome’s attractions and just 2 minutes work from the metro and a lot of busses.

Très bon séjour pour 5 nuits. Attention pas de service petit déjeuner dans les chambres mis à part demandes spécifiques le matin même.
